Waxing the City fomerly Wax in the City

Waxing the City is absolutely the best place to go for waxing in the Denver area. I tried Waxing the City at the recommendation of a friend and was very happy with the entire experience and the results. I will admit I did try other salons closer to home strictly for convenience, but was never as satisfied as I was with Waxing the City. From now on I will make the 20 min drive to get the best service and the best price. I have been to several different cerologists at Waxing the City and have been happy with all of them! You can't go wrong.

I did not receive a good wax at wax in the city at the last time. I was rushed during my appointment and and my legs were not ended.I was charged less , but anyway...
The guy from the reception made the mistake with the time and the service i odered on the phone ...he told me to come at 3.15 but the appointment was scheduled at 3.00, that is why i was late, i asked for full legs and bikini combo, and he put in the computer half legs.That is why i did not get what i expected. Only 3/4 of my legs were finished because the girl did not have enough time. Interesting who is going finish the rest? And they did not suggest another one to finish my service. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!So i left them with unfinished waxing and have to find someone else who will do their job. ..

Waxing The City does a great job with my brazilian. I've seen a level 1 and level 2 and for the price, it is a very good service. However, I've watched the estheticians double dip! I am also an esthetician and that is the number one thing not to do when waxing.

I saw Abagail. She was very professional and did a great job. It was the first time I was getting a Brazilian wax and I was nervous. Of course it doesn't feel good, but Abagail did a great job and it was quick and what I believe to be the least amount of pain possible. I would definitely rec her to anyone. While she is only a level 1 waxer at this salon, it is not based on years of experience but time employed by waxing the city. I have already booked my next appointment.

I started going to "waxing the city" three years ago and fell in love with both Alex and Summer who both did a magnificant job at anything I needed done. However, recently it has been near imposslible to schedule an appointment with either, as they have opened another location in Texas. I have tried many other technicians with horrible results! Too bad they have tried to expand at the expense of quality and service...

I got in the same afternoon I called, and Stacey was great and did exactly what I wanted. I had far less irritation and redness post-wax than I usually do. I will definitely be going back to her, my brows look clean and perfect. The place is clean and chic. Best of all, check out the ad in 5280 for 50% off the first brow service!

I went to the lodo location for a Brazilian with Skye. She was fantatstic! Made me feel very comfortable and talked with me the whole time. It was fast and much less painful than the ones I have had before at other places. I left really early because I thought parking would be bad, but found a place right outside on Market. Would definitly recommend this place and Skye!

I have been going to Summer at Wax in the City for years. She gives my brows a very natural shape, and the waxing is almost painless! The redness from the waxing goes away much more quickly than anywhere else I have been. Highly recommended.

I had never gotten a bikini wax before, let alone a brazilian! I was always skeptical and nervous, but I decided to do some good research and try it! I read a lot of reviews on city search on Wax in the City. I was amazed at all of the rave reviews this place was getting. It made me feel like i had been missing out on the best waxing spot in Denver! Jessie Dillard's name came up OVER and over in my research, so I booked my online appointment (very convenient) with her! I had my appointment this morning and all went well! Jessie did a great job of coaching me through the process, educating me on it, and explaining what she was doing. I would highly recommend her! She was friendly, down to earth and has a lot of experience. If you are wanting a home run experience, book with Wax in the City! Thank you Jessie and Wax in the City!

I went to Wax in the City in the Tech center for a leg wax. Not only was it less expensive than anyone else but there no tipping policy on top of it was great. I didn't believe the other reviewers when they said the results lasted twice as long but mine did. I usually get my legs waxed every 4 weeks but I was able to go 7 weeks later. Anyway, I now won't go anywhere else.

I came here because of all the great reviews I've heard, and I wanted to see for myself so I made an appointment for a brazilian which I had an ok experience from another place the first time, but decided to try it here and wow what a difference. I saw Charlene and she made it very comfortable for me and the service was very professional, and the pain was also minimal. Charlene was very professional and friendly and I plan on coming back and recommending this place to everyone.

After having a horrible first experience with brazilian waxing, I finally got up enough courage to try it again...based on the wonderful reviews on CitySearch. I went to Jessie, and I was shocked at how much difference the hard wax makes! It was a million times better than I first experienced, and now I see Jessie regularly. She is just wonderful...so nice, very professional, and amazingly fast. I highly recommend Wax in the City for any type of hair removal!!

I have been coming to Wax in the City regularly for 3 years. I love that you can make appointments online and they always start and end on time. I go to Jessie and I LOVE it. She is so personable and also does an excellent job. The hard wax for sensitive areas hurts MUCH less than every other salon I've been to that uses the soft yellow wax. In fact, I moved out of the state a year ago, and after a few miserable experiences on the east coast I make sure to make an appointment every time I'm in town!!

I am so surprised to read anything negative about Wax in the City (except the downtown parking issue). I have been going every 5-6 weeks for over 2 years. I am a man who gets a total body wax (yes, that's right, every hair below the neck). I am always treated with respect, never feel rushed, and ALWAYS get a wonderful end result. Jessie is so professional and thorough and makes my 2 hours go by quickly and with minimal discomfort. I have recommended her and this place to many people, including my wife, who have ALL had great experiences. Having had waxing services performed in many cities over my lifetime, I can say without hesitation that Wax in the City and Jessie are incomparable. If I end up having to move again, I plan to come back every 5-6 weeks so I don't have to find someone new, who will undoubtedly be not as good and more expensive.

I did not receive a good wax at wax in the city. I was rushed in and out of my appointment and I ended up with scabs a few days later where the wax took the skin off on my bikini area and I still had patches of hair left. I am from Boulder and saw the bad press about wax in the city in Boulder but since I am living in Denver now thought I'd try this location.

Wax in the City is the spa I've been waiting for. I first started getting my legs waxed when I was 14 (I was weird) and 10 years later this is the best place I've ever been. I've heard a lot of waxing horror stories that were mostly due to the inexperience of the aesthetician, but that will never happen here. Waxing is not supposed to make you scream, no matter what anyone tells you. You will pay the same price here as you will at a regular spa where the aesthetician does NOT specialize in waxing, so why risk it? I've gotten the best and quickest brazilians here -- minimal pain, results lasted forever, and Leah is FAST. My only critique is that the receptionist seemed shy and quiet instead of friendly and outgoing.

I have been going to Wax In The City for a while now to get my brows done. I always see Melissa, and she always does an amazing job - I've even gotten compliments on them! I have referred friends to her and know they've all been satisfied with their brows and bikini lines. She always checks that everything was removed, does a bit of tweezing to ensure perfect shaping, and is quick and as painless as having hair ripped out from the root can be.

Whenever I arrive, I'm greeted right away, given the form to fill out, and offered a cold drink. Though they do sell their own brand of products there, I've never been pressured in any way to buy anything. My service is always quick, friendly (I'm amazed at how much she remembers about me from my semi-monthly visits!) and reasonably priced. I love the "no tipping" policy - it eliminates that awkward decision on what the "right" amount is.

I'll never go anywhere else!

Wax in the City is the only place I'll ever go to get any waxing, ever! I've been other places, while traveling, and can say without hesitation that they are heads and tails above the rest. I never pick a specific cerologist, so I've used many of them, and have only positive things to say about those who I've used. Don't make the mistake of going anywhere else--I wish I hadn't!

I love, love, love Courtney at Wax in the City! She is a wonderful waxer and a very friendly person. I've been going to Wax in the City for a year and I have never been disappointed. They are fast, conveniently located, experienced and professional. I would highly recommend them to my friends.

I booked a Brazilian wax several weeks ago and liked the professional staff on the phone. They asked some basic but pertinent questions and gave me the date and time that worked for my schedule. While orginally scheduled with Courtney, I was taken back by Melissa within 30 seconds of filling out my paperwork. She was gentle, moved quickly but not in a rushed way, chatted with me the whole time while positioning me just right for that special hair removal. Really there was no discomfort, some quick stinging for only a second. I was in and out in 30 minutes, on time for my next errand and felt great. I will return for sure, set up the next visit already.

Pros: Smiling professionals who actually enjoy their jobs, very refreshing!

I just got my first Brazillian with Jessie Dillard. She was awesome!!!! Not nearly as painful as I thought it would be--She was quick, professional & did a great job making me feel comfortable! Front desk service was great too!

I have moved around the country quite a bit and know how difficult it is to find a quality brazilian wax. I discovered WITC 2 years ago and was thrilled. They use the "blue/gentle" wax for that area, or the yellow with strips depending on your preference. They are thorough and usually quick, but tailor the visit to suit your needs. If you prefer no tweezing just let the cerologist know. The price structure does not allow for tipping, which is handy. I now visit the DTC location and recommend Alex and Kate in particular. There is a 50% off first service coupon on the citysearch website.

I went to Wax in the City to get my brows and bikini done and have been back several times now. I have had a few different girls there and have never been let down. They are fast which kind of worried me the first time, but after looking over everything it was as clean as can be. I'm working my way towards the brazilian and feel confident that they can get the job done. It's also very clean and priced well, but there is a difference in price depending on who you go to.

I've been waxing one thing or another for as long as I can remember so there is a healthy list of women who have waxed the most intimate areas of my body (and in quite a few cities including DC, SF and Rio). I adore most all of them for providing this great service but none of them takes the time and care that Cherri takes. She is as good as it gets!! It is almost a given that after a Brazilian I come home and find a stray hair here or there or straighten up a line. Cheri listens to what I want, asks how satisfied I am while she is working and never misses a hair.

If you are the kind of woman who has taken many a friend for her first brazilian, ripped hair out of almost every follicle of your body, live by your tweezers and know exactly what you want your bikini line to look like then you will LOVE Cherri - she gets your obsession and you will never let anyone else touch your bikini line again.

She is also fabulous with eyebrows.

The no tipping policy is enforced and a great concept. But you will leave thinking that Cherri is worth twice what she costs.

I just moved from DC/MD area to Denver a few months ago and was in desperate need of a Brazilian bikini wax. After researching many places, I found Wax in the City in 5280 as the best wax in Denver. I made an appointment and was SO glad that I did. The staff reminds you of you apt via telephone call the day before (which is so nice) so you wont forget. Everyone was very friendly and I had Kate Estrada as my wax specialist. She made me feel very comfortable and did such a great job. She is quick (which I always want) and makes sure that she gets every hair-even if she needs to pull out the tweezers. I have gone there a few times now and noticed some poor reviews, which doesn?t sound like the Wax in The City that I?ve been to?so I thought I would let everyone know another opinion. It?s a great place to go?.I actually look forward to it (I never thought I would say that) But its true...I would defiantly recommend it...you have to go!!

What an amazing place! I have been going to WITC for a little over a year now and was totally hooked after my first visit. Jesse is wonderful, attentive and a great multi-tasker. The owners are always very friendly and the girls that work the front desk are super sweet.
They are great at finding time in the schedules to get in and get out. Everyone is super knowledgeable in the field of waxing and most of all the customer service is consistenly wonderful. Consistency is difficult to achieve, espacially with three locations but they have managed to not only be consistent but to raise the bar.

I have referred many newbie?s for first time Brazilian?s and have heard all rave reviews from them as well.

Keep up the great work and we'll keep coming home soft and smooth.

I recently went to Wax in the City after a good friend persuaded me that this was the place to be, I'd been wanting a brazilian for a while now, but was way too chicken (I've heard the horror stories!). Since my wedding was coming up I figured it was now or never. I was a couple minutes late (the location is a bit tricky), but it was no problem. I saw Leah for my brazilian and Kate for my eyebrows, and I have to say that I was extremely impressed by how quick, efficient, and professional they both were. Leah really put me at ease, explaining her steps along the way, and Kate made my eyebrows look great! I would recommend them to anyone, these girls are true professionals, I will be back!

Let me first start of by saying I am fairly new to Denver from Los Angeles and I thought I had found the perfect place for all of my waxing needs. My experience today was very disappointing, as I now feel I need to find a new salon. I have been to Krista for bikini waxes a few times and even referred a few people to her that absolutely love her. Krista does an amazing job every time. She is very friendly, puts her clients at ease, and is the best bikini waxer I have ever been to. I booked an appointment at the DTC location and unfortunately Krista was not available. I decided to book it with someone else because I was in a hurry to get in. I arrive to my appointment and find out that the person I booked with does not do Brazilian bikini waxes and that my appointment was only for a regular bikini wax. I wasn't aware that I needed to call out the fact that I wanted a brazilian as I never have before. (I don't think it is a true brazilian anyhow) The staff was whispering all about the salon and finally said that a girl named Leah could take me in a half hour. My appointment was at 12:00 so that would mean 12:30. I heard Leah tell the receptionist that she would be taking me at 1. When I asked her what happened to a half an hour time she quoted me (I was on my lunch break) she began to be very rude to me and talking to me like I was stupid. Saying I had only been in there once (like because I wasn't a regular I didn't really matter.) That's when I decided to tell her not to worry about it and I would just go somewhere else. I used to love this place but now I have a different opinion. I will never go back to the DTC location and will make sure to tell my friends that I have referred in the past to think twice before going back.

I have a good and bad experience! Like every has stated they have EXCELLENT service. This is the first ever Brazilian wax I've ever had, I WAS SCARED! But everyone was very polite and made me feel very comfortable. The whole waxing down there wasn't as painful as I had imagine it to be although the wax it self felt very hot as a result, my skin is peeling in some spots. I don't want to name the person who did mine, but as she was tweezing some of the hair out that the wax wasn't able to pull out, she was pinching my skin the whole time and now I have some scabs theres. Also, when i had used some No Bump ( I bought from Sallys) it stung in those areas. I'm going to give it another try, only because this is Denver's #1 choice and my bf is coming home in a month from his deployment. I'm just hoping this next time goes better. =(

Kate just did my first brazilian wax and she is so good. I have been on and off waxing my bikini area myself for ages so it was a little short, but I was going with a friend so I decided to get it done anyway. Kate totally managed to get the whole thing perfectly clean and she was amazingly fast. My friend, who has never waxed before, was terrified and they did a great job with hers too. I was so happy to find somewhere I could take her without worrying about her having a bad first time. I'm definitely going back regularly.

Getting waxed can be an uncomfortable experience, yet I always look forward to seeing Jessie at Wax in the City!!! I've been going to her for about two years and she is always professional, clean and fun to talk to. I've had my sensitive skin ripped off by several other aesteticians, but the hard wax they use at Wax in the City is so gentle it barely even hurts at all! Also Jessie chats with me thereby distracting me from the whole experience. If you need to remove unwanted hair then Jessie is your girl!!!

The staff here are all very friendly. I've had brazilians done by almost all the girls--they are all very comfortable to get a wax from. However, I've found that Alex does the most thorough job and still gets it done in less than 30 minutes. She takes the time to tweeze all the missed stray hairs, which might sound painful, but if you've ever tried doing it yourself, you know it's a tough task when you can't really see down there! Alex also does the best job of pulling the wax--my waxes have lasted the longest when she's done them. Hours are convenient at both the downtown and the DTC locations--they both have early evening hours so you can fit it in right after work, and downtown even has saturday hours. Most of all, you can't beat the price $45 to $50 including tip. Also, very easy to book an appointment online. No more awkward conversations when you're on the phone at work trying to quietly tell the receptionist that you want a brazilian wax.

I have been a faithful client of Wax in the City for the past year and I can say that they are by the best! They have the 'pick one thing and do it right' attitude. They use hard wax and offer Tend Skin (for ingrowns and after waxing redness) They have their own line of products, CERA, which is all natural and they also offer Pangea orangic soap. Can you believe this though........ they have never had a cerologist leave them, NEVER! There's no salon drama, gossip, or turn over here, it really is a pleasant experience. Smiles all around and I always feel like a whole new woman when I leave. Go see these girls seriously. I mean when it only took twenty minutes for a full brazilian, come on would I really go anywhere else? Booking online was fast and easy and PRIVATE! I just followed the directions and got my confirmation number :) They book fast though so call or book online in advance or cross your fingers for a cancellation.

I have seen Courtney twice for a Brazilian bikini wax, and I have had a good experience both times. At first, I was a little nervous and uncomfortable, but Courtney was very casual yet professional. She really put me at ease. Although the whole process is painful (I won't lie), it is definitely worth it! And it is true that it gets better the more you do it. Take a couple of Advil before you go, and it's really not that bad. Wax in the City uses hard wax all over, which is definitely much better than the strips. No red burn marks...just smooth skin. I would suggest using some products that you can get at Sally's after you get waxed such as,"No Bump" and definitely exfoliate! I have had good experiences at Wax in the City, and I plan to always go back. The price is really reasonable and the no tipping policy makes it even nicer! Truthfully, I wish the process could be a little quicker, but I guess the results are worth it!

From the moment I walked in the door, I felt at ease. Jessie and the staff are fun and relaxed, making a potentially uncomfortable experience one I would recommend to all my friends! Going in for my first Brazilian wax was definitely nerve-racking, but Jessie was so good at her job (as well as the art of distraction!) I barely felt any discomfort, and couldn't believe it when she was done! I had prepared myself for a slightly embarrassing, definitely painful experience, and that couldn't have been farther from what I received. I would highly recommend Wax in the City to anyone!

Brazillian waxes have a tendency to be awkward, painful, and not worth the money or the time. However, a Wax In The City Brazillian done by Cherri is comfortable, relatively painless, and worth every penny and every second. If you have yet to get a Brazillian wax take my word for it AND GO GET ONE NOW. I promise you will walk out of the room feeling fresh and clean. You'll walk by some stranger and think to yourself "You have no idea what I have going on down there" and walk on with a huge smile on your face feeling almost...naughty. Cherri does an amazing job at making you feel comfortable and takes enough time to do a really thorough job but not too much time that feel like you have been lying there for days. The price is the best I have ever heard of and the no tipping policy makes it that much better. It is so refreshing to pay your bill and not stress out about how much to tip. I have been to Cherri four times and I am headed back next week for number five! Do yourself a favor and call RIGHT NOW. Oh, and remember to mention City Search because I'm pretty sure you'll get a discount for your first service.

After thinking about it for quite some time, I finally got my first Brazilian on Sunday. My appointment was with Leah- a super sweet, super professional girl. She did an awesome job and I got over my pre-wax jitters very quickly. I was in and out of there in about 45 minutes. It's definitely not painless-- but hey, beauty is pain! I am done shaving--- I'll be going to Leah from now on!

The ceratologists are all very profession and extremely friendly. I have my lip waxed and they always make sure to remove the finest hairs. It is fast and you don't even have to worry about tipping. I love this!

I am definitely spoiled and will not visit another salon for wax removal.

I had my first waxing experience today with Jessie. I decided to go all out and get a Brazillian. While painful, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Jessie was very quick and very thorough and friendly. she chatted with me the whole time and made me feel much more comfortable than I would have otherwise. I'll definitely be back.

I visited Wax in the City for the first time last night. Courtney was my cerologist and did a fantastic job. I have been getting waxed consistently for the past year- and this was the first time I can honestly say it didn't hurt! Very professional, very clean- great prices. I am recommending Wax in the City to all of my friends.
