Mazary Hair & Extensions Studio

I was having huge issues with my previous salon and located Mazary online through google. I called on Friday and was able to get an appointment for first thing Saturday morning. I arrived for my appointment an hour early (due to my own scheduling mistake), but it was not a problem. Mariam welcomed me and took me right in. The entire staff was welcoming and kind. My hair color is beautiful and my cut turned out great. I have received numerous compliments and am already scheduled for my next appointment in six weeks. Thank you so much, Miriam! See you soon!! I've had hair extensions for 3 years and had them done in major US cities from Atlanta to Seattle at the best salons. On 7/2007, I moved to Dallas &searched for The BEST once more! I found it! Mazary!!! Miriam & her wonderful stylists have given me PERFECTION over the past year. I write this review, because I believe Miriam's attention to detail, instruction on care, and advice on what products to use, and also MY RESPONSIBILITY to take care of them properly is a recipe not just for great looking extensions, but healthier, stronger, more shiny hair in general. My hair looks great & is growing unbelievably.I can't agree with the sob stories about people getting home & having their extensions "fall out"! This just doesn't happen, it NEVER happens. (probably buyers' remorse) Look, Miriam can give you all you dream of in long beautiful hair, but if you don't use the proper shampoo/conditioner, brush, follow the very simple care instructions at home, you'll probably have some issues. SHE TELLS CLIENTS THAT!! Extensions always come with instructions! I just replaced mine on 8/20, which were put in 6/5. In those weeks,I spent 3 wks at the beach, in pools, on boats, in the sun, having to wash, style often...guess what, I didn't lose ONE precious extension from 6/5 until 8/20. I just cared for them as I was told. I had them replaced, because my hair had grown almost 2 inches! My hair is so strong and healthy now, I barely needed 100 ext.'s in my very fine hair! MIRIAM, is a physician of hair (being a health prof. myself, I know compliance is key). Miriam knows what your hair needs, she doesn't send you home without explicit care instructions.FOLLOW THEM, use the right shampoo/conditioning product,etc. take care of them! I went to Mazary 3 weeks ago to have extensions put in my hair for my wedding- They did not last even 1 week-
Exactly one day before my wedding, I started having problems- I was in a complete panic- I was trying to get everything in order for my wedding that was supposed to take place in less than 24 hours and had a family dinner to go to later that evening- I called Mariam to explain my delima, hoping I could get in to get them fixed, instead of her offering to make it right, she automatically starting making negative statements towards me, saying it was my fault and had to be improperly taking care of them for them to start falling out-
I ended my call with her and immediately called my best friend, who came right over and was able to temporairly fix them- I ended up going somewhere else after the wedding to have them fixed correctly-
I was reading the reviews posted here to see if any one else has experience what I have, and It amazes me what the positive reviews say- I was not in any way abused while I was there, but I did not see any staff flock around anyone, spoil them, or offer choclates- Instead, it was just a normal place, with alot of sale pitches, which I considered a little on the pushy side, trying to sell their prodiucts- After my experience, I spoke with some of my friends who have also been to Mazary, and I heard the same thing from them- Basically, it is just a normal place with high prices-
I will not go back and have learned just because a place is expensive, it does not mean you are going to get that professional look-

Mazary - my heroines! My former stylist, who I've had for several years, left for a salon out of the area. I searched and searched for a new place. Finally found a salon I felt comfortable with...and went and had new color and asked for a trim. The color was great, but the trim was a disaster. The "trim" became a full blown "cut", which cost me 3-4 inches in length. The ends were done shaggy, which left my fine hair looking horrendous. I found Mazary and called quite desperate on a Monday morning. Miriam answered and was completely compassionate about my plight. Even though the salon was not open that day, she offered to meet me that afternoon for a consult. After discussing options, she booked an appointment for me the following morning. When I arrived, I walked in and started bawling. Instantly 4 women (3 Mazary women and 1 fellow customer) surrounded me. They gave me hugs, delicious hazelnut coffee and a scrumptious brownie (who doesn't love chocolate TLC?!). I was given a great scalp treatment and massage, deep conditioning treatment for my hair, received a complimentary hand massage and then Miriam did a gorgeous job recreating my cut, only taking off what length was necessary to get the style back in order. I am delighted with the outcome and highly recommend Miriam and her ladies. They create a wonderful environment, treat each other and their customers with the highest respect and a commitment to excellence. I will be back again and again and again. Thank you, Mazary. You are my angels!

I read the reviews and I was really excited that finally I found a place that takes good care of my hair. But after going there, I realized it was just average. I don't think it's bad, but there's nothing impressive about it. One thing I didn't like was the sales pitch. It was non stop offering for services that I didn't need. It started with thousands of $ worth of extensions, to hair color, hair vitamins, hair treatment. I only went for a simple haircut and the sales pitch took longer than the cut and the styling.

I was ready for a big change and didn't trust just anyone to do it, but am fairly new to the area, so had no idea where to go. I found Mazary online and decided to try it based on the reveiws. I am glad I did. I went from long hair to very short, received an overall color and even a pink hair extension. It was fabulous all around. It was more expensive than I thought it would be, but I've thoroughly enjoyed my new style and have received lots of compliments. I feel like I've found a great salon and will be going back. I've already recommended it to several friends.

Miriam is the best I have ever seen. I have natuarally curly and very thick hair and she does a FANASTIC highlight and low light. I have had many compliments on my color. It looks very natural. If you don't mind spending several hours there then this is the place for you. It is definitely worth the time and money. I won't let anyone else touch my hair.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating as soon as you walk in the door. They offer you a drink and want to make sure they start at your appointment time. Alicia listened to what I had in mind. I was going in for a change in hair color (from blonde to red). Even though my color is not exactly what I told her I was looking for, she assured me that the first time, it may be darker than expected. She explained that red is a hard color to achieve and that after she can see how it fades and "takes" to my hair, we would get a better result. I plan to stop by after a week and let her look at it and see what she thinks about adjusting the color solution. Everyone was extremely polite and I will definately visit them again soon! The prices are more than what expected, but since I am new to TX this may be the "norm" here. Thanks to Alicia and the rest of the staff!!

This was definitely one of the most pleasurable experiences I have had at a hair salon. The owner and the staff are the most hospitable individuals and ensure you are thoroughly taken care of. They continuously check to ensure you have everything you need. The best part of all; this was the best highlight and haircut I have had in the DFW Area. They ask relevant questions to ensure they meet your expectations each step of the way. I brought in a picture of exactly what I wanted and they exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend you book your next hair appointment at Mazary's. You will not be disappointed!!

Miriam and her staff are unbelievable, that is all I have to say. We all hear stories about how expensive services are -- especially in North Dallas. Mazary is worth every penny & more. Miriam goes above & beyond and so does her staff. She immediately understood the quirks of my hair -- knew what would work best with the shape of my face -- and took the time to tailor the cut to my personality. I had been to Mazary Hair Studio almost a year ago for hair extensions, and after having recent surgery with some hair loss, I really wanted to get the extensions again.
I was in the area one day and just thought I would stop in Mazary's and see about getting my extensions done there after remembering how pleased I was with them the first time. Well when I walked in, it was like I had never left. Everyone in the salon remembered me and greeted me, and It was so nice to see that the same girls were all still there too. From the start, Mariam knew just what I needed with extensions and hair color and was also willing to start at that moment if my schedule allowed it. We decided to do the color right then and I would come back the next day for the extensions. After the color process, I was amazed at how beautifully Mariam had transformed my old highlights and color into whole new tones that were so much more flattering than before. That is when I knew that I should have been going there all along for my hair color.
The next day, when I came in, Mariam chose the perfect extensions with just the right colors to match my own hair and then Affi did all the application. I soon saw that Affi was a true master at applying hair extensions as she worked in just the right patterns of color, it was like she was working on an artisic masterpiece.
When she was finished, I never believed my hair could look that amazing. I have had extensions a few other times from other salons, and I have to say that this total application showed the major amount of talent and skill it takes to do a beautiful head of hair extensions.
So, If you need hair color or want to take the plunge into the world of hair extensions, you will surely be rewarded greatly by the talents and expertise of these girls at Mazary Hair Salon time and time again.

The next day, Mariam chose the perfect extensions to match my new color and by the end of that appointment, , my new hair extensions integrated into my own hair looked absolutely stunning. Affi did all of the extension application and she is truly a master at hair extensions. She worked in the perfect colors with my own color like she was creating an artistic masterpiece. The entire process did look like a work of art and I never realized how important it is to work in just the right color extensions in the right patterns to match your own hair color. I don't think I will go a year again without visiting Mazary's again because I believe you can truly walk in and put yourself entirely in that staff's hands and feel the most cofmortable and confident in anything any of them do. They are a true gem to have in our area. Thanks to all of the staff, and I will see you again soon.

This hair salon is very accomodating to me. I am handicapped, and have difficulties styling my own hair, and the staff here helps me find ways to accomplish this. I am very satisfied with their service. I can walk in with no notice and they will help me.

Whenever I'm in the studio, I am made to feel as if I'm the only patron there; smiles are on all of the faces; services go beyond just physical improvements. I'm always relaxed & have fun. I leave with stylish, up-to-date looks.

When I decided to have 10" of hair cut off for Locks of Love, I went to Mazary, because my grandparents always go there and rave about it. I was not disappointed; my new style is AWESOME, and I've been able to help someone else out in the process. I really recommend them!

I've gone to multiple salons in the North Dallas area over the last 10 years, and the best I can say about most of them is they were great for damaging my hair! Mazary has reversed this trend; my hair is now the perfect color, the damage has been corrected, and I am completely satisfied. The staff is friendly and attentive, and I even have my husband going now! By the way, although not an advertised service, they are also superb at eyebrows!

My wife moved over to Mazary from Regis - they were doing too much damage to her hair. She had excellent service and prompt attention, along with appointments on the day and time we needed because of our jobs. I thought "Why not?" and so I tried it out, instead of the Sports Clips cuts that I had been getting. Superb - haven't been any other place since!

I have been searching for a place to call home when it comes to my hair and I finally found it. I have never had anyone get my blonde the nice vanilla color I have strived for. Now I have. They worked to gether as a team to make sure everything was right and I was happy. They actually asked me If I was happy with the color,they didn't just do my hair and take me to the front and tell me the total. I love this salon!

My hair color experience here was excellent. I was not as happy with my cut, initially, but I've had a few days to work with and I like it much better. I think it's one of those haircuts that will continue to look good as it grows out. The color, however, is absolutely amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

I was looking for a salon after moving to TX from Denver, CO. I gave Mazary a try because they had great reviews and were nearby. Everyone was very friendly, Miriam listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. She made sure I was happy with the cut and highlights. The gals who do the shampooing and blowdry did and great job too and were very nice. I will definitely be back!

When I moved to Texas from Southern California I needed to find a hair stylist. Price was not an issue as long as I liked the cut and color. I'm someone who decides at the last minute to get my hair cut or colored, so I needed someone who would make time for me with short notice. I tried the Jose Eber salon in Plano thinking that the higher price would result in a better look (which it didn't) and Toni & Guy because I waited too long and needed my hair done right away, but didn't find what I liked until I tried Mazary. The owner, Miriam, has a wonderful, warm personality and makes you feel at ease immediately. She does a good job on my hair, which I like to have look professional and stylish. Miriam is always willing to fit me into her schedule when I call at the last minute, even if it means coming in earlier or staying later than she had originally planned. I highly recommend Mazary for both cuts and color.

At almost 5:00 pm on a Saturday, I was wanting a haircut badly and doubting I'd find a decent place that would fit me in. Especially not with my normal guy! I googled hair salons in the area and found all the great reviews for Mazary's, so I gave them a call. Astonishingly enough, a very sweet man answered the phone and said they could take me in 15 minutes. WOW! I drove over and I was greeted by the same man outside, he walked me in and offered me a beverage, some complementary wine! I've never had wine at a salon before, this was a first! I was seated immediately and the wonderful Mariam took care of me, looked at my hair, listened to my needs, and gave me a beautiful cut! Her assistant, Pari, did an amazing job weaving my eyebrows ( which was also a first)! I was very happy and very pleased with this AWESOME staff in Plano. Thank you so much I will definately come back again!

Mariam is the best! I used to hate my hair, it never seemed to look the way I wanted, then I found Mariam. She has her own unique style that always makes you look fabulous. Mariam is a genius. Whether you are my age 53, my daughter's age 21, or my mom's age 81 her team can handle us all. I have been going to Mazary for about 8 months and my hair looks great ! My 81 year old mom no longer is a "blue hair" but is ash blond with low lights and the envy of her friends. My redheaded, blond, brunette, pink haired daughter says the girls "rock' ! and her curly, unruly hair is sleek and beautiful-no matter what color she comes home with ! All of our hair looks and feels healthy and all of us are repeatly asked who does our hair... MAZARY ! See you Thursdat Mariam !

I've moved here from Beverly Hills, California and for about one year I had nightmare experiences in 3 other professional salons located in Plano. The Mazery Studio is the first place I left feeling happy about my hair and scalp condition since I alway go lighter than my natural color. The people who work at the Mazery Hair Studio are very professional, hard working and do a great job. If you don't like something they are always willing to work with you so that you leave happy. Kristen is a great colorist and she did a wonderful job the last time I was in the studio. I highly recommend the them!

This place is absolutely amazing....I have been going for a year now. I discovered it on citysearch as it was the only place I could find review of all the salons in the area being new in Dallas. I have naturally dark hair and for someone to get highlights with the just the right color to make them look natural has always been near impossible. But Miriam is a color expert...she knew just the right combination of color/tonor to get the perfect highlights. I recently had my highlights done by one of the new girls and she was amazing. She was meticulous about rehighlighting the same strands and getting as close to the root as possible!!!! Even the girl who blowdried my hair was amazing. My hair looks wonderful and I have Miriam and her staff to thank for it. Miriam you are a gem...I wish you all the best!!

When my hairstylist/colorist left town I was hesitant to go anywhere new. I sure picked the right salon this time! Mazary is the perfect place if you want expert attention to detail. I had my hair cut & styled, colored and highlighted. The results were very natural and my stylist was able to give me the fashionable hairstyle I have been afraid to try. I will be a patron for life.

This is my second visit to the salon and I got the same great color and cut for a great price. They also stock great hair products called fx suds that you can't find in a lot of places. I haven't got extensions, but I have seen their work and it is amazing how real it looks. The owner or manager won't allow a stylist to do an up do, extensions, etc. unless she is great at what she does. They are very serious about making sure every client walks out with a smile and wants to return. It is nice to finally find a place where I know that I am going to be heard when I ask for something and trust the person to do a great job. I travel all over the country for work and I will wait and let the gray show before I will go anywhere else!

Being the most incredibly picky human alive about my hair, and being so much so that I will literally at times wait to get my haircut until I visit DC (where i lived & had the most wonderful stylist), which sometimes doesn't happen except for 1x per year, (i've lived in Dallas 4 years). And when I have ventured out into Dallas / Plano area to try out different salon's, well... to put it nicely... I never go back.

It was until today, when I pulled up the yellow pages in Plano, because i was desperate for a haircut before I went to Vegas, because it's easily been at least 6 months since i'd gotten a cut and my hair was below my waist, and just dead as can be on the ends, that I found my permanent stylist in TX. Today (I just got back from getting my haircut) I called the salon after finding them in the yellow pages. The phone was answered promptly and Miriam informed me that while they were closed, she was going to be in the area and would be more than happy to meet me. (first impression - NOW THAT"S WHAT I CALL SERVICE!). She met me there in moments, and while the shop was closed, she was more than accomodating.

She looked at my VERY long hair and was complementary, especially since she specializes in Extensions, "do you know how much people pay to have this hair?!" She said. I told her I definitely wanted to keep it long but i needed a change. I gave her the same explanation as above regarding my luck w/ stylists and my perameters were simply, "keep it long, make it more layered and styled, and healthy healthy healthy." She said I'll make you happy.

And SHE DID! Within 30 minutes (and that's while juggling phone calls etc... - because she was the only person there) I had a completely new and styled 'do EXACTLY what I didn't even know I wanted, it was perfect. It's like she talked to my hair in secret and they came up with the perfect solution together for my head! :) Go there! It's absolutely worth it. I'll be a loyal customer forever.

I donated my hair to Locks of Love. Miriam did a fantastic job taking my long hairstyle to a short one. I like it so much that I'm keeping it.

The only down side for me is that she is far away, but worth the drive.

I recently moved from Hawaii and was desperately in search of a new stylist...after many failed attempts, I fortunately came across Mazarys. Geri does a great job and although I usually had my hair in a very light blond she suggested that I tone it down a little and add more highlights throughout. It looks great and I am pleased that I have found someone to replace my old stylist. I have long hair so I couldnt use the extensions but I have watched others receive them and they are gorgeous...Also for any one who likes threading instead of waxing, this is the best place I've been able to find in Dallas.

When I first came to Mazary to get exstensions I was a little nervous because I have had them done before from someone else and they did it a different way and it damaged my hair but Mazary does it where they bond it. I have nothing but positive comments from my friends on how great a job they have done of making it look so natural. My boss who has gotten them done for over 7 years was impressed, she couldnt believe how you couldnt see any of the bonds. I also get constant compliments on the coloring variation in my hair. The way they are able to mix so many different shades of blonde to get it to look so natural is amazing. They have great people that work there and they are quick as well. They are great at taking last minute appointments if they can. I would recommend them to anyone who needs exstensions or who simply just needs a highlight. Great work Mazary!

I am very particular about who I entrust my hair to, after receiving more than my share of bad haircuts over the years, so when I relocated to DFW I was very nervous, and unsure of who I should go to. After researching salons for a few weeks, I decided upon Mazary. From the moment I stepped into the salon, I was put at ease, and made to feel completely comfortable. Everyone was so friendly, and helpful, and I was offered everything from a drink to lunch. Miriam was so professional, and concerned with my comfort from start to finish. She really listened to what I had to say, and using her expertise, created a beautiful haircut and style that fit my face shape, personality, and personal style. I love it, and will continue to come back to Miriam again and again!

I have used Mariam for many years to color my hair. She always does an excellent job, she is a color genius! I have very fine hair so it is important to use a color EXPERT so my hair does not get damaged. I have tried several hair styles and lengths?even extensions, but Mariam knows what looks best on me, I trust her implicitly and always just put my hair in her hands to do what is best for me. I?d follow her anywhere, but it is great to see in this great shop in the wonderful Willow Bend location. I would recommend her to ANYONE, best wishes to Mariam and the girls.

I just got my hair extensions done here, and was just blown away by the wonderful job and terrific customer service. Everyone in the salon was super nice, helpful, and talented. My hair has never looked better.
The salon was sparkling clean, and they were super helpful, always making sure I was comfortable and happy. (I was)!
I left feeling as though I'd made new friends.
I recommend Mazary Salon to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW-My sister also gets her hair extensions done here. They were so gorgeous, I couldn't wait to go get mine done there. I'm soooooooo happy I finally did. It's the best investment I've made in a long time.

There are many places in DFW to get extensions now, so DON'T go here! The extenstions will start falling out immediately, and the extensions you just paid $2000 for?? Go back to have the ones that fell out replaced, and they will charge you another several hundred dollars. Some of the "assistants" that are putting in extensions at this salon are not certified. They badmouth their clients after they leave the salon! They also use cheap color here. Ask to see the product!

The Mazary Hair Studio is lovely. I'm not the best at conveying what I want, but Mirium was great at taking what I said and morphing it into a color. I got an all over color and highlights and it looks wonderful. They have superb teamwork, one person will color, one person will rinse, another will cut, and the end result is great. The staff is so friendly. As we all know hair treatments can sometimes be time consuming, but the time flies because of the great atmosphere they provide. Plus they offer you a beverage about every half hour. When you're there you don't feel like you're just a head of hair, but a person. Their attention to detail and customer service will keep me coming back.

If you've had a bad hair cut you know what it's like to try and get the nerve up and go to another salon. Well imagine if you had a bad hair cut, top that with terribly damaging color and now your hair is falling out!
Thank goodness for Mazary Hair Studio and their team. The first good sign was when I called a friendly voice listened earnestly to my tragic tale and when I finished she talked a little about procedure and price then told me if I was still interested come in a consultation.
Jade took about 15 minutes to chat with me and show me different extension options and it was all so very personal. When I came in a few days later the entire team was ready for me, Marline did a absolutely perfect job on coloring my hair, without even a color chart she mixed up amazing tones and highlights making my hair so radiant and natural.
Then Jade, a total rock star if I ever saw one up close, shaped the nasty remains of my hair into a sassy and classic style. But this hairdo heroine was just getting started. Next Jade was joined by Ashely, a heart stopping talented styles, and they both began putting on 3 or 4 different colors of extensions. Both Jade and Ashley won my trust and heart with their honesty and sincerity.
Everyone in the salon worked as a team, very relaxed and casual but attention to detail was always top of mind. These lady's helped each other with different customers, joked and yet every customer left with perfect hair and a smile of satisfaction. The confidence this team exudes makes you feel at ease. Jade and Ashley transformed my hair and my confidence.
Keep in mind this was not my first visit to one of Dallas' "premier" salons, so I was ready for the snobs, over priced products, harsh attitudes and egos. What a relief to not have all that at Mazary. Just fabulous stylist, personal atmosphere and excellent attitudes! Jade, Ashley and the entire Mazary ? YOU ROCK

Mazary Hair Salon is a cut above the rest in Dallas. I've been coloring my hair for.......oh, years (ha), and the customer service, professionalism and brand of products used at Mazary has made me select this salon as the one for ME. It is well worth a drive from Midlothian! Everyone is friendly, the stylists and staff actually LISTEN to the clients and know what they are doing, and just the general feel of the salon while I am there is enjoyable. I have received more compliments on my hair since going to Mazary than in all the years of having my hair done. I highly recommend this salon!!!!
