I discovered this place because I had an internship across the street, and just wandered in one day.
Everyone was very nice, and the place was very clean and comfortable.
Armando is a complete sweetheart! He took time to give me a free consultation and his honest expert opinion.
I am a student so I don't have that much cash to spend, but this place is GREAT GREAT quality without over-pricing their services.
I definitely look foward to going back to get my hair done. :-)

Its so obvious the majority of these 11 reviews below are fake. I used to go to this salon religiously. Its easy to get an appointment and it has a good location. I went at least once every two weeks either for a trim,blowdry,manicure, color, etc for about a year. I even sent people I knew there. You could say I was a loyal customer who spent thousands of dollars there. However this salon on the other hand has ZERO CUSTOMER LOYALTY. The receptionists and at least 2 of the stylists have the worst attitude and the people in charge dont really care if you leave happy or not. I learned this the hard day. One of the hairdressers completely ruined my hair with the way she colored and cut it. Thats fine and all but they did nothing to rectify it after. No discount, no offer for me to come back and get it fixed, nothing. Just attitude from the staff making me feel like I am the one who did something wrong, and like it was my first time there. I am not one to try to get free things or discounts but this time I felt strongly that this salon was wrong. They charge everything ala carte which is fine but usually salons will at least dry your hair after an expensive cut/color/highlights. Not this one. Expect to see 40+ tacked onto your bill at the end. I spend my money now at a much more famous and established salon (Frederic Fekkai)who actually does care how you feel about your hair when you leave and will try to win you back if you arent happy. I was happy to give this small and lesser known salon (Peter and Company) my business but obviously they would rather have an attitude and false pride.

To anyone who is like me, i love to keep up with the newest hair styles, then you must go see the best stylist for hair extensions, Elvira. I have traveled far and wide in NYC and have never found anyone who can do hair extensions like her. She is always up to date on the latest trends and uses the best techniques. I go with confidence knowing that once she is done I will look great.

The stylists at Peter & Company are the best i have ever been to. My regular stylist ELVIRA, is a professional and friendly person who always does an excellent job. Whenever she colors my hair it looks so natural, and I always get tons of compliments. It is a wonderful space to walk into, not extremely expensive compared to other Manhattan salons, and the service is SPECTACULAR. I could spend a day there and it will go by so fast after having some refreshments, lunch and the wonderful hands of ELVIRA work on my hair. I totally recommend this place!

I went for a regular bikini wax today. I called ahead to make an appointment for the same day. When I arrived early, I was seen within a few minutes. I was actually finished by the time of my appointment! The waxing itself took a little longer than at the place I usually go, but was still under $10 minutes. The end result looks great. The woman was very friendly and thorough. Great price for this service. I used to pay twice as much somewhere else! I plan to return.
