I regularly lift weights and do cardio training but the treat of this very personal pilates studio when I am in NY adds something really special to my routine. I recommend Bent Pilates highly either as a regular part of your exercise schedule or as a break from your regular routine.

I have been doing Pilates for about 7 years and I'm very happy I found Kim and Bent Pilates. Sometimes Pilates is a great workout but grim and serious, other times it's a great workout and lots of fun, energizing and inspiring! Kim and her team make it fun and energizing every time, which I greatly appreciate after a long day behind a desk or long flights on a plane. Plus my back never hurts any more since I became a Pilates regular. Highly recommended!

I started taking pilates here several months ago and it has been a true joy. I train weekly with the owner, Kim who is amazing. She provides very clear instruction and guidance. The group classes I have taken have been great as well. All in all, I love this place and look forward to heading there every week.

Bent Pilates changed my body in only a few months from a not so toned body to a body that was much more defined and absolutely stronger.
I thoroughly enjoy the group classes- not only are they fun, but I feel as though I get a high level of detailed instruction and great individual attention.
Not only are the teachers are high caliber, the size of the class makes all the difference in the world. Pilates is meant to be incredibly personalized in order to correct imbalance in the body. Bent's teachers are great at making the all important special adjustments to the individual students throughout the class.

Pilates classes at Bent are absolutely fantastic. The teachers are pure gold and they will completely change the way you think about exercise and wellness. It is a total body workout in an environment that is supportive and challenging AND great fun. If you have never tried Pilates or never tried Bent, you HAVE to check it out. I've been meaning to check out this Pilates studio since I live right around the corner. And am I glad that I finally did! I've completef several one on one sessions and cannot reccomend this studio highly enough. It's clean, and has a great neighborhood feel. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to Pilates and have been looking for something to augment my cardio workouts and this has been perfect. Anyone would love doing pilates here.

I work near this studio and walked by it for months before trying it out. So glad I did- it changed my physical and mental health for the better! In just a few sessions I noticed improved posture, less aches, increased flexibility and better muscle tone. I have some medical impediments from previous fractures and the instructors have been incredible about working around my limitations and giving me a great workout. I especially love the group classes and have enjoyed individual sessions with the owner, Kim. I highly recommend going - it is intimate, personal, clean and reasonably priced for great instructors.

I have worked with a number of instructors at Bent, but Robbie is my favorite. He gets the job done with a laugh or two or three, but pays attention to what my body needs. For example, if I am out of balance hell pick more specific, slow and strengthening exercises with some hands on stretching. When I need to really strengthen a certain area of the body, he works that so deeply that I feel the effects for days. Its a fun laid back atmosphere and the vibe of the studio feels like you are not in New York. Its a home away from home.

I started going to Bent Pilates Studio when I had tension headaches. Before long my head aches were gone, my posture was better and I felt better overall! The staff are professional and friendly, and the exercises always evolve to how you are feeling that day to ensure that you are always improving your body and enjoying your workout.

We look forward to every Thursday night. Thats the night we have our duo session with Kim at Bent Pilates Studio. We both have very different needs as one of us is disabled with MS and one of us has osteoporosis. It was our Neurologist that suggested we try Pilates to gain muscle flexibility. It has been about three years now and Kim has managed to give us both a great workout while being highly tuned into each of our special needs. Pilates is not only good for the body but its great for the mind. At Bent Pilates Studio, the instructors employ a wide range of techniques to address each client. There is something for everyone. And one of the best parts of our weekly Pilates session is that our abs get a super special workout because we laugh like crazy. It is a great time. Kim, owner of Bent Pilates, not only brings years of expertise to her training sessions, but she also makes it such an enjoyable experience that you really don't mind that your abs are getting a workout. She has a well balanced base to her routine and then adds a nice variety of exercises in order to help each individual work on their specific needs and challenges. She has an amazing knowledge of the skeletal muscle system and the different injuries that can arise from certain activities. Whenever I've had something bothering me, she immediately knew which muscle needed to either be stretched or strengthened. Definitely check out her studio if you haven't already.

WELL TRAINED, friendly teachers which makes it appealling for newcomers or pilates divas. Creative one on one training keeps clients coming back from more. Most clients can't get enough. Kim K runs a great studio. Space is wonderful. Atmosphere perfect. I went once and have signed up for more and more. She's motivating, works you hard. The fastest hour of exercise I have ever had. Plus, her sense of humor gives your abs an additional workout! I am afraid people will find out about her and her studio...and then what will I do????

After trying several Pilates studios in the mid-town area, I finally found the best. Bent Pilates offers me everything that I want in a workout. The staff is extremely well-trained and very experienced. Also, my sessions are specially designed to meet my personal goals, and they are very affordable. The location and the environment of the studio are great too. Even if you're not in mid-town, this is an experience worth traveling for. Bent rules!!!

Kim is one of the most energetic and inspiring teachers I have met. I travel all the way from, gulp, Brooklyn to study with her. My body focus and energy has increased so much since starting with Kim and I love the cozy atmosphere of her studio in comparison to the larger ""factory"" style studios.
