Minneapolis has some fantastic restaurants...this is NOT one of them. I wouldn't even go so far as to say that their food is decent.

I've tried several items on the menu....I give up..Today I ordered a reuben and calamari for delivery. It was terrible and over priced. $30 with the tip - and the corned beef wasn't even edible. That was their last chance. Their crab cakes are especially bad...very greasy.

Do yourself a favor, save your money and try another restaurant.

I used to be a real big Trocaderos fan. I??ve been going there for a little more than a year and a half. I enjoyed the cheap lunch buffet. I got to know a few of the managers. They would always make a point say hi and see how I was doing, occasionally even gave me some show tickets. I brought my family to a show and I felt really important because they knew me by first name. I even had a small party in the boardroom. The only manager that talks to me now, just rambles about nonsense and doesn??t even seem to be interested in talking to me per say, he just seems to want to talk constantly. I??ve found it to be strange and intrusive while trying to eat. He has even argued with me a bit if I have any suggestions. Final straw happened recently when I had a problem with a credit card there, and the woman I talked to on the phone was rude and just downright disrespectful, acting as if I was trying to get something free when all I was doing was asking questions. So long lunch buffet, my cardiologist will miss you.

Pros: cheap lunch

Cons: rude/weird people

We have been getting take out and delivery from Trocaderos for several months now. The food has been good which is why we keep calling. A group of friends got together at Trocaderos for some food and drinks. Our group had a good time and stayed later than we were planning. The server was very nice and kept checking in on our group. We like what Trocaderos has to offer.

My husband and I brought our kids to see our son play with his band at Trocaderos. Trocaderos was easy for us to find and parking was convenient. We arrived early to listen to other groups and get some food. The staff we talked to was pleasant and the food was very good. It was fun to watch the music so close. We really had a good time and watching our son do well was the best part. We enjoyed our evening so much, we are planning on having a party for our parents at Trocaderos.

I started going to this club when it first opened. Parking has always been a problem...plan on using valet. The food used to be great and the staff used to be the best....what happened?? Food is lacking and service doesnt exist....I have an hour for lunch....not two!! Management has apparently gone on vacation. It's a shame....

We just went to a concert at Trocaderos and really enjoyed our evening. We arrived early and had dinner. I wasn't aware they served food but it was suggested by a friend. Our server was nice and the food was good. We finished and had some drinks before the show. We ending up meeting some very nice people and watched the show together. We all had a very nice evening and intend on visiting Trocaderos again.

I work at Trocs and enjoy it there and so do the people I work with. The customers are friendly, there is always something going on, shows or parties. I have worked at other places but like the new management staff at Trocs. They are easy to work with and take good care of our customers. I like it at Trocs and have never experienced a situation that would make me want to change that. My friends stop in often and like Trocs. They have been to a half dozen shows so far.

I really enjoyed their Sunday Brunch and Lunch Buffet it is almost as good as the Old Country Buffet you can sit and eat for hours! However I??m disturbed by all the bad things that are said on the internet about Trocaderos. I cannot support a business with a reputation like this! There are negative things posted all over the internet about this place. Check out craigslist or the city pages blog. The comments are pretty disturbing.

I have eaten at Trocaderos and like their lunch buffet. They have a good value. I do some work in the area and eat there when I'm nearby. A co worker of mine has also eaten there and gets take out from them and is the one who told me about them. I recently went to their happy hour and stayed for a concert. My friends and I had a fun time and enjoyed it. The employees we talked to were nice. It is a very nice place.

I recently visited the warehouse district and went to the lunch buffet at Trocaderos. I found it surprising that it was so dead (no one was there). The buffet was cheap but the food was very greasy and tasteless. I guess I shouldn??t have expected much for the price. When I was in the buffet line a filthy cook came out looking as if he had just slaughtered something. He was really sweaty and touching the food, it was gross!! If I wanted to eat sweat for lunch I would have gone to the gym! Yuk! I tried asking him a question about the food and he actually talked to me as if I were mentally challenged. It was ridiculous! In fact all the staff seemed a bit off. It made me seriously wonder if they are possibly running some sort of rehabilitation program. (Which is great if you??re helping people) But let your customers know, so they know what they are getting into. After reviewing the reviews on here I noticed more than a handful of them (positive ones) seem to be fake and a pretty obvious half-assed attempt to promote your own business. Here??s an idea spend your time improving your food, staff and environment instead of pretending to be a satisfied customer, you??re not fooling anyone. Clown!

Pros: Cheap & Quiet (totally dead)

Cons: Gross food & Being talked down to

I went to the "Executive" / Friday buffet and it was awesome, could not believe what was offered for $7.99. I know the options may vary from week to week, but this buffet had salad, roasted potatoes, asparagus, spaghetti with Italian sausage, turkey and dressing, cranberries, crab legs, salmon, shrimp, chicken, prime rib, bread sticks and a desert bar. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I will have to go back and try the other days' buffet selections. I was told that:
Monday: sandwiches, pizza and several other items
Tuesday: Asian
Wed. Italian
Thursday: Comfort home style foods - potroast, potatoes, etc.

I cannot wait to go back and try them all.

Visited happy hour with coworkers, enjoyed the atmosphere and their pizza was great. We plan to visit more often. Went with friends to hear some music this weekend and really had a good time. Food was good, employees were very friendly and, again, the food was great. Nice place to have in the neighborhood.

There is such a poor choice of food delivery options in downtown Minneapolis so I ordered from Trocaderos. I've previously been there and hated the atmosphere, the clientele and the staff. Yes, it's a nice location and building but it really is a worthless establishment!! Anyway, I did like the wings in the past so I ordered wings and then a large pizza. I can honestly write that while it was quick, the pizza was truly one of the worst I have ever, EVER tasted. It was absolutely disgusting!! To top the experience off, the wings have changed to the cheap breaded wings that a person would've ordered back in the day at a cheap steakhouse. Honestly, I wish this place would close and then reopen under someone new. It is top 5 for worst Twin Cities establishments! JUST SAY NO!

I had a great time Wednesday night. Thx guys it was a lot of fun. I was not there for the show I went to see the Cuervo girls. But the show was not bad and I am glad I went...... I will come again. One suggestion you might want to advertise a little more. Free shots of Cuervo to support a breast cancer charity is genius....

Pros: Free Shots of Cuervo the Cuervo Girls

Cons: Its only on Wednesday nights....

I went to the Spotlight Competition, In support of my friend Joel kachel.
I did not know what to expect except the typical battle of the bands type of deal.
I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that they were donating money to a breast cancer charity and the show was set up like American Idol. I was in Aw because all of the talent was exceptional and the atmosphere was supportive and happy. It was one of the best shows I have been to in a long time. The artists are truly supported there. They had TV cameras and judges and the emcee was funny.
Later I learned why this was happening. It was because the sponsors and all the people involved wanted it to be a true showcase of original material for the singer songwriter.
I was called on stage and i had a choice between t shirt or shot of Cuervo. I can?t wait till the next show I would have signed up for the competition myself but they have A&R reps that hand pick the talent.
Wow!!

My boyfriend made dinner reservations for us on Valentine's day. I was reluctant to have dinner at a nightclub in the first place and my instincts were correct. He was interested in seeing the band that played that night so I complied. When were seated I noticed right away that the temp of the room was uncomfortably cold, I had to put my winter coat back on. After reviewing the menu (which is strange and disconnected - crab cakes AND pizza and cold sandwiches? we sat for 15 minutes before we were greeted - mind you, there were maybe 8 tables in the room and many staff milling around the room. The server apologized and offered to buy our first drink which appeased us. After 15 minutes, we still hadn't received our cocktails or even a glass of water. At 8:30 we decided we'd had enough and made our exit. Upon speaking to the manager, we learned that our food 'was on the way'. In my estimation, the order of things should include greeting, drink, salad, entree, etc. Not a consolation of your food is on the way before we'd even received a glass of water. I will never entertain the thought of going back here. I'm sure the club is great for the purpose it serves but don't attempt a meal here.

I went to Trocadero's two times in the same week and I really couldn't believe how great it was. The first time I went on a Friday after work for happy hour everyone there was so nice and they had 2 for 1 drinks and free buffet. The other time I went in was Wednesday for Latin Night they had great music and AWESOME sound and light system. It's great to see a classy place with an international feel. The best part was the staff I was welcomed and found my self chatting with my server who told me it's all new management and mostly new staff. The manager asked me how my food was, they really seem to care and that was a great change from a lot of bars and restaurants who just don't seem to care.

I went there hesitant from a bad experience with a previous manager. Boy have they changed. I found out they have all new managers and most of the employees are new too. Food was great and the show was awesome. I loved watching the show in the nightclub. I will definitely go back.

I have been going to Trocaderos for several months and really enjoy their food and the atmosphere. I am a weekly customer. The new managers are friendly and seem to always be smiling. My coworkers and I have been to their new Happy Hour and plan to go back. Our company had a holiday gathering at Trocaderos and everyone I talked to had a good time - we still talk about it.
I read some of the previous reviews and have never experienced these comments made by others. My coworkers that have been there several times really enjoy the place and have nothing bad to say. Looking forward to another visit.

We went to Trocs for their New Years Eve party. We made reservations and had dinner prior to their New Years Eve party. We all liked our food and would eat there again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The show was great, we stayed late, watched the bands and all had a very fun time. Trocs had great food and was a lot of fun. We will be back again.

Went to the Acoustic Duo tour with Matt Scannell and Richard Marx. I had placed an order over the phone with the "wonderful" Scott Cronin. A week before the show, I decided to get an extra ticket via the website. Given all the other reviews, I just got this nervous feeling on the day of the show, and decided to call and verify my tickets were at will call. Outside of management, NO ONE who works there appears to speak English. That's fine with me, but don't let them answer the phones then! After a frustrated 15 mins of asking questions, the woman on the end finally promised me she would look into it and call me back shortly. 2 hours later, no one has called. Big surprise. I call again, get ANOTHER garbled English speaker who finally transfers me to their manager Beth. Beth informs me that there is NO RECORD of my tickets being purchased (even though I have confirmation codes for both) and that Scott has not been with the company for 3 weeks. She promises to sort it out.Once inside, the mess STILL hasn't been sorted out, and I'm left waiting for yet more time while they get confirmation that everything is good. Once they do, I go to will call, and they ask for the id's of me and my girlfriend. My girlfriend is 19. NOWHERE on the website, the order page, or even on the phone with Scott himself did it ever say this was a 21+ show. The fine line, for example, is explicit about it. They tell me she can't come in, I tell them that is ridiculous. After some careful negotiating, they let her in, like it's some sort of "convenience" to me, after I've already paid for two tickets. Once inside, I figure all the bad stuff is behind me. I'm wrong. This is an acoustic show, but for some reason, these idiots have decided to double book their venue with a Christmas Party. I can't believe this many things could go wrong in just one night! Clearly the management change has not been enough to help this club. I hope they gut this place and replace it with staff who give a damn.

My colleagues and I recently attended a holiday party at Trocaderos. This was our first time there and needless to say our last. We had a considerable wait for valet and coat check which can be expected in the winter, however after getting settled in eating, drinking and socializing we were suddenly given our tabs.(Over priced drinks ) Management was walking around looking as if someone had pulled a fire alarm and then the lights came on. Concerned for my safety I asked if something was wrong. My bartender politely said no sir however we have a concert starting and I believe if you would like to stay you will need to pay a cover. I made my way through and incredibly angry group of attorneys to the front to pay cover only to be told I had to go outside and wait in the cold. I felt this request was unwarranted so I asked to speak to a manager. After waiting 20-30 minutes I realized I was fooling myself to think someone there was going to address me. So I waited in line once again to get my coat and I headed to the Monte Carlo where everyone is treated with class and dignity. Not only is Trocaderos located off the beaten path, so is its level of service. It is not my style to waste time complaining, but this place really is as ridiculous as it sounds! Incredibly disappointing!

This is the worst venue in the City, I would not promote anybody to patronize this venue. They have no love or respect for customers, specially people of color . I'm a highly respected woman in this City and I've gone to shows there and have been very disrespected by management and staff. I've also experience the difference in pricing. This club does not even deserve 1 Star..............

MY VOTE GOES TO "NOT TO TROC"!!!!!!!!

Over the summer (2008) I have attended a handful of events at Trocs, all with enough space between one until the next to excuse the bad service and ample time for management to make changes. But the outcome has always been the same. Even for me, and I happen to be apart of a team that owns a local store that not only has sponsored some of the events Trocaderos has hosted. We've even sold tickets to concerts patrons attend. Just to end up standing at the door with all the other hundreds of folks waiting to get in. Security being oh so ever rude. Drinks purchased for one price at the bar and that same drink more expensive upstairs. Food orders taken to only have to ask the wait staff 3 and 4 times was the order even put in. Then receive the food cold or even undercooked. And once it's all done and the party's over. Valet has no problem sending me and everyone else off to retrieve our own previously valeted vehicles because they have things so strewed up and don't even think about asking for half your money back for that serivce, unfufilled.

They rent out their facility to promoters who treat people like dirt! The bouncers are rude, too many 18+ events & expensive drinks. Even when you have a prepaid ticket you still have to wait lines for over 2 hours just to get in the door! If you must go, do NOT puchase VIP tickets. The VIP area is horrible and you can't see anything if you get a table. The bar upstairs closes early, so you'll have to go downstairs anyway. Also watch out for pepper spray as the concert is sure to get out of hand and this is the only way the promoters can control everyone!

Was there a year ago in July. Great atmosphere but horrible service and management. I left thinking how I should have a job there so I can be better than everyone else. I will be going back this weekend for the Village People and RuPaul. It will be interesting to see what happens with the large crowd. We have tickets ahead of time so I am curious as to how many they sell and if they oversell! Keep looking here people. I plan on posting my findings after this weekend. Here's hoping they went through a complete management and training overhaul!

Attending the Howard Hewitt/Alexander Oneal concert on 5/24/08 was a truly horrible experience. The fliers advertised doors open at 7pm, but in fact they made a long line of customers stand outside till around 74opm. When we finally did make it inside, there was absolutely not enough seats to accommodate and just think, we were early. They pull out the tables they normally have so that you will pay for VIP (which includes only a seat) no exclusive wait staff, backstage pass, NOTHING! There is more, everyone on my floor (we were escorted to the "dining" level) were served COLD food and wine in small plastic cups, xxx rude and inattentive wait staff. ( our order was taken after a 45 minute wait). Heck, valet guys were actually bringing food up to people. Show was supposed to start at 9pm, they didn't come on till 1130 (no exaggeration). Oh yeah, Valet leaves the key "cupboard" open(its the blue cabinet right next to the door opening) so anyone standing by can steal your car keys!! Please BELIEVE my post and everyone else's too! This is no lie.

Wow! I can't believe the Happy Hour-- on Mondays they provide comp apps, but other then that is 1/2 prize apps & 2 for 1 drinks. A few of my friends decided to check this place out & we really like it! I would highly recommend it.

By far the WORST experience I've EVER had working a show. I work for a music magazine based in L.A. / Las Vegas and I was there over the weekend to shoot the Vince Neil show, I was on the list as their personal Photographer. The GM and security were by far the RUDEST and most pompous people I've EVER encountered in my 5 years of professional concert shooting. They really need to learn how to treat the bands guests with a little more dignity and respect. I was downstairs backstage and I was literally pushed aside by a HUGE security guard into one of the other bands dressing rooms and a door slammed in my face so that the band could walk by. TOTALLY UNCALLED for behavior. The food was horrible too by the way. They need to do something about this or my guess is that they won't be in business very long. I could go on, but, I believe my point was made.

If I could give them a negative star, I would.

Pros: Good lighting system for taking photos

Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE, POOR MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!!!!

I happen to know that this restaurant is getting sued for sexual harassment by some of the former female staff. The management here is out of control and what could have been a great club has been out of control since day one. Someone needs to step in and revamp this place.

We had a great time. Dinner was great, employees were friendly and valet was convenient. After dinner, the show was a lot of fun. The band sounded great. Fun place and would suggest it for dinner and live music. Will return again.

I just want to say that this was the worst club. I went there to see Jagged Edge and the sercurity is weak, they could not even handle the women. Big bitches pushing, muthaf******s fighting, they make you check your coat and then you can even get until an hour after the club let out. Jagged Edge was even mad, their mics didn't even work. That was my first and last time going there.

Owned by Ted and Jack Saxxon. Trocaderos is by far the worst club/restaurant that I have ever seen in my years of dining and going to the clubs. Every single employee including management, was the most unprofessionall I have ever witnessed. The only employees That I noticed truly working hard and putting all their energy were the barbacks. I was dining at trocs one evening before a show, I noticed the only barback on the clock was running up and down stairs moving chairs and tables. Anyone can see the exhausted look on his face from working so hard. Next minute I heard a sound like someone being pushed or thrown down to the ground, I looked over by the main bar and saw the bar back on the ground being screamed at for no reason. I find it amazingly unprofessional for the manager Scott Cronin to yell and swear at this poor barback in front of a full house of customers. All my friends and I were talking about it and thought how unprofessional it was. We didn't say anything to Scott because we were all so DISGUSTED by the way this man was treating his own employee. Amazingly, after being physically assaulted and screamed at, the bar back just stood up and continued working. My party and I had completely lost our appetite, we were fed up with what we saw. We all got up and left immediately with out paying our bill. I haven't not been to Trocaderos in a year since this incident occured and I do not plan on it, I know that my friends would never support a business that treats their employees with such low respect. I am very suripsed that two very respected indviduals, Ted and Jack Saxxon would allow such horrible things to happen in a public environment. What amazes me is that how could these two respected men could allow an animal to run their esatablishment? Look at the reviews! Trocaderos is the worst club in town! Nothing positive has been mentioned. Scott Cronin is nothing but a rude, unprofessional COWARD! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

Cons: Food is bad. Manager is unprofessional and lazy. Trocaderos is a con itself.

Very poor customer service, we made a reservation on opentable (we have a gift certificate for them), leaving a cell phone number should there be any issues. We showed up slightly early for our reservation, only to be told that if we wanted to eat, we had to pay a $30 pp cover charge. No exceptions, no phone call. We normally buy a nice bottle of wine, etc when we go out. We were totally unwilling to pay $60 for the privilege of eating at their establishment. I emailed the restaurant the next day with ABSOLUTELY no response, no apology, no reaction, no acknowledgment of the email what so ever. DON'T bother going there and giving them any of your hard earned cash.

First let me say that I will never, ever come here again. I live in Waterloo Ia, and I came up for the T-Pain concert on 10/13/2007. The tickets were $30.00 dollars a piece. I have a friend that lives in the area so I had her purchase our tickets in advance. We arrived at about 9:45. The line went all the way down the block and around the corner. I was under the impression that you were not able to buy tickets at the door so why the long line. Come to find out they did sale tickets at the door. My husband and I stood outside for 2 hours waiting to get into the club, with a ticket mind you. We were told that people were rushing the door and that is what the holdup was about. We moved forward in line and ended up maybe 10 feet from the door when they decided they were not letting anyone else in. This is ridiculous. I spent a total of $90.00 on tickets (my husband, my friend, and myself) for the concert. Not to mention the hotel, and gas that it took to get me from Waterloo to Minneapolis. I will never under any circumstances go to this club again. We finally left at about midnight to go to another club. I still have my tickets!!! No refunds!

I went there for a concert for Halloween in 2006. It was super expensive and service was horrible. We were rudely kicked out and treated like garbage. I went to school with the manager Scott. He was his usually cocky self. I am planning a return trip this Halloween and I am not looking forward to it. I am planning on going to the concert and leaving right away!

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Over-priced, the manager Scott Cronin is rude and unprofessional. They serve overpriced watered down drinks and their waiters are rude. I would never step foot in this place again if I were paid! STAY AWAY!!!

We went to Trocaderos for a 7:00pm show on a Thursday night, 8/30/07. It was not busy at all, even though this was for a show that had packed the house at a different venue. We went through the evening enoying the excellent show, but only a very mediocre dinner at best. Then the show ended and I did not even have time to use the restroom before they were over at our table telling us we that "You people need to get going. We have another show coming on", and walked away. When the weightress brought us our bill, she stated they added a 20% fee on to our bill for the show, even though we had already paid the price of the show ticket at the door. Someone we were dining with needed to use the restroom before leaving, so we waited literally not even 3 minutes, and there was another member of the staff asking us if we needed change or what it was we were waiting for. Not even a full 7 minutes after the show ended! They were so RUDE about it! And it's not like we didn't spend money there; we had a bill well over $100. They also had the second show setting up and being very loud and disruptive while the first production was still on! I have never felt so ripped off in my life! There is nothing that will get me to go back there ever again, and I will do my best to prevent others from going. I feel like I was scammed.

This is my first review on Citysearch, which I have been using as a reliable local reference for years now. A few weeks ago I went to Trocadero's with my girlfriend to see a burlesque show. When we first walked in, it wasn't clear whether or not we should seat ourselves or wait for a hostess. We seated ourselves, and then sat in the booth for 20 minutes without being served. Two waitresses nearby pointed at us and whispered to each other, so it's clear that we were noticed. This was right after my girlfriend and I kissed. I got up and walked to the bar to get our drinks, where the bartender proceeded to make me the worst mojito I have ever had- and I've had mojito's all over the city (the best at Jetset). This one had far too much soda water & simple syrup in it, not enough rum, too much ice, and not enough lime. Meanwhile, the show we'd come for was running 45 minutes late. I will say that the only satisfying part of our experience was getting our money back from the bar and the door when we decided to leave.

I was very displeased at almost every aspect of this restaurant that calls itself one of the "Best" in the Twin Cities. We should have taken note when we arrived with not one full table at 6:30pm on a Friday night. Our waiter asked us where we wanted to sit; even offering up the dance floor as an option...very strange. When asking about the highly marketed Mpls.St.Paul Magazine Restaurant Week, the manager was confused and inquired with the Night Manager. The night manager approached our table with a confused look, "I'm not sure what you folks are talking about?" Interesting to note that they were unaware of their very own specials as they were a participating restaurant. Since it is the season of lent, each of us ordered a seafood dish: the walleye - served over a bed of mashed sweet potatoes resembling and tasting like Gerber Baby Food, the cajun shrimp pasta, which I specifically asked for without green onions and arrived with a large amount atop my pasta, and the salmon "special", which was undercooked. Had we wanted seafood, Nami was just around the corner - we should have gone there.

When the bill arrived for the four of us - a 20% gratuity had been added. What restaurant adds gratuity to a party of 4?!?!?? Upon questioning the waiter, after several attempts of flagging him down, explained that this was added to bills of $100 or more. What?!?!?!? I have never heard of such a rule. I proceeded to ask for the Night Manager, who said it was because of the "nightclub". (Keep in mind that no music was being played while we were at the restaurant, only the tv at the bar which played Hollywood Squares.) The Night Manager took off the 20% and we added our own tip that reflected our dining experience.

My recommendation is for Trocaderos to continue their trendy nightclub and forgo their desire to pursue fine dining.

Awful serviceand and all around bad experience! The service was confrontational and not helpful. Upon questioning $3 coat check and $3 water with a $20 cover, manager got in my face. I felt like they were desperate to take all the money they could. Overall, the disgruntled service tainted what should have been a good time.

This restaurant does not know what kind of crowd it wants, and is a gamble everytime you go there. One night could feature a crappy cover band while the next could have a 16+ white rapper crowd. The servers are rude and the bartenders are often too drunk to help customers. The atmosphere is boring and confusing, because while it looks sophisticated, the horrible service and bad music are too much to bear.

My friendsand I were excited to go see ?Lili?s Burlesque? on 12/15/06. We arrived 1 1/2 hours before the show (as recommended) so we could enjoy a nice dinner. Unfortunately, that didn?t happen. In fact, from the moment we walked in the door, service was nearly non-existent.

Nearly TWO HOURS passed from the time we ordered our food to the time it arrived before us. When it did finally arrive, all three of our orders where cold, rubbery, missing items, and all around wrong. However, by that time we pointed out the errors we were so hungry we didn?t dare send it back. Many other people were walking straight up to the bar and ordering directly just to get drinks, others were just leaving outright. With entrees priced between $14 and $30, this was highly unexpected and an incredible waste.

Such a shame. The show was fantastic but the rest of the venue was beyond bad. There was no explanation of the poor service other than the frazzled waitress mentioning they were busy (however, we arrived well before the restaurant filled ) nor were there any attempts to make amends for the embarrassingly bad dining experience.

I wrote an email to the management detailing to horrible dining experience my party experienced that night, cc-ing my boyfriend and friend for further confirmation. The manager emailed back his regret, explaining it was busier than expected, and offered us two free entrees if we would return. There were three people in my party that went through the dreadful dining, making that offer seem cheap and insulting?.much like the entire dining experience.

I just can?t see this as being a one-off event, either. I know ?Lili?s? has performed there multiple times before, so for them not to be prepared for such an event is just incredibly poor planning and worse management. I, personally, will not dine there again. Maybe it?s fine as a nightclub and a place to get drinks, but I would never recommend throwing one dime toward dining there.

Pros: Big cushy booths

Cons: Pretty much everything else: food, service, quality, etc.

We go to Trocadero's for the dancing to bands such as R-Factor, Boogie Wonderland, High & Mighty. Another band fantastic band is Belladiva!! With Belladiva you're entertained with great music, but the girls give you an awesome show with their dancing. What is lacking, however in the music scene at Troc's is SOUL TIGHT COMMITTEE AND CBO!!!! Another plus at Troc's is that they encourage no drinking on the dance floor which to many of us is one of the best policies ever. Yes, on some nights the crowds are a little older, but by no means old. Some of us have more stamina on the dance floor than the younger crowd. We are hoping that Troc's will be around for a long time. If they keep the good bands (listed above) booked we'll all be there!! These bands all pull in standing room crowds at other venues because people have been coming to see them at these places for years. Troc's need to do the same. Hire the bands on a more regular basis and the people will soon follow if given the chance.
TROC'S ALSO NEED A BETTER SIGN OUT FRONT. Unless you know the place, you can easily drive by and not have a clue what the place is or that you passed it. Parking is limited, but valet parking is a nice touch for a night out. They need to have a better selection of appetizers. For the most part what they have is high priced & small. Many people like to share. This is an area where going a little more traditional with some of their appetizers may work better. However, their walleye appertizer is wonderful! Trocadero's, is still considered pretty new and they are still in the testing stages of what works and what doesnt. We hope they hang in there for us, a little bit older loyal group. Thanks Troc's for the larger dance floor, R-Factor, Belladiva, High & Mighty! Hopefully CBO & Soul T too!

Pros: Larger Dance Floor, Some Great Bands, No Drinks on the dance floor

Cons: Food a little pricey

I love the owner Shane Siegel. I think his is a great guy. I wish him nothing but more success. However his food is just okay in my option. The servers are scared of the chef. For example I had a problem with my steak. I asked the server to return my food and make it right. She told me that the chef said if one more server comes back to me with a problem they would be fired. I think the problem with the place is the chef. As for the acts go, I would rate them top notch. I know Shane works hard at bring in the best. He does a great job at it. The drinks are a little spendy for the twin cities!!! And the food is way over priced for the quality. I write this with the best regards for the owner Shane.
