I HAD A PRETTY BIG MOVE LAST MOVE OF MY 3 BEDROOM APT AND I HAPPEN TO SEE TLC ON GOOGLE AND CALLED THEM UP. THE PERSON THAT PICKED UP THE PHONE WAS VERY HELPFUL IN GIVING ME INFO & EVEN SENT SOMEONE OVER TO ACCURATELY TELL ME HOW MUCH IT WAS GOING TO BE.THE PRICES WERE NOT OUT THE ROOF LIKE THE OTHER COMPANIES I CALLED. THANKFULLY THE MOVERS GOT TO MY PLACE ON TIME AND MOVED ALL MY THINGS SAFELY & WITH CARE. WHICH IS WHY I AM TAKING TIME OUT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEM.

I used TLC movers on the 29th of April, my move was from the upper East side to Long Island City.

I had a few very expensive and fragile items for which i was very nervous and worried about , the crew handled my belongings very carefully and with extra caution, i thank the foreman Yoram for that.

Apart from being careful Yoram and his crew were very courteous and helpful.

I had to move on the 1st I pick TLC Moving last mintue because my regular moving company was unable to do the move for me. The only thing I can say bad about them was that they were a hour late. What can I really say its the 1st of the month. once they got here they worked really fast and good they had me out of my old apt in to my new one in few hours So thanks guys you are the best the crew was help and fun to work with also the foreman Polo was great with helping us get back on track. I will so tell all myfriends and family to use you guys on any moves.

My wife and I moved last week in the Tribeca Area. Initially, we were reluctant to hire TLC Moving. But we saw great reviews on them everywhere, so we decided to give it a try. We were EXTREMELY happy with our moving experience. They came one day to complete the packing, and then came the following day to complete the move. It was undoubtedly our most pleasant moving experience ever. They did not damage a single thing (including crystal glasses, heavy furniture, etc.). And they didn't ding a single wall or door. Every member of their team was friendly and polite. And they work super hard! When they were unloading our furniture, they would literally run back to pick up the next item. I have no idea where they find all the energy. Not only do they provide a great moving service, but in hiring them one also supports a great cause, namely the TLC Foundation

I wanted to write and thank you, Asaf, Kathy, and everyone at TLC moving for being so helpful with our move to 304 Hudson. On the night of the move the crew worked tirelessly late into the night with fine and friendly attitudes the whole way through. The tagging stickers they offered were helpful in organizing the transportation of our office furnishings. The price quoted to us was very inexpensive, and they never tried to increase it. Even when there were problems, and they had to come back to the new space, the price never increased. When our carpet was installed a few weeks after our move, the TLC moving crew came back to help us move furniture around the office for the installation. This was done at no extra cost to the original quote of the move! Thank you so much,

I just want to express what a pleasure it has been to work with TLC.
Every person, starting with yourself, is so professional, capable and gracious. Starting from the first call I made to ask about the services, everyone has been so knowledgeable and patient and followed through. The day of moving, every single one of the men on the crew were polite, worked hard and took great care of my belongings. I have felt 100% secure every step of the way.

I will recommend you to any and all of my friends who have moving or storage needs. Thanks again for a great experience, as you know moving can be stressful, TLC has made the physical moving part very easy.

We have moved 7 times in 35 years and this was by far the best experience we ver had. When Jeff came to our condo to look over what we had and what had to be packed, crated, etc. I knew we were in good hands. He was professional and did a great job in identifying items that needed special attention,
The estimate was fair and we chose TLC from a pool of three other companies. The crew arrived on time and the head man, Alon, was outstanding. We had two shipments -- one going to Boston shortly and the other going into storage for several weeks. The crew first tagged and packed what was going to Boston and removed those items first. Then then started on what had to go into storage and did a wonderful job organizing everything. Alon was the crew chief and he is the best I ever encountered. Nothing was too much for him or his crew and the two days of packing and moving came and went with no glitches.
Thank you for a great experience. Moving can be so horrid and TLC made our move as pleasant as it could be. TLC is the best!!

After doing my homework and checking out at least 13 different movers and quotes. i called TLC. i was not an easy customer! this was a cross country move for my brother in law who is elderly and just lost his wife.
i wanted to make sure we made the right choice! Not only did TLC save us thousands of dollars. They were kind and sympathetic to our needs. I did not pay one penny over the quote! except to tip the movers who were fantastic, careful and efficient! We are very happy! cannot reccomend them enough! i will use them again for sure.

I live in a studio with a couch, a bed and few other items - not a large move. After paying over one thousand dollars more than the cost of my estimate, this company LOST 2 boxes in the local move. No one will return my phone calls and the service is the absolute wost I have ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this company ever. A total disgrace, they should be sued.

I usually do not look forward to moving. The stress for purging, packing, moving and then unpacking is a typical NY nightmare. I have to say that TLC was the absolutely best moving experience I've ever had. I moved last year, and used OZ Moving. They were very good, but very, very, very expensive (for example, they charged a LOT for the extra boxes and tape they had to use). I had to move again this year (newborn due in the fall, needed more room), so naturally I wanted someone as good as OZ but cheaper. As I did my research on CitySearch and other sources, I read that TLC had great reviews, so I decided to give them a shot. I spoke to Sam Sharma on the phone who answered all my questions thoroughly, including sending me an email with an agreed upon quote. Day of the move: they actually arrived an hour early -- from start to finish (including 1/2 hour travel time) it took them 4.5 hours, including a 3-flight walk-up from the old apartment. My foreman was "Pop" and he and his 3-man crew were fast, thorough, competent, organized, professional. These guys just worked HARD. I mean they did not take a break for anything. The least I could do was to buy them all ice-cold bottles of water. I had absolutely no worries, nothing was broken, everything was moved out and in very smoothly (granted the new apartment building had a large elevator and a concierge). To sum it up, I would definitely use them again. Hopefully, I would get Pop because then I would know I'm in good hands.

I felt compelled to post a review here at CitySearch, since it was the site where I went to do some homework on potential moving companies. Having just completed our move this week, I wanted to share the great experience I had with TLC.

We spoke to several firms, and asked for binding quotes from each. TLC sent a representative who arrived at our apartment when scheduled, and quickly and respectfully surveyed our apartment and produced a quote for our move. Their quote was very competitive, and their follow-up was very courteous and polite.

Fundamentally, I feel that TLC conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism. They handled all of the insurance requirments with my building, they called to re-confirm the move date and time, and on the day of the move, the foreman and crew showed up on time. As for the quality of the movers, they were outstanding. Our foreman was Naseem, who was courteous, organized and incredibly competent. He had clearly managed many moves before, and knew exactly what he was doing. The guys worked efficiently and capably, and even helped us in wrapping most of our breakable items. They were also delightful with our two young children, who were curious at all of the activity taking place around them. The GPS system in their truck brought them directly to our new home in CT, and all of our items arrived safely. Lastly, there were no "hidden charges" with the final bill, and no overt pressure to tip the crew (which we were overly happy to do anyway).

Having moved two other times (both within NYC), I would say that my TLC experience was the best of all. Thanks again, TLC!

We just moved from NYC to eastern CT and met with 2 moving companies. I met Assaf and he was a delight. "we can do everything" attitude and stress free. Their estimate was 1/3 of the second company who insisted i specify all that was staying vs. all that was leaving. Aggghh.
One sofa was too big for our elevator and Ruth sent in a Sofa Doctor who removed the arms, got it out of our apartment and sewed it right back! All the day of the move.
The guys who drove the 2.5 hours to our new home were as nice as could be. All was done with a smile. No request was too big. Boxes to the attic, boxes to the house, boxes to the barn and they still had a smile.
TLC was a pleasure to work with. they did take the stress out of moving (if that is possible).

I used TLC for my move from Manhattan to Hoboken, and I recommend them highly. The receptionists were very professional, and the movers were fantastic. They arrived early (I booked them for 9 AM and they arrived at 8:45 but didn't start billing until 9), worked very fast, delivered everything in perfect condition, and assembled all pieces of furniture as quickly as they packed them up. Moving is always stressful, but TLC made my move as smooth as possible. At the beginning and end of the move, the movers reviewed the cost with me, so there were no surprises.

TLC Moving and Storage helped my family with out fourth move in the City. The entire experience was extremely smooth and stress free, as far as moving goes - from the first call to TLC to the moment when a highly courteous and professional team lead by Nasseem showed up at our door and handled the entire process in a swift and effective manner. No surprises along the way, a mid-move update and review to set the expectation for the final bill, careful, damage-free transfer of all our furniture and boxes and even friendly advice at our new place as to how to arrange furniture. I tried to cancel the scheduled move literally minutes after hiring them as I realized my circumstances did not fit the service, and they refused to refund my deposit ($100), falsely claiming that they "had to turn away another customer who wanted your time slot" even though I hired them literally 2 minutes before and . That, to me, already screams unprofessionalism and plain lack of consideration for the customers. F-

Sam handled the pre-move coordination and Sherpa was the crew chief on the move. Ruth was involved enough to make sure that the customer (me) was delighted. It all went very well, on time, on budget and all my goods cared for the 'white glove' treatment. I have moved maybe a six times, always with nationally known movers, and TLC is right up there with the best in terms of completeness of service and professionalism. Since moving is incredibly stressful it is nice to know that TLC actually is very professional, friendly, and quick. Most moving companies charge by the hour you would think that they would take their time.. However, they are very quick making your time valuable. The foreman was very accomodating to our needs. I highly recommend these company for moving and storage. Also, we changed our move-in at the last minute and they had no problem with it... thanks TLC.

I recently moved from murray hill to soho. I have to say this move went smooth from the beginning. The outstanding rates i was quoted just blew my mind away. The prices were amazing. The movers came early to make sure everything would be taken care of in a timely fashion. Then when everything arrived at the new apartment I was shocked to see how quick they unloaded my belongings. We have used TLC twice and were provided good service each time. There was a little mishap the second time with regards to the estimation and actual amount that we were charged. But, the owner himself was kind enough to call us and resolve the issue. With that said, we would use them again and would recommend to others.

In fact... It's the only acceptable one I've had.

The quote was right about the same as others that had lesser ratings and they stuck to the quote.

I hired them to move my elderly mother's home goods into her new place at a retirment residence. Needless to say, we anticipated a very stressful move. Ruth's crew showed up on time, was very attentive to mom's needs, packed everything and moved her in such an expedient manner that we were blown away.

My husband and I have moved a number of times over the years. Our experiences have ranged from mediocre to horrific. TLC was far superior to any company we?ve dealt with. Everyone was professional, courteous, efficient, and careful from the first contact until the final box was moved. Our move took two days and two trucks, yet the staff remained upbeat and considerate throughout. They arrived on time both days and honored their quote (both problems with other movers) and they were very mindful of our buildings? restrictions. I would highly recommend this trustworthy company for a stress free move.

My husband and I have moved 5 times in five years. Our family (B'H) has grown with each move, which means so has our stuff. Each move was getting to be more and more stressful and more and more money. And past movers were clumsy, careless and rude. Our last 2 moves should have been the worst - 2 major moves in 2 months...but we discovered TLC Moving and they were the smoothest, least problematic, and quickest moves we have ever had!!! I cannot begin to tell you the difference an excellent moving company makes. To begin TLC had impecable communication with us. They confirmed the moving times and dates, the moving crew, and the location of the moving crew on the date of the move...even though they were right on time. TLC never allowed me the opportunity to get stressed. The moving crew was kind, courteous and professional. They even took the time and care to repack a box of breakables that I myself did not pack well. They were quick but careful with our things and never made us feel like they were in a real hurry, taking the time to help move things around once we got to our new location. The price we were quoted was the price we paid not a penny more.
TLC has completely changed my impression of moving companies and my personal moving experiences. They are reinventing the moving industry. There is no dilemma the answer to me is very clear...TLC is the ONLY way to go.

Dear Ruth,

This is just a note to thank you so very much for reassuring me that everything would be ok and that I was in good hands.

I must let you know that I was very nervous the day of the move. Even though the men arrived a little late that day (due to traffic), they called to let me know that they would be arriving very soon.

When the four men arrived they were very deligent and professional at all times. They worked very well together and were very organized and had all my things out of the apartment in 3 hours. They were very caring throughout the entire move. They, also, reassured me that my possessions to be put into storage were in good hands and that I should not worry about a thing.

Considering that I had a bad start that day, upon finding out that my son's grandmother had passed away in the early hours, I found my experience with TLC to be rewarding. It helped tremondously that the move was done so quickly and I was able to go spend the rest of the day with my son and his father.

Please thank the guys for me once again and tell them it was a pleasure working with them. It would be a pleasure if you would assign the same men when I get my things out of storage.

So as for my experience with moving companies, I thought I gonna end up with 3 times the estimate I originally got over the phone I booked my move from Brooklyn to NY with this company and supriseingly, the estimate was accurate, I paid what I budget for this move, and the job was done perfectly, nothing broke, the movers were very nice.
This company is highly recomanded.

We had always vowed the next time we moved; we would hire professionals rather than move ourselves. Little did we know what we were missing all these years! Earlier this week, TLC Moving moved us to our new house and it was a terrific experience.
The crew was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and fun to be around. (Not to mention strong!) They made our moving day stress-free and went the extra mile, from patiently rearranging furniture and boxes, to making a run to the dump for us.

I was satisfied with the service, but beware of the hidden fees!! If you use their storage service, there is a minimum charge of $125.00 per month plus tax no matter how much you have, and there is a $75 charge EVERY TIME you want to get anything out.

I found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful, but it ended up costing a lot more than I thought it would.

These guys are good. Their quotes aren't cellar cheap but you get what you pay for. If anything they overestimate the quote (they charge by the hr) so there're no surprises.

Our move from NYC to Edgewater took 2.5 hrs less than originally planned (might even have taken 1/2 - 3/4 hr less if they didn't have to wait for elevator escort at the place I moved out from).

The team of four work hard, efficient and are professional at all times. They made sure everything was packed correctly. Shrink wrapped sofa, bed frame, mattress -- I've had some movers who didn't unless you specifically ask them to do so.

They arrived on time (actually earlier) and did everything right until the very end.

Ruth - the account manager was fantastic, took care of everything and explained everything upfront -- and everything was as per what she said.
I've moved a number of times over the past 5 years but by far this was the best moving experience.

As a veteran of moving services I have been through almost every imaginable situation. I would like to comment TLC movers for their great handling of a move. I was referred to them, They were on time, charged only for services due to them, like packing supplies which I accepted gladly because their prices were more then fair by all means. I also gladly tipped the crew 20% from the total price of the move because they were so great I could hardly explain how happy I was to have them handle my life's possession. When the splendid movers finished and left (not without my blessings) I had discovered that one of my items was left underneath the drivers seat--(just because they wanted to accommodate me and keep a bag with important document in the front seat), I had called their office and they responded immediately and dispatched the driver with my bag with in several hours the next day. I have also heard from people who moved with them that they will do almost anything to make your (the client's) life pleasant and easy. I recommend this company with all my heart.

I used TLC when moving things from storage. First, the movers showed up late. They also made a mark on my new mattress and then tried to claim it was already there. The price was more than what was originally quoted, and they charged me for additional packing supplies without asking me if I wanted them first. Additionally, they made me feel like I had no choice but to tip them 20% for service I was not happy with.

This one of the best movers I have ever had in the last 12 years. I had used their services on a local move into storage, as well as referred them to close friends and relatives. The service started thanks to their professional sales team who was knowledgably and polite as well as very confident. It continued with a very polite and extremely efficient team of movers who did everything possible to make me feel at home and at ease. The operation department showed efficiency by following the crew through the move making sure they ware on time to the pick up and destination. The estimate was as close is it could be to the original fees--no additional hidden fee, on time to all locations, clean job with no damages to my belongings and above all great customer service with polite, considered and accommodating sales and service personal. Overall, use TLC as your mover of choice; it seems as if they did not just win the Mover of the Year award for 2005 for nothing, their name just SAYS IT ALL.

I want to thank everyone at TLC moving for all of their time and patience and also for thier dedication to me and my belongings. I've never felt this way when having to move . I'm always nerve wrecking, stressed and anxious to see the outcome. This was an extraordinary move! I loved the crew that I had and have no complaints. All I have are praises towards this company. They were so professional, courteous, and very hard working. On the day of my move I was a wreck. The movers arrived on time and was assuring that everything will go great. As time went by they made me feel comfortable and at ease and worry free. I had a wonderful experience with them. They treated my belongings with great care and made sure everything went as planned and as discussed. They did not overcharge me and there were no extra fees or hidden fees. Everything I was promised I received, and at the end of my move I was happy with the movers and how my move went. The move was a success, and the 4 young men you had working that day were professional, efficient, extremely hard working, pleasant and really took the stress out of the day. They didn't stop for breaks (although we offered refreshments), were up and down stairs for hours, and at one point where we didn't think ome of the beds could not fit upstairs, they found a solution to the problem and soldiered on. We were delighted to have had such fantastic people to work with that day. Please again pass on our thanks to each of them.

The Morning of the move the movers called me to update me on exactly when they'd be at my place. I love the fact that they were so communicative. They were fast and efficient. The prices were competitive with other movers but the service and care were far much better than any other movers. This is a company that understands tho stressful moving can be & they're there to make it as stress free & pain free as possible. Since the moment I first spoke with them they were great. Their name says it all. TLC gave my husband and I a great price, they were extrememly careful with my belongings, punctual, professional and did our move in a timely fashion. I was promised a pirce and payed that price. I felt no pressure in anything that was done, they left all the decisions to me. I know I made a great decision when deciding to have TLC moving do my move. Simple as they said it would be ..
No hidden fees .. Strange .. I have moved before .. and I didn't believe in the begining.
but they did not charged me anything but the cost that was agreed in the begining.
They did give me 50$ of free boxes ..

The move was smooth and simple.. I wish I had known about them along time ago.

Y? because my building super was sooo mean to them .. and yet they kept going kindly and proffesionly, no matter what he did to make the move hard, they made sure that the move will go smothly and with no trouble. I loved their attitude, their great service so much that I gave each and every one of the a HUGE TIP.
