Our food is as close to Brazil's as you can get without paying for a plane ticket. We pride ourselves on making a variety of authentic home-style dishes from all parts of the country. We always have rice, beans, feijoada and farofa, the basics for any Brazilian meal, as well as region specific foods like Escondidinho and Muqueca. With 8 salads and up to 18 different dishes you never leave here disappointed, this holds true even for vegetarians with dishes like Eggplant Parmesan and Spinach souffle. For those with a sweet tooth we also have an amazing dessert buffet: mousse, cake, parfait, fudge, and flan. For dinner we also have a Rodizio, where we offer over 10 different meat cuts along with vegetables and for dessert a grilled caramelized pineapple. No meal is complete without drinks though; we have Guarana, the official Brazilian soda and tropical juices made from exotic fruits.
Betchee's Brazil Bar & Grill is great
by Timothy M.
I thought the food was very good. Lots variety, and temperature of the food, was what one would expect at a buffet. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to friends, interested in something good a different from your usual tex-mex /Chinese run.

Betchee's Brazil IS WORLD CLASS BRAZILIAN CUISINE
by Dany B.
Wow. This restaurant is amazing. They have changed several things from my last visit. I'm in love with this place. They now offer Churrasco, Rodizio style, it's delicious. Better than going to those expensive ones. I've had a Strawberry Lime Caipirinha, WONDERFUL!!!! You better try this place, you are really missing out on something GREAT. See you there

South American dining at its best. The steak is tender and marinated to my taste. The service was OK but could have been a little faster for me. Cost is very reasonable for the meals.

First Time-Now I'm Hooked!
by wendylreeves
I came across Betchee's during my business day, and stopped in. I've never had Brazilian cuisine before, but, was pleasantly surprised. It's like a little bit of Rio-from the little shop where you can buy Brazilian products to the lunch buffet that cost me around $10-I was very pleased with the variety-and the aromas in the restaurant made me forget I was sitting right off I-75! The owner told me she's hosting a Brazilian Mardi Gras on the property in May, and is bringing in a Brazilian band for an authentic Brazilian festival! I can't wait. The owner explained to me that during her recent absence she left the restaurant in the hands of several individuals who weren't as passionate about the restaurant as she is-and now she's back and planning to expand the restaurant to include outdoor seating. Betchee, I'll be back!
Pros: Wide variety, wonderful aromas, very friendly staff & owner
Cons: NONE

Horrible waste of life
by tourniquet63
I have never been one to write reviews. However the lack of quality of the food here has inspired me. I am usually a very easy going restauranteer. Especially when it comes to buffets. I understand there is a certain aspect of buffets since quantitiy is involved. But that point is entirely defeated if you can not bare to eat the food.
Truthfully I ate here because of all the wonderful reviews. They must not have had the buffet. The best part of the restaurant was the guarana soda and they had a big screen TV with brazillian footbal. That is it.
Pros: I am alive
Cons: I had to pay for the "food"

Can I give less than 1 star? Horrible food, WOW!
by gls0065
Your options for the buffet include:
sausage (cut up hotdog mixed with onions)
black beans - these weren't so bad
white rice (served cold)
Fajita meat? its not hot, it was tough and had no flavor
various fried items with meat inside- if you get lucky to choose the pork one, then it is edible. Of course nothing is labeled so you really have no idea what you are eating and you will probably regret it later.
The salad was edible if you aviod the salad dressing
I am guessing the only way they stay open is that they have a gift shop in the front to sell junk.
There is no way that these other reviews are real...
this has to be the worst resturant in Richardson
Pros: Guarana soda
Cons: They should pay ME to eat this stuff...

Authentic Brazilian - Relaxed atmosphere and Excellent food!
by sealstone
Excellent food and value - Paying by-the-pound for a buffet is unusual for american diners, but is a typical brazilian experience - the food here was wonderful, the variety excellent, the atmosphere relaxed and authentically Brazilian - I had the sunday afternoon lunch buffet with my family (and our Brazilian exchange student) and we all loved our meals. Reasonable prices, (all-u-can-eat is also an option here) and convenient location near I-75.
We will be back!

TERRIBLE FOOD, TERRIBLE FOOD
by Natek2004
Found restaurant off citysearch. Food was Cold and was not labled. Food was so bad, no flavor. The TWO meat dishes were only tough chicken and cold pork. Here is the best if you want any dessert IT NOT included in the price, they'll charge you an additional $6.99 per pound. I should have known when including me and my wife only 4 people were eating. I asked the waiter what something was on the buffett, his answer,"Sorry I dont know". I cannot believe the other reviews...they had to have been written by the owners of the restaurant.
Pros: None --- really non
Cons: Food, flavor, value, ambience

The Best Brazilian Restaurant in the metroplex, definitely worth the drive, great atmosphere!
by bobbyfrank
Delightful spanish atmosphere generally filled with Brazilian locals. The food is just beyond expectations, which is probably why Brazilians and Americans looking for that exotic experience, flock to this wonderful restaurant.
Pros: excellent food, friendly atmosphere
Cons: it is not a big chain restaurant, so service is awkward but acceptable considering atmosphere.

Great Brazilian Food
by aci
Great Brazilian food and excellent prices. Just about the best price to get good food, with a great variety, at affordable prices. The buffett allows you to have some of everything. Don't limit yourself to one plate. Don't wait for your food. Go to Brazil Brasileiro.
Pros: Great food
Cons: Buffett closes early

Wonderful home-made Brazilian food, world-class service, and great prices!!!
by sobedc
My family and I love Brazil Brasileiro and highly recommend it to everyone we meet. We always enjoy the buffet, where we get a home cooked meal that reminds us of when we lived in Salvador, Bahia. And for the price, you can't beat it. Delicious home cooked meats, fishes, chicken, stews, and vegetables made brazilian style. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home. The restaraunt is very clean and the large projector screen shows beautiful pictures of the Brazilian scenery and soccer matches. We've brought several friends here and all tell us that they go back regularly.
Pros: Friendly service, delicious food, tasty desserts, price
Cons: if you're late for lunch, the buffet may be limited

As authentic as it gets
by bblue
Great place! Great for a group (especially when there is a futbol game on). Also very nice for an intimate dinner especially on Frid. nights with live brasilian music. I go here all the time, so do the Brasilians. Just like you would find in Brasil.
Pros: Small, authentic, quiet, friendly
Cons: Make sure you are rung up correctly, I've run into some glitches a couple times.

Great tasting day-to-day homemade food
by eo_cueball
This is my first time writing a review here at citysearch but I can't pass the opportunity to recommend this restaurant in which I eat lunch with my boss two or three times per week. I love this restaurant not only because I am from Venezuela and love latin food, but also because it is an island of homemade food on a sea of fast-food industrial-tasting restaurants. There hasn't been one plate that I haven't liked it.
It is a buffet style restaurant. Different from other standard restaurants, when you enter, you walk directly to the buffet line and fill up your place with food. At the end of the line they weight your plate and you are given a number. After you are done eating you take your number and go to the cashier to pay.
I usually come in thinking "ok, I won't fill up my plate this time", but every time I fill it up and end up eating bigger portions than my diet permits. It really doesn't matter because it is healthy food and it is too good to pass.
They also do catering. They actually did my wedding's catering and it was a great success.
If you are in a rush you can use a To-Go box instead of a plate.
Bottom line, this is a really good and healthy place to eat and deserves at least one try as a minimum. You won't be disappointed and will want to go back.
Pros: Great food. Cheerful and very attentive staff (Did I also mentioned beautiful?), Live Brazilian music and big projector screen.
Cons: There are none so far.

Friendly, great authentic Brazilian food
by btg
This is my first ever City Search message but I was motivated by tonight's dinner at Brazil Brasileiro which I tried for the first time this Friday evening. I really like Tejas de Brazil but didn't want the fancy, expensive meal where I felt I had to stuff myself to "get my money's worth." I did the buffet where you are charged by the weight of the food you put on your plate -- I really enjoyed trying a little of everything. My husband chose something from the standard menu, the picunya (sp?). The food was all great, the right quantity for both of us, there were live guitarists and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. I could easily imagine I was in a casual restaurant in Brazil! We will definitely go there again.
Pros: authentic food and atmosphere, friendly and fun, cheap & different
Cons: ?

Greatest Brazilian restaurant in Dallas-TX area
by fmurakami
Definitely Brazil Brasileiro is one of the greatest and nicest restaurant in Dallas, TX. It is an authentic Brazilian cuisine style.
The food is always fresh and it is very well prepared. The service is perfect and at the end we can get a free coffee.
The desert is a paradise with so many sweet options.
Plenty of parking area.
The price is ok.
Pros: Fresh food, good quality, well prepared, so many options
Cons: The grill (mainly the "picanha") is not visible as the others plates, is quite hided, and it needs to be ordered.

Like going to lunch at your grandma's!!!!
by nikki89
The thing I miss the most from Brazil is the human warmth, and this place has it in loads. The set up is good for all occasions be it for a business meeting or a fun dinner with the family. The buffet has a wide variety of food that caters to all allergies and diets especially vegetarians. The food is always fresh and tasty. The price is fair, you can leave satisfied without breaking the bank. If you want a little culture with your meal this is the place to go, be it for the live music or the little gift shop on your way out. Good food, good deal, and good service..... you can't go wrong!!!
Pros: Service, parking, music, handicap accessible
Cons: hidden location, minor language barrier

Do you call this Brazilian Food?
by simpatico75206
Food is okay. I guess you pay for what you get. I don't like the decorations in that place. customer service is okay. Everything is overpriced, but is much cheaper than going to a Churrascaria.
