Great experience. Knowledgeable people and large selection of vintage guitars. Relaxed atmosphere. Worth a trip from anywhere to see the quality and variety of musical instruments. Excellent value for the type and quality of guitars offered.

I've bought and sold instruments with these guys. Owner Steve and his team are well informed, trustworthy, and acquire a unique collection of both classic and oddball instruments. I learn something new every time I interact with these guys. Anyone who loves vintage instruments will enjoy browsing their site and store. An important part of Brooklyn's musical community.

I came to Retrofret in Brooklyn after experiencing the impersonal
horror of West.48 Street in Manhattan.What a difference.It's a quiet
living room situation with hundreds of choice vintage guitars. The people helping you know their stuff and don't hover and oversell the instruments.
Being a working musician,it's nice to be left alone in a store where you can just concentrate on the sound of what you're playing.I liked their condition rating system.Stuff was what what it claimed to be.
It's a nice way to spend an afternoon.
