Very disappointing 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

My husband and I went to dinner to celebrate a major anniversary. The atmosphere was average. The food was very disappointing. The menu is very limited and only offered one special on this Saturday. The seafood dish was oversalted as were the vegetables. The veal was tough and the lemon/butter sauce that accompanied it was overpowering. The food was served in less than ten minutes after we placed our order indicating that it had been precooked. The only bright spot of the evening was the waiters choice of wine.

Pros: None
Cons: Food, Atmosphere,

Elegant but Comfortable Ambience 5 Star Rating - World class

Let me begin by saying I was lookin' and feelin' superfly-fine the evening I tried this Osteria. I had four lovely young women with me (I ain't braggin' -- just adding context) and they were in the mood to keep it real, as they say. So, we all ordered different entrees and shared each others' plates. I won't get so detailed here that you lose interest, so suffice it to say that the duck, the lamb, the fish, the veal, and, of course, the pasta were all excellent -- truly. I'm not a food expert, but I'm no bumpkin from east Texas either, so please trust me when I tell you that the food was righteous, people. Wine, on the other hand, I do know a fair bit about, and theirs was very, very nice. Their selection was not as deep as some restaurants that showcase their cellars, but the ones they did have were excellent. We had three bottles and all were truly exceptional (all under $70). Our perfect desserts were the White Passion and the Cappucino. By the way, the calamari and smoked salmon appetizers were excellent as well. But, believe it or not, the best part was the atmosphere. It's dark, romantic, quiet, serene, cozy, and casually chic. Luigi, our waiter, was very friendly, knowledgeable, smooth, and a real Italian -- from the old country. Misty, the manager was also the epitome of warm professionalism. They also have a separate bar area and an expansive patio for warmer evenings, both of which add the type of physical variety to a restaurant that accommodates whatever mood you might be in. On a scale of 1 - 10, Daniele Osteria is easily an 8.69. Try it. You'll see. As for me and the girls, yeah, we'll be back -- listening to Prince on the way over (loud), sprucin' up our dancin' shoes with a lick and a flick of the thumb, and wishin' we had come back to Daniele just a little sooner. Now you don't know me, but I am The FunkBlaster, and I do not lie. Peace out -

Good Place to eat, if you're over 30 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

I will first start out by saying that the food was extremely good. I had no problems with the behind-the-scenes atmosphere of this restaurant. Although, I really wouldn't recommend this restuarant for younger couples. My fiance and I showed up for an early dinner so, obviously, there was only one other table occupied. All the waiters and chef gave extra attention to this group of four. Several other older couples showed up and the same thing happened to them. Now, there were about 3 other tables with younger people trying to enjoy the dinner but no special accomodations were giving to to them either. This restaurant seemed extremely biased with the customers that they try to please. Who ever said that someone in their mid 20's cannot shell out $200 on a nice meal?

Pros: Food
Cons: Service

Not great for the price paid 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Four of us went here for a special occassion and we were very excited to try this place out. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic, although due to a doorway covered by only a curtain it was a little too cold for comfort.

The food was good, but not exeptional for the price paid. And above all, the service wasn't exceptional for the price paid. We ordered many drinks on the night, and each time the server seemed to have a sly remark to make about it. He was very pretentious and assuming and by the end of the night we had had enough of the comments and just wanted to leave. For a bill of $450 for two people, you would think they would be more than happy to accomodate what we wanted, but the server acted more like our parents than an actual server. We were having an intimate dinner and were not loud or bothering anyone to warrant such judgement from the server.

Overall the service can make or break a restaurant, and when the food was just average, the service definitely made this a place we would never come back to.

Pros: Ambience
Cons: Service, Overpriced

Incredible place for that special date or romantic dinner anytime. 5 Star Rating - World class

There are not enough words to express the ambiance and food in this place. You MUST come and "experience" it for yourself!

Pros: There isn't enough space here to list them all.
Cons: If there is one, the seating is limited. But then again, that's one of the "pros" as well!
