Tattered Cover Book Store

Anytime I need a place to grab a book or magazine to relax with, I can just head down to the Tattered Cover, grab a book, and slip into a comfy chair. The staff always has a friendly face and are always willing to help.

I miss the Cherry Creek store--this one isn't in the same league. I enjoy the experience of coming to this store, however. The selection is just that much elevated beyond your regular book store, and the cafe is quite nice. I wish the foreign book selection was at all on par with what the old Cherry Creek store offered, but it's still better than most book stores like Borders or B&N. I always welcome an excuse to head out to this store.

I love this place. My book club meets here once in awhile. The ambiance is nice at the coffee bar... They do need more comfy chairs, though. The book selection is excellent.

Tattered Cover in Highlands Ranch is the perfect neighborhood bookstore. While it is the same size as a Barnes & Noble or Borders, it offers a more quaint feeling inside, with the same, if not better, selection of books. They have a wonderful children's book section, filled with small couches and furniture that encourages the little ones to sit down and read. They have a great selection of baby, toddler, beginning reader and chapter books. They have an excellent teen book area, also. The staff are extremely helpful and eager to find any book you're looking for. If they do not have the book in stock, they will order the book, free of shipping cost, and have it delivered to the store within days. They also have a nice coffee shop with pastries.

Although not as big as the downtown Denver store, this bookstore has been a great addition to the Highlands Ranch area. The computers make it easy to search for books; the staff is quite knowledgeable.

Im so glad to have this charming and thorough bookstore in my neighborhood (Highlands Ranch location). For the reader, it has stacks and stacks of books covering every subject under the sun. The staff is knowledgeable and generally able to make recommendations based on your tastes. I particularly like the large childrens book section. I have found every book I have wanted in the childrens section, without having to special order.

When you walk into the Tattered Cover, you'll notice that it's not as large as the downtown or CC store. However, it has what you need. Loads of publications... it is definitely the best place to pick up the New York Times on Sunday -- and also a huge kids section.
Author visitors often come to this branch also and it is such a pleasure not to have to fight the traffic on TREX!
You'll fall in love with the little cafe, which is open daily for lunch or snacks. Try the ginger sandwich cookies, they are divine with a hot cup of tea on a snowy day.

PROS: huge selection; kids and fun reading primarily; author visits; cafe in-stor
CONS: not a huge reference or hisorical lit section

This place is great. They have plenty of free close parking. The store is a quiet atmosphere so you can sit and enjoy yourself. The staff are very helpful at finding the books.
