I have tried and tried to get a new style. I called and spoke with Jenny. She said "come on in, we will figure something out". She sure did. I love my new cut. Next time I just need her to show me how to do the back portion myself so it looks as nice as when she did it.

I was looking for a new salon to try and I don't like the big trendy salons where you have to dress up like you are going to a wedding and you have to spend like $200 on your hair for a cut and style. I called Jenny's and was able to secure an appointment the same day with Jessica. She was very professional and listened to how I wanted my hair and spent a lot of time with me and gave me a great cut. Prices are very reasonable, and the shop is very cute and nicely decorated in bright colors. Their dog, Sunny is adorable and is very friendly and just sits on her couch and watches you. A definate must go to salon if you are looking for a new place, want reasonable prices, great service and the atmosphere is quite comfortable. Thank you for a great experience!

I found out about Jenny's salon through CitySearch. The positive reviews FOOLED me into making an appointment and driving 30 min there. I had been really excited, because sometimes a tiny little shack salon can produce really great results. But now, I wouldn't be surprised if all those reviews were 'made up' by their friends to boost their ratings.

The stylist kept looking at me with a confused look whenever I talked to her and there was a 3 second lapse before each of her responses. It's like she didn't quite 'get' what I was saying, but did her work anyway. Super young, thought she was the receptionist.

Highlights--not that great. In fact, she covered up the ones I already had with toner.

After explaining that I only wanted a hair TRIM, she took off about 3 inches.

Truth be told, I want to support the community during these hard times. In fact, I hesitated in writing this review, but felt I owed it to future clients who might fall for the same gimmick. Reading some of the other reviews, I can predict the business will probably shoot back some immature, catty defense and put me down somehow in order to make themselves look better, but that will not hinder me from speaking the truth. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone and am sad for the money I poured down the drain along with the hair dye.

I read the reviews on City Search for Jenny's Salon and thought I'd give it a try. As mentioned before, the store front is modest, but the inside is decorated in a nice modern style. Jenny S. cut my hair and she did a fantastic job! She took her time to make sure that my hair looked great and I appreciated that I didn't feel rushed. Plus, the price was really reasonable, especially for the time that was spent. I left feeling really pampered.

Only downside was the weird guy (I think he was called Ali?) working behind the desk. When I walked in, he had given me a once over, was professional, but his nonverbal communication did not reflect the professional talk. He could be more of an acquired taste. Regardless, that will not stop me from coming back. Jenny S. was great and I can't wait to return to have my hair cut again by her.

I went to Jenny's Salon after reading all of the great reviews on Citysearch. Jenny was my stylist and she did exactly what I wanted and both my highlights and cut turned out perfectly! I have been to a lot of salons and I have never been as pleased with both the placement (meaning i can pull my hair up or back or change the part around and the highlights still look pretty and even) and tone (?) of my highlights (very nice and golden looking) as well as the cut. Plus she was very knowledgeable and funny and I really enjoyed talking to her. Salon was very clean and orderly, liked the decor, too. Everyone at the salon was friendly and I love Sunny the dog! Thanks for a great experience and i will definitely be back.

I would highly recommend this salon to anyone and I have, my cousin, my Aunt and my Mom and now they all go here and they love it too! I see Jessica and she does a great job every time! I would highly recommend her. I love the great people there and the atmosphere and I love the dog it is one of my favorite things about the place. It just feels like home and is so friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to make an appointment now, hurry go do it you won't regret it!

i had the best expirience by the stylist by the name of carol.and not only was i very impressed by the highlight lowlight haircut it was the best ive ever had her upbeat personality her 17 yrs of expirence shows

I'm a regular at Jenny's Salon. The prices are very reasonable compared to other salons I have been to. It is so worth it--Jessica (my stylist) takes her time blowdrying my incredibly thick hair and leaving it perfect. I have been to salons where they seem to rush through the job. I always get complimented on my hair after leaving Jenny's! They got me hooked on Pureology. Love the dog, Sunny ,too!

I am a first time customer to Jenny's Salon and I was just going to get a simple boring cut and color like I normally do, but Angela recommended that I should add some red highlights to bring out my eye color. I completely trusted her judgment and I walked out of there looking like a whole new person! (In a good way) She really knew what she was talking about and I was ecstatic about the end results!!! I found a new hair salon to call home! This is a very welcoming place and I highly recommend it. Angie Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again and I cant wait to come back!!! I miss sunny the dog already!!

It's conveniently located, fairly priced, and skilled staff who are great at what they do. I love dogs, and theirs is super well behaved and just sweet. I think I'd still go even if I had a dog allergy. I'd just take medecine first. I mean, if you're really against dogs, then don't bother. But if you think you can deal, it's worth it. You're going to look good when you're done. Everyone is relaxed and happy there, it's not a snooty place. It's open and comfortable. I totally love it. I'm getting my phone to make an appointment RIGHT NOW.

I can't believe someone wouldn't love Sunny. She's the first one I go to see when I get there. Great salon and a great value with times like they are. If you're an animal lover you'll love this salon! If not..tell someone who works there and they would gladly put the dog in the back!

Avoid this salon if you have even the slightest of allergies to dogs. There is a large dog laying in the reception area and even after mentioning my allergy the receptionist and stylist, they did not remove the dog to the back room. The stylist stank of cigarette smoke and so did the shop.

Went into Jenny's as walk -in looking for a new look. Angela took considerable time to talk with me and discuss what I wanted and when she was done I couldnt have been happier! She did an awesome job and I love my new 'do - The salon was hip and I would recommend it to anyone. Prices were reasonable and I left very pleased- Thanks Angela!!!

I went out on a limb and made an appointment at Jenny's Salon based on the reviews here. I was nervous about it but I had to find a new salon to go to after my usual place for the last few years canceled my appointment that I had set a few weeks prior because they were overbooked and couldn't fit me in for another month. I called Jenny's and they set me up with an appointment in a few days. Jenny did my cut and it was fabulous! I have thick hair and most stylists take over an hour to cut my hair but with Jenny it was a little over half and hour and I left with a really cute long, layered, fun cut. Some of the reviews here complained about the price but I found the prices to be extremely reasonable given the quality of the work and other salons in the area. It's a really fun atmosphere and I love that they have a dog that greets you when you come in. I think I found my new favorite salon!

I was looking online for a new salon and I found Luna Studio here on City Search and my whole experience was silpmy delightful! My old salon was not living up to my expectations I mean I have the right to expect the best when it comes to my hair and the best is what I recieved at Luna Studio. From the time I booked my appointment the receptionist were very helpful and patient if assisting me in finding an accomodating time for both my daughter and myself. From the moment we walked in the ladies at the front desk waited on us and made us feel very comfortable. They gave us a tour and then our stylist came and gave us a knowledgeable consultation and they made us both look beautiful. My stylist also explained to me that from this visit to my next visit that I could stop my and she would trm my bangs to keep my hair looking its best. It was nice to feel appreciated and be made to look fantastic by truly professional stylist. Before leaving both my daughter and myself made sure to book both of our next appointments.

It was my first time getting my hair colored, my husband and I were just visiting Detroit, but I saw so many great reviews for Jenny's, especially for Jessica, I decided to get my hair done there. My hair was brown and dull and I needed a refreshing change. Jessica lived up to the great reviews, she is young, hip and experienced and I was so happy with the way my new blonde look came out. My husband loves it!!! and I've gotten so many complements since we returned home. I got my eyebrows done too, came out perfect. They offered me something to drink and everyone was nice, if you are in Detroit or Madison Heights, treat yourself to a day at Jenny's.

When I need a Quick fix i was driving down the road from another salon that had messed up my hair and i seen it jenny's salon i went in and i did not have to wait i got my hair done by jenny and it was great i will never go anywhere ever again she is the best

So...I have been going to Windsor Canada to get my hair cut for the last few years. For about the last year or so, I have been wondering if it is worth it. The time commitment, withering financial benefits, & so-so hair cuts from going to Canada led me to decide to try something closer to home. Wow...what a scary decision. Shoot...it's only hair right...it will grow! I found Jenny's Salon on CitySearch and decided to give it a try. Holy Cow! I finally had a stylist who paid 100% attention to me & my hair as opposed to answering the phone or participating with other conversations in the Salon. And even better, I got the best cut I have had in a very very long time! Jenny did exactly what I have been asking the guy from Canada to do for over a year. My hair is a bit shorter than I normally wear it...but that is mainly my fault. Jenny & I wil know better next time...and there WILL be a next time! I am hooked! I have received so many compliments already! Thanks Jenny!

I recently got my eyebrows waxed at Jenny's Salon since I had read good things about the salon on City Search. However, after having my eyebrows waxed there my left eyebrow was way farther to the left past my eye than my right was over my right eye. They looked like I had plucked too far on one eyebrow and not the other--completely uneven. Not to mention all the straggler hairs that were left below my eyebrows. I had just done a quick look in the mirror at the salon and said they looked okay, but I still cannot believe Jenny let me leave the salon with such uneven brows. It was obvious to each one of my friends I asked to look at my brows that night. What sloppy work. I won't even mention the extra upset because I had to be in a wedding only days later...

Cons: Very small salon with only one stylist on staff. Had to wait an extra 15 minutes even though I had made an appointment.

I heard this salon was good but a little pricey. I have been going to Birmingham so I figured I'd give it a try. Jessica gave me totally fantastic hair extensions for almost half of what I was paying. I am hooked! Give this salon a try and if Jesse isn't there her sister Jenny does great color work too!

Jessica is my new stylist and I am thrilled. I have been all over town. I have been overcharged, hair burnt, sloppy blotchy color, bad cuts etc. I have finally found a reasonably priced salon that does awesome work. I suggest making an appointment though because Jesse isn't always there, but she's worth planning for:)

I really enjoyed my experience at Jenny's Salon. The stylists were relatable and genuine people. I was especially happy with my highlights by Stacy! After having horrible experiences with color, I was a little nervous about letting someone new touch my hair. Stacy asked me what I wanted and delivered. I was very pleased with her color design and have since been back for touch ups. Also, the prices are very resonable. I love my hair! Thanks Stacy!!!

Jenny gives great color! She took me from drab brown to super hot blonde and made it look natural. All my children get their hair done at Jenny's. The best part is I would trust anyone of the stylists with my hair since I know Jenny only wants quality at her place. I like Jenny best though!

I've known Stacy for years and she's done my hair many, many times. It's especially nice when she does it at Jenny's Salon; everyone there is really friendly, the atmosphere is very laid-back, Sunny is a doll, and I'm always thrilled with my hair. Keep up the good work, ladies!!

Today I went to Jenny's for the first of what I am sure will be many trips. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. Sunny was so sweet!! Jessica did my cut and color, and my hair has never looked this good. I still can't stop smiling! I will definitely go back - this experience was worth every penny!

I highly recommend Jenny's Salon; she is a wonderful, outgoing, creative and spectacular hair stylist with a passion for what she does! I have been going to her for a few years now and I have never left her salon unhappy even a little. In addition to Jenny's Salon I do have to say when I have gone in there not knowing what to do with my hair she has always given me great advise and a couple options from her own personal opinion and its turned out great!

I went to city serch and just found the best secret in michigan (jennys salon) I have never paid under $60.00 for a hair cut, I did my research and found alot of very satisfied customers that have gone to this salon. I had an appointment at your over priced salon in birmingham, and with a knot in my stomach I thought what the hell I am going to give it a shot, cancelled birmingham and went into madison heights, not the best looking salon from the outside, but ohhhh so cute on the inside, I got the best hair cut I have had in I cant tell you how long, I have very thick long hair, when I left my hair was half the weight it was when I went in and I still have the length that I love. to all of you girls and guys out their that think birmingham or royal oak is it. you are getting ripped off! try jennys salon, half the price with out the attitude. I will let all my peps know about this place. jessica was who I saw very friendly and knew what she was doing, you bet I will be back.

I randomly found Jenny's on citysearch, actually, and I'm so glad I did! I needed an updo for a fancy party, and I was so happy with Stacey's work. I had some ideas and she helped me put them together into a great look, that left me feeling very confident and sophisticated! My boyfriend has also had his hair cut there, and he'd never looked hotter after Jenny was done with him!

I was recently married nearby, in Warren and knew nothing about the area. I needed someone to give me an up-do for my wedding, somewhat last minute, and saw the good review's (and the very reasonable prices) for Jenny's Salon here on Citysearch. Stacy did my hair, and it looked absolutely fabulous!!! She was very personable and she had no troubles with my typically problematic thick head of hair. I would most definitely recomend Jenny's, and only wish it were closer to my home (Ypsilanti). Thanks for the great job!

My fiancee has gone to Jenny's twice already and she loves it. The first time she went for a updo for a wedding and it looked great. The second time she went for a haircut. Both times she loved it. The staff is very nice and remembers your name and we love their dog! Thanks!

I just moved to Michigan and was looking for somewhere to get my hair done, which can be nerve racking. A coworker told me to go to Jenny's Salon, Well I must say I am very happy I did! I was greeted with friendly smiles and my hair looks amazing. The Salon itself is amazing and all the people are great I felt like I was at home. My hairdresser Jenny listened to me and did a great job on my color and cut. The prices were great, I was ready to pay and was shocked that it was so cheap for how great my hair looked. I went to Jenny's for the first time last week and it was great! First, I was greeted by their mascot Sunny, the cuteset dog ever, who makes you feel at home right as soon as walk through the door. Then Stacy did my highlight and cut and I couldn't have been happier! She did an awesome job and was very friendly. And the best part (besides my hair) was the price! $100.00! For great service, nice people and a head full of highlights, haircut, and an amazing blowdry! I am hooked and you will be too!

I went to Jenny's Salon and got the best haircut ever. The barber Tito gave me the best fade, he took his time and the haircut was PERFECT! I will recommend all my boys to go to tito. I also got a line up and beard trim and Tito is so talented he shaved designes in my beard. I have been a lot of places but never got the kind of service i got at Jenny's Salon.

I went to jennys salon because i read all the great reviews and i must agree 100%! I have never been to a salon where people were so friendly and caring. As soon as i walked into the trendy salon i was greeted with warm smiles. My stylist took her time to listen to what i wanted and she recommened what she thought would look good on me and i must say the end result was amazing! Ok first I like to say I finaly used my Self Cleaning Over Button on my stove. Second I like to say that Jenny's Place is sweet! I mean Not only was I beyond Satisfied with the results of my hair but the salon its self is beautyfully designed. With all the fresh colors, totaly stylish furniture and angelic stylist the place has a sease of relife. With no doubt has a unique dynamic that no other salon can come close to. Other salons have their music on full blast, their stylist rushing because the front desk over booked and very loose stares. Jenny's place makes you fel welcomed and accepted. I mean who would not love the american Bulldog waiting to great you at the front door. That dog is unbelievablly cute. Jenny and her whole staff know how to treat a clinet. So Hats off to Jenny's Salon and Keep up the good work.

an, before I walked in to Jennys Salon my hair was in serious trouble. I seen her ad and I knew I needed a change in my hairstyle. Right when I walked in, I felt a great aura at this Salon. The Staff was friendly, very down to earth, none of that arrogant type of non-sense that you see at those other Salons. So a short story long, Jenny happily agreed to take my hair on, and let me tell you something, this was no walk at the Old Zoo from Police Academy 2. She took her time and reinvented my hair, no Joke. I became a new man after leaving Jennys Salon, thank you Jenny, Thank You!

I brought a picture to Jessica and showed her what I wanted. She gave me the best cut!
It is exactly as in the picture, when I washed and styled my hair the next day, it turned out PERFECT, it is the BEST hair cut I have had in a very long time!

My Daughter had her hair cut and highlighted with Jessica. She did an amazing job! The color is better than she has ever had, and her hair cut is outstanding! I highly recommend this salon, especially Jessica. We will definately be going back, and I will have her do my hair next!

I would like to recommend my favorite stylist, my dear friend Doug, who works at Jenny's Salon Inc. He takes the time, passion and has the impeccable taste to make anyone's hairstyle look it's best and I am very fortunate to have found him among many stylist in the Oakland county area. I went in to Jenny's Salon and Jessica was my stylist. She took her time, listened to what I wanted and even helped me learn to better style my hair. My color is better than I expected, which has never happened before:) My hair looks awesome, I LOVE IT! I bought the Pureology Hydrate Shampoo that they use at the salon and it is great too! I am so happy I finally found a place I can feel at home. You have got to try it!

This is a great salon and I can not wait to return. Very bright, modern, friendly decor. Entire staff very inviting and makes you feel comfortable. My hair was copper in color with old highlights. Had entire hair color changed to light brown with highlights, because of advise colorist gave me. So glad I listened. Will deifinately return to have colored touched-up. Colorist/Stylist was Doug, give him a call.

I loved this salon! It's bright lime green and very inviting. Everyone was friendly and nice. I got a great cut, shampoo with a scalp massage and a blow dry for only $20. I will be a permanent client!

I called last saturday and went in for a haircut and I had Rob cut my hair. He did an outstanding job I have recieved alot of positive comments about it. I would highly recommend Rob for all the guys out there he does a great job and does not rush through it he takes his time until he is satisfied with your look and you will be too.

I was so happy with my experience here! Everyone was really nice and listened to what I asked for. I couldn't believe how affordable it was. I was able to get my hair shampooed, cut & stlyed, and a facial for $55! I highly recommend this salon, great atmosphere and people!!!
