Highly Recommend Autohaus
by Margaret S.
Highly RecommendI must admit I had some reservations about taking my car in for service at a shop with a poor review status. But my experience with the staff and quality of repair there was VERY good. I have always taken my car to the dealership before, but the dealer never spent the time to explain the problem, only told me what it would cost to fix it. At Autohaus they explained my problem and even offer me the damaged part back when I picked up me car. I found them to be friendly, honest, and a great value.

After posting my review about Autohaus damaging my vehicle, I see that the owner has also posted a review of his own business warning people of the dangers of user reviews (makes you wonder how many of the good reviews he posted for himself). This is an obvious attempt to cast doubt upon any negative reviews and steer people away from the truth of his unscrupulous dealings. He insults reviewers by calling them "cowardly" and "malicious". My experience with him proves these words hypocritical. I recommend doing business with someone else.

Autohaus Damaged My Vehicle!
by Jeremy W.
I brought my car to Autohaus for an oil change. Everything was fine until I went outside to leave. One of the mechanics rolled down my back window, which now would not go back up. The manager at the desk and the owner both refused to take responsibility for this and I had to have my car repaired at another place for $300. I would not recommend anyone do business with people of such low moral character.

pros and cons of internet reviews
by doug r.
Hello, I'm Doug Rogers, and I own and operate Autohaus Import Service. Please take a minute to read the 2 unfavorable posts about my business, and then the years of excellent reviews that pulled over from Citysearch. Internet reviews are a two-edged sword. They allow potential customers to get a sense of what a business is about before they visit, which is a good thing.
They also allow cowardly, malicious individuals to hide behind the mask of anonymity, as they cut and paste outright lies all over the internet, with no accountability whatsoever. This alleged "customer" doesn't exist, this set of circumstances never took place.
Recently, in an attempt to better serve our customers,we had some employee changes at Autohaus. These negative posts started appearing just a couple of days later.
Coincidence? Read all the reviews, and then YOU be the judge.

Dishonest

Couldn't get my car inspected with the check engine light on, although the car was running perfectly. I'd like to think I could trust them with such an open-ended problem, but I was wrong. They charged me $150 just for diagnostics, then wanted to charge me $750 for what I later found was about $225 worth of parts and work an idiot could do in 2 hours . That comes to about $250/hour in labor! Based on the diagnostic report, I changed the spark plugs myself. It cost me $15 and took about 20 minutes, and the check engine light went off and has stayed off. Please, do not trust them with your car!
