Mike and his team are simply world class. With over 20+ years of piano moving experience and trained in some of San Francisco's most challenging buildings, there is no job to small or complex for them. This team is completely professional, experienced and all they do is pianos. They moved our 68 Yamaha BGP with the most care and took the time to recommend and position in our new home. Their prices are outstanding and provide quick turn-around. I would recommend and use them again in a heart beat!

I met five of the piano movers yesterday (to include Mike, the owner/boss). A family bought my piano, it was way more complicated to move it out of our eclectic home, hence the two teams. I was so impressed I kept taking photos of the move... over the brick planter in the house, up and down a bunch of steps.I can only give these guys 5 stars but they really should get 10. Friendly, honest, incredibly hard working...... loved the whole experience.!!!!!!!! Anita, the seller.

We were pleased with Mike's team. He was friendly on the phone and called back to confirm our appointment the night before our moving date. It didn't take them as long as we anticipated because they knew what they were doing. Overall, we were satisfied with their professional service.

We would recommend them to other people.

I had Bay Area Piano Movers move my piano for the second time today. The first time it was an emergency, another piano mover had left my grand piano on my driveway because they could not negotiate the tight turns on my stairwell and had already marred my hardwood and my walls. It was mid January and was threatening rain, so a local piano store recommended I call Mike McGee at Bay Area Piano Movers. This time I knew better than even bother calling anyone else. Highly recommend.

Nice and well orgainized piano mover, nice irish guy with pleasant attitude. A little late but did a nice job.

I bought a Kawai piano at Carnes piano about three years ago and they referred me to these guys. I told the people at Carnes Piano I don't want just any mover moving my piano. They gave these guys, a really nice compliment to the moving co. and they were right. A little expensive but very careful with my piano.

Mike and his crew arrived when they said they would, greeted me with a handshake and the next thing i knew, my steinway grand was on the truck. I have to say i was almost in disbelief because the previous company that moved the piano was at my home for a little over an hour. I was anticipating the same thing because i thought thats how long it was supposed to take. Mike and his crew were at my home for approximately 15 minutes start to finish. They did not rush, they just knew what they were doing. I realize now that i had a less than par experience when it was first moved by the other movers. In any event, i was very impressed from start to finish. Their price was a little bit higher than another company i had called, however, i feel i made the right decision and hired the recommended movers. . It seems to be one of those things that you get what you pay for. I now understand that this is an industry where cheaper is not necessarily better. I feel i got a very fair deal and some peace of mind by using Bay Area Piano Movers. mike and his crew are clean cut and polished. They just put me at ease right away. Thank you guys for a fantastic experience!

I recently hired Bay Area/Colton Piano movers to move my smaller studio size piano from SJ to Saratoga. I was a little skeptical at first but changed my mind completely once I met the movers. They were extremely professional and cordial. I recommend the company highly and would hire them again without a second thought.

I recently hired Bay Area Piano Movers to move my two pianos. It was a great experience. I have others moved my pianos before but these guys truly are the real professionals. They took the care to wrap the piano one way when moving them down the stairs, and then another for the ride on the truck. They are also very careful with the walls and obviously with the pianos. From the way they handled the move and they way they disassemble and assemble the grand piano, They are obviously very experienced.

One caveat though is that this seems to be a mom-and-pop shop, and as such they are stretched a bit too thin. It's difficult to get them to commit to a firm appointment. I was not able to get the actual time of the move of my pianos until the night before the scheduled date.

At the conclusion of moving my pianos, the owner Mike offered to move my furniture. I was very glad that he offered. But Mike seems to be under a lot of pressure with his work. The original appointment to drop by my apartment for an estimate was last Tuesday. It was then moved to Thursday. Both times Mike simply forgot about the appointment. Friday morning I called Mike's cell and was promised 7:30. 7:30 came and no Mike, I called and was told 9:30. At 9:45, no Mike and I called his cell for a total of 4 times between 9:45 pm to 10 pm, just to see if I could get a hold of him for yet another ETA. When Mike finally picked up, he abruptly canceled the offer to move my furniture, because I "kept calling" him when he's at work.

Mike's voice mail was already full when I first called him tonight at 7:30 pm. When he has the time to check his messages, he would know.

I called their listed number, thinking to leave their office a feedback about this, but it bounced to Mike's cell. So I guess I ended up calling Mike yet again. Sorry, Mike.
Since no one at their office was there to listen, I guess I have to write it here.

This lack of professionalism, or a spouse acting as a receptionist/go-between when they know they have delayed a customer by 4 days and still pushing back an appointment, leaves a stain on their otherwise perfect workmanship.

I am a piano teacher and have worked with several piano moving companies. Bay Area Piano Movers exceeds all expectations. They moved my baby grand piano to my home in San Mateo and I couldn't be happier with the level of service and expertise. I will be recommending this company to all my students and their families.
