After driving around for 20 minutes trying to find a parking spot, I was flustered but excited to try someplace new especially since we had bottle service. The reservation had been set THREE WEEKS in advance. I should have taken a sign after the frustration of parking and went home to spend the evening with my cat. After a 45 minute wait for our table for 8 (the reservation was NINETEEN) we were finally seated. The food -um, ok. The service -TERRIBLE. The people being tattooed in the sweaty dark -creepy. The crowd - diverse but expecting a fight to break out any second. After trying to speak with a manager for 30 minutes we gave up. We left to go someplace where we didn't have to wait an hour for a drink and we weren't afraid of being stabbed in the corner. No one in my group will ever return.

Pros: Artists doing live graffiti

Cons: Service, atmosphere, service, service, service

Don't know what happened to this spot... Used to duck in here with the crew after AV's games from time to time, like a year - year and a half ago and always had a really great time crushing a few back before take off on the town. Have dropped in to Lure twice in the past month or so and something has changed drastically. Attitude now looms in this place in a bad way. Guess there is new ownership/ management or something... Don't know, feels more like Monarch now, (Which is not a good thing) If your not a regular or an ultra trendy Uber Douche you just get no love in this spot nowadays. It's too bad... BD

The Lure is one of the best places to go out in Denver and personally my favorite. It has the perfect amount of people; it?s not too packed and never vacant. The bartenders are quick and make amazing specialty drinks and it is not overpriced compared to some of its other competitors in Denver. The Lure offers two huge floors which makes it easy to stay there all night and never get bored. There is usually always a big event going on there which changes up the scene so you never know what you?ll get when you go there. You can lounge and have a conversation or dance the night away with your friends. The DJ plays cutting edge music and not an overdose of those typical bar songs over and over again. (How many times can we take ?Sweet Home Alabama? every single night?) The Lure is Denver?s ?best of the best? when it comes to nightlife and it?s where the best of the best go to party.

Pros: classy, fun, hip, elegant, dressy, no lines, great music

Cons: none

This place is great. Relaxed yet exciting. Great menu and great place to people watch. Unlike some of the other places nearby (you know who I am talking about), where you find a sea of "$30,000 a year Millionaires". People are cool, down to earth, and attractive.
I highly recommend this place for a date or a night of being single.

Pros: Classy and Clean

Cons: None

.

It is another LA inspired slop house! The food use to be good and there use to be employees there that actually invested their time in getting to know their crowd. I heard the owners "cleaned house" and it went downhill from there. I give it 3 months.

Me and my girlfriends were strolling around downtown after going to the S*x and the City Premier, when we stumbled into the Lure. It?s a swanky lounge across a residential area. Hmmmm....I thought why haven't I heard of this place. Anyway, when my girlfriends fly in from NY or LA they always question what are we going to do in Mountain Town???

Little do they know that Denver is growing and that we are more hip than what they think, so they were very impressed with the Lure. Great atmosphere, nice bartenders and the owner sat down and chatted with us for a little bit. Their computer system did go down for a bit, but they handled it very professionally and efficiently. As any business knows, stuff happens. Overall, my girlfriends and I love it!
Once the Upstairs open, I plan on having my bachelorette party there as long as my fiance does not beat me to it since I've turned him on to the Lure. Tito, you get kisses from LA and NY!

Obviously, the person below got fired and typed the review below based on anger. Must not have a job yet if they took the time to do that. Good luck finding a job! There is a reason you?re NOT there.

Pros: Two fat thumbs up - cool lounge

Cons: possible register issues, but patience is a virtue

So I got bottle service here there was 9 people in my group. Yeah the food was good, in fact it was really good. However, the waitress only gave us the first drink poured. Then when we were out of mixers it took a lot to get her attention so that we could finish our bottles. Then she has the nerve to tell me that my boyfriend (who was drunk) told her that she was going to get a 35% tip now, she shouldn't listen to drunk people and since I was paying I was damn well going to pick the tip she deserved. Basically she was telling me to give her that high of tip. I will take my money else where.

I'd recommend this place for a pre-clubbing/night out, or just one of those weeknights where you're not looking to go all-out on the town. Love the bartenders, extremely nice, wait staff could use a little help in being friendly. Music is OKAY, but I can't be too picky given that not everyone in the world is hardcore into trance and electronica. Definitely has a lot of potential, managers are working hard to get the place up and going just in time for summer - check it out!

Is this another LA inspired slop house or what? Indignet waitstaff, poor service, expensive drinks and a "hands-off" atmosphre. Get it right - Denvers a city surrounded by 800 miles of nothing. There isn't enough upper crusties to keep you alive for more than 8 months. Good Luck - I'd like first dibs on your bar when the auction comes up!

The Lure is one of those places that just attracts the right crowds... You can go there feeling assured that you will be taken care of and treated with the utmost respect and loyalty. At times the lounge is hopping and vibrant, and other times you can go there with your girlfriends and just sit and relax in the big, comfortable booths. I go there a lot and the staff actually knows me by name, and they are always so pleasing and accommodating. I love it there because it gives you a taste of the current hip and trendy fashions that come along with good taste from the decorating to the way the staff is dressed.
Very tasty cheese platters, decadent cheese fries, great desserts, and the drink specials are spectacular.
The Lure is a place where you get to meet a lot of very influential, intelligent, and interesting people, and this is hard to find in Denver. Great job!

The music is hot, the food is great, and the service is amazing!!!! No matter what I do each weekend, I always make my way to Lure at some point because I know I will always have a great experience!

I had one of the best dates at The Lure - we did appetizers, dinner & dessert. The appetizers were a great price since it was happy hour; our dinners were prepared exactly how we liked them, and OMG the Spicy Chocolate Mousse is to die for!! Pair it with some port wine and its heaven! We went to the comedy club after that then back to The Lure for Drinks! I have been back to The Lure many times since this date and have enjoyed good times with friends every time! Even throw my 25th birthday party there :)

Much more than just an aesthetically pleasing bar, I have found Lure to be a fantastic venue to network with Denver's elite professionals as well as a great way to impress clients over a nice bottle of wine and an amazing dinner. I have yet to try something on the menu that I, or any of my guests, weren't thoroughly impressed with. I was initially unaware of just how remarkable the food was at Lure and it has now become a staple meeting place, at least once a week, for me to meet with friends and business associates due to the extraordinary service and ambiance. I attribute much of my newly acquired business to Lure and have never had anybody I have taken there not rave at my choice of restaurant. I personally love the stuffed Portabello Mushroom as a starter and the seared Tuna as my entree. Whether it be for a date, business meeting, or a pleasant evening out in Downtown Denver, there is no better Venue than Lure. I look forward to my next visit and meal!

I don't normally write reviews of any kind although I find myself mentally critquing many resatuarants as I tend to spend most of my time and money at them! However, The Lure on 14th and Blake seemed to spark my creativity. I just recently moved to Denver from Minneapolis, the city which boasts quite a bit of intimate "boutique" cafes and restaurants. The non obtrusive personality that wafts from The Lure's doors was a calm welcome into a unforgettable dining experience. Just as I prefer, the plate sizes are relatively small, perfect for sharing many or a light dinner for yourself alone if you just want to soak in the atmosphere and sip on a refreshing cocktail as I did (The Green Tea Martini), one of many named after the bartenders ex-lovers :) The eclectic mix of flavors of my dish (The seared Tuna entree) traveled pleasurably in my palette and if I had any questions at all the warm and articluate chef was there to socialize and educate on the passion that goes into every plate offered. If you are not hungry and just go for a drink you can change your mind half way through the evening because you're sure to stay awhile and their kitchen is open til' 1AM. Overall, a "must dine there again" experience. So far so good Denver!

The Lure has quickly become my favorite place for a late-night bite to eat. The menu is fantastic and reasonably priced, the best in Denver at that hour! The staff compliments the food with great service and a friendly attitude. I have not been for Dinner, but have been told by several friends that it is terrific as well. The crowd is also very friendly and unpretentious, and the atmosphere lends itself equally well to a night out on the town with friends or for a romantic spot for drinks and appetizers. Highly recommended!

Walking through the front door of The Lure the first time, I was immediately impressed by the patrons. Seemingly a cut above the rest: dressed well, fit, energetic and beautiful. Clearly, I had found my tribe.

As the night progressed, I was introduced to literally some of THE most stunning women that Denver has to offer. Oddly, they were also friendly. This predisposition to kindness that may be somewhat lacking in other Denver-based club/bars likely had something to do with The Lure's atmosphere and the instant comfort that it endears. The decor is eclectic in a very sleek and integrated way, the lighting is near perfect and the size of The Lure is large enough to accommodate enough to let you know that you are in the "right" place, yet "intimate" enough that you can still have conversations with those that you wish to become 'intimate" with. ; )

While booze is booze no matter where you buy it, the service at The Lure is spectacular and friendly. I have never asked for something I couldn't have and didn't get. Speaking of which, I have ordered items not even printed on The Lure's already spectacular menu.

Do not go to The Lure expecting anything less than excellence. Go hungry, thirsty, well behaved and well dressed- you'll have an unforgettable time!

The Lure is one of the few restaurant/bar morphs in LoDo that truly delivers a unique experience. The food (mostly small plates) is vibrant and well-priced. My girlfriend and I came in at Midnight and ate like royalty!! We consider ourselves "foodies" and particular about dining. We were both pleasantly surprised at the level of quality in both the food and ambiance at The Lure. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great date spot, client/business dinner, or just a relaxing-hip atmosphere to enjoy drinks and tapas with friends. Oh yes, and they serve food till 1am!

Walking into the Lure you can not help but notice the fine design, unique to the lounge, which sets an earthy tone. The electronica beats are always set at a medium volume, offering a space conducive to conversation (a rarity in most bars in LODO). At the same time the DJs deliver energy through the array of tracks from international artist. The crowd is always the finest with, at times, a well diversified demographic. The cocktail waitresses are always on point and are as beautiful as the cuisine provided by Jeremy Roosa. Most may wonder what to order with such an eclectic menue, but no worries, before you can ask what a Lamb Pop is, you'll have Mr. Roosa sitting next to you and your company explaining, in detail, what his inspiration was for a particular dish, and he will most likely shed some light on the country of origin, as well as why his spin on it sets it apart from anything else you have ever sampled. (Get down on his Crab Cakes!)

Lastly, the bartenders are on top of their game, and one should never wait more than a few minutes for a drink. I would recommend sampling their variety of Charbay Vodkas from Cali. (A Green Tea Press should do the trick!).

The Lure is a great restaurant right in Lodo. If you've never been there you will be surprised to come across is, because that same location has been dive-y bars in the past. But The Lure is beautiful on the inside, perfect for a dinner with friends or a date. They change their menu every couple months or so, and everything I have ever had there is amazing. The chef is more then happy to come out and discuss his menu with you, and his passion is obvious. They have a lot of reasonably priced small plates and then larger dinners as well. They have really good drinks too! Get the Green Tea Vodka Press.

I had some difficulty finding this establishment but once I did was amazed. When you are heading south on Blake Street look on your left for the "L" and the tables on the sidewalk. You will be stunned by the beautiful wait staff and how friendly everyone is. The atmosphere is very professional and strikes me as the venue to hold company happy hours and get-togethers. I have been to The Lure a few times and am always perplexed when it comes to eating the food. It always looks so good that I hate to wreck it but man does it taste good. This is a great tapas restaurant where the flavor is almost addictive. Bottom-line, I highly recommend this place!

I went in just expecting another cool, hip lounge. Well, I got that. Very new and innovative designs with dim lighting. It is a cozy place with a great drink selection. I saw a few people eating food at the tables and some at the bar. With my interest peaked, I ordered a cheese dish, some scallops, and some ribeye plates. Everything was delicious. The dishes were packed with unique, gourmet flavors (not the usual boring bar food that one might expect). I'd actually best describe the food as Asian influence fusion cuisine in a hip, cozy lounge. Awesome experience with a good crowd filling the place, as well.

The Lure's new happy hour food menu is amazing! They offer the best of their dinner menu at half the price. My friend and I shared the truffle fries and lobster tacos and were extremely impressed. I had no idea that the Lure had food this good. I used to just go there for their great nighlife atmosphere but now I highly recommend it as a great dining destination!
