Hi my name is Anne. I have been going to laser centers to treat my skin Condition for about 10 years now. About 18 months ago I found dr.rispler recommended to me by my friend. I was refreshingly surprised that it was an actual medical practice instead of one room store that has one laser machine. Ldi actually has many for different treatments. Which is perfect for me, because I used to have to go to several different places in series of steps to help me with my skin treatments. I cannot believe how good the dr. Is here. He already has saved me a lot of money because its a one stop deal. My skin really is 90% better for the first time. It makes a huge difference to go to a medical practice that has FDA approved machine. I hope this is it, thank you dr. Rispler keep up the good work,!
Don't usually write reviews, but there is defnitley a notable mention in the dermatology world. I have been going to 3 different dermatology clincs in my local area. I don't understand why, but there was no improvement for the past three years! I almost given up hope. I spent loads of money, and I still couldn't look at myself in the mirror. I was truley going to give up. I want people to know that it's not about that, it's about finding the right and most experienced dermatologist. It makes a world of a difference. I have first hand experience. I found Dr. Rispler my man, at the LDI clinic, who has been doing this for more than 30 years. I actually went there starting from November 2011, after listening to their radio commercial, I thought, why not, it is a free consultation! immediatley,
what the Doc was telling me was so different from the other dermatologists! He was telling me, don't use this shampoo and that hairspray, just basic everyday simple changes to begin with, and none of the other Docs told me that, I guess cause they wanted me to keep coming back! Anyway to keep a long story short, every day simple changes, a load of laser and proper treatment from the right doc, will fix your face. I have no, and I mean no more acne scars, even my wrinkles went away at the sides of my eyes. It's really amazing. The lasers he has are top notch, huge machines, and the other docs didn't even have anything close to it, just little tiny machines you can find at the spas! I will upload pics soon! Thank you for hearing me out!
Hi! My name is Deanna, and I wanted to write a review because I need to tell everyone that if you are desperate there is a way to help your acne. I hit my lowest just 6 months ago, I was really rock bottom. I was so depressed because of my acne so I missed school so much I actually got expelled. I spoke with my guidance councellor and she was kind enough to let me know that her son had this same issue. She really understood! She said that dr. Rispler at Laser Dermatology Insititute of california, in just 3 months, got rid of her son's acne and even all his scars. I want everyone to know that you must do laser in order for your scars to go away, there is nothng else that works. I even tried microdermabrasion, glycolic acid peels, nothing worked! Just made it worse and more red. It was really like my whole face was a sore. Yeah it was a sore for eyes! I just finished my fourth treatment, and I am so happy to say I HAVE NO MORE ACNE! all my scars are gone! Just all of them is all gone! My face is not even red! It's like I am 10 years old again! woo hoo! can you believe it! I also bought my guidance councellor a gift for leading me to the right place. I didn't even know they had all the FDA approved lasers. Anyway, I thought i'd share my story, and lead everyone to the right place. Don't suffer anymore! Thank you LDI!
Love always, Deanna
My brother is 6 years older than me. Of course bc of genes I naturally followed in his footsteps. When he saw a Dermatologist back then he was prescribed accutane. Until this day he suffers from severe depression and stomach problems.our family became very aware of this. When I got older and starting to suffer severely from acne, it was like facing doomsday. Of course I'd rathe sufferer through acne than depression and stomach problems. The was no way I was taking accutane. I heard about ldi in radio commercials for the free consultations. I wanted to see if there was anything that could be done. When I met dr. Rispler, I asked him right out if I should take accutane. He looked at me like I was crazy. He said no way, and strongly advised against it because of here side effects. Right then i knew I came to the right place. I signed on for 5 treatments and something called ziana. It is topical. But let me tel you, his method really works, even after the first week I noticed visible improvement. Really when I look in the mirror today, I can't believe that between me and my brother it's such a vital fact to go see the right dr. And the right combination of treatments that dont have side effects. What a world of a difference! I still feel bad for my brother that he still has to suffer in silence like this, so I want to tell the world about my story so you ar aware of potential harmful side effects. Aid have finished my fifth treatment two days ago, and I have this new face! It's like I was just born! Thank you dr. Rispler for doing the right thing, and thinking of the potential harmful side effects, I will let everyone know my story!!!!
I visited LDI some time ago, and never even thought of writing a review. However, after hearing countless advertisements on the radio today, I knew I had to help the poor innocent victims of this place. My skin imperfections were minor, but I was hoping to find a more permanent option opposed to the dermatologist prescribed regime I was on. So I made an appt. with LDI for the "free consultation" that I would always hear advertised. When I got to the office it was completely empty, which was a red flag right away. I've never seen an empty Dr's office before. After a short wait I was brought to a room and told to clean my face with the gauze and toner on the table so the Dr. could get a good look at my skin. Ok ... second red flag. Shouldn't the Dr. look at my skin in it's natural state? All well, I cleansed my skin as instructed, and waited. A man in a suit walked in and introduced himself as Dr. Risplers assistant. Ok ... strange. The "assistant" took a quick glance at my face from across the room and started some lame gimmick about how he could tell I was the type of girl who wants to look my absolute best, and that my skin would require several different lasers to get where HE told me I wanted my skin to be. He then started scribbling and circling numbers on a piece of paper, and talking in circles. In all it would be $6,500 which just about sent me into cardiac arrest. I had researched lasers at both dermatologist and plastic surgeon offices, and none of them came out to this type of pricing. Confused by the whirlwind of numbers and circles on the page I politely said I would keep everything in mind, and then asked when the Dr. would be in to look at my skin so I could ask specific questions. I was told I couldn't talk to the Dr. unless I was going to receive treatments. If I wanted to pay right then for the first treatment I could receive it immediately and talk to the Dr, but I had to pay first. I told him I wouldn't pay for anything until I spoke with the Dr., at which time he stood up and politely said "Ok, thank you for your time, please let us know when you decide you want to make a difference in your skin." I was like ... "uhhh, that's it?" and he said yes, unless I wanted to make a payment. I then asked if I could keep the sheet with all the pricing that he had kept clutched in his grip the entire time, and he told me no. I was thrown back, thinking he clearly must have misunderstand because who wouldn't allow me to keep a copy of the pricing? So I repeated the question, and jestured to the sheet. I got the same answer, this time he opened the door letting me know it was time for me to leave. I got back to my car feeling like I had been ripped off, and I hadn't even forked a cent over to these people, nor would I. Total scam. There are so many reputable dermatologist and plastic surgery centers that offer laser treatments, or other acne treatments, at a fraction of the cost and you actually get to speak to a Dr. Avoid this place like the plague. Also, notice how all the reviews are either 5 stars or 1 star ... seems a little fishy. Do your research first, do not fall victim to this scam just because some radio DJ is paid to make them sound amazing.
I don't understand who complains about the price! I went to 6 laser dermatologists, and they turn out to be all roughly same cost. They all have their own ways. A different dr. Told me I need 10 treatments and each treatment was cheaper. But I found that dr.rippler said 3 treatments and I'll be good as new. So it ended up costing much less for half the time with better FDA approved lasers. So I am having an awesome experience!
I can't believe my dream day is fast approaching and I actually have rid of my acne scars! I can't believe it! I could say this 1000x ! I can't believe it! I am thankful I didn't wait, but I hate myself for not going earlier. I am not going to wear any makeup! Dr. Rispler is a guru! He literally took control of the wheel in my acne journey, and within 6 weeks. I can't believe it... It is a dream come true. It was worth the money. I would've just wasted thousands of dollars on Products that don't work. Just ... thank you so much. You have changed my life.
I have actually been to 3 of their locations on different occasions for different treatments. I first discovered this dermatologist for laser tattoo removal about 6 years ago in irvine.
My major concern was that I did not want any scars. Also I read online that skin tone is a major concern. Since I have a darker skin tone I was worried whether I was going to get the right treatment. I think LDI is doing a great job helping only those who are serious about getting quality treatment. I had only 4 laser treatments for my tattoo without any scars at all and it is completely gone. LDI had a specific laser for tattoo removal just for my skin tone.
I was completely satisfied with my results that I went back to LDI for acne scar treatment. Okay, this laser hurts when you are not expecting it so now be warned and expect it. The nurse that did this laser on me warned me, but i didn't believe her. Honestly, it was only around the upper lip area that hurt . I did only one treatment of the fractional CO2 at the Covina office near my work. The results were great with only one treatment and I felt like I didn't need anymore.
Then 2 years ago I got married to a beautiful woman who had perfect skin when I met her, but after a year she started breaking out. I decided to take her to my dermatologist Dr. Rispler at LDI. Wow the doctor was so compassionate and instructed her to change certain behavorial things such as shampoo and so forth. She listened to every instruction without deviating and her acne was gone completely after 3 laser treatments in 2 1/2 months. I saw it improve immediately. She does get a pimple here and there when her hormones are out of whack. Now all she has do is see the Doc once a year and use a mild face cleanser that she gets from LDI. So take it from a real patient that understands what everybody is going through and the tough decisions you have to make when picking a doctor. The truth is Dr. Rispler is the best and has been my personal dermatologist for many years.
I have never left feedback online for anything before, but after attending a consultation here this afternoon, I felt I had to sign up for this site to warn other people about this terrible terrible place.
I have a small scar on my forehead from an accident a few months ago that I was looking to get improvement on. When I first arrived I filled in some paper work and was taken into a 'consulation room' where the doctor came in and was accompanied by a man in a suit. He took one look at my small scar (about 2cm in length) and said I should expect to see about a 50% improvement from the laser treatment and then went outside to discuss how much it would cost. The Dr was in the room for about 20 seconds. The man in the suit then came back in, and said it would take 3 laser treatments that would cost me $5,000. I was totally gobsmacked. I then asked which lasers he planned to use and how far apart the 3 treatments would be, and he said he wouldn't tell me until I paid the money. I then pressed him a little harder, saying I wasn't comfortable paying the money until he told me exactly what I was paying for! He then muttered something about probably using a yag laser. I then mentioned how I had been quoted $80 for a single yag treatment at a plastic surgeon's and that $5k seemed a little steep. I was then told in a stern voice to either pay or leave - so I promptly left!
It angers me so much that people like this are out there conning people and are obviously solely driven by money, with little or no interest in actually helping a patient. If you're reading this you'll probably notice that a lot of the reviews on here are positive and seem to give the institute 5 stars. Take a moment to click on each of the profiles that have recommended this place, and you'll see that each reviewer has only ever left feedback on Dr Rispler and his various institutes and is clearly a fake profile that has been created either by the Doctor or his staff. There's not a single genuine reviewer on here that has ever left feedback for any other product/service!
The people who run this place and put fake reviews online to try and trick vulnerable people into paying extortionate amounts of cash are dispicable and should be utterly utterly ashamed of themselves. I only hope by posting this review that others may read my honest experience of this place, and avoid ever having to set foot in there.

Excellent services provided. Top notch quality care.
My experience has been five stars. I have no more acne scars, it only took 4 laser treatments. I had acne scars for 12 years on my face, and it took 3 months for everything to go away.
Wonderful experience with Dr. Rispler as well. A true guru of skin.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I woke up one morning, my face was so itchy. I scratched it so hard. I ended up with small holes in my face for many years. Recently I found out the mole on my face is cancerous. I sought the treatment from dr.rispler, and in one day I can't believe he reversed the many years of damage. The lasers didn't even hurt, and I only have to go one more day next month. I will update you also then. So far I highly recommend a physician with state of the art lasers and many years of experience to get it done right the first time.
I have high high standards. When I first went to my free consultation, I was skeptical, of course. I couldn't be happier with my treatments, and the whole process. I went it for my acne scars, and fine lines around the eyes. Long story but I used AHA 8% cream and I was instructed to use it around my eyes from a beautician. LDI really gave me the second chance I needed! Truth be told, I will never fall prey to products that don't work. In the end, lasers are the answer! I really think highly of LDI, the whole process so easy!
I must say, I need to tell everyone. I am actually really shy, but I can say this online. I just wanted to tell everyone, that LDI is really really a professional acne laser center. I had adult acne, and in three treatments, you wouldn't believe my results. It's just phenomenal. I can't explain it. i suffered for so long . It is unbelieveable. I am so excited. It's like I have a new life. I am crying so much, because I believe I am so lucky to find the right people at the right time.
thank you LDI
I am West Indian, so usually we have really nice skin. However, I am one of the few that have too much sweat glands, therefore I am always sweating from my face, and also, my pores are enlarged because of it. In the recent years, I found that due to hormonal activity, the pores would get trapped by sebum, and therefore, I would get severe acne patches. LaserHQ, I heard on the radio, and they said no matter what skin condition, and to come in for a free consulation. So of course I tried them out. Well, its been 4 and a half months, and its impossible that was me just a couple of months ago. I have no more excessive sweating. My pores are not even there anymore. I didn't ever dream it was this simple. Anywayz this is really the place to go for, for your skin conditions. I wholeheartedly believe in them. Thank you LaserHQ.
First Class, Laser Dermatologist Facility. I've been to Laser Center's around the world, and none of them could get to the root source, as Dr. Rispler was quick to identify. He knew immediatley I have a rare skin condition. My brown spots keep growing on my face and they never stopped. It looks like I have a mask on my face. However, the previous laser facilities I've been too, seem to be quick fixes and painful. The major difference between LDI I noticed, was the treatment procedure, the way in which it was conducted, and the aggressive treatment approach Dr. Rispler was not afraid to use. He does have state of the art lasers, I was surprised because I searched for this particular laser, and tracked it down here next to my actual city. I have been flying all over the world to get treatments, and if I just looked here, I would've found it earlier. I have completed all of my treatments except for one. And my face has never looked so clean. It is a milky white, no brown spots, no masks. Dr. Rispler said I won't need another laser treatment for 10 years after this. I am ecstatic, and want everyone to know the kind of service I have received. Excellent service, excellent dermatologist, great value.
After my divorce settlement, I was bed ridden for quite a few months. I decided to go on jenny Craig, and get a face lift. I discovered lasers are pretty painless, and less cost than an actual face lift. So I tried LDI, because they were all over the freeway on my way to work. I just can't believe what a new person I looked like. I look atleast 15 years younger. It took 3 treatments, and I met my ex last week, and he was shocked. I told him that it was because we divorced that I felt rejuvanated. I think that did it.
My Experience with L.D.I. Laser & Dermatology Institute of Calif. and Jacob Rispler
After hearing the radio ads for "free no cost consultation", I made an appointment at Dr. Rispler's Beverly Hills office for 11-16-2009. The initial consultation involved a "salesman", who I originally thought was the Dr. , no introduction was given. Then Dr. Rispler came in for a short time and they left the room. I asked several questions and the Salesman would go out and come in. I said $8500 was a considerable amount of money for three laser treatments and I would have to give it some thought. He then left and came in with brochures and went into this long sales pitch , the Dr. would be using very sophisticated lasers and spending so much time and the results would be excellent. I said that I wanted to check references before making a commitment. He then went out and came back in and engaged in a "stare down". At the time, I did notice how nice the staff's skin looked and that is what prompted me to give the girl my American Express card. I signed paperwork and was then told I would have the 1st treatment right then. I was taken aback as I thought it would be scheduled later. A young girl waved a "wand" over my face for approximately 5 minutes. I asked her what this did and she told me I would not see results for at least 6-8 months if then. I asked why the Dr. did not do the procedure, she said, "he doesn't do them". I asked if would be doing the next two and was told , no the Staff did all of the procedures.(?)
I left the office quite "numb". I had given them my credit card for a $8500 charge for 3 laser treatments to be done with "sophisticated " laser equipment and by a Dr. Only to have the initial treatment with a simple "wand" that may or may not do anything for 6-8 months and have the additional 2 treatments by some staff member. This was not was I was sold. I felt sick to my stomach. I did check the internet and saw the many unfavorable opinions of this office and Dr. I called the office immediately when it opened at 8 am. I said that I did not want to continue with the treatments and wanted to cancel the agreement. The Office Mgr went "ballistic" and said that I would owe them $4500 for the treatment the prior day. I said for what, "a 5 minute wand on the face that wasn't explained properly?". I contacted American Express and entered into the dispute with this Dr. This Dr. wrote to American Express stating the following about me, "disingenuous, lied, trying to scam out of a free laser treatment, etc". They stated that I owed $4500 for that initial "free" consultation and I was due the remaining $4000. Amex closed the case as I had signed the charge slip. At that point, I expected Dr. Rispler to at least refund $4000 of the $8500 since I canceled the 3 treatments and was due a refund.
However, they decided to keep the entire $8500. I immediately (within 13 hours) canceled the agreement verbally and in writing. So, this "free consultation" now cost $8500.
I did write a complaint to the California Medical Board regarding the false advertising and my experience. I was told to contact the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office regarding this case. They told me American Express absolutely should not have paid Dr. Rispler and I should re-request a refund from them. They get involved in cases over $300,000, but do maintain files of complaints. I again requested American Express review this case.
At this point, I knew my only change of getting any of my money back was to go to Small Claims Court. I did have a court case March 22. The judge ruled in my favor, ordering Rispler to pay me approximately $5100. Although, the Judge stated the paperwork was "misleading" and did not state that anyone other than the Dr. would be doing the treatment, she granted $3500 for that "initial" laser treatment. L.D.I. had
30 days to pay. On April 22, 2010, I still had not received my return of money due. However, I did receive a certified notice that I had to pick up from the Post Office. So, this office kept my entire $8500 since 11-16-2009. They stated I was entitled to a refund of $4000. After the court deciding in my favor, he chose to wait the entire 30 days to issue a check by certified mail?
Excellent 5 star Laser Dermatologist.
As picky as I am, I was pleased to see that they had all FDA approved lasers. This was very very important to me. Not only did they have their foundation set right, they had a fantastic Dr, who really knows the correct procedures for skin types.
I have also recommended my teenage nephew here, and he is on his third treatment. Funny enough, last week, he has his first girlfriend, and we are all meeting her next week.
My teenage son and daughter both got their treatments here. It took about 3-4 months, and it was great that they had 3 locations. It worked with my schedule. Also the Doctor was present each time. That was my main important issue. I also wanted to mention to any parents who have teens going through this terrible battle with acne. Do not resolve to accutane. Also, do not think it will go away. Actually, it keeps getting worse. See a dermatologist. One that you are comfortable with, and who you know will get the job done right with FDA approved equipment. That was a must for my decision. I did read a few bad reviews before I went, but I noticed every dermatology company that had FDA lasers had bad reviews as well. So I chose Dr. Rispler, and I am really happy that I did. My kids look so great. They don't blame my genes anymore, and that drove me crazy.
Money well spent. Thank you LDI
I went to the Irvine office today for my free consultation. I received two voice mails before my visit reminding me that I could start treatment today and get a discount. The staff at the front desk were friendly enough for a late Friday afternoon but the man in the suit ("Dr. Rispler's special assistant") was ridiculous! He made generic comments about acne (which you can find on WebMD) and then immediately launched into his sales pitch. I wish I had read the reviews here first because clearly this is his M.O. He started out saying it would cost about $9500 for 3-4 treatments but that I could get fewer treatments for about $7500. I couldn't believe it was that expensive. He wrote down a bunch of numbers and then kept circling them; never mentioning any discount. After he finally stopped talking I told him, "wow. That was overwhelming. And no offense, but I feel like I'm buying a timeshare." When I asked him if he had more concrete information about what it would cost, he pointed at the paper and said, "that's as concrete as it gets." I said thank you and promptly left. I was greeted on my way out (the back door) with "thank you" and "have a good weekend." All in all, the front office staff was pleasant enough but I couldn't believe someone who isn't even a doctor was sent in to evaluate my "condition" and then made me feel like I was buying a week in Boca. Save your money, take Vitamin C, get plenty of sleep, and drink your 8 glasses of water.

Okay, so I don't want to steer anyone in a certain direction. But I must say. I must not keep this a secret any longer. I have done LDI's lasers. 3 of them. All 3 for different conditions. Rosacea, Scars, and veins.
My favorite one, is the CO2 laser. This was my secret. I can't believe I am sharing this information. This laser is magic. It is a magic eraser. It gets rid of everything. I have no wrinkles. I have it all gone.
The only thing I have left is brown spots. My skin looked like an array of pigmented skin, full of scars, brown spots, acne, just whatever you can think of ... on top of that, on a red face. I honestly, decided to make the decsion NOW. No more tomorrow. And I am so happy that I did. It has changed my life eternally. It has done so much for me, you will never know. The truth and strength and power that a woman gets and feels, just from having a clear beautiful face. It has changed EVERYTHING.
No more do I have to wear makeup, foundation. EVERY DAY I had to do this!
It just exacerbated the problem even more, and more. A continous cycle. Just never changed.
ONLY WITH LASERS, and many different top quality kinds.
And the nice man, the doctor's assistant.. helped me so much... to make the decision today. He knew. just by looking at me, that I needed to change. He was my strength. I cried when I saw him the last time... He steered me right on the right path, and the Dr. He has changed my life forever.
That is why I am writing this. Or else, I would never ever publicize a review.
This is very personal and private to me.
Nobody should ever underestimate LDI. They obviously really know what they are doing.
THANK YOU LDI. I humbly say Thank you.

I feel like I should've read these reviews before I decided to go. I went because a friend of mine was treated for acne there and she had great results. I come to find out after reading the review that what I am paying is way too expensive. That guy that everyone is talking about is definitely a sales person. I went at a time when I was desperate to get rid of my acne and acne scars. I just wanted to hear that they were going to get rid of my acne. I do agree that the staff is very nice, bu so far I have only seen Dr. Riespler once and that was to hand me a bag of samples. I am currently paying off my $9500 bill for 4 treatments. But I will say that I will have my 3rd laser treatment next month and so far I see great results. I will go in to get my scars treated and I just hope that it works. I can't help but wonder if I could've gotten rid of the acne without paying so much money. I feel awful after hearing all the bad experiences because I wouldn't have given them my business if I had known. I hate to admit how desperate I was and this is what led me to sign up for $9500. Ouch!!! I guess I will let you know after I get my 4th treatment. I hope this actually works otherwise I will be totally bummed out, especially after paying so much $$ for it. I just hope now that it works and I don't start breaking out after I'm done with the treatment because I will be broke.

I have been suffering from light to moderate acne for several years now. I tried everything that my dermatologist recommended and nothing was working. The physical and emotional pain of acne is horrible and I became desperate. I'm highly educated, but I made a dumb move of not researching all of my options and went with LDI and Dr. Rispler.
The comments about the nice staff is true. The pushy salesman stories are true. Never seeing Dr. Rispler stories are true. Only being treated by his assistants is true. Seeing immediate results is true. Spending thousands of dollars is true.
But what I haven't heard anyone write about is how expensive the acne medications are on top of the laser treatments; and when your treatments stop you are no longer allowed to get your medications unless you pay $100 to see one of his assistants--not him--and pay for the medications on top of that.
When my treatments stopped the receptionist was rude with me. I was not aware that the follow-up appointment would be an additional charge and that it wouldn't be by Dr. Rispler. One of his sales people were trying to push more treatments on me when I already had 9, and they told me that would give me my desired results.
Not only that, but the lasers were just a temporary relief. The scars appeared lighter but the grater-like appearance is still there. I never felt comfortable to walk out of my house without make-up due to the appearance of the scars. The breakouts continued even with my regular dermatologist putting me on the same medications.
They also do not show pictures of results even when you ask. And the assistants talk about how they all do the treatments all of the time--all of the time? Normal people, like me, a teacher, cannot afford to be getting treatments all of the time. And to tell you the honest truth, two of the assistants that told me that still have the grater-like appearance in their skin, just not the discoloration of the scars.
Three years later, I still break out and now I have new scars on top of the old scars. Please save your money and learn from my mistake--stick to your insured dermatologist. Unless you can afford regular treatments for the rest of your life or are getting your treatments free because you promote him on the radio.

Hello, my name is Demi, I had suffered from acne breakouts every month. I was left with acne scars, and pock marks. I never knew that if I picked my pimples that it would leave me with scars. I went to Dr. Rispler at this laser and dermatology institute, because my mother got her face lasered for her wrinkles. Her results were beautiful, so she took me to the same Doctor. He really took care of me like a daughter, and I am so grateful. After just 3 treatments, even one of the cutest boys in my class asked me to the prom, and all the girls were jealous! I never ever told them I was getting treatments, they never even knew it. The best part is that there was no downtime for me, and none of the treatments hurt. I am just so grateful for this dermatologist, and I will recommend him to everyone I know. THANK YOU!!!
Terrible experience. I went for a free "consultation." The rude man who saw me BARELY looked at my skin. From about six feet away, he had me look up, then said, "Looks like you've got some acne and scarring." (Not thorough AT ALL). Then he proceeded to talk prices. He just threw numbers out at me. He sat there jotting down prices, scratching them out and circling things. He did not sound like he had any expertise regarding skin--he was very very vague. He never introduced himself or greeted me in any way. He said my starting price would be $8,500 for three-four sessions. I started to mention that was almost twice as much as what I'd compared online, so I'd have to price around. He cut me off and said rudely, "Well, I don't know what you're looking at online." (Obviously!) Then, he continued to treat me as if I did not know what I was talking about. So, I asked if he was a doctor (just to point out that he had not established any credibility with me). He said "I'm here on his behalf." I repeated the question. Same answer. (How could someone with no medical expertise determine what's best for a patient's skin?) Then my husband jumped in and asked to see someone else--someone not so rude. The man asked, "What are WE being rude about?" I said, "Not 'we,' YOU." He walked out, no apologies & sent in another staff member. She was nice...but too little too late. Save your money for someone who will actually appreciate your business and will treat with some courtesy.

Ok, so I finished my back and neck acne, starting with some help from ziana. Besides being called the miracle stuff. I went for my back and neck laser treatment, and I have taken photos of my back and neck. This stuff really works. I had major problems "genetically" I had acne full on my face and my back and neck, now my neck and back are all done, and this is the follow up I written from 3 months ago. I am almost all completed. My face acne never came back, now I have just two more treatments to go, and I am so sure that I don't even need to go back. It worked so fast on me, it is the best thing that ever happened to me.
I am writing this review today because I just finished my second treatment at LDI, I am so excited because I looked at myself in my car mirror and I couldn't stop smiling. I could actually smile at my self for the first time in years, without being disgusted at looking at my acne and scars in sunlight. Today is a new day, I feel like a brand new person. I have never felt better, and i just wanted to tell the whole world, that your FACE is #1 important to your mind, body, and soul. I highly recommend Dr. Rispler as your dermatologist, he is the best and has saved me from my misery.
I shopped around and found that LDI costs the same as any where else so don't buy the BS that other places offer the samething for cheaper prices. It's totally not the same service. The Doctor is always at this office and is very experienced. Dude sometimes the Doctor has to like control. You know. They are a genuine medical practice and has great services and the lasers were really quick and painless. I did laser treatments for acne and acne scars. It was totally easy and it worked. The staff is cool and really easy to get along with. Just beautiful peeps. I would say that only bad thing about this place is that I had to wait like 3 weeks at a time to get my next laser. i don't know whether its because my face had to recover. They said it was necessary but like I never had any burning or redness...I mean my friends didn't even know I was doing lasers. I also threw away all the stupid stuff that i bought before to fix my acne and acne scars. Dude total waste of money there. Don't need them anymore. The only other problem was yeah it was not that cheap. But like I said still cost the same at other places too. Oh and by the way you get what you pay for. This place had the best track record for years. Hope this really helps.

My name is xxx and I am writing this letter in regards to my laser acne treatment consultation that occurred at 6pm on July 13, 2009. I am exploring multiple treatment options, and I was referred to the Laser Dermatology Institute for its friendly staff and reputable treatments. During the two minutes that I was exposed to the office before being kicked out, I was exposed to a different side of the business: I was insulted, demeaned and called a liar.
After signing in and filling out the necessary paperwork, the receptionist led me to ??Consultation Room 1,? where I waited shortly before being exposed to the most humiliating treatment of my life. The only things in the room were the doctor??s business cards and a bottle of gauze. I picked up the card, put in my pocket and excitedly sat down, waiting to see the doctor.
I am a 21-year-old college student with mild acne at worst but from the verbiage used in regards to my face, you would think I was a mutant. Without shaking my hand, introducing himself or even seriously examining my face, I was told that, ??my face is already scarring? and ??shows signs of serious potential for permanent damage.? After that, the man sat down and got right down to business.
??Well see, your pores are producing too much sebum, and we need to get that under control.? Anyone who knows anything about acne would understand that this ??diagnosis? is the most general blanket statement that can ever be made about the cause of acne. In fact, this phrasing is on the back of every major over-the-counter acne product on the market. With this cover-all statement, he went straight into the numbers ?? it would cost $6500 for three rounds of treatment, which, of course, is not covered by insurance.
At this point, he explained to me that this was a price ??just between you and me? and encouraged me to start the treatments right away. He then stopped talking and looked to me expecting a response:
??I am exploring a lot of different treatment options at this point, and I had a few questions about the 1450nm laser that you use in your treatments.? At this point, he realized that I had done my research. ??I have read several medical journals through PubMed , and unfortunately none of them have detailed the effectiveness and permanence of the treatment past 1 year. Obviously, $6500 is a lot of money and I want to ---??
I was cut off.
??That is not true. These lasers have been around for a long time, and they are FDA approved.?
??I understand that, but there is no scientific evidence that the effects of these lasers is permanent and I was just wond---??
??You are wrong. Don??t believe everything you read on the Internet.?
??Okay, well can you please refer me to some studies that have been done so I can understand? And also, PubMed is a government sponsored organization in conjunction with the National Institute of Health and the National Library of Medicine.?
??Well, I??ve never heard of it and this isn??t a research laboratory and I??m not here to feed you facts. This is a doctor??s office. If you don??t want to be helped, get out.? There was a very clear sense of anger in his voice, and his tone was elevated to a point I am sure that the people in the hallway could hear our conversation. I hoped that someone else would realize how ridiculous it was.
At this point, he started to make his way to the door, opened it and forcefully said, ??The exit is right there. Get out!?
??Are you serious? There is no way this can be real.? In an outrage, he shut the door behind us and made sure that I got out. Conveniently, the staffers were blocking the hallway to the front exit so I was forced to use the back way. At that moment I realized that I probably wasn??t the first one to have gone through this humiliation.
In a fit of utter frustration and with tears running down my ??scarred? face, I exited the building and called my parents. After my father made a phone call to the office and asked to speak to the doctor that had just humiliated their son, he was informed that I had not actually seen the doctor.
When my parents relayed this message to me, I was speechless. Not only was I just humiliated and kicked out of an office, but it was done so by a completely ignorant, unqualified goon who misrepresented himself as a Medical Doctor. In the context that we spoke, there was no indication that I was speaking with anyone other than Dr. Rispler. After all, it was his business card on display and the moron who insulted me made no introduction. What was I supposed to think?
A fancy suite in a fancy zip code does not give you license to treat people this way.
You messed with the wrong ??acne scarred? kid.

Honestly everything was fine until i met the jerk in the suit.. he treated me like crap and acted liked i was a burden to him.. all he cared about was the money he wouldnt answer any of my questions he kept saying it was gonna costs 3400 a session which is crazy high but i still woulda probably done it if he wouldnt of treated me the way he did.. ive been to war 3 times for my country i have 2 purple hearts.. and some stranger who is supposed to help me treats me like that.. whatever if you read this i know your probably still gonna go cause your gonna think im like all the other people that complain (which im not) which is cool i know you probably just wanna see for yourself but i only ask that when you see im not liein when you go and you get treated like crap.. dont give someone like that your hard earned money..

highly disagree with the comment below. This is my first time ever even looking for reviews online! I came on here because I was going to read about Dr.Rispler, to see if he has written any books. But to my dismay, I can't believe people are complaining about price! That is truley unfair. My son had suffered bad burns from the Santa Ana fires, and he went to 4 different laser centers to get treated. NOBODY could do it. Even places where the Dr's weren't present, the nurses even turned us away. ONLY Dr. Rispler could treat him, fix him, and he is 100% back to normal, even way better before the burn. As a mother, almost losing my son in a deadly fire, and then having a Doctor's who could actually help and make a difference, is notable mention, and Dr. Rispler should be on the discovery channel.

i went there to get their free consultation for laser hair removal. here's my experience:
i entered the office and the nurses were really nice to me, no problem. i signed in and a nurse took me to an extra office room at the end of the hall, with two new sofa chairs. i waited for about 10 minutes, and began to notice how the walls were perfectly painted, the sofas, again, were REAL suede, the coffee table on the side was clearly not cheap either. then the consultant came in, and he was wearing a business suit. He quoted $8000 for the whole package, and then he tacked off $500 as a discount. pfft, some discount! So I decided to just go home and do some research, seriously it costs $3000 at MOST. and the consultant said that it'd take 6 treatments, what he didn't say was that it takes 6 treatments on AVERAGE, so later down the line he could have potentially suckered me into paying for 12 treatments (not to mention financing interest if you can't afford it). don't waste your money just so they can keep their suede sofas and pushy salesmen!

I just have to tell everyone who is reading this, it is worth it! SO worth it! I just want to tell everyone that I meet, but I won't be rude, so here is my way of telling everyone. The Lasers aren't the ones that will cure your acne. It is actually the knowledge & skill of the doctor. I am experienced at this! I am just so impressed at the skill of the Doctor, it is the first time I had these kind of results.
I have NO MORE ACNE!

Highly recommended! I am from India, and we women from India are hairy! It's no joke, when we pluck our chin hair, we get massive zits in the pores, and it is not pretty. At LaserHQ I got hair removal and then acne treatments, and scar treatments.
I look like Ashwariya Rai now! I have no more hair, probaby best of all, but no weird acne in the "beard" spot!

Honestly, I usually don't write reviews, but this time, I have to tell everyone about my personal experience at Laser Dermatology Institute. You know first thing is, I read all the reviews before my initial appointment. However, with reason, I could distinguish which ones were actually true and which ones were false. I noticed that they receive a lot of attention, so I knew that they would be the best candidate.
My condition: I have many sun spots, acne scars, combination skin, hormonal acne, and a never ending cycle, that only leaves my skin clear for a few days. I knew I couldn't live like this anymore, and that is why I opted to go for laser treatments.
I am not a vain person, I like to think I am quite humble in fact. Anyhow, when I first went in, I was afraid to meet the guy that everyone talks about. I actually met the staff, and when I did, I was really bewildered, because what I had thought, was totally not what I experienced. I was treated with respect and concern, and the treatments were not cheap, so I said I will be back and decided to continue shopping. I went to a couple of other places, which, I won't even mention their names, but they ended up being the same price! And when I tried walking out the door, they immediatley offered me 50% discount. I hated that fact. I knew something wasn't right, so I walked out anyway. For the same price, and the reputation, I went to obviously the place with the most experience. I went to Dr. Rispler, at LASERHQ. I couldn't be happier with my decision, because based on the reviews, I would've never thought, that my experience would actually be this different from what others are claiming. Even after my first laser treatment, I noticed significant improvement. It was perfectly done, and the Dr. was extremely skilled, he just knew 100% what he was doing without a doubt. And when it comes to the face, that is really the way it should be done.
8 days ago, was my very last treatment. For the very first time, I went out to my dry cleaners and local grocery store, without absolutley no makeup whatsoever. When I was in the bread section, a lady came up to me, and she said, your skin is amazing, what cream do you use? I was stunned, and I took the compliment in a humble manner, but of course, I gave all the credit to LASERHQ. She said ran to the front clerk, and asked for a pen, ran all the way back to me, and made sure she wrote it all down.
I just cannot believe somebody made the effort to write down the information, at the grocery store! I was so happy, I kept looking at my reflection in any window, even the milk carton window! And I just want to shout "I AM FREE!!" And I have beautiful skin!
Finally! I would do this over and over again, and would only choose LASERHQ to do the job.
I hope everyone reads my story, and believes that there is a way to get beautiful skin. There is actually a solution out there. You just have to be in the best of hands, otherwise, you are asking for trouble! I hope I can inspire all you out here, who don't know what to do, and where to go to... Please, do what I did. You will not believe and regret your decision. Because the most important factor, is the outcome of your skin, and to even be told by peers, you do in fact have beautiful skin.
Much Love xoxoxoxoxoxo
Betty. "don't hate me cause I'm beautiful.... Now."

If you are reading these reviews, then you are like me. I wanted to make sure that this company was good before I went in for their free consultation. LET ME SAVE YOU THE TIME AND MONEY. At their consultation, I didn't like their pricing and thought that they were ripping me off. Let me tell you what is really a rip off; getting services that don't work. I was like you shopping around and I bought services from 2 different places: one place claimed to be a dermatologist and another was a MED SPA. I wasted a ton of money on those places to find that there is a major difference between laser treatments and lasers. The real waste of time and money was committing to 6 months of time and 8 laser treatments from a company that pretends to have comparable laser. Oh yes, the other places were really nice people until your last treatments they can't wait to kick you out the door. I know the treatments were sub par now because my acne scars were not reduced or improved at all. Who cares about great customer service when you still have acne scars. I would rather have results. I came back to these people to get it done from them and yes my acne scars improved with only 4 treatments. You will see for yourself when you go to the other places.
Let me warn you that other places are using their name to sell you sub grade services and lasers at even a cheaper price and that is what you are getting; a cheaper laser treatment.
If you ask me, I can see for myself that a few negative reviews were written by those other places to fool you and me.
By the way, I was not the only one that went here to fix what the other places screwed up. During my visits, I have heard of several people coming from other places complaining about their services from even the places that I have visited. I am not an unusual case. Those other places are just scam.
Look, do you go to a DENTIST to FIX YOUR EYES? Then why would you go to anybody else besides a dermatologist to fix your skin? It just makes sense right? For me NOW it does. I didn't think before and I was screwed. So don't get screwed. And if you want laser treatments, you have to go to a place that specializes with lasers.
Honestly, the treatments are not that cheap. If you can't afford it right now, then don't go to the free consultation. Even if you want to finance the treatments, you have to know that it is really what you want and ready to make payments every month to pay off your treatments. My credit is good and so I did the financing and I am finally happy with my treatments.
So really do your research about these companies. You will see what I am talking about. Good Luck!

First of all, I am starting a blob, that is documenting everything I am going through. Stage by stage. I have continued to take pictures throughout this whole ordeal. I always thought, I'm way too old for this, it's just my hormones, it will subside. NO. It just kept getting worst. So, I finally admit to myself, I need the extra help. Just like when I had to quit smoking, I had to admit to myself I needed Nicolette, any help...But honestly, for the face, I knew that I had to choose the right place. A place where they won't burn my sensitive skin.... A place where I won't have to go to another for re-fix.I took new pictures today of my face in the sun. When I uploaded it to my computer, I started to compare the pictures. i just can't believe how much my skin has changed. I didn't notice it in the mirror, but the pictures really show the detail. Which I will of course include in my blog.LDI, the Doctor and the nurses, are really amazing. Within two months, from suffering from this disease for two- three years... they have changed my life. I find myself smiling in the car mirror during sunlight hours again. What a relief. Whew~ It is the age of healing, and I totally believe in this medical laser practice. * about the bad reviews... I just get really annoyed because they obviously didn't do any treatments right? They just complain about rudeness? Are you kidding me? They dont understand the bigger picture, and what these people do to treat people. something and some place that really works. Trust me, I am 100% honest and real person, I wouldn't even waste my time on writing a review if it wasn't worth it.

Laser Dermatology (LaserHQ) seems like they are from the future. It was not painful at all. I have no longer acne scars, and I just finished my 4th treatment. I think the staff is super cool, not to mention, there was a guy there that was super hot. LOL! I was so embarrassed when they asked me to take off my makeup, but honestly, I don't even need it anymore. Really really works!

I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!! I was seen in their Irvine office and had a series of six sessions total over several months. Never once was I seen by Dr. Rispler, just by some physician's aide. I spent thousands of dollars and did not achieve the results they promised. Furthermore, they tried pressuring me into getting another series of 6. When I called the office manager to complain, she said I should take them to court and that the doctor would be happy about that. She was the rudest person I've ever met!

Very skeptical about laser. Realized that it was not just the lasers, it was the medical staff that cured my acne. First off, I thought that I was only going to receive laser treatments. So I got a combination of lasers done. I can't tell you what. It's like very hush hush. Almost like a secret they don't want people to know. I asked and they didn't tell me the laser names. They just said what frequency or some scientific terminology. I think that they are using so many different lasers on me and it seems that they are not concerned about the brand names or what the machines can do. They seemed more concern about what they can make the machines do. Do you know what I mean? I did take a peek and saw some the names like smoothbeam and mixto. Too many lasers. Oh my gosh. And there was this huge machine that did an amazing job on my acne scars. I couldn't rave enough about it. In total, I did 5 laser treatments. Well, let me get to the point. The entire program for my face was a complete regimen. It was not just lasers. They gave me some cleansers and other medical grade stuff that I think really cured my acne all together. Dr. Rispler was always at the office. Although he is like running around. I felt very comfortable knowing that I was getting a Dermatologist looking after me and offering the best in medicine and technology for me. Overall, a great and rewarding experience.

My face is clear, clean, and not so oily. I have had clear skin now for 6 months and no acne in sight. I was very concerned about laser treatments because I kinda feared the possible long term effects. I am truly glad that I got treatment for my acne and now I am more confident and more as people have said, glowing. The office is high class and trustworthy. I felt confident and comfortable with the entire staff. It only took 3 treatments for me. At first I only purchased 1 treatment and my acne improved quite a bit. I discussed with them that I wanted to continue on with more treatments and bought the next 2 upfront. They also suggested to use a laser to smooth out my skin. Maybe I will go back after the new year.

All the negative reviews are completely true. I am a nurse I initially went in for treatment of acne/scars and freckles the salesman said that the treatment would include the removal of freckles also known as a photofacial, but after 8 treatments the said they were done never adressing the freckles. Its been a year since my treatments at the beverley hills office and i still get acne as i use to get the only difference now is that I have a huge bill to pay. Luckily I refinanced that high interest loan. I wish I had read the reviews sooner, the only reviews they have are the ones from radio personalities I am certain they received a discount for giving the treatments praise.

I am a highschool teacher and let me tell you. The kids aren't the only ones who gets bullied. I decided to put this issue to rest, and finally get my acne scars removed. I didn't know it would be such a big impact on my teaching career. But I didn't know also that there was a bigger impact when you try an excellent physician and top brand lasers. It has really improved the quality of life that I am living, at home, at school, -- everywhere.
i noticed my results on the third day of my treatment. Fantastic!

I went to the free consultation and felt a little pressured to buy. I gauked at the price and they were about to kick me out. I'm glad that I didn't leave though. I seen all the diplomas and degrees on the wall when I walked into the hallway and that they really did have all the laser machines that I read about. I wanted to know what they were going to do on my face. I told them to give me a minute because they were going to cut the price by 10 percent. Then I told them that I was ready to buy. They made it easy to sign up for a payment plan and I thought yes, I can do that. Once I signed my life away all of a sudden they just opened up to me. Like a 180 turn. I got my first treatment done that day. After a week I noticed a major improvement on my acne. My face was feeling a bit dry, but felt really good. In total I did 4 treatments with like 8 different lasers and some really good face cleanser. I wish they sold this cleanser on the market. I would tell everyone to buy it. My last treatment was with a laser that was phenomenol. I wished I took down the name of that laser. It made my face look brand new. My acne is gone and my tiny little acne scars are gone too. Just in time for New Years.

I had bad acne and done treatments here. My last laser was 1 week ago with a CO2 that really made a huge difference. I loved the results and I am acne free and acne scars free. Major improvement to my overall skin complexion and my skin is so smooth.
