Traci for D1 Salon

I was highly impressed by the high reviews and decided to go in to have my roots done and a cut... long story short she said she would not erase my high lights when doing my roots and she erased to about 2 1/2' from my roots which i had done 3 weeks prior she apologized but said she could re do them at no charge in two weeks..and i strictly said NO layers any now i have layers they are well done however thats not what i wanted! i will most certainly not be returning !!! $280 gone to the trash!!! i do not seen to see how she has this many good reviews! _ Vanessa

I came in with very damaged hair from trying to color/bleach it on my own. Tracy sat and listened to me tell her what I did before and where I wanted to go with my color. She gave me a great conditioning treatment which brought it back to life. She then somehow gave me a great style with all the breakage I had from the past few months. I came back later and she corrected my color and gave me a really pretty blonde base with highlights. Now my hair is healthy and I love the color! I get compliments all the time. Tracy was great. Her years of experience and natural talent has made me her customer for life!

Traci's description says that she specializes in creative hair design and that is absolutely true. I have hair that doesn't behave normally -- it's fine, curly in places, straight in places, wavy in places -- and I also prefer haircuts that are "different," plus I can't stand blowdrying my hair or doing any maintenance at all -- i just want a hairstyle that will allow me to wash my hair, throw in a little goop, walk out the door and have it air dry and look good. Put all that together and as you can imagine, I have a hard time finding the right haircut. But Traci gave me a really creative, unique haircut. She really listened to what I wanted and tailored the cut to my hair, my preference and my facial structure. When I asked for something that wouldn't work, she told me and explained why, which I really appreciate. Plus she cut my bangs short, which no one ever wants to do, and she made it look good. I'm very happy with Traci and am so glad I found her.

Due to Tracy's new evening hours I have a great new hairstyle!. Everyone thinks I look 10 years younger! I am so happy Tracy's has evening hours available. The color if great!!

I was new to the Long Beach area a couple years ago and went to Traci on a recommendation from a friend. Needless to say, I now live 30 miles away and still go back to get my haircut and color - Traci listens to what you are looking for in a haircut/color and everytime, without fail, I end up with a fabulous haircut and highlights. Thanks Traci and see you in 6 weeks!

I took a HUGE leap of faith when I made an appointment to get my hair cut with Traci. I had been a sales rep for Salons, here in Long Beach for many years, and, have had my hair done by many. I was looking for a change in salons, and, although D1 was one of my accounts years ago, I had never met Traci, or really knew anything about her. I read a few reviews, and thought why not. The best thing I like about Traci, is she listens. I have been very impressed with Traci, and, continue to follow her. Although she had moved recently to a very nice salon, and, now back to D1, it's not about the Salon...it's really about Traci. I would recommend Traci to anyone looking for precision in haircutting, and and overall wonderful stylist!

In Oct 2008 I went to a salon in Brea to get a sophisticated short cin-lenth layered haircut after many years with long hair. It was the worst hair cut I have ever had- I had chunks missing out of sections of my hair and layers that didn't match on both sides. Needless to say, it was bad and I was desperate to find a stylist who could save my hair.

Traci saved my hair! Even though the layers hadn't completely grown out yet, I went to Traci in Jan 09 to see if she could fix my hair. She did more than fix it, she made a miracle out of it! I left her chair that day with the absolute best bob I've ever had - it was sleek, sophisticated (everything I had wanted from my first haircut!).

I would never go to anyone else but Traci. I have another appointment with her tomorrow morning and hopefully I can get rid of any semblance of my terrible haircut I had prior to finding Traci. She has got a gift!

My daughter's hair was completely destroyed by a horrible student at the LA Beauty School. Even the head of the school could not repair it. Jennifer always had long hair and hated the idea or short hair.

I brought her to Traci. Traci gave her the cutest cut. Jennifer loved it so much she wants to keep the cut. It is so cute, bouncy and looks like she walked out of a Beverly Hills Salon.

I never thought something so cute could come out of the horrible mess that we brought to her.

Traci is a magician and an artist!!!!!

I've been going to Traci for color and cut for close to 3 years and I couldn't be happier. I never fail to get compliments on my color, even from strangers. I'll be forever in her debt for helping me grow my hair from very short to its current very long.

Traci is professional, fun and incredibly good at her job. She is always willing to offer advice or suggestions but never takes over. Can't recommend her highly enough.

WE MOVED TO THE LONG BEACH AREA RECENTLY AND TRACI IS THE 1ST STYLIST I TRIED. I FOUND HER TO BE PROMPT, COURTEOUS, CONCERNED AND A GREAT COLORIST AND HAIR CUTTER. One of the first times I saw Traci I cut my very long hair super short--and LOVED it. She gives fab shampoos and always gives me the cut I asked for or better. She has also colored my hair expertly (every color from blond to red to brown) & has been sensitive to my needs (how long I'm willing to spend on my hair, etc.). I keep going back to Traci not only because she does my hair so well but also because she had built a personal relationship with me and my mom who is also her client. She is very funny and sweet and does excellent work!

I've trusted plenty of "rave" reviews on City Search which only contributed to my hair nightmare of the past 2 years. I must have been to 7 different hair dressers from Umberto to Bella, defunct Koru (we know why!) and Atlantic to some of the "highly recommended" local stylists who continually reinforced the crappy hack I had job over and over again.

Traci was different. She listened. Not only did she listen, she actually did what we agreed on. She knew I wanted to grow my hair and did not allow her scissors to go crazy on my head. Little by little, the mess is sorting out and I finally have a little style while I'm going through the tedious growing process. I am very impressed with Traci and would recommend her highly.

She was able to fix my hair and cut it nicely after I have been butchered by the LOFT and Pygmailion.
Another Salon I tried was just ok. Traci listened to me and took my input and then added her expertise and oy evay My hair is going to be ok. IT will take probably 2 more visits wevery 2 months to get it cleaned up, but thank god I finally found her....really sweet level headed young lady who deserves the respect she is getting.

I am a Beverly HIlls expat who has been to Juan Juan, Umberto, Harashi, you name it....I know good hair people. She is it.....Thanks Traci. See you soon.

I'm a new mom and for those of you new moms out there can agree the need to pamper ourselves. My hair needed total rescuing: fading color, dry, unmanageable in short it was lifeless and no style whatsoever. I was a little hesitant to get a highlight since I was afraid of streaky unnatural highlights.. Traci did a fabulous job blending the highlights as if it was a natural streak of my new natural looking haircolor..Also I usually just get a straight trim, but Traci assured me that I will look good with a little layers, she delivered and my hair looks great!!! It 's manageable yet stylish.. who said that we new moms should look crappy...:) Thank you Traci..

i have been going to d'aversa d1 salon for about 2 years now... my friend recommended traci to me at first and now im in love with her! she is one of those hairstylists that actually REALLY LISTENS to what you want! and you will get it! sadly, my mom convinced me to try a different hairstylist (her own) and i was so depressed that they ruined my hair.. i went back to traci right away!! i felt so bad (AND STUPID) for even letting anyone else do my hair!!! traci fixed it of course, and i will never stray again! she is my favorite hairstylist EVER and i've been to so many hair places... traci is GREAT!

I recently moved to the Long Beach area and needed to find a hair salon close to my house. I had been driving back to my previous stylist in the south bay. I do not know many people here yet and tried to ask around and see if anyone knew a hair salon in the area-no luck! So I did some research on the internet and found D1 salon and such positive reviews on Traci. This was not my first choice in how to pick a new stylist, but she had such wonderful reviews and it was close to where I live. I called Traci and left a message and she called right back and she met me for a quick consultation. I am a blond and I wanted to make sure she could work magic with my color. Traci has great energy and was very knowledable about hair color. I made an appointment and she worked magic-my hair looked perfect! The color was the best I have ever had. I get compliments from everyone I know on how fantastic my color is and the hair cut. I can not say enough about how pleased I am with my hair color and cut. Traci is a great!!! I was very happy that I took a chance using City search to find a new hair salon and stylist! I have found one in Traci!

It's been a while since I've found a hair stylists who I could trust with my cuts. After reading the reviews I wanted to see what Traci at D1 Salon could do with my hair. She did just want I wanted. I showed her a picture of a similar type of look that I was aiming for, with a few variations, and she gave me just that. She listened to what I wanted and made sure that I liked my cut. I already booked another appointment with her for my highlights! If you're looking for a hair stylist or just want to try someone different, I suggest you schedule an appointment with Traci. I love my hair and I feel like a different person.

I really don't know where to start, but off the top of my head..."I LOVE MY HAIR!!!" I read the previous reviews about Traci at D1 Salon in long beach, highly recommended!! I went in hating my hair and she was like a "hair angel" a bit cheezy i know, but its true. The only thing I could complain about is the parking, but thats only because its under cionstruction. Everything else was perfect! The reception was very sweet, the place was clean. ~TRACI 4 D1 SALON ~ GO THERE!

Okay..where to do I start? I met Traci probably about 4 years ago, in Encinitas. She was working at a Salon there, and I was loyal to my hairdresser...but kept looking at the beautiful hair that left Traci's chair time after time! She was well-respected by her peers, too, and I always wished SHE was my hairdresser, but didn't want to be disloyal to my present hairdresser! Well...I heard she was moving to Long Beach, and I was about to move up to orange County, and thought about making the trek up north..but still was loyal to my then-hairdresser! As life would have it, I eventually moved up to Long Beach and immediately set out to find Traci!! To add to that irony, I then found Traci accidentally--on the internet at a salon she used to work at, through another Traci who knew this one!! Well, that was over a year ago, and since then, I have had 3 different hairstyles, and have gone lighter, then darker, then lighter, then darker... and she's been with me all the way, turning out gorgeous color, and fun, easy, and age-related hair! I 'm almost 52, but Traci gives me what I want with a little youthfulness to keep it from being "old lady!" ha ha! It's always easy to style afterward too, and I always get compliments on my hair--always!! PLUS--She is easy to talk to about anything and has become a friend! I think the girls up front are generally quite friendly, and if someone walks up when they're having a discussion--because they're FRIENDS and GET ALONG!!-- well, don't be so quick to judge---geezzz!! The environment is certainly more than acceptable-- and Traci DOES LISTEN WONDERFULLY!!! You just have to be clear, and then listen to her repeat it, and say "yes" or "no"! ((i'm sorry, I'm loyal to her artistry and can't believe that one bad review--give me a brrreak!!) I ALWAYS HAVE GREAT HAIR WITH TRACI--bottom line! And..it's easy to style afterward! See Traci--Your hair will thank you!!

I like to spend good money on jeans and haircuts, and find everything else on sale. In other words, I've been to many expensive salons, despite my tendency to be cheap, and Traci is the best of both worlds. Previous reviews have noted her as "pricey," however, I've been to much pricier and don't feel any superiority in service. Other reviews also say the salon is in need of "updating," but is 2005 out of date? There's nothing wrong with the facility, and the staff couldn't be nicer.

I was referred to Traci by a friend, and have been with her ever since. I even got my boyfriend to go to her, and he's cheaper than me! But he admits that the quality of the cut is more than worth it. She listens to what you want (or think you want anyway) but isn't afraid to give her professional opinion, which is sometimes the most important aspect of the cut. Additionally, she's friendly, talkative without being overbearing, and really puts you at ease, which completes the experience. I used to dread going to the hairdresser, afraid I'd leave unhappy, but that's never been the case.

Anyway, I could go on indefinitely about Traci, but why should I when you could find out for yourself? I absolutely recommend her... I don't think you will be disappointed!

I've probably been going to Traci for close to 2 years. I actually followed her to D1 from another salon so that shows my commitment to her. I've never had a bad service or style from her. In fact she's taken me from blonde to black and back to blonde with some red in between and my hair is still attached to my head! I love the way she does highlights,instead of seeing a head-full of stripes, you just see an overall "glow". Traci always listens to what I have to say and I'm always open to her input and suggestions. In fact, now I pretty much just let her do what she wants cause I know she won't let me look bad. I have also referred 3 friends to her, all of whom have been very satisfied with her services.

I had booked an appointment with Traci, but almost cancelled when reading the last reveiw. However, since most of the negative was about the greeters and not Traci, I decided to go ahead. She did listen, and I had a real color problem that needed to be fixed. Well, my color now looks natural, and my hair feels great. It was pricey, but I found it worth it, especially since a lower-priced hairdresser is who messed up my hair in the first place! I will definitely be back! Thank you Traci

I've been a customer of Traci's for over 2 years now. I stay with her because I get the best cut, color and style I've ever had. She listens to what you want your hair to look like, and how you want it to behave, and that's what you get. After I'd been going to her awhile, I gave her carte blanche - said to surprise me - and I got the best style ever - it suits my facial features so well that I've had strangers stop me and tell me how great I looked. I love that she uses Aveda products - my hair is completely healthy, soft, and natural feeling, even though I color it. I highly recommend her!

Pros: Ample parking, good service at the salon. Offered wine, soda, water, etc. Traci is on-time, but you never feel rushed.

Cons: Salon does not have the most stylish decor.

I went to D1 Salon for an appointment based on the review i read from another user.....my hair needed serious help, i tried to go blonde myself and wound up looking like a canary. Traci spent 5 hrs fixing the color and i can't even believe that its the same head of hair, it looks amazing and dosen't feel damaged at all! I was especially impressed with the measures taken to preserve the health and integrity of my hair. Seriously, i LOVE my hair. It was a little on the expensive side but i guess that's the going rate for corrective color. I will definately be going back!

i went to see traci on a recommendation. (good sign people) i decided it would be best to set up a consultation first because i really wanted to see if we were going to be on the same page. when she met me for my consultation, she seated me and offered me a beverage and sat down in front of me and asked me what i was looking for. suggestions i said. and she reflected for a moment and then asked me what i did for a living, was i especially active, how often do i spend styling my hair, did i want my color to whisper, talk, or shout (meaning what kind of statement i wanted to make with my color) and was i willing to commit to maintaining my color. from my answers to these questions, and the natural texture of my hair she determined that a cut about 2 inches below my shoulders with cascading layers and a soft, face framing fringe that would start and my cheekbone would probably suit my lifestyle best, something that could be both professional and playful. she then began to tell my how she would highlight my hair using a patttern customized for me ( i was honest and told her that i didn't want to come every 6 weeks and im a runner so my hair is in a ponytail all the time) by the time i came in for my actual appointment i totally trusted her, and then i was amazed and the end result. you can't tell where the highlights start..there are no lines, and its so natural looking. when i pull my hair straight back it actually looks like it grew out of my head that color!!! iv'e been to my fair share of upscale salons and i know what to look for in a stylist.. her technique was flawless, and when she was finished i felt ready to walk the runway......a good blowdry style after a cut and color is really important to me. i want to look like i just left a salon. totally worth the money. i found my new stylist!!! plus, the staff was so friendly and there was plenty of parking!!! i highly recommend traci!
