  • Pastries & Cakes From Scratch
  • Sandwiches To Die For

Toni's Bakery & Cafe is a family-owned and operated business that has served Los Angeles, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Atwater, Glendale & surrounding areas for almost 80 years. Next time you stop by, ask Toni for a tour of our kitchen. You'll notice we still use the original 1920's gas oven. It takes a little longer to do it the old way, but like Toni says, "...technology is not the same thing as good taste." Our old-fashioned approach toward baking superior cakes, pies, & pastries shows in the smiles of our new and regular customers. Our sandwiches are made to order with fresh meats and products. We can serve you one or cater to as large as your party requires. You should definitely keep us in mind for your next party! We do catering; just call your order in advance for freshness and prompt service.

Great Food  4 Star Rating - Very good

I don't usually like to meet in cafe's because I'm not a fan of coffee. However I love Toni's. The service is fantastic and I love the tea and cakes. I also really enjoyed the location. It was relaxing and I have made this a permanent meeting place with my friends.

Bad service, overinflated prices 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I've been going to Rollin' Pin Dutch American bakery for years--before Toni came along. I've ordered from her twice, because I really like the chocolate with fresh banana filling. The first time, she forgot the order and then charged me the 10 dollar delivery fee to get it to my office on time.
This morning, I picked up a full sheet cake. They charged me over 140 bucks (too expensive), did minimal decoration on it, and when the ATM machine wouldn't work (I waited patiently for 20 minutes), Toni came in and barked "We don't take checks."
A "Good morning" would have been appropriate.
Very bad service and not worth it. Go to Porto's instead. At least you'll get your money's worth.

Pros: Good chocolate banana cake
Cons: Bad service
