Repeat visitor found out by recommendation from a friend. They have a entire page for custom coffees drinks. You can try some of the native Venezuelan menu items, custom pasties, beans and rice basics or a variety of salads. Excellent

This place is great. They greet you right at the door and seat you right away. i've never been to a Venezuelan restaurant before. You get a lot of food for what you pay for, which is not expensive. The service here was very good. I went for dinner, but it's a place you can go just to have coffee, and even get some work done. I recommend this place 100%.

I was walking down Canon and happened to run into this place. When I saw the logo I remembered that some friends I happened to know who are actually Venezuelan had highly recommended it. It was DELICIOUS, the service was outstanding. The place was pretty packed and our server was very attentive and friendly. I had the DineLA menu for $22 it was amazing, I could barely finish my main course, a lot of food for more than a reasonable price. There are two prix fixe menus for $16 lunch and $22 dinner three courses with a lot of amazing food, can't beat that.
My new favorite spot. Great ambiance, fun music, did I mention $7 martinis.

Being an avid sushi goer, I tend to only stick with food I know about. I also tend to dine in the valley not posh Beverly Hills so when a friend mentioned Coupa Cafe I reluctantly allowed myself to be dragged along. When coming into the resturant you are greeted by all the staff and quickly seated. Once you sit down you are able to take in the beauty of the restuarant, the amazing architecture, the brillant fireplace, the desserts and chocolates in the showcase. If you love coffee this is your new mecca, forget starbucks, you are about to fall in love with the aroma, taste, and quality of true Veneszuelan coffee. They have a hip cocktail menu with drinks I've never seen that are both beautiful and tasty and a beer list as well. For an appetizer I had tequenos which are Veneszuelan cheese sticks which put mozzarella sticks to shame, with their crisp doughy outside and warm almost melting cheese in the middle. Its the perfect bite to start off your meal. For my main course I had the Wild Mushroom pasta which was an amazing light elegant dish with 3 kinds of mushrooms. This is deffinately a place I will be a regular at, and you should come out and try all of the amazing dishes on this one of a kind menu.

As a jaded LA local and self described food-snob, I figured the first time I went to Coupa cafe to find meals for 6.50$ in Beverly Hills, I figured this would be your typical cafe food- and boy was I wrong. Coupa Cafe's food is far better than dare I say, most of the cuisine the 90210!

I have even taken a friend from Venezuela, along with his family, and they were amazed at how authentic the food was, and they recognized the packaging on the drinks, as well as the art on the wall.

To make things even better, they sometimes have live music- and there offer free parking in back! I hope Coupa never goes away.

Coupa Cafe is AMAZING not only because it's in a prime spot in Beverly Hills, but because the food is SO GOOD, the service is great (we had a really cute waiter last time!) and it's not going to break the bank. The Tres Leches cake at Coupa Cafe is UNREAL--- I highly highly recommend it. They also have a very good selection of coffee drinks, desserts, crepes, salads and the famous arepas. I personally love the salads (especially the "beverly hills salad" and the one with goat cheese) and the desserts and they serve breakfast ALL DAY! The selection has something for everyone at a good price. Did I mention they play really good music?

Coupa is a must if you want to have an amazing dinning experience in a delightful restaurant!

Recently I went in for dinner and had the Venezuelan Pabellon. All my friend's had recommended this international dish and it was like and explosion of unknown flavors in my mouth! I shortly came back for the Way Wild Salmon for I am a fan of fish, specially salmon, and this one definitely topped my expectations! Plus, I was able to accompany my salmon with a fine white wine. I must say, they do have a wide variety of wines and desserts! I'm planning to come in for brunch soon, for the breakfast menu looks absolutely divine!

Service is friendly, expedient, and follow all dietary requests with ease and a smile.
I know there are hundreds of restaurants in Beverly Hills to choose from - but for my dollars and sense, I will return every trip to Coupa Cafe!!!!

The first time I ate at Coupa Cafe, it was an amazing experience. I had the best cachapa and I really enjoyed the tres leches. It was the best tres leches I have ever had. Then I had to go back to try their famous pabellon. I was so glad I went back because it was so delicious. After that second great experience, I started going back to Coupa Cafe at least once a week. They always have fabulous specials. It makes my week just to have lunch or dinner at Coupa. In addition, it has great service and the manager is so nice. The place is very nicely decorated and the free wi-fi is convenient if you just want to do some work over lunch.

Wow. The best coffee I have ever had! From the moment I entered Coupa Cafe until I left, I was treated very warmly by the staff. Both the level of attention that I received and the quality of the food exceeded all of my expectation. My only problem now is that I found the coffee to be so good that anything else that I drink elsewhere seems poor.
If you are looking for a trendy, high quality coffee spot in LA: this place is it.
Enjoy!

I ate at this establishment........or tried to eat shall I say. we ordered our food and 20 minutes later, the waiter told us that my choice was unavailable. We patiently waited for our food to come....and still no arrival. the manager came by the table and he acted rude, defensive, contradicting while making no attempts to help us. The food finally came and we took it to go......It was dry and mediocre at best. Bad Reviews stink, but I was compelled to write one after the way we were treated.

Fun, cute place for a drop-in. For the neighborhood, this cafe has a quainter feel than others. The service feels much like I imagine it might be in Venezuela...relaxed and friendly. The colors are invitingly warm inside...and if I'm not mistaken, there is a fireplace in the rear. They have a nice variety of wines, sodas. Loved it.

Talk about OVERALL EXCELLENCE... from the food, to the decor, to the drinks, to the service. I recently visited LA, and as I found myself in the heart of Beverley Hills I stopped by a small cafe for a quick cup of coffee. Little did I know that I had found one of the most well kept secrets of the city. This small restaurant/cafe, totally took me by surprise when I first looked at the menu. What a variety!, so many great choices! I decided to be bold and try some of their typical Venezuelan dishes... tried one of their "arepas", recommended by one VERY friendly waitress. I could have not made a better choice, to put it in humble terms, it was an explosion of flavor in my mouth!!! I closed of my meal with one of the best cappuccinos I have had in a very long time! To put it in simple terms, I ended up coming back to this little joint twice again during my one week trip... I had an excellent experience every time... specially when I came back for dinner the night before I headed back home and they had a live guitarist playing, to go along with the nightly drink special!
The ONLY reason I give this place 5 stars if because I can't give it 6!!!
Definitely do not miss this place while in Beverly Hills!

It's not always easy to find authentic ethnic cuisine at a reasonable price with warm service in Beverly Hills- but Coupa has done it quite well.

I am always greeted like I'm a cousin of the owner, no matter how busy Coupa is, or isn't. The menu features an array of Venezuelan cuisine, most of which is easy to figure out before you see it arriving to your table. The prices are very low for a place on Canon Drive, and the food is on par with every other place on the street,

My favorite part is the coffee- very rich and smokey.

A true gem!

I moved to Los Angeles from Venezuela in July of 2006, and it wasn't too long before I heard about Coupa Cafe. I admit I was a little wary at first, since Venezuelan food is not an easy thing to replicate outside the country... the ingredients have to be just so, and the preparation has to be a peculiar way - it looks quite simple but it's anything but.

My fears were soon allayed, however. The food is top-notch, it's almost as if I never left home. The service is friendly and warm and the menu is varied, giving you a choice of not only Venezuelan stuff, but other top fare as well. I've been a regular fixture at that place since I came here and have tried almost every item on the menu. The Pabellon? Exquisite. My personal favorite: the goat cheese salad (I could live off it, it's so good).

Coupa tries real hard to bring you personal attention, they will always serve with a smile and make sure your orders are followed to the letter (bring the arepa extra hot, please). The music is always just right, and the ambience is elegant yet relaxed. Best of all, they're definitely not Beverly Hills prices, people.

What can I say? I'm a fan of this place.

I am sorry to say that even though I am from Venezuela this place needs lots of improvement.
First, I was excited that there was finally a Venezuelan restaurant in town, but when I went, I felt disappointed because the food does not tastes good.

The Pabellon is okay, but the beans didn't have any flavor and the beef was too sweet. Then, with regards to the Arepas , they were tasteless. The cachapas(corn pancakes) were too thick and did not taste like the original cachapas, again, there was a problem with the taste.

To top it all, the attention was terrible in both occasions (took too long).
The second time we had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for our food.
Hopefully, it can improve because the atmosphere is good and so are the chocolates.
I am still excited that there is at least one Venezuelan restaurant in town.

Buen apetito!!!!!

Delicious food and great atmosphere at some of the most reasonable prices in LA. Sit outside and people watch along Canon Dr. or sit inside and work on your latest novel, either way be sure to snack on an arepa just like the ones I've had in Caracas. Friendly staff, great vibe, a perfect place for any meal or snack

Coupa Cafe is a place I like to call my "second home." I always know that I will get a great meal, whether it's a simple salad or one of their specialty Venzuelan dishes! Alongside this delicious food comes excellent service. Coupa Cafe's staff is very accomodating and very friendly. No matter how large or small my party is, they always cater to our every need. What I love most about Coupa Cafe is that they have a little bit of everything to eat...pizzas, salads, panini sandwiches, Venzuelan dishes, and most importantly delicious Venezuelan chocolate desserts!

I had a late lunch here with my buddies after work last Thursday and we had an awesome time. We had some beers and cocktails and the waiter was telling us about the Venezuelan food which I think none of us had ever tried. The place was pretty packed so it was a cool environment. We had quite a few drink and tried a bunch of the venezuelan dishes, the cachapa i think its called, this big corn pancake was really good and in general a dope place to chill out and not feel like you have to eat and leave. The service was awesome super attentive to us and they explained all about the venezuelan food. Definitely coming back!

My girlfriend and I have tried this place twice, and both times we have left disappointed. While the food is decent fare (my girlfriend is a native of Venezuela, and, thus, knows what an arepa should taste like), the horrible service more than outweighs the quality of the food. Each time our waitress was clueless as to the content and taste of the dishes (we brought guests unfamiliar with Venezuelan food)...to make matters worse, during our last visit, the waitress brought the wrong item out (after already confirming our order twice), and then the manager proceeded to argue with us about how we should eat the incorrect dish.

Good place to try out Venezuelan if you've never had it, but be forewarned...the service, especially by Beverly Hills standards, is sub-par at best.

There is one great reason I will keep on coming to this place, the Spicy Mayan Hot chocolate. I know Coupa is known for its coffee but every time I go I order the spicy hot chocolate which is just excellent. The food is also great, especially the arepas (Personal favorite is Domino) and if you only want a snack go for the pastries which are delicious.

Coupa Cafe offers great food, great service and great coffee, all wrapped up in a original, friendly package. Personally, the modern architecture and mix of ambiances makes me feel right at home. They have a big outside seating area, a friendly inside area, and a cozy fireplace area. My favorites plates are the eggs Benedict, the salmon, and the filet mignon; delicious! I've also tried the pastas, the crepes and some of their tasty Venezuelan plates (arepas, empanadas...). Your taste buds are definitely going to thank you after any of these dishes!
Also, besides being a great place to go with family or meet with friends, you can also go by yourself as they have free wi-fi and they allow dogs ( I sit outside when I take my dog). Coupa Cafe is awesome!

My girlfriend and I met here for a drink and it was delightful! The service was great and the food was even better! Arepas are the thing to get...they are light and delicious. Coupa's happy hour is awesome-we took advantage of the 2 for 1 and had several glasses of wine. They have a cozy fireplace area and outdoor seating so it's a perfect place for meeting friends. The Caprese salad with eggplant was very good, as well.Everyone was very nice and they greeted us with a smile.

Coupa is AMAZING! The food here is absolutely delicious. It has the greatest quality and the dishes are very nicely presented. They have an array of Venezuelan dishes such as arepas and empanadas which are very tasty and original and definetely worth the try! If you have the chance to go, you should also try their filet mignon with french fries. I go to Coupa as much as I can with friends and family. I've also taken coworkers and have loved it! It's great for anyone, even if you want to work or study since they have WiFi. Go to Coupa if you're looking for great original dishes, a pleasing environment with subtle music and the best service in the area!

This is an excellent restaurant!! Try their arepas or pabellon for a taste of their delicious Venezuelan dishes. They have a great selection of salads, paninis, crepes, omelettes, entrees, desserts, etc.
Also, try their fresh, organic coffee coming directly from the Venezuelan Andes. You won't be disappointed!
I go there at least once a week and I have never received poor service.
The tasteful decoration and the eclectic selection of music give Coupa Cafe a unique ambiance. It a great place to meet with friends, go out with your family, or even study (they have free wi-fi).
It is one of my favorite places in Beverly Hills!!

I went to Coupa Cafe with my girlfriend for dinner and sat by the fireplace...it was truly an amazing meal! I had the salmon which was real tasty and fresh. My girlfriend had the pabellon, which she loved as well. The chocolate mousse we shared was phenomenal and the espresso's were as good as I've ever had. This is one of those very unique places that is perfect for a date without being stuffy. The service quality was great, as were their reasonable prices (for LA!). I will definitely come back next time I'm in town!

Pros: Food, Service, Romantic

Cons: No Coupa in NYC:(

Coupa Cafe is fantastic - seriously, a great place with really unique food in the heart of Beverly Hills. The roast turkey panini is delicious, the arepas (their specialty, a Venezuelan-style cormeal sandwich with different meat fillings) are diverse, but every one of them is great, and the burger is well prepared and presented quite well.

Here's the deal: I come here 1-3 times a week, and I have yet to come away disappointed. Free wifi is a nice touch as well, a lot of people come here to study - especially in the back area by the fireplace - it's pretty cozy. Whether you want take-out, a quick lunch or a full dinner, Coupa Cafe is really good.

Pros: Decor, Unique Food, Location, Coffee

Cons: Pampered Beverly Hills kids that walk past the cafe with way too much gel in ther hair
