Azucar Latin Bistro & Mojito Bar

Had a dinner party and we were running real behind on time we got a late start, The manager took very good care of us, he told me no worries and the staff did an amazing job taking care of us, the food was wonderful and we had a good time thanks to the staff for looking out for us.

We had dinner at Azucar last thursday night. The food was extremly good I loved it. This was our first time here a couple of friends had been talking about azucar so we wanted to come check it out for ourselves we had a wonderful time. The mojitos were very good very nice time. I loved th decor of the place very nice.

if you have not been you should drop in on a wednesday night for karaoke night it is the best, I like to come in for happy hour and have a drink and appetizers then wait for the fun to begin, we sing in english and spanish it is loads of fun good people having a good time.

Azucar has the best music going in the downtown area, I love the live music on the weekends, they really kbnow how to get you moving on the dance floor, the atmosphere is fun and full of energy, it is your one stop place for good food, drinks and dancing.

Azucar is my favorite spot for good food, fun, drinks and dancing, you can not beat the staff here they go all out for you. The mojitos are the best in the area and I can say enough about all the special events they have good place to be on the weekend

This is a lovely, interesting restaurant that is perfect for a delicious and well-prepared meal downton San Jose. The food is great and reasonably priced, too. -dishes from a variety of countries very well prepared. Highly recommended for a great evening out!

I love everything about azucar, the staff are friendly and attentive they strife to be the best. The drinks are strong and good not waterd down. I have been to a few of the special events and have never not had a great time. Happy hour is a blast you cant beat the prices.

The food is great. I have eaten their several times and have never had a bad meal. My only suggestion would be to add more shrimp to the ceviche. Which by the way is a favorite item on the menu for me. Such flavor and very fresh

The food was perfect, and we were all happy with our meals. The waitstaff is friendly and the bathrooms are clean.

Azucar stood out to me while I was downtown. I enjoy upscale, trendy places I was not sure what to expect Azucar delivered dynamite dining experience .

The design,ambiance of the place is modern, clean and trendy. A fine tapas restaurant bar lounge experience.

The husband and I came in for dinner, the food was very good of course they are known for the mojito and we had to try them very good. the decor is pleasant with nice lighting the music is a little loud for dinner but all in all a very good time was had by us we will be back for the dancing on a weekend.

I am a big Mojito fan and since I found azucar I am a bigger fan, they have a large selection of flavors and they have a good happy hour so I can try a couple of different flavors at $3 dollars a drink during happy hour I am very happy. I found out that they have a double happy hour 5-7pm and 9-11pm hooray

Azucar wonderful restaurant, for a sumptuousdinner. The menu offers a wide variety of the most delicious Latin cuisine in San Jose with something for everybody to enjoy. Of course you cant forget the Mojitos some of the best in San Jose.

Had a blast here this past Friday night. Came with a birthday group for some appetizers and drinks. Average price and the food was better than what I would have expected. Mojitos pretty delicious. They have 3 bars very nice Dj who spins good music dance tunes. Great variety of music . diverse crowd. good experience for me and my friends and we will definitely be back.

If you have not been here on the weekend you are missing a great time. the place is full and people are dancing, drinking and having a great time, in the 1st lougne there is a live band and the 2nd lougne has a dj that plays a variety of music its a good place to be on the weekend for a night on the town.

I love the music in the back lougne its a good mixture of music. You can get a drink pretty quickly and the music is good to dance to. I always have a good time when I come here for drinks and dancing.

this is one of the best happy hours if you love mojitos then its a must stop for $3.00 drinks and $2.00 tapas you cant go wrong i like to stop in on hump day for happy hour and a mid week pick me up if you stay long enough you can have a great time when the karaoke starts.

anniversay we came in for dinner and with dinner we ordered bottle service the food was excellent the service we good. Bottle service was the best it made our celebration the best yet everything was taken care of and we had a guest list so we could celebrate with our friends thanks to the staff for taking such good care of us.

I loved the live music here, its so much better then some places I have been, the crowd is a great mixture, and the atomosphere is high good people looking for a good time. I have to say I am a mojito fan since i started coming here. its a great place to start you weekend or end your weekend.

authentic Latin flavors exciting menu. I came in for dinner with my Hubby the server was very pleasant and helpful, We both loved our food and what can we say about the mojitos very good some of the best. We will be back to try more of your menu.

came in for dinner the wife and I did a surf and turf meaning I had the steak strips and she had ceviche both dishes were very good and you cant go to a place that has mojitos and not try one mango and pineapple very nice. we are going to come back for dancing which we heard through our server was very lively and fun thanks for a great night out.

If you like live musci then you have to come to azucar the live band is awesome they paly salsa,cumbia,and or latin music. If your thing is not salsa music then you have to check out the back lougne were the music is top forty,raggeton,house music its a different atmosphere in the back lougne and they have a full bar.

I love the mojitos here they are so good, there are so many flavors to try my favorite right now is the blood orange one, this is my hump day hideaway I come in after work and relax a little before heading home. The place is electric on the weekends dancing, live music and nice mixed crowd everyone of all ages its so nice.

I love Azucar they have great events that are always so much fun. I have so much fun at the karaoke night on Wednesday, its a great place to go after work to have a drink and a little food to wait for the traffic to die down. The prices are extremely good at happy hour which is always a plus.

The wife and I came in for dinner the food was good we had to try the mojitos since we have been hearing how good they are and we must agree. After dinner we went into the back lougne and danced the night away this is a good spot for dancing and having good food and drinks.

very nice ambience a little bit crowded came in for drinks and dancing on saturday night, the place is really busy we went into the back lougne which was a little less crowded and had a dj playing top 40 music and dance tracks which is cool it was easier to get a drink back there all in all nice place i might come back for dinner i hear the food is pretty good and they have all kinds of events going on through out the week

thrilled I found this place! It is local major plus, has great hours, great menu, good prices and fully stocked bar(s) since I am not a hard liquer person, I loved the selection of beer on hand. I have heard about azucar before but had not ventured in came in friday night wow there is a nice crowd and the music is hot.

I love the music especially when the live bands are playing. The atmosphere is high and everyone is having a great time dancing and having a few drinks. I have not been for dinner yet but I am sure I will do so soon. I love Son Del Kali

I love the salsa lessons on Monday night I am not that good of a dancer but my girlfriend loves to dance and so I wanted to give it a try for her, turns out I am not as bad as I thought and the folks are friendly and nice so I dont feel so out of place.

Bringing a recent transplant I am so glad that I found azucar, I love my latin heritage and was looking for a place to eat, drink and be merry. I came in for happy hour and being a mojito drinker these rate very high in my book the appetizer are some of the best and filling. I have to come back and have dinner in the near future. the band is wonderful, I love the live music it just seems to make you want to dance when you have someone playing music. The crowd is a nice mix. The staff is super friendly. The mojitos are cold and have a little punch to them. I love the two different styles of music int he lougnes.

you have to come out on wednesday night for karaoke night it is so much fun. you can sing in either english or spanish last night azucar was packed. everyone had a great time. I love karaoke. I love to come in have a few drinks and then listen and sing along with everyone else you have to come see it for yourself.

my hubby and brother and sister in law came in for dinner on tuesday night and the food was very good not what we expected it is latin cusine from different regions. We were pleasantly surprised none of us have had a mojito although it was very good I will stick with my usualy glass of wine. The music is very nice and our server explained that there is a live band that plays on the weekends next time we will have to come on the weekend to hear the band.

The back Patio is so relaxing after a hard monday at work thought i would go for a nice drink and unwind a little before heading home and the back patio is the place to be the sounds of the waterfall are so relaxing it just does wonders for a tired mind takes you away from everything that might have happened that day and the atmosphere is so cool I love that they put that waterfall out back good job.

I had the arroz con polio very flavorful and cooked to perfection. I wish that they would open for lunch as this would be a great lunch time meal the sweet plantains are soo good. I love the atmosphere at azucar you know you will always have good times and good food.

The mojitos are cold and refreshing the atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpul. the highlight of the evening was the karaoke singing which was a blast.

we came out for a night of dinner and dancing, I love the ambience of azucar it is high energy. The food was very good and of course the mojitos are always great. I love to dance and this is my favorite dance spot when I do go out, I am never disappointed when I come here.

The food was yummy. We ordered calamari, , ceviche and the arroz con pollo for us to share and it was more than enough. Drinks were excellent strong enough. Our server was really friendly and helpful.

We want to come back and try other stuff on their menu and of course try more of the mojito flavors!

Azucar was so crazy last night it was the best came in for happy hour and stayed for the show if you were not there you missed a hot night, music, dancing, drinks amazing atomosphere, they have the best band on the weekends you have to be there for a great time.

if you love to dance and have a good time then you have to think of azucar first, they have the best drinks great crowd and awesome staff. Downtown San Jose need a place like this to brighten up the area.

My wife and I went in for dinner I thought it was a mexican food, I must i was surprised when I saw the menu, it is regional latin food dinner was good and nice portions. Loved the place. Service was promt and friendly a must stop for good food and friendly service.

I love the live music at azucar the band is absolutley wonderful, the music makes you have to dance. The place gets crowded so you have to get there early. There is nothing better then live music when you are partying. There is a Dj that plays other music in the back lougne but give me the live stuff for sure. son de kali/azucar keep up the great music.

Monday nights are a blast i went ot the free salsa lessons and had such a great time. you dont need a partner just come and have some fun and learn some steps great excersize will be back soon.

The hubby took me out to dinner at azucar, we had not been on a date in months you know how it is when you have kids. The place was amazing. I loved the decor. The food was very good I had the salmon with a cream sauce they hubby had shrim in a butter garlic sauce neither one of us has had a mojito so we went with the signature drink of the house and were surprised at how good they are. Our server made sure we had everything we needed which helped make our night out a success.

Fellas if you are looking for a great place to dance,praty, drink and have a great time head out to Azucar on a weekend night. The ladies are sexy and ready to dance and have fun. The drinks are cold and refreshing I know they are known for the mojito but if you are like me a love a cold beer you wont be disappointed you have to come in ready to party and have a good time. The back lougne is the place to be.

If you are like me sometimes you need somethig to pick you up mid week, I stopped in Azucar for a drink on wednesday after work boy I am glad that I did it was karaoke night and it was so much fun, the people were super nice and after a couple of drinks everyone sings well. If you are shy have a mojito a smile and sing a song.

The girls came out to play on Thursday night and boy did we have a fantastic time, The music was hot and the drinks cold and with a nice little kick. Love the Dj in the back lougne if Salsa is not your thing hit the back and get your dance on with a good mix of music and dance tracks the girls are coming back.

Azucar is the place to be on a Friday or Saturday Night if you like to party and dance make this your first stop. The music it hot you can either dance of live music or if you like more of a mixture of music check out the back lougne were there is a great dj playing lots of danceable music. There is also a full bar so if you get thristy you wont have to travel far. The crowd is full of good people that come to dance and have fun.
