For an appetizer my girlfriend and I shared an order of platanos which were excellent. The cream was unexpected but was surprisingly delicious.

I had the Carne Desilda with casamiento and red refried beans. Everything was really good. The flavors were similar to other latin food, but the preparation and combinations were different in a good way. Very satisfying and hearty. The portions are quite generous.

The wine selection was admirable and generically latin (Chile, Argentina, and Spain). I always enjoy when restaurants try to include regional wine.

The ambiance is ok. The dining room is laid out somewhat oddly.

My only real critique is that the service was really slow. The kitchen seemed understaffed and unprepared to put out lots of food. The restaurant was pretty full for a Tuesday and I guess they didn't plan on a large service. The food was great when it arrived, but we were starving by the time entrees were served.

I'd definitely go again.
