Amanda Touch of Color Salon

I have had many mediocre or disappointing results with color and hair, never finding the right fit throughout the years. I finally went to see Amanda on a recommendation of a good friend after I noticed a change in her hairstyle and commenting on how good it looked.

I have never looked back! Amanda was able to cut, color and style my hair so beautifully. The color, especially was masterfully done to bring out my features. I have never received so many compliments and requests on who cuts my hair. I wish I had found her sooner! It's now been a few years. Even when I can't get to her for a few weeks, my hair still looks great even after it has long outgrown the cut. I take this to be a sign of a good stylist and good choice of cut. Even the way she colors is forgiving when it grows out and I'm not able to get to the salon.

I love seeing Amanda not only because she gives a fabulous hair cute and color, but she also brings a creative and thoughtful perspective for trying new things. I also have very thick hair, so often times stylists have a difficult time managing my hair. This is not the case for Amanda! Not only does she understand how to work with my hair, but she also does it in record time! She is the neatest and fastest hair dresser I've ever had!

I stopped in at Amanda's salon one day to just get a consultation about my cut and color and to find out her pricing. I was tired of paying exorbidant prices for color that I did not like. Amanda was great; she just talked to me and was willing to let me walk out the door after answering my questions but I then asked her, "Do you have time now?" She did so I sat in her chair and watched my style, and even more importantly, my color come back to life! I received so many compliments. The thing I am noticing after 3 appointments with Amanda is that my color seems to last longer and my cut grows out a lot better than I have ever experienced. I love the fact that Amanda is a specialist in styling and color so I can get everything done in one appointment with one person. It is apparent to me that Amanda is very concerned with her customer's satifation and I really appreciate that too! The icing on the cake is that her prices are very reasonable and she is located very conveniently to my home.

Amanda is an artist in creating the color to fit your own coloring. The first time I went to her, she did a color correction following an unsatisfactory color done at a high-end salon in the city. She uses only the best products, and you can tell the difference, not only when you leave with your new color treatment, but as the weeks go by before your next color. She is personally responsive to your own hopes, and has often made a special appointment to prepare me for a special event or trip. She is a true professional, having had a very popular salon in Portland and is now creating her new shop here in Seattle.

Amanda is a fantastic hair designer. She is very good at creating a hairstyle that suits each customer. She has recently changed my life! As I move into my midlde forties it is important to me to look young and current. Amanda has given me new confidence and new energy. I am so glad I found her. My daughter's love her too. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Amanda is enthusiastic and genuine in her approach to each client. She loves what she does, and it shows. She gives excellent cuts and great color, and possesses a great deal of technical knowledge. Amanda is confident, works quickly (with great results), and always makes you feel at home in her chair. She's also versatile: my husband and elderly mother both leave her salon looking wonderful every time! I have tried MANY hair salons in Seattle over the years, and Amanda's is right up there at the top of the list.

I've been going to Amanda since my college days at UW.... almost 8 years ago. She always has the best style cuts for me and the most wonderful color techniques. I've grown from just a kid to a working corporate woman. My hair cut and color are always stylish and appropriate as I evolve into new phases of my life. She remembers everything we talk about and all my likes and dislikes, but still suggests new techniques, colors or cuts if she thinks it will suit me. Great Job!

Amanda offers great cut and color. I saw many friends who had their hair cut or colored by Amanda and really liked her work. When I was ready to get my first highlights I turned to Amanda. She chose a great stylish cut that complements my busy lifestyle of being a mother and chose a great color that complements my natural hair color. I haven't gone anywhere else since. Try it for yourself!

Amanda was such a lucky find! I had just moved to seattle a year ago and needed to find a hair stylist (which can be a nightmare of a process!) A Touch of Color was the first place I went to, and I absolutly loved my experience! Amanda has such a talent with color, and everytime I go back she has new ideas for me. Prices are totally afordable and I can call and usually get an appointment within hours! Amanda also uses high-end products, so the color never fades and my hair has never looked healthier!

Amanda has cut, colored, and styled my hair for about six years. She is particularly skilled with scissors, if sometimes a little overzealous so it pays to keep tabs on just how long or short you want her to cut your hair. Her cuts however are always well-executed. What is more, she keeps up-to date with new techniques and frequently attends hairstyling conferences to learn about new styles, products, and methods. Unlike many hairdressers, she pays attention to individual likes and needs.

I was so lucky to find this place. Amanda gave such wonderful service. Her talent in finding the perfect tones for my skin color and finding the perfect hair length and cut for my face just astounded me. She made sure that i had natural looking tones in my hair so that when it grows out it doesn't look obvious that i haven't been to the salon in a while.

I have gone from salons that just ruined my hair. The color would last for only a week and fade out to a ugly orange.

But after my experience at The touch of color salon i have to say that i will go no where else. I left in such a great mood. Not only does my hair look great but its healthy too. I have so much confidence i don't have to tie it up and hide my hair, all i have to do is dry my hair and add a little shining serum and I am well off for the day.

I definitely recommend this salon to everyone.

Cons: Parking was hard to find at first but there is hidden parking in the back.
