Best Yoga I've experienced 5 Star Rating - World class

Yogiway is a fabulous yoga studio. The teachers are experienced, creative and caring. The studio itself is beautiful--with a mat floor that frees up practitioners to move in multidimensional space without the constraint of a typical mat. Visiting teachers, including Edward Clark and Andrey Lappa, provide practitioners with rigorous alternative approaches to the philosophy and practice of yoga

Katerina Wen, the studio's director and one of its main teachers, is an extraordinary teacher--her classes are beautifully choreographed and since I started working with her several years ago my practice has deepened and the benefits have extended to my writing and my life.

Yogiway's kids yoga and family yoga are also wonderful.

All and all, the best yoga studio I've attended.

Pros: Creative unusual personalized yoga, wonderful space

Fabulous Yoga Studio 5 Star Rating - World class

Yogi-Way is one of my most favorite studios in Seattle. The view of the sun coming in, in the morning or setting in the evening is fabulous. The floor is great, I feel totally safe and will try the most advanced inversions there. It was here that I could perfect my forearm balance before bringing it outside to the hardwood studios I also attend in Seattle such as Yogalife and "Samadhi" . The workshops there are incredible. Edward Clark, who comes there three times a year of Tripsichore has totally changed my practice. He specializes in inversions and is incredibly funny and a very warm open layback teacher. Katerina has also introduced me to her other teachers Dharma in New York City where I go when I visit my mom in NYC. Edward Clark is also Dharma's student. Lastly there is a really good mix of class levels here. I often go to the lower levels for a nice slow restorative practice. When I am up for it I do the more advanced inversion classes where half the participants are teachers. If you want to get a free taste of this place try the Karmai classes which happen about once a month on a Sunday morning. They are pay what you wish for a real good cause.

Namaste,

Victor Odlivak

Pros: Good Bicycle Parking

Talented teachers, beautiful space, warm community 5 Star Rating - World class

I'm a certified yoga teacher, and when I moved to Seattle, I tried a lot of local studios looking for a place that would keep my practice fresh. Yogi Way has quickly become my favorite studio in Seattle. The teachers--particularly owner Katerina Wen--are incredibly dedicated to their own practices, and bring creativity and thoughtfulness to every class. The classes are challenging and test my limits, and Yogi Way also brings master teachers and special workshops often, allowing me to break out of my routine. The studio has a beautiful setup, with a gorgeous view from floor-to-ceiling windows. And I love the one-mat floor, because it allows you to move in all directions and never feel confined by the rectangle of your personal mat. It's definitely worth checking out -- you'll be hooked.

Pros: outstanding teachers, one-mat floor, natural light, easy parking/biking access

Yogi Way 5 Star Rating - World class

Yogi Way is wonderful. There are a million places to choose from if you want to do yoga in Seattle and you may or may not have been to some of them, but this one is the best. High quality instruction from knowledgeable teachers (with a great soundtrack), beauitful space with a view, convenient and free parking, friendly staff and students and fair prices. Try several classes and experience the full range of fabulous yoga available at this sweet spot.

Pros: teachers, schedule, pricing, aesthetics, everything
Cons: none

serious yoga studio 4 Star Rating - Very good

This place rocks. When they opened, I remember thinking : "like we need another yoga school in this neighborhood". But I checked it out and I never went back to the other yoga school where I was a member. This place is unique in so many ways. You don't need a mat since the whole floor is padded (and disinfected after every class). The classes are mainly vinyasa yoga, with a twist. They are physically intensive and make a good workout, but also nurture spiritual development if you are into that. They also teach different styles such as universal yoga, acro yoga, partner yoga, mandala yoga, etc. Moreover, they frequently have world-class guest teachers dropping by for short workshops.

The level of the teaching and of the practitionners is pretty high too. Level 1 classes at Yogi Way are more like level 2-3 classes in other studios while level 4 classes, well... let's just say the attendance is mostly made of yoga teachers.

Pros: excellent technique, friendly place
Cons: small studio, can be hot inside
