i've only been here once but it was such a great experience! i love greek food, but i really, really, really really love their food. i don't know what it is. you can't go wrong with any of the greek staples (hummus, gyros, etc.). it's all full-bodied flavor. i can't wait to go back! the owners are also hilarious!

So good
by Kimi11
Seriously the best, freshest Greek food I've ever had. My friend used to cook me authentic Greek food and I thought I would never get that anywhere else. But this place matched it. It was delicious and the service was excellent and so friendly. The owner comes over and talks with you and he kept saying how we were like family now and he wants to see us come back soon. He even gave us a free dessert. Such a good experience and I'll be back there next week! Go and bring your friends.
Pros: Great waiter, Great food, Good parking, Nice ambience.

Great food and great service
by WSeattleFoodie
The food is great. The Gyro's are nicely portioned mounded high. The greek salad is very good as well as their tzatsiki sauce. Their tiramasalata is a great bold flavor for a dip with warm pitas as well as their hummus. I've had a couple specials here. I've had two specials here. One was a miss for me, but I think simply was due to a dish that I pictured being differently. It was not bad, but just wasn't my cup of tea. Sometimes that just happens and it certainly wasn't a fault of the chef. The other special I had another time was awesome. The service is good and attentive. Due to the limited seating, there wouldn't be an excuse for poor service. I've mainly done dishes to go, which take nothing from eating there. Parking is on the street, but not too bad.
Pros: Great tasting food and good value
Cons: limited seating

You'd have to go to Greece to get food this good anywhere else
by InsultedatJulias
The owners. I've been to their old restaurant. I loved it. But then they sold it. The food and atmosphere changed. Then Kokoras opened near our home and wow...the food was every bit as great as the place in Kent was. I inquired and found out these guys were the same owners of the one I use to love before it sold.
No wonder. Amazing food. Huge portions. Great people. It's hard to find this great of food anywhere and with the love that flows out of the kitchen and from behind the counter for what these folks do.
Go hungry and be ready for a doggie bag that you definately will NOT be sharing with the dog at home.
Hats off to a great restaurant. You are a keeper and a regular.
Pros: food. owners. food. owners. food. owners. food.
Cons: small but quaint

West Seattle is full of gems, but Kokoras is a Diamond!!!

After going for my second visit, I knew that the amazing food and wonderful service were not by chance!
Whether you're ordering to go, or sitting down to dine-in, you'll love your experience. The food is genuine and delicious, the staff is warm, friendly and full of suggestions! Their specials are delicious, too!
If you've never had Greek food, I recommend giving Kokoras a try (you'll be hooked!). If you're already a fan of Greek food like I am, then definitely make this a regular stop!!!
Pros: Tasty Specials, Good Prices, Friendly Service
Cons: Seating is limited, but it's just as tasty to-go!

Great Greek Taverna Fare, Great Greek Wines, Great Staff

I have a confession to make: my family and I have been stalking the owners of Kokoras Greek Grill at each of their restaurants for the better part of 16 years. The food is what gets you the first time. You have it once, & its so good you can't wait to go back. Its the kind of good food that you can't stop eating, even when you're so full you feel sick. Its Spiros & Demetra, the owners & their charming son, Staci that get you eventually. They come out to the tables, happily handing out hugs & kissing the cheeks of babies. Staci is the "wine guy," as well as a cook alongside Spiros. You'll see Staci come out of the kitchen periodically to cork a bottle of Greek wine for a table of guests, and then hang out & chat for a minute before disappearing back into the kitchen to cook next to his dad. At this point I've tried just about everything Spiros puts on a plate so I'll give you the run down: His calamari is the best I've ever had - VERY lightly battered, super soft (never chewy), and served with homemade skordalia (sp? Greek dip made of potato & garlic). You can't go wrong with a Slouvaki Platter - your choice of chicken, pork, beef or lamb(of course) served with spices & feta, Greek potatoes or rice, & a Greek salad to start. Spiros makes his own gyros meat & its the best you'll find anywhere - I just get the gyros platter so I can get a massive pile of the meat shaved on to my plate & eat it with a fork, but their Gyros "sandwiches" are very good as well. His Tzatziki is homemade as are all of his sauces. His salad dressing is worthy of a bottle to take home (you have to bring your own bottle so don't forget!). Their 2 homemade soups (she makes the vegan barley & he the avgalemono) are fresh & fabulous. Spiros daily Specials are a must...any of them. Be sure to order Demetra's homemade baklava & Greek coffee for dessert - Demetra will read your fortune in the grinds when you're done. The food is one thing, but in the end, you'll just love to be there.
Pros: Homemade Greek Food, Owners, Wine, FOOD!!
Cons: Ltd seating-come early or late for dinner, close at 9pm

Great Gyro
by kimberleec
I used to love this place, and I'd go a few times a month. The place started out great, but after a while they raised prices and cut back on portions and the extras (the gyros used to be full of red onions and tomotoes...now they're only meat, lettuce, and sauce which is still tasty, but I miss that kick that comes with the onions). I still enjoy the food, but it is not what it used to be.
Pros: Tasty food, parking
