I moved up here from L.A. where I'd been tanning for years and was floored by this place!! The staff couldn't be cooler, the beds are new and top-of-the-line, and they were able to create an interior space that is very modern, but still very warm and inviting. It's a very classy place created by very friendly, classy people! You've won me over, what can I say?

After hearing from friends and reading reviews I was sold on checking this place. The 5 star rating is true. The beds are amazing, the low grade bed I got out feeling refreashed instead of sweaty, hot and burned and the customer service was pleasent and educated.

This tanning salon is located down on Macadam Blvd. in a small strip mall. I stumbled upon this salon due to the close location the salon had to my boyfriend's residence. Just in time!!!!! I had been so fed up with so many of the other tanning salons in the Portland charging such high prices, for such low quality beds and bulbs. I highly recommend that you check this place out. When I was there, the customer service was great, the establishment was clean, and I left feeling like I got what I paid for!

Much better beds/lamps than another leading chain (I'll exclude their name) prices seemed a little high, but worth the price relative to their competition - You'll pay the same at their competitors with weaker bulbs. Bottom Line is I have a great tan!

I went to Bask to get an airbrush tan for a wedding I was in. Not only was the service amazing but the tan turned out beautiful. I think i'm hooked! It didnt take long at all...I didnt get any weird streaks or look orange. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get an airbrush tan this fall!

This is the best tanning salon I've been to. The beds are higher quality than anywhere else. You will walk out of there with a tan your first visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the decor is awesome.

Best beds I have found in the area (have tanned at three or four other salons prior to visiting Bask). At Bask you are sure to get a nice tan rather quickly... results will show after only a few visits and its a tan that seems to last. I would have given Bask 5 stars, however I found their prices to be super spendy.

I found Bask as I was preparing for an upcoming trip to Puerto Vallarta. When I vacationed there last year I burned the very first day; no fun at all!
The staff at Bask were enormously helpful and advised me as to how best to build a solid, beautiful base tan in time for my trip. They answered all my questions and offered me samples of various moisturizers and products throughout, which I loved! The service at Bask is excellent, the facility is beautiful, and everyone on staff seems to really care about taking care of customers.
By the time I got to Mexico I had a beautiful tan and was able to just enjoy my week in the sun. I will definitely be back!

Some tanning salons (not all) can make anyone feel uncomfortable. Bask was the complete opposite. I was so happy with the customer service AND my flawless air-brush tan. (I was a first timer and will never do the "booth" spray- tan again) While it is a little more $, it is completely worth it. The esthetician was amazing and the results looked very natural. It lasted without fading into spots because I was given instructions on what to do and not to do to make my tan last. Surprisingly, I walked out with a package. Now I can get through the NW winters feeling good!

The best tanning experience there is to be had, besides the real thing! The modern beds are wonderful and the best thing is the staff is not so creepily tan that it weirds you into leaving before laying down! Pleasant wait area and very well taken care of. A must visit in the dredges of the Portland winter!

I got the spray on tan for my trip to Cancun for my 30th birthday and they did a wonderful job. The staff was very friendly and professional. This was my first experience with the airbrush tan and the staff answered all of my questions about maintaining the color. The outcome was very natural and even.

The salon is very clean and inviting. The owners go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I have been offered many specials and even a free service since i have started going to Bask. The machines are all state of the art and i have achieved great results with the use of them.

I got the airbrush tan done for my wedding. I was almost 5 months pregnant and didn't want to look lily white. It was perfect! No tan lines, and we customized my color so it looked natural. The staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I would definately do it again!!!!

This place is amazing. I don't think I would ever go tanning anywhere else. Beds are brand new and clean. Front desk staff are all helpful and nice without being pushy to try to sell you more than what you want. I use their Open Sun bed which is medium pressure and have gotten one of the best tans of my life.

I absolutely love Bask! I initially went there for their high pressure tanning beds--which are fantastic and in great shape, but when I gave up tanning their airbrushing was the perfect substitute. Airbrushing at Bask is made comfortable by their accommodating staff. They go out of their way to make sure you leave with a tan that looks even and natural.
I would highly recommend Bask for tanning and airbrushing. They make sure your experience is pressure free and enjoyable!

I've always been nervous going to a new tanning salon, because most of my previous experiences were so negative, with dirty beds and rude employees. I was so relieved to find this place, because the employees remember your name and are always more than willing to show you the ropes and answer your questions. The beds are in great condition, the employees are knowledgeable, the place is clean and welcoming. I absolutely love Bask!

This tanning salon was the only place I found in Portland that wasn't trying to sell me something I wasn't going to use. I don't tan often and was getting ready for a trip for Hawaii and wanted to get a tan before I left. The lady at Bask in the Sun was so helpful and nice unlike other experiences. She also helped with questions I had about tanning since I'm not a regular tanner. I even got my first tan free! Plus I could get to the salon after work and not feel rushed since they don't close until 8. At first I thought the pricing was alittle high, but after going and seeing how clean and friendly they were, it was well worth the price! Bask in the Sun is the only place I'd recommend or go back to here in Portland.

Convenient location, friendly professional staff and new clean beds and rooms. I don't do the airbrush tanning but I can always count on getting a tanning bed right away when I walk in without an appointment. Right next to nail salon which is convenient as well as being close to southeast portland and lake oswego. The salon is spacious and nicely decorated, doesn't feel claustrophobic like some small tanning rooms do. All in all the best tanning experience around.

I found Bask by browsing the internet. I really wanted to get a "spray on" tan for my Vegas weekend. I decided to try there airbrush tanning. It was my first experience with this type of service. It was 100 times better than I ever imagined. The tan was the perfect tone and looked natural. They are very friendly and professional. I also used there bed prior to my airbrush tanning. The bed was great! I would defiantly recommend Bask to anyone. It is truly the best tanning place I have been to since I have moved to Portland!!

I was brought into by Bask by a friend who raved about the "Air Brush" tanning. Never been a fan of the Mystic or Spray tan and she promised this was SO much better. Upon arriving the owners are there to greet you, and make you feel like you are their only customer. No heavy pushes, just nice friendly conversation. I had the airbrush tan, which made me feel like a celebrity. All areas I was comfortable with exposing, were maticulously airbrushed by hand and I had a few places "accented" to hide a little celulite and define my calves..Then they offered me a free tan to try out the facilities. I was so impressed. Their prices are far more affordable when you realize the quality of beds, customer service (no teens chomping their gum, saying "last name" and talking on the phone), and the amount of service making sure your visit was the best. I had just bought a package elsewhere the week before, but I am sold the next time I need a new package. You get what you pay for in this salon AND the prices are MORE affordable than clubtan, or other salons I have been disappointed by. I support this company and will happily return! Oh, my airbrush tan lasted a solid 10 days!

The staff at Bask is very knowledgeable. Brant took the time to walk me to each room and described the performance of each "bed" in depth. He wasn't pushy, not at all a salesman. He offered a wealth of information and was very professional. I tried to the stand up bed, and was thrilled with the results after just two visits. I highly reccomend Bask!

Bask is great. Super nice staff, really good beds, a little expensive but totally worth it. My first time to bask I got to go in a high pressure bed and it only cost $10!

Finally - a place that does a great airbrush tan! I have very fair skin that doesn't tan - what a perfect solution! Jessica did a fantastic job creating a natural looking glow. It was flawless! She made me feel very comfortable and was super nice. Very cool atmosphere too - I will definitely be back.

WOW! I cant believe I found JUST came across this place...The beds are AWSOME and AWSOME looking ...which is great for the relaxing part of it..but I got great color from them too. Jessica did a really great air brush also..But the owners are really cool people..You have to give it a shot....you wont regret it!!

Bask tanning is a cut above the rest! They have a first class salon.. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the beds are clean and comfortable.
This has been my most positive and enjoyable experience yet and I HIGHLY reccommend them :-)

I'm very happy with the results I have received at bask tanning. The beds are the best I've ever been in. I usually have to go 4-5 times a week to even see results, and when the employee told me I needed to only go twice a week there I thought he was crazy... Well turns out, I was wrong. The beds work so so much better then the ones I've used in the past. I realized that I ended up saving money because I didn't have to go as many times each week... Plus, the place is all around 10X better then most of the other ones i've been to around Portland. I highly recommend this place to everyone looking for the nicest place to tan in Portland!

I recently moved down from Seattle and was in need of a new tanning salon. I checked a few out around the area and was never happy with either one of the places I went. I checked on here and read the reviews about some of the places around and decided to go to "Bask". It really was as nice as people said it was. I'm very happy with the place. It definitely is the nicest salon I've ever been to, even out of the ones in Washington. I'd recommend it to anyone new to the area or just wanting to upgrade their current tanning place! :)

I read up on Bask on Citysearch, and wanted to check it out since it had some good beds listed. I had an awesome experience! The girl who helped me was really friendly, and definitely had more substance than anyone else Ive had to deal with at tanning salons. The bed was super clean, and I had slight results just walking out. The music comes through the bed, loud and clear, and the controls are literally right in front of you, so its user friendly. I would recommend Bask to ANYONE asking me where to go tanning. Ive found my permanent salon!

I've been looking for a place that for once is clean! I'm tired of trying to get undressed in a disgusting room and then trying to crawl in a slippery dirty bed. This is my third place tanning place in Portland i've been to, and now it will be my last. Everything was immaculate, beds and rooms were very clean inside and out. Beds were pretty amazing too. Actually noticed a great deal of color after just one tan!

I stopped tanning a few years ago due to health concerns - the only ones I get now are the kind they spray on. I have had this done many places with good and bad results for cheap and highly expensive. At Bask, I received meticulous attention from Jessica who made sure every inch of skin was taken care of. She was very personable and funny and makes you feel comfortable. The result was a goof-proof golden brown tan that lasted for a week and went away gradually without any weird spotting. You can't beat their prices on spray tans either, especially for the result you get. I highly recommend you try this place whether you spray tan or use the beds, it is clean, friendly and a great value.

I've have been going to Bask for a while now. I noticed they had an award for "Best Of CitySearch" for 2007-2008, so I had to come write my own review, although they seem to have a few already. Well, the place is great, the beds are some of the best beds I've been in, but what really makes the place are the people that run it. After getting to know the owners and the workers I feel like they are more than a business, but actual friends. They are so genuine and friendly. I leave happy everytime, and that is what makes me keep going to a place. The people who work there. It doesn't feel like the typical salon where the employees don't care about you, hardly say a word, and try and get you to buy everything. I'd recommend this place to everyone!

I found Bask on Citysearch yesterday in a desperate attempt to get an airbrush tan on my all too white skin before the holiday!

24 hours later I am a golden brown, very very happily satisfied customer.

Jessica was my "airbrush artist" and she was wonderful, On time, Sweet, professional and fast.

Their establishment is incredibly clean. Parking a breeze and I definately will be back in 10 days for another session.

Being from the tanning capitol of the world, I was hesitant at first to airbrush or tan in Portland but I have been quickly corrected. Bask is just like being back at home except without the long waits or drama.

I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a color pick me up!!!

I tried their Airbrushing for the first time the other day. I was amazed at the quality and how great the results really look. I can't tan, so this was a great feature. The girl who airbrushed me was so friendly and professional. Love the results and would recommend this to anyone who can't tan, or just wants instant results! A+++

I have lived in Portland for 8 years and have tanned in a few places. I tried out Bask this time because its on my way home from work and fairly close to my house.
I am very, very pleased with the tanning service offered at Bask. The beds (4 different types to choose from) are really top-of-the-line and very clean. The other great thing is that is a very comfortable, low pressure atmosphere. No overly-tan, paid-on-commission teenagers staring at you and trying to up-sale you. (Which is pretty much the #1 thing that makes me want to walk out and never return.)

I stopped by Bask In The Sun Tanning the other day and was absolutely astonished at how nice it really was. It looked so much better in person then I would have ever imagined it. Even their website didn't do justice as to how impressive it was. I've been to a couple other salons in the area and this was by far the nicest I've ever seen. I was very impressed at how clean and beautiful the salon was decorated. Very modern and cozy. The beds were really top of the line! The base bed was better then the top bed at the salon I USED to go to! And for once I could actually see great results within a few sessions WITHOUT buring myself! A great tan, a very nice salon, and very friendly and helpful employees! I couldn't ask for more!
I highly recommend this place to any tanners. They have taken the future of tanning to a whole new level! I'm definately going to continue to visit their salon. Worth every penny! Keep up the good work guys!

I've been driving by the new tanning salon called "bask" on my way to/ from work on Macadam and finally decided to stop in. They had top of the line beds and products. Bask was very clean and had a great ambience. I will defiantly recommend this tanning salon to everyone I know. Can't wait to get off from work tomorrow, order Garlic Jims pizza, and tan while I wait!

Best tanning salon I've ever been to!
The facility is beautifully designed! They went far beyond any other tanning salon I've seen with their emphasis on a relaxing atmosphere. The feeling is warm and comfortable the minute you walk through the door. I've seen high priced day spa's that don't even look this good! They are setting a high standards for tanning salons everywhere!
The beds were amazing! They filled this upscale salon with top of the line beds. Not only do the beds look amazing and high tech; they really are. I was never uncomfortably warm, the airconditioned bed kept me perfectly cool. It was like laying out in the sun on a summer day; which, is perfect for the Portlander at this time of year. I left with results! I had a glow immediatly and didn't burn. Not to mention the pricing was in my budget and far less than I was expecting for the results I've got.
The staff was perfectly friendly! I was greeted with a warm smile and addressed by name. They were very educated and helpful. They sought to find me the best deal for what I was looking for and what I needed. They seem to look forward to seeing me when I come in and truly care about my experience.
I can't speak highly enough! I want everybody to be able to have a tanning experience like I have! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I!
