Specializing in Japanese Style Acupuncture - Gentle and Effective
- Taking the time to understand
- Holistic approach
- Perfect for needle-phobics
"I am a tour guide to your body." In believing that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, I guide you to that place by a variety of techniques. Japanese Style is a gentle and nourishing form that emphasizes the root causes of disharmony in the body, using EXTREMELY fine needles. Being a detective, I look for how and where energy gets lodged and gently allow release to occur while educating you on how to prevent it from happening again. Education on preventative medicine is important. We get oil changes in our cars regularly even if they are running ok. Our bodies are the same; they need tune-ups to keep everything running smoothly.
There is no greater feeling to me than when someone comes into my office without hope and walks out empowered and changed. Watching peoples bodies, minds and spirits transform to their fullest potential is the greatest reward to me as a practioner.

Has changed my life in 3 sessions! AMAZING!!!
I have had sleeping problems as far back as I could remember. It had been well over 15 yrs since i had slept fully through the night. I had become dependent on taking tylenol pm or melatonin to even get some sleep. And was desperate to find a way, and Stephanie has been the answer to my parayers! After only 2 visits i took a trip out of state and figured even with the progress i had made it would be set back from sleeping in different places, to my absolute shock i slept and slept well on my trip. Since back i have had only 1 more session and am so Happy to say I am sleeping and without taking any sleep aids at all...
She has been such a blessing to my life. And highly recomend her!!! She is smart, funny and delight to be around :)
Pros: Tottaly works, friendly,

Great Energy, Great Healing
I was recommended to Stephanie by a friend who had done acupuncture several times before in her life for various things. Her office is just up the street from where I work, so scheduling an appointment during the day was easy. Stephanie is amazing. She spent two hours with me in the initial consult really taking the time to get to know me and my health history. Before my first actual treatment, I came down with a terrible chest cold. My friend told me that should I email Stephanie and see if she could recommend any helpful treatments in the meantime. Stephanie again took the time to find out exactly what my symptoms were before finally recommending some home treatments I could try. My first actual treatment was absolutely relaxing and wonderful. She specifically treated me to help relieve my cold symptoms and within 3 days of treatment, I was off prescription and over-the-counter cold medicine entirely. She has a wonderful, welcoming, fun energy and I highly recommend her!

Amazing Pain Relief
I have been suffering from chronic foot pain for nearly three years. After two years of seeing a podiatrist I was told that there was nothing they could do short of surgery that would alleviate the pain. I have been a weekly visitor to Stephanie's office ever since, and my quality of life continues to improve. She keeps my on my feet, running around at work and at home (though not literally, but maybe someday.) I am so glad to have the active lifestyle I need to be a happy person. The needles are nothing. For my treatments, which involve the soles of my feet in an already extremely inflamed and irritated area, it does hurt, but it is worth it. It also helps that she is a counselor of sorts, not only treating the physical problems I have, but me as a person. I look forward to my appointment with the needles every week.
Pros: Great practitioner, gentle touch.
Cons: none

Acupuncture that's not scary!
I was referred to Stephanie by my chiropractor for some back and jaw issues. I'd never tried acupuncture before, and was little nervous (I stopped donating blo0d to the Red Cross because I got teary-eyed just looking at the needles they use) about the needles. Stephanie was great at helping me feel comfortable, and I've discovered that it really doesn't hurt most of the time. Occasionally there's a little bit of a pinprick feeling that stings for a second, but nothing scary. In fact, going to see Stephanie is probably the most relaxing time of my week, and I've actually fallen asleep during a few different treatments! She has also done cupping on my back, which has helped loosen up my muscles and even my chiropractor has noticed the difference.
I love that I can go in to see Stephanie for my back and jaw, but if I'm having other problems she always is able to help. One day I had been experiencing knee pain at work and let her know that at the beginning of my appointment. By the time I left, the pain was gone! Before one treatment, I told her that I felt like I was coming down with a cold, and she prescribed Chinese herbs for me, which helped me get over the cold quickly.
The best part of Stephanie's practice is that she is absolutely committed to you taking part in your own health care. That, and she always has ridiculously bad jokes to tell you :) I've recommended Stephanie to my family and friends, even people who don't have a specific ailment. I think everyone could benefit from having her involved in their health, whether her role is to alleviate chronic pain, help overcome depression, or simply just to help you stay balanced.

A masterful and super caring healer
I can't recommend Stephanie highly enough. I came to her recently with an upper back strain that was leaving me short of breath and unable to do my dishes and laundry. Two days after my first (very comprehensive) session with her (and some good, much needed sleep), I felt better than I had in several weeks. It was truly amazing. I went from being barely able to lift an onion more than three inches away from my body to breathing freely and pulling open doors without catching my breath. I wasn't completely pain free to be sure, but I was moving and functioning much more fully and freely than I could before. I've continued to improve and feel at least 10 to 30 percent better after each visit, such that I felt back to 75% of former capacity within 5 visits, and am steadily improving. I also felt able to stop taking pain meds and icing a week after the first visit. Stephanie has given me much relief and hope through her very skilled and caring practice. As for the needles, I've had worse mosquito bites. I often don't even know they're in, and I'm highly sensitive. She is a true intuitive healer with a huge heart and caring soul. I recommend her for whatever ails you. Especially for anyone new to acupuncture.
Pros: Very responsive and caring
