Thanks Paccinis for offering a great place to hang out downtown. Great food, drinks, and staff, but your servers (the ladies of course) are foxy!!! I'll keep coming back as long as you keep pourin!

I like to go here when Im on campus for lunch. If you are in a hurry, I would not recomend it because the food seems to take longer then it should.

Pros: price. food.

Cons: slow service.

.

I was just recently introduced to Paccinis about five months ago and have been returning ever since. The food is pretty good and rather inexpensive (especially for the location). I like to go for lunch, but recommend ordering at the bar because you get better service. And at the bar I have continuously received nothing short of professional, prompt, and courteous service. Also, the blonde behind the bar has given me probably the best service I have ever recieved in a bar or a restaurant (even during their busy times), and felt it worth mentioning due to the review below. My friends (also female) also prefer her service as opposed to the other bartenders, not for lack of good service of others but for great service (and she is faster). Happy hour is great and definitely worth checking out, you can have dinner and drinks for under $20!

Pros: Great service, great food.

Cons: Abundance of college students, hard to find.

.

I love going here, I frequent this place. I'm a returning adult college student at PSU and I love having a place to unwind after class, before I head home on the streetcar. They have a great happy hour menu with lots to choose from, and great wine prices! My only caveat- if you are a female, and you are served by the blonde girl behind the bar- be prepared for *very* unenthusiastic service and a weak pour in your wine glass... If you are a male, you will get great service from her, of course. After a couple of glasses I usually forget and enjoy the atmosphere and my friends. I recommend trying this place, despite the other reviews.

Pros: great happy hour

Cons: the blonde behind the bar

The attitude of the female cashier was the worst, she made you feel like she doesn't want to work so badly. You can show that face inside the kitchen but not to customers. She just kept that face from taking your order to delivering your food which ruined my first time experience at Paccini.

I personally don't expect a smile, just dont want to see that angry/grumpy face.

Never want to go there again.

Pros: Food and price are okay, worth it.

Cons: Services is real bad.

.

Dirty tables, bad lighting, a bartender that delivered my food to the BAR instead of my table. Probably the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I've never in my life tipped zero gratuity before tonight. When I complained I was offered a feeble apology and an explanation "she's had complaints like this before"

Way to go guys!

I don't know that I would go here if I wasn't a student at PSU. The service is quite slow, and the pizza is pretty average. Their prices are good, though, and lunch specials are huge and under five dollars. The bar part is very convenient for campus, and the bartenders serve good drinks at a reasonable price. Can be packed, though. Not a bad place if you're on campus already.

Paccinis definitely absorbs the Portland State University dwellers, and the clientelle reflects it, but Paccinis is a great place to bring friends from anywhere in Portland. There food is competetively price, and tastes good, the drinks are diverse, and the bar-tenders very qualified.

Pool tables abound, and a TV to watch the game.

Well worth the trip, and guaranteed to have a good time.

Pros: Good Foods, Diverse Drinks, Great Service and Good Location

Cons: Food leaves room to be desired, but not by much

Since this is on the PSU campus, I've gone multiple times for the convenience. I finally said "NEVER AGAIN" after the last time. I've always ended up waiting forever to get my food, even when its practically empty. I went with a friend once and we ordered at the same time, but he got his meal 10+ minutes after me. If one dish takes longer to make, why don't you wait until its almost done to make the other thing? This isn't rocket science.

Food is inconsistent and bland, I haven't really enjoyed any pasta dishes I've had there (and I'm usually not too picky about pasta). Their marinara sauce tastes like watery tomato juice, but with less flavor. They put in giant pieces of onion to make up for it which doesn't really work. Pizza is alright but nothing special. The location is the only thing this place has going for it.

It's a great place for friendly gatherings and the food is good too! The ambiance is especially comforting. It's relatively inexpensive and I recommend it to anyone~

My Italian speaking group has been meeting at Paccini's weekly now for over a year. I don't know anyplace else where you can get a hearty, delicious sandwich with a bowl of home-made soup or tasty salad for $4.95. The spinach salad is a real treat as are most items on their menu. Paccini's is one of Portland's best kept secrets. OK, it lacks ambience, but I'll take good food at reasonable prices anytime of the day or night.

OKay so, maybe it's not the fastest place on campus but the food is pretty good. I just make sure I allow myself plenty of time when I am going in. If that's not an option for you then, maybe this isn't the place for a quick lunch. The garlic fries and sirloin burger are the best though. I have also joined coworkers after hours for a drink and found the bar a nice place to hang out. Happy hour prices are nice and gotta love PBR on tap. I recommend planning some time and giving it a shot.

I have never written a review on here before, but I saw that the only review for this restaurant was saying bad things so I wanted to add my own opinion. I have only been there a few times, but I enjoyed it all of those times. The cheesy bread is good and cheap! Also, the fried mozzarella is very good. The pizza is fairly decent. Some of the things are fairly expensive, but they seem to be worth it. Also, as being a PSU student, this is definitely a better option than the campus food. All and all it is a good restaurant. The service is sometimes a bit slow, but I never went there when I was in a rush.

Cons: wait time

.

I've tried this place many times, at least a half dozen times. The service is always terrible. I've stood in line while the cashier chats up a friend who is in line in front of me. This is while the line gets longer and longer behind me. This has happened multiple times. I've even seen workers talking on their cell phones while making food.

The service is just terrible. The food isn't all that great. I've ordered a ceasar wrap many times and each time it seems to be slightly different. The last time it was so bad that I haven't gone back since. The people I've gone with never enjoyed their food and often only eat half of it.

Service is always slow, which doesn't work well for a campus restaurant. I want to just grab something quick in between classes and tend to wait at least 15 minutes.. but it's often an even longer wait. This is even when there weren't very many other customers. For a restaurant on campus I would expect it to be much faster.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There isn't a single good reason to eat there. It's quite a stretch to even call it "Italian".
