Puppy Pals Playgroup has been a lifesaver for my family and our dog Cava. Cava is a very active dog and needs to be taken out for a few days or she becomes a terror. As long as she goes to playgroup, she comes home happy and tired. The group has also been a great way to help socialize her with other dogs. She loves going with the group every day (even our doormen have commented about how happy she seems). Allison and her group pick Cava up daily without fail and take the best care of her and the other dogs. I went with the group one day and saw how much fun they have and how well they are looked after. It is obvious that Allison truly cares about the dogs in her group and is phenomenal with them. We can't imagine life without Puppy Pals!

We signed our French Bulldog puppy Tyson up when he was 3 mos old, just about when he was allowed to go outside. My boyfriend and I would often work 12 hour days and didn't want our dog to become lonely and lazy. Puppy Pals sounded like the dream life for him... Every weekday Allison or Wally would pick him up with his leash, food, and clothing (when it was cold) and take him out for a day of adventures which included door to door service to the beach, trails, and state parks with his puppy friends. They delivered him back home worn out and with kisses and sometimes photos. He cultivated friendships, played tug of war, and was adored by his group. Ty went to camp till he was 9 mos. old, when we decided to relocate to LA. He's now 13 months old and is the most well-socialized, well-mannered dog we both know. We walk him off the leash and have never had a problem. He has no separation anxiety or food aggressions and also shares (toys and treats) and plays well with other dogs. He is very charming, athletic and has a lot of confidence. We think a lot of his easy going and charismatic personality is due to Allison and her very special Puppy Pals Play Group. They took amazing care of our baby and helped him grow up to be THE BEST dog he could be.

Puppy Pals is one of a kind. I can't think of any other group who gives dogs the individual attention like PPals does, or is so attentive to the dog owners' concerns. For a breakdown of about $35 a day for a few hours of exercise, and all transportation included, the rate is much better than a dog walker, and the dogs are socialized and exercised much better.

Not only do they go on great outings every week day, they have also watched my dogs overnight on weekends when I have gone away for business. I know that when my dogs were staying with one of the staffers, the owner was taking care of another dog from the pack, and she picked up my dogs and her staffer (on a Sunday!!) to go on a beach outing, just like they do on weekdays. I think that's exceptional service. I also had the pleasure a few months back of riding in the Jeep with two staffers and 5 dogs, and getting myself and my dogs dropped off together safely at home. I left feeling 100% confident about their service, safety, and dog-savvy skills. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I joined Puppy Pals Play Group 2 months ago with our amazing wonder dog Fangus. He is an outgoing 5 month old who needed lots of exercise. Puppy Pals goes to places we would like to go if we had a car to get there. Every day they pick up Fangus and take him to the all day camp which travels outside New York City to State Parks, Beaches and even Conneticut trails. Each day is a new adventure. My pup has never been happier and more exhausted. If you have a puppy that needs lots of exercise and feel guilty about him/her sitting around the apartment all day...believe me this is the greatest thing my husband and I have

Quite the contrary to Ms. Holly H, I was in the "said" Dog Run" at the same time Puppy Pals and their group of puppies pulled up. This extremely rude woman was whispering to her friend, and obviously upset at the fact "her" dog run was being used by "outsiders". I listened to, and overheard the entire conversation the OWNER of the group politely tried to have with Ms. Holly H, and Holly wouldn't listen to anything she had to say. The owner tried to explain that her staff was 2 minutes late, and that there are ALWAYS 1 person to every 3 dogs in the group (which is the parks rule!). There were 9 puppies in the park and 4 camp counselors! The owner explained further...and VERY politely that all the dogs are baby puppies, and that they are very friendly. There was one dog in the park (The owner??s personal dog) who has CANCER, and was having a bout of diarrhea. Holly screamed at the owner that the dog had diarrhea, and that she shouldn't be in the park at all. The owner of the group, who I have known personally for 2 years almost cried, and told her to please stop yelling and cursing? that her dog was not contagious, and had cancer. But This VERY irate horribly rude woman wouldn't stop. She just cursed at the owner of the group, took off, and left the park whispering to her friend. I personally know several dogs in Puppy Pals, and wish I had the money to put my dog in their group. They have always picked up after their dogs, had no problems in this particular run what so ever, and have been the safest most conscientious group I have witnessed as groups go. They mostly go to beaches, trails, and stay out of NYC anyway, which I now recommend, since there are such awful, hateful and ??clicky? people in this 165th street dog run. Avoid this run and its people...not Puppy Pals! They're great!

I found Puppy Pals online as I was searching desperately for a place my new puppy could play, and be safe while I was at work all day. I hadn't anticipated the amount of damage a young bored little one could do to my apartment when I had to leave daily for my job as a hard working Attorney! The Owner and her partner came over for a meeting with me and my "new baby". They gave me such hope that my apartment would no longer be a chewed up disaster, and that my puppy would have the adventures of a lifetime going to beaches and trails among other parks. I wanted to go myself! And that is when I found out that they even had a parents program for new puppy parents. We can ride along on any of their daily adventures, and experience for ourselves where they go and what they do. After one week with the group, my new dog was sleeping through the night and as promised, was too tired to chew anything in my home. This is an amazing concept and company, and the girls who run it are honest, lovely and professional.

This is written in response to "Barbara C" and her review of the Puppy Pals. I help run this playgroup and, to my knowledge, we have never had a client named Barbara. We also haven't had any six month old male puppies in the past 3 months.
For those who are reading this, please be aware that Allison and I recently had a negative interaction with a dog-walker in the 72nd st dog park who physically threatened one of our female employees in addition to responding in a volatile way when I asked him to please express any opinions or concerns to us in a more respectful manner. I believe that this review may be a retaliation of some sort.
Feel free to contact us and we will gladly provide you with references - clients of ours who have been with us for a very long time and who are very satisfied with the love and care given to their dogs.
