I am really surprised by all of these good reviews though it is why I selected Tommy in the first place. He was hardly responsive from the getgo but I figured that was because he was so good and busy so I tolerated it. He was a noshow for one appointment and never called after I had already left work early. Frustrating enough. However, my biggest complaint is that he ignored the insight from prior owners gardening attempts and our gardens shade conditions (which I stressed to him many times) and unfortunately failed with the majority of his plantings. While he did refund the money for the three most expensive items (which were COMPLETE failures), I havent heard anything from him on the other items. He continues to ignore my emails. I do understand that gardening is extremely challenging and unpredictable but I had expected an expert gardener to at least try again instead of just giving up (AND ignoring the customer)! Disappointing, unprofessional and ineffective!

Tommy transformed our neglected 90 foot Park Slope garden into a wonderful place with special spaces and beautiful plants. His knowledge and ability to interact made him a pleasure to work with.

Disappointing!

Urban Green City Gardens completely changed my terrace!

I recently relocated here from LA and was missing all my greenery and flowers. I had a rundown balcony in Windsor Terrace that they completely transformed. Both Thomas Little and Anthony Siniscalchi worked with me and they took the time to draw up various design plans and plant options - taking into consideration the size of my terrace, the sun and shade and the seasons in NY.
They answered all my questions, explored all my options and worked with my budget.
Now when I look out it's like being on the West Coast again. I love these guys!!
Pros: Artistic, transformational, stylized and amazing!
Cons: Not one!!

OH SO FABULOUS Urban Gardeners!

Tommy and his staff were absolutely wonderful, creative and professional. They took the time to listen and plan exactly what we wanted for our garden - simple, clean looking, easy-to-maintain, beautiful and of course at a reasonable price. In a course of 2 days, our garden was transformed from a forest of weeds to the Garden of Eden. We are delighted with the results and highly recommend their services.

Excellent gardener!

Creative gardener who works hard to integrate his clients' ideas into their garden using his extensive knowledge and expertise

I love to garden. But I needed a guide. Tommy has helped me transform my Park Slope garden from a wild, disorganized collection of just about everything to an integrated, visually beautiful and healthy garden. What I like about him most is his willingness to take my ideas and then put his master touch on what I do----based not only his artist's eye, but also also on his vast knowledge and expertise. Yet he is humble and open to suggestions and comments as we work together to figure out a plan. Moreover, he acknowledges what he doesn't know and will go home to research information about a plant or problem we identify. Overall, I find Tommy a pleasure to work with and highly recommend him---whether you are a gardener like me or want him to take on the entire project himself.

Beautiful Autumn Plantings

Tommy transformed my overgrown and dying garden into a beautiful haven. He was most professional, accomodating, highly personable, and reasonably priced. For as long as I have a garden, he will by my gardener. Also, since I've hired him, my climbing rose has exploded into life. Highly recommended!

Brownstone Garden

Tommy first started working on my extensively planted Terrace in Manhattan more than 12 years ago. He not only turned it into an amazing oasis for me, but it was the envy of the both the building I lived in as well as the surrounding buildings that looked down on my Terrace. I was always proudly amazed when stopped in the Lobby or on the Street by an unknown person who recognized me from my being out on my Terrace- always telling me how amazing my Garden was to look at. When I moved to a Brownstone in Brooklyn I never hesitated to take one of my most valuable assests- my Gardener Tommy!! My Brownstone Garden just like my Terrace quickly became the envy of the neighborhood. To this day 8 years later I have a neighbor that tells me I set the new standard for the block. Truth is Tommy was behind it all. I also have the local Garden Association begging to have my Garden featured on the annual tour. Personable, Highly Talented, and the best Prices in Town.

A True artist

Tom exceeded my expectations in making my garden everything that I had hoped for and more. In essence, he transformed my small yard into a getaway that is a natural extention of my home. I highly recommend him for anyone who aspires to the highest aesthetic but still wants someone who will give them the personal touch they need. He really listened to what I wanted and delivered with a great artistic eye.

Disappointing- Didn't show up

How disappointing! After several phone calls confirming an appointment to meet, and my husband and I rearranging our weekend plans to accommodate their availability, this company didn't show and didn't even have the courtesy to call to say that they couldn't keep the appointment! I had even specifically requested that they call that morning since i was canceling plans to suit their midday availability. When I finally reached a person on the phone they were "back in Park Slope" after I was still waiting past the scheduled meeting time and trying to contact their different numbers. I was given some excuses about having taken the wrong number earlier(and what happened now??), and told that the appointment could no longer be done for several days (of course, mid-week when I work). I was totally aggravated and apparently blown off without much thought. In this economy, Not a great way to show you care about customer service.

My experience with Urban Green (Tommy Little and Tony Siniscalchi) has been terrific from the get go -from the initial meeting all the way through the installation it was apparent that this team was different from gardeners that I've dealt with in the past. Their artistry and dedication to detail is unequaled to anything I've seen in the past and their business ethics are stellar to boot. They are truly a rare find and I cannot praise them highly enough.
