Okay...let me start by saying I feared the dentist like no other doctor....

After not having been to the dentist since high school (I'm 34), I met Dr. Plotnick.... when I was reminded she is a dentist, I made the mistake of telling her something happened to one of my teeth and I hadn't been able to chew anything on the left side of my mouth.... she was persistant about me going in...it worked.

I don't know what possessed me, but I booked an appointment during the week before work... first appointment of the day.... everyone in the office was so pleasant! (I'm not that pleasant in the morning...) I had a cleaning first, where the hygenist was extremely gentle in telling me my gums are a disaster... offered a procedure to clean them better, but she wasn't pushy at all. It's still my decision to make. She explained how I can better take care of them on a daily basis.

Then I saw Dr. Plotnick....I was still freaking out about my gums, but she was great because she mentioned the positive things first...no new cavities, good bite, etc.... The x-rays and exams showed that it was a filling that had fallen out and that's why it bothered me to chew on that side.... I was relieved (I was praying I didn't need a root canal or something)...

I ended up making several visits to the office after that...having my old fillings removed and replaced (no more silver teeth!!! they look beautiful!!)...and I was SHOCKED at how PAINLESS it was!!! She always told me to let her know if I felt any pain (only ONE time, and she gave me more novicane)....oh, and, I remember those shots being a LOT more painful was I was younger... now they have this awesome numbing gel they put on first.....If those damn drills were silent, I could have gone to sleep!! (they even gave me a blanket because I was cold!!!!)

I was EXCITED to go to the dentist, and to have the beautiful teeth I always wanted......(my kick ass insurance helped too)

Next up is Invisiline..... I can't wait!!!

I went to Dr Teichman's office to make my teeth appear better. I haven't been happy with the way it looked for a while, however I've been apprehensive about spending so much money and not knowing how my teeth would come out.

I have to say I've been delighted with the work Dr Teichman performed. He explained everything he was doing in a manner i could understand, which ultimately made me very comfortable. My teeth look great and I would recommend him to anyone.

A warm and welcoming staff that make you feel at ease, especially if you are a person that does not enjoy a trip to the dentist. The doctors and hygienists are professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind. They are located in a great area of brooklyn that is close to subway as well as the bus. Highly recommend if you are looking for a new dentist

My first experience with Dr. Teichman began sometime in 1972. It was just before my 8th year birthday so I was 7 years old at the time I first met him. Since that time he has been my only dentist. Need I say anymore? I will never forget when he had removed two impacted wisdom teeth. That was in the year 1988 and it was an experience that I still think of today. We pulled that tooth together---Him and I---as he worked it out of my lower jaw I pushed my jaw upwards with my fist--we did it---- gone forever! So my friends for the past 40 years I can honestly say he is great!

When an old cavity filling broke, I knew the massive hole it left would be a dental and financial nightmare without immediate repair. So you could probably imagine the fear and self-loathing embarrassment I felt hesitantly walking into Dr. Teichman's dental office eight months later. But without judgment (and a warm smile), Dr. Plotnick took a brave look at my neglected tooth and said, ""Daniel, good news! We're going to do everything we can to save it."" 20 minutes and 20 hearty numbed mouth laughs later and I was good as new. Better than new because now I have a favorite expert dentist at an affordable price.

Dr. Teichman, Dr. Ho, and Dr. Plotnick have re-instilled my trust in ""art"" of dentistry after not going to the dentist for over seven years. The staff were all very understanding and gentle, and most of all, made me feel comfortable. The dental hygienists are also wonderful and I couldn't believe how painless the cleanings were. I cannot forget Irina, the office manager, who helped me understand the insurance details and took care of all the billing. I definitely recommend this dental office for anyone who is looking for amazing, compassionate, and painless dentistry.

While researching for a new dentist last year, we can across reviews for Park Slope Dentistry on the Yelp web site. After reading the reviews and checking-out the web site, we decided to take a chance and schedule an appointment for dental cleanings and check-ups. Since then, we have no regrets about the business we have given them. In general, the office staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The office is clean and is equipped with the latest technology. There are three different dentists associated with Park Slope Dentistry, Dr. Teichman, Dr. Ho, and Dr. Plotnick.

We have primarily dealt with Dr. Ho and have been pleased with her services. Dr. Ho is ultra-professional and has a calming personality. Not only have we had our dental check-ups with Dr. Ho, but have also had crown work done. With previous experience, having crowns done can be a long and arduous process. But Dr. Ho has made the process alittle less painful and evidently she takes great pride and care with her work. I highly recommend Dr. Ho.

In addition for the dental cleanings, their dental hygienist, Mai, is awesome. She has a great personality, is very thorough with her cleanings, and takes pride in her work.

The office manager, Irina, is always a pleasure to deal with for scheduling appointments and works very hard with coordinating the necessary insurance paperwork.

Unlike our former dentist, we have never had to wait for more than a few minutes for our appointments. So far, they are on time and they have Saturday appointments.

Our former dentist was literally around the corner from our home, but could no longer deal with having to wait one to two hours for each scheduled appointment anymore. There were many times that we each had 6:00PM appointments after work and then would not get into the dentist chair until 8:00PM and then dealing with his staffs condescending attitude. We were just fed up with the former dentist and that made us start the search last year for a new dentist that resulted in finding Park Slope Dentistry.

The only negative aspect to Park Slope Dentistry is the parking. Parking is limited to the street and the Park Slope neighborhood is not very friendly for parking your car. Figure spending time finding a parking spot or bring a pocket full of quarters for the meter or make sure that you have someone with you that you can take turns on feeding the parking meter!

We are very glad to have found Park Slope Dentistry and will remain with them as long as they remain with their high standards (and as long as both Dr. Ho and Mai are part of the practice ;-)).

I found Dr. Teichman through a Groupon coupon (since I don't have dental insurance), and was very impressed with the high level of care, and the staff's professionalism. The staff is great, the offices are clean, and my experience was wonderful!

After turning 40 last year I realized it was time to get my mess of a mouth looked at. I had had a broken tooth last year and hadn't seen a dentist in well over a decade.
I had been avoiding it for a long time based on my old childhood fear of dentists and was truly scared when I made my first appointment.
The staff were very friendly and understanding of my fears. I was happy to hear that I would keep all my original teeth and we started a pretty intense schedule of appointments.
They were very gentle and worked at a my pace. After 3 months, I am a lot more comfortable about opening my mouth, my gums don't bleed when I brush my teeth and I don't even want to kill any of them.
Well done!

I've been coming to this office for probably ten years. I left briefly because of a change in my insurance and I came running back full of regret as soon as I could!
Dr. Teichman is a veteran - I always feel in great hands with him. Recently I have come in on a day when one of his newer associates, Dr. Plotnick, did a root canal for me, and she was awesome as well. They have the best of the experience plus new ideas going for them in this office, are always willing to work with me to make sure I can get the work done, and the staff really has their system down. I am so pleased that I can have such great medical practitioners right her in the Slope. And as a bonus, Denise, who is the hygenist who does my cleanings, -- well, after my first visit with her I remember saying ""WOW, I've never had a cleaning like that before! Just amazing!""

Having not gone to the dentist for 20 YEARS due to bad experiences as a child, I finally made an appointment to see Dr. Ho and the team.

From the moment I walked in the door, I was made to feel extremely comfortable, all of my questions were answered and the service was on time and impecible. The rooms are modern and have what seem to be the latest equipment.

I have since been back to get cavities filled and can't say enough about the staff and the level of service. I can't imagine going anywhere else for dental care.

I was very very fortunate to come across this practice when I needed to find a dentist in Park Slope. After neglecting dental check-ups for many years, I had some serious work done - of a great quality, and with minimum pain. Dr Teichman is a 100% perfectionist, and in addition he, as well as all his staff are superfriendly.

p.s. I had to bring my then 9-month-old baby along for one of my appointments. As it turned out, Dr Teichman is great with kids. I won't be surprised if my son once tells me that he loves visiting the dentist.

I've been going to Dr. Teichmann for more than 17 years. He and Dr. Ho are the consummate professionals and I use them interchangeably, depending on who's available. May is an excellent, no pain dental tech -- her cleanings are great. The staff is very helpful with filing insurance claims. I definitely recomment Park Slope Dentistry!\r

I first went to Dr. Teichmans office in the late 1990s when I lived in Park Slope. Although I moved to a different neighborhood a couple of years later, I have been commuting to Dr. Teichman ever since and never considered finding a dentist closer to my home. I had much dental work done over the years, always to my great satisfaction. Dr. Teichman is an excellent professional who always patiently explains the nature of my dental problems and outlines possible solutions. The office is well staffed, friendly and equipped with the latest technology. The wait is never long. Denise, Dr. Teichmans hygienist, is also wonderful. She is friendly, professional and efficient. I have no hesitation recommending Dr. Teichmans office and I referred friends to him over the years.

I highly recommend Dr. Teichman and his dental office. I have been a patient there for about 20 years. When I started there I had no children and now I bring my teen age daughter there. Dr. Teichman and his entire staff are extremely professional and at the same time friendly and welcoming. They are gentle and take the time to do things right. I trust their advice and never feel pushed to do any unnecessary work. They explain what needs to be done and why. I always feel comfortable that any questions and concerns I have are important to them. Denise, the hygienist who has cleaned my teeth for year and year is wonderful.

I've been to many dentists/periodontists/orthodontists (haven't had the best luck with my teeth over the years) and Dr. Teichman's office has the friendliest most professional staff I've encountered. I recently had an implant procedure and they did an excellent job with the crown which had to fit a newer Nobel active implant. Dr. Teichman consulted with Nobel and they even sent a representative to be present for the procedure. After it was over they ordered delicious pizza and shared some with me to give the tooth a test drive. Best pizza party ever.

I trust the staff here completely and if you're in the New York area it's worth a trip to Park Slope.

After many decades of loyalty to dentists, but still hiding
my teeth (no smiles), little did I realize that the answer was right in Park Slope. A resident of this neighborhood for for over forty years my daughter came to me and said ""I think I found the right dentist for you""! I walked in to Dr. Teichman's office and knew I was in the right place. His office is modern and he and his associates are ahead of the curve on modern dentistry. For the first time in decades I can smile and proudly show my teeth. By the way it does not hurt that all in his office are happy to see you and make you feel welcome.

In the past one week I have been to Dr. Teichman's office twice. Once for a cleaning and two days after that for a cavity filling. I have to say that both times was completely painless. This is a huge concern for me because the last time I had gone to a dentist was almost a decade ago. I was never able to go back because I had an awful experience getting my cavity fillings. I felt everything and more of everything. I knew that I would not ever go back to a dentist. That changed when I met Dr. Jennifer Plotnick at Dr. Teichman's office. I went in because my wisdom tooth was casuing me extreme pain. She made me feel so comfortable and promised me that the procedure (cavity filling) would not hurt. She was great, I really felt no pain. During my procedure, she even sang to me. I actually felt calm. It was a great experience.\r

I've been seeing Dr. Teichman since I was a kid. I am generally petrified of the dentist (I always have cavities) but Dr. Teichman and his staff always put me at ease, remember me and are generally very helpful and eager to answer my questions. It was time for a dental visit, and I knew it because I felt a pain in my tooth. I had come across a Groupon for an exam, cleaning, and x-rays. I was a little skeptical, but took a chance from reading several great reviews. It turned out that I had two cavities and needed a root canal. I have really good hygiene and the whole idea of a root canal really scared me, especially with a new dentist. Luckily all the employees at Park Slope Dentistry put me at ease and were super friendly and helpful. I entered the office each time with such comfort and left remarkably without pain. No joke, Dr. Plotnick was awesome. Don't let how cool and easy to talk to she is fool you. She was thorough, explained everything in the procedure, and hummed the latest indie music. She honestly made going to the dentist a painless experience, and my crown looks great! The facilities are clean, and the procedures were super fast. I would definitely recommend my friends to her.
The office is easily located a few blocks from the f/g train in Park Slope. The neighborhood is lovely, and the best part is you can treat yourself to Cafe grumpy one block away right after!

I have been here several times and the staff have always been friendly, timely and super-accommodating. I recently had a cracked tooth that led to a broken one and was in need of a root canal. I was extremely anxious so Dr. Jennifer Plotnick explained the procedure, said she would provide me with some nitrous oxide to ease my nerves and that I'd be just fine. I wanted to trust her - yet, in my mind, putting the words 'fine' and 'root canal' in the same sentence was simply crazy talk! Yet, as she started the process, I quickly realized she was right. The nitrous oxide immediately calmed me and I appreciated how she checked in with me throughout the process. She even sang to me (a free service she provides to certain lucky patients :) Correct lyrics are not guaranteed and for me, a Human League song will never be the same! Yes, I laughed during a root canal on a molar containing three nerves!! To top it off, she called me in the evening to see how I was feeling! Now, if that isn't customer service, I don't know what is! If you are in need of a professional, kind, witty dentist who honestly cares about her patients, look no further. How many people can say they like their dentist? I'm pleased to say I can! Thanks so much, Dr. Plotnick! :)

I bought a Groupon for a check up and cleaning last year and frankly, I was suspicious. It seemed kind of weird to have a coupon for the dentist but for some reason I took a chance.
I was delighted. A clean, extremely friendly office, the latest technology and perks for patients.
I had a really nice dentist in my old neighborhood but his staff was cranky. Every single person in this office is very pleasant, and competent.

If you are reading these reviews you know that it's all good. What can I possibly add to the great reviews written on Dr. Teichman and his great staff. Dr. Teichman is the best and his staff is equally as wonderful. Dr. Teichman did my first crowns in the 80's when I lived in Brooklyn. I was very happy with the work performed and the result. Soon after I moved to Suffolk County on Long and worked with other Dentists. I had the crowns replaced 10 years ago, by a good Dentist in a successful practice but I was never happy with the result. I hated my crowns and my smile and it undermined my confidence. After much thought, trepidation and more then 20 years I returned to Dr. Teichman. Dr, Teichman welcomed me with open arms but frankly told me that what I wanted was strictly cosmetic and until the old crowns were removed he would not know what condition the teeth were in. He thoroughly explained the good, the bad and the ugly to me. He told me to serioulsy consider starting this work. IT ALL WORKED OUT JUST FINE. IT WAS QUICK, PAINLESS AND I ONCE AGAIN LOVE MY SMILE AND I LOVE PARK SLOPE DENTISTRY! And I must add that I suffer from anxiety and that was a major concern from me. I had to make concessions if I was going to commit to this, so I didn't drive the 120 mile roundtrip. I got a few good books and took the LIRR to Dr. T and I was just fine.

Dr. Teichman and Dr. Ho have been caring for our family for about five years now. We've had nothing but positive experiences and the highest quality dental care.

I visited a few dentists in the area before finding Park Slope Dentistry and had some...very interesting experiences. I'm glad I kept searching. They have created a welcoming environment and the staff are competent and friendly. We couldn't ask for more.

I have been a lifelong patient of Dr. Teichman. They are top notch all the way, and are consumate professionals. Every member of the staff is wonderful and professional as well. I have nothing but glowing praise for them. Recently, they took me in an emergency and saw to it I got the exact help I needed to be comfortable (turned out it was a wisdom tooth extraction). If you are debating on a dentist - debate no longer, this is the best place you can go.

After thinking it was about time for a cleaning, I found this place online and made an appointment.\r
Dr. Jennifer Plotnick and the rest of the staff are frankly, the bomb. The cleaning was a breeze, and when I had to return for additional work, I was in great hands with Dr. Plotnick...she was able to do the whole thing without needles or pain at all (to my relief, I hate needles). Score. I even got to listen to 80's/90's hits during the process. Ace of Base anyone? She immediately made me feel comfortable with her witty charm and talked me through everything she did.\r
Plotnick and the entire office staff are adorable. From start to finish my experience was an extremely positive one, this is coming from a person who is normally afraid of going to the doctor. Dentist found.\r

Dr. Teichman actually makes going to the dentist pleasant experience. My family and I have been patients for several years now, and his care--as well as that of the others in his practice--has always been outstanding. In addition, he's always treated my daughter, who is extremely fearful, with tenderness (and nitrous oxide!), which has made things much easier for her. I used to think that I had to trek into Manhattan to see a good dentist. But Dr. Teichman has changed my mind forever. We're lucky to have him in the neighborhood!

I 'm so happy I found Dr. Teichman. I'd always been very embarrassed about my teeth to the point that I would usually cover my mouth when I smiled. I decided to fix my teeth once and for all and made an appointment with Dr. Teichman. I am so glad that I did! He recommended laminates to correct my issues and I now LOVE how I look. I was a bit nervous about having my teeth done at first but Dr. Teichman gave me nitrous oxide and that really helped. Now I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror! I never imagined I would have a smile I would be proud of. Thank you Dr. Teichman for making me smile again.

Shortly after I started visting Park Slope Dentistry, I saw a 20/20 special on unsanitary conditions by dental offices and how diseases can be passed on through these unclean practices. I was shocked how unsanitary many dentists can be. Needless to say, I was relieved to know that the signs of unsanitary practices were not the case at Park Slope Dentistry. At each visit, you can see them unwrap a new set of tools for each patient.\r

Aside from excellent sanitary practices, the staff is friendly, professional and everyone is patient with answering all questions about procedures, insurance, etc. Park Slope Dentistry also has kept current with the latest dental technology, bringing greatrt ease of service. Additionally the dentists remembers all their many patients, which I find to be a nice personal touch.\r

I highly recommend Park Slope Dentistry if you live in Brooklyn or even in the NYC area.

Dr. Teichman is a GREAT dentist. He managed to make someone like me who is afraid of the dentist relaxed and comfortable. I needed a root canal and he was very patient with me and my nervousness and my dozens of questions on exactly what I would feel. He took the time to explain exactly how the procedure would work and what to expect so that I was as comfortable as possible. I was really happy with the results.

The rest of the staff in his office is also really nice. His office manager went above and beyond in helping me to resolve my insurance issues.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Teichman!

Unlike most people, I dislike having metal rods and foreign instruments jammed into my mouth. I know, call me crazy. However, after moving often all of my adult life and seeing 7 dentists in that time, I can say with certainty that Park Slope Dentistry is the bestest. You say bestest isn't a word? That's because your dentist pales by comparison. Dr. Teichman is the senior dentist there - super straightforward and knowledgeable. Dr. Plotnick is a true professional - nothing short of gentle, informed, and witty. This is customer service at its highest level.

I haven't had a positive experience at a dentist in a long time, but I'm so glad I switched to Park Slope Dentistry. The location is conveniently located near the F train and the office is modern and immaculate. Dr. Plotnick was thorough, professional, and candid about my options. It's not cheap but you get top-notch treatment for your money. This place will change the way you feel about going to the dentist.

The ""value"" of this place really is 0. They steal insurance companies money. If your insurance rejects it after the work is done (maybe because they think x rays shouldn't cost over $200), you get stuck with a bill 5X higher than any other dentist. I got stuck with an unexpected bill. They have a Habit of letting people know late, VERY late; like after the work is done.

Everything about this experience was great - the ladies at the front desk were friendly, and then Anya (who took my x-rays) and Mae (who did my cleaning) both explained everything in detail before they did it. After the cleaning Dr. Jennifer Plotnick came in to examine my teeth. She was quick but thorough, gave me some tips, and made conversation about my profession and hers. I briefly met Dr. Teichman, who seemed nothing but charming.

It's always such a great thing to find a dentist you really like, and I'm sad I only found Park Slope Dentistry right before I move away. I would, without question, go back.

I went to Park Slope Dentistry through a discount program. They did a cleaning and exam and told me I had three cavities and needed over $2500 worth of work done. When I asked for a complete work order and copy of my xrays to consult with my godfather, who is a dentist, the dentist blurted, ""oh, the cavities don't show up on your xrays, but they're there."" I went to another dentist who found no cavities. Not one.
I guess the only way they make money when they use a discount program to bring in clients is to invent fake problems and charge you a boatload to fix them.
Their license should be revoked.

I've been to the office twice for a cleaning/check up and for whitening and have been very happy with my experiences at the office. All the staff are very friendly, regardless of who was seeing me for my visit. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed and its easy to tell that the office staff is a strong team that cares about their patients.

The hygienist who saw me (Denise ?) was great. She was very efficient in doing the cleaning and explained very well all elements of the cleaning and whitening. I could tell that she had a very good rapport with the Dr. as well, which made my checkup that much more effective. I don't have major issues with my teeth yet Dr. Plotnick gave me a thorough check up and good advice on how to keep it that way. I didn't see Dr. Teichman but chatted with him on my way out... he was interested in how my visit went and I got the impression that whoever I saw at the office, I'd be well taken care of.

So, all in all, a very satisfying dental experience. I'd write something about the waiting room or magazines but I've never spent more than a few moments there. Its always straight to the chair.

I am 25 and have been seeing Dr. Teichman since I was about 10 years old. Dr. Teichman is such a fabulous dentist that I still see him every time I return to New York, even though I've moved to California! He knows his patients very well, and works with you to make you comfortable and to make you feel in control. I am terrified of dental procedures, but Dr. Teichman puts me at ease. He has even filled my cavities without requiring novocaine! He makes certain that you are 100% satisfied with your care, and will adjust or redo any part of your care until you are thrilled. They also have the best technology to make sure your care is state-of-the-art, including completely electronic medical records, the newest xray and imaging equipment, and even tempurpedic dentist chairs. You can't go wrong with Drs. Teichman and Plotnick!

This was my first choice of Dental office after moving to Brooklyn. I can't say enough good things about the team at this office. They are so friendly and professional and take time with their clients to make sure they are getting the best treatment possible. I was always self conscious about my teeth but was too afraid to go to the dentist to take care of them. I went to Dr. Teichman based on a friend's recommendation and I am so happy I did! Dr. Teichman understood my nervousness and was very patient. He recommended a few different treatment options based on what I was looking for and after a few crowns, laminates and gum treatment, I am very happy with what my smile looks like. I went today, the office was big, clean, and had this x-ray machine I've never used at a dental office. I've taken x-rays at other offices taking 15 minutes and being very annoying especially when you're uncomfortable biting into this hard plastic thing. X-rays here took less than 5 minutes (stood up while the machine went around my head to take it). They did a thorough job cleaning (I don't know why I have so much plaque; even though I floss!). They were very good with explaining everything. Everyone was very friendly and professional.

UPDATE: I CAME BACK FOR CLEANING AND THE BILL CAME OUT TO $400!!! WHAT CAN I DO?? I PAID BECAUSE I WAS SCARED THEY WOULD CALL THE COPS

Dr Teichman is a perfectionist. His work is very professional and he explains everything including length of work and charges. Rarely do I find my appointments being pushed back and his work is top notch. I am big on going to the dentist and have been to many due to convenience of location. Several years ago I realized the convenience factor wasn't working and I would get myself to Dr Teichman's office. After several rounds of dentists, none could compare to his work.

His office manager was able to squeeze me in the same day as an emergency visit even though I was a first time patient. Dr. Teichman was great. He quickly identified the problem and was able to get rid of my pain. \r

Growing up, I had several bad experiences with different dentists, which led me to doing everything in my power to avoid my yearly check-ups That all changed when I visited Dr. Ron Teichmans clinic in Park slope a few years ago.
Ive since moved to another borough, and still commute happily to Park Slope Dentistry.
I love that I can book my appointment online, and that if I leave a message on their answering machine they call me back right away.
Once there-
The clinic is super clean and equipped with top of the line modern dental technology.
The entire staff is always kind and helpful and Ive never had to wait for my appointment- amazing!!

Dr. Teichman is one of the most personable and caring doctors Ive ever met. He always explains everything, shows me what needs to be done on a monitor and goes over all the options with me prior to the treatment

On my last visit I told Dr. Teichman that my brother, who recently moved to Seattle, was experiencing a bad toothache. Dr. Teichman not only recommended a few doctors in the Seattle area, but also offered his time to speak with my brother over the phone.
I am so appreciative for his wonderful work and for making all those visits so positive!

Having not gone to a dentist for a number of years, I was recommended to visit Dr. Teichman and I'm glad I did. From start to finish I was totally satisfied with all the work I had done which was extensive (had 2 crowns/root cana/inlay and a lot of gum work done as well as Zoom whitening). If you are afraid of pain, during my whole entire time I visited not one time I felt any (I know some of you don't visit dentists for that reason). When working on my mouth Dr. Teichman was always concerned about if I felt any pain which was comforting. All equipment he uses are state of the art, office is clean. He and his staff all professional, and very friendly, and his hygenist Denise is excellent at what she does. I""M glad I took the advice because I have found my full time dentist.\r

As a patient of Dr. Teichman for over 12 years, I can say that he and his office have successfully diagnosed and treated every dental concern that I have had, from basic ""repair and maintenance"" to the complexity of a root canal.
From a purely clinical standpoint, a visit to this office is exactly what a patient would want--current technology in terms of equipment and knowledge, spot-on diagnosis, and efficient, pain-free execution of necessary work. The office also provides a comfortable physical environment, and as a pleasant bonus, a friendly, concerned staff.

For a number of years after a friend in the neighborhood recommended Dr. Teichman, most of my visits were for cleaning and check-ups. Denise is a highly skilled hygienist, and a pleasant, positive person who clearly cares about her work and her patients. She has also administered the Zoom cleaning, which was well worth it. Recently, as my ""pre-teichman"" crowns have been wearing out, more extensive work has been required. All necessary work is performed quickly and efficiently by Dr. Teichman. In addition, his willingness to explain his diagnoses and any options available is always appreciated. This extra concern for the patient is pretty rare these days in medicine. Many professionals don't seem to want to take the time to explain or listen. Finally, on the administrative side, Sophia always will happily answer questions about billings and insurance benefits, and accommodate one's schedule for visits. This is an office which has everything a patient could want or need in dental care.

I had to search for a dentist nine years ago after my dentist of many years retired. I have a good friend who recommended that I see Dr. Teichman. I had always complimented my friend on his unique killer smile.

At my friends suggestion I contacted Dr. T's office and was sen for a check up and consultation. Truth be told I had always wanted to improve my smile. Dr. T took care of me and recommended some subtle interventions that would improve my overall dental health and appearance.

I followed his advice, as I was impressed with his knowledge. I could see that his office was equipped with cutting edge technology and equipment. Over the past nine years I have developed a relationship with Dr. T and his staff. They are all courteous and professional.

Today I went to the office. As I was seated in the examination room, the dental assistant greeted me. When I said ""Hello"", the assistant spontaneously said to me. ""Your teeth look so nice, so white!"" I was taken by her comment, as it confirmed that Dr. T had done a great job in improving my general looks and overall dental health. The two reasons why I sought out his care initially. It felt great to get that feedback. I am still smiling. Thanks Dr.T, you are the best!!

Thank goodness I found Dr. Teichman! For years I have had to drag my daughter to the dentist. She had a bad experience with a dentist a few years ago (wisdom teeth pulled, not enough novacaine) and has a genuine fear of the dentist. I arrived at Dr. Teichman's office through a recommendation from one of my friends who takes her kids there. He was worth the trip! I live in Manhattan and would have traveled twice the distance after seeing how patient he was with my daughter. Dr. Teichman explained everything very carefully to my daughter and spoke to her directly which I think helped (rather than talk to me ""the mom""). He was very thorough, knowledgeable and is a great dentist. \r

When my daughter and I left Dr.Teichman's office, my daughter said that while going to the dentist is not exactly a party, she wants Dr. Teichman to be her dentist from now on. She said Dr. Teichman ""made her feel better.""\r

I have been a client of Dr. Teichman's for 8 years. I am 40 yoa and have never had a better Dentist. Teichman's style is direct, clear AND compassionate...which I have never experienced in another professional of his caliber. He has provided me with most of the dental services that anyone could require from serious to simple and has always worked with me in identifying options, i.e., weighing cost within my budget and my health and cosmetic goals. While I, frankly, found his office a bit cold on my first two visits (different receptionist at the time) having developed a relationship with them, I always feel welcome and that they are genuinely happy to see me, since. Dr. Teichman is happy and committed to being a great Dentist. He is truly engaged in his work and art. I am confident in him and relaxed with him, which is an awful lot to expect from a dental visit. \r

My mum was visiting from the UK and had an emergency. Her tooth fell out on a saturday morning and after trying a number of dental offices, Dr Teichmann was able to fit her in between patients. He did the job very speedily and effectively and was amazingly inexpensive.

I have been going to Dr. Teichman for more than 10 years, a bit after I moved to the neighborhood. I first came because a previous (Manhattan) dentist closed up a root canal while there was clearly still a problem. Dr. Teichman worked diligently to get it fixed and me pain free. While going to the dentist is never a fun time, this is as close to a perfect dental experience as one could have. No, he is not cheap, but I'm not sure any dentist is these days, especially one that is so great. Dr. Teichman is patient and meticulous.\r

Denise is as fabulous as mentioned in the other posts-she is the only hygienist I've used there. And Dr.Ho is also really wonderful-careful and conscientious. Very clean offices, state of the art equipment.\r

Its a wonderful and well run office-there are only pros, no cons!

The office is very clean and the wait is never too long. What some reviewers say about incorrect quotes is very much true. Sophia can be in turn very sweet and helpful (re scheduling), or unbelievably rude and nasty - it really just depends on the day and if you're asking for something that pertains to billing backup. To be honest, I go here because they have THE BEST technician I have ever had doing the regular cleans. If you go, be sure to ask for Denise. She's fantastic - taking the time to explain what she's doing, making sure that she's being thorough and yet not ripping up your gums! She makes constructive suggestions about your tooth regimen without being too ""dentally righteous"", as some can be. I can't rave enough. All the x-ray techs I've had here are great too. Unfortunately, the other cleaning technicians are truly terrible: generally sloppy and PAINFUL. My husband had the lovely experience this winter of a teeth cleaning with a tech that was obviously ill: sniffling and sneezing all over the place. Ew. (Needless to say, that visit was cut short!) Dr. Teichman's colleague, DrHo (that is her name), is also a boon to the practice: young, bright, very down to earth, and someone who listens to her patients.

Dr. Teichman is the best dentist in Brooklyn ? bar none! After a decidedly un-gentle experience at Gentle Dental in the Slope, Dr. Teichman was recommended to me by a colleague. I could tell things would be different right from the beginning ? the kind receptionist made my appointment easily ? and they?re open on Saturdays! Then, when I arrived, I was greeted by comfortable, modern furniture, a large LCD television, and another kind receptionist. Best of all, unlike at most other healthcare appointments in this city, I was seen within five minutes of arrival.\r

This high level of customer service continued throughout the cleaning. The hygienist was extremely friendly and took the time to get to know me better before starting. She was very thorough, going far above and beyond the perfunctory 10-minute scrapings I?ve received elsewhere. But she was also sensitive to my needs, stopping to make sure that I was comfortable. And at the conclusion of the cleaning, she gave me great advice on home hygiene without making me feel guilty.\r

Finally, the terrific experience concluded with a visit from Dr. Teichman. Waiting no longer than a few minutes to see him, he went over my X-rays with me, showing me exactly how my teeth were doing on the high-tech monitor installed in the room. Just as friendly as his staff, he spent some time learning more about me, explained my options clearly, and gave me full confidence that my teeth were in good hands!\r

All in all, I couldn?t have asked for a better trip to the dentist.

I was referred to Dr Teichman via a work colleague to address an unfortunate cycling accident I was the vicitim of. Lets just say my teeth 'got moved around a bit'. He took me in right away and very clearly explained the work that needed to be done. After a few crowns and veneers I was back in business. If you ask my wife, I look better now then before. Dr T. was very calm, professional and I felt very comfortable in his office. I highly recommend him.

I'VE BEEN A PATIENT FOR OVER 5 YEARS, AND I THINK DR. TEICHMAN IS A THOROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL DENTIST. THE OFFICE IS VERY CLEAN AND STATE OF THE ART. THE STAFF IS FREINDLY AND THE APPOINTMENTS ARE CONVENIENT.SOFIA STAYS ON TOP OF THE REMINDERS. MY WIFE IS ALSO A PATIENT. I FIND THAT MY MONEY IS WELL SPENT.

Too expensive, other dentists are cheaper. I realized too late. I asked how much it would be and the final bill was much more than what the office manager quoted me.

I didn't have a good ex[perience at all. The dentist is the most expensive around which I found out too late. Sophia didn't tell me the truth about what it would cost. I will not recommend this dentist to anyone.

A highly-skilled, sensitive, and astute dentist, devoted to aesthetic outcome, with the willingness to listen as well as do what it takes to make the patient happy. The office staff is congenial and friendly. Overall, as wonderful an experience as one can have in a dental chair. ( I had a crown made for a back molar, completed beautifully and painlessly, in two visits. I am a patient afraid of dentists, so this wasn't easy for me.) All the new technology. Highly recommended!

I have been a patient of Dr Teichman for many years. I had very bad gums and it had gotten to the point where I could not eat anything solid without terrible pain. I was losing my teeth and would not smile even with pictures with my new granddaughter. I could no longer put off going to see Dr. Teichman.\r

I went to Dr. Teichman and he sat me in the chair and told me that my teeth were beyond saving but he promised to make my smile beautiful.\r

He explained everything he was going to do to me. He pulled the teeth I had left and talked to me and told me it was okay to cry alittle. The crying was more from losing my teeth than the minimal pain I felt. He was beside me every step of the way. I looked forward to going to his office weekly and being greeted by everyone like family. He kept telling me how beautiful my smile would be when he was done.\r

The day he put my new dentures in my mouth I looked in the mirror and wanted to cry. He kept his promise and then some with the beautiful work he had done. I walked out into the office and everyone told me how beautiful my smile was. \r

Everyone compliments me on my beautiful smile. I love to take pictures now and smile alot.\r

Thank you Dr Teichman for giving me back my smile and making me feel beautiful. \r

Dr. Teichman has treated me for over 10 years. He is a wondeful caring dentist who always makes me feel at ease in his chair. He thoroughly explains all necessary dental proceedures and gives several options for restorative treatment. \r

His staff is always warm and professional. I am very happy with the care I receive in his office and would highly recommend Park Slope Dentistry.

I went to see Dr. Teichman based on the recommendation from a friend, and I'm glad I did so. From the beginning he was willing to spend time understanding the problem and providing different solutions. It's not often that I run across experts in their field that are willing to help others make the best choice they can. His staff are personable and courteous. Overall I'm lucky to be able to rely on his care.

I recently visited Dr Teichman to address my less than perfect teeth - specifically I wanted to address the aesthetics of my front teeth. \r

Overall I was quite pleased with the quality of Dr Teichmans work. He clearly articulated my potential options, and significantly improved the overall appearance of my smile. it was clear to me that Dr Teichman takes a great deal of pride in his work, which I found very comforting for the type of work he was doing for me. \r

I live in Paris. While on a short-term visit to Brooklyn in January 2007, I required emergency dental assistance. Not only was Dr. Teichmann willing to see me on short notice but he provided me with the full range of required dental services (not just some temporary fix but fully-fledged, restoration work). Dr. Teichmann offered patient and comprehensive explanations and genuinely took his time to make sure that I had understood all the implications of the medical procedures. He then proceeded to devote the necessary amount of time to the surgery. I felt extremely comfortable in Dr Teichmann?s hands and did not feel that I was being rushed at any point. Six months later, I continue to think that I received most excellent care. I would unhesitatingly recommend Dr. Teichmann! I was lucky to find him.

Its been a few years since I've been to see a dentist. I found him through citysearch, and have to say, I found the reviews to be true. He's has nice pleasont demeanor, explains all the procedures, and you can even watch tv while he works on you. \r

I was impressed how quickly he was able to diagnose my problem, and he has what looks like the latest dental technology that made my office visit a quick and painless one. \r

I see Dr. Ho at this office, and she is wonderful. Having had an embarrassing history of bursting into tears at the dentist's office as a child... and as a teen... and as an adult, I was as nervous as can be during my first visit here--my first dentist visit in years. Much to my chagrin, I was told I had several cavities and would need a root canal. When root canal time came, Dr. Ho patiently detailed the entire process with incredible gentleness. Still, I braced myself as the chair was leaned back. But throughout the whole root canal, I felt no pain! I was astounded! She even let me rest my jaw at various intervals, and kept me informed of her progress.\r

I've met Dr. Teichman, and he seemed very friendly and nice. With the number of (non-crying) kids that I've seen at this office, I can only assume that he, too, is as gentle as Dr. Ho.\r

I never imagined I'd ever be a fan of a dentist, but here I am. I'll definitely be sticking with them.

I went to Dr. Teichman's office for a checkup and teeth whitening. I was very happy with the results and with the way that he took the time to explain everything to me. I was a little nervous and he did not make me feel rushed. What was also great is that his office is open on Saturdays which makes it alot easier for people that work late hours during the week. I would definitely recommend him as a dentist.

I've been going to Dr. Teichman since I was a kid. I have since moved out of Park Slope to the city but still go to Dr. Teichman when I need to go to the dentist. He does great work and always makes sure you are as comfortable as possible. I recently had to have 2 wisdom teeth removed and I didn't feel a thing the whole time. The hygenists also give really good teeth cleanings.

I've always been afraid of the dentist and have neglected my teeth for years as a result. I was referred to Dr. Teichman by a friend and he was very understanding of my fears. I ended up needing a root canal and had a few cavities and he was very patient with me throughout the entire procedure. I will definitely not be so neglectful with my teeth again because of how well I was treated. I am even thinking of getting my teeth whitened!
