5 Stars: they made my car HAPPY! (by carissad)

My car is HAPPY now! Pinnacle Automotive is top-notch! I have always dreaded taking my car in for service because? well?I don?t have a lot of trust for mechanics/the auto industry- I think part of it is made up in my head (they just want to take advantage of me) and part of it is warranted (they HAVE taken advantage of me). However, this DOESN?T apply to Pinnacle. From my first phone call [filled with questions], to the time that they handed my keys back over to me after fixing my baby (car) up, the experience was positive. Now, I?m not saying that WHAT they told me was positive (I had a bunch of broken and cracked tubes of some sort in my engine), but the respectful and empathetic manner in which they [Mark] shared the news was a welcome change from what I?ve experienced before. I have to say, I really DO like my dealership- they are really nice too, but Pinnacle did the same work for half the price. Thanks, Pinnacle Automotive, for making my car AND I HAPPY! ?

5 Stars: Honesty Describes This Place (by Pinnacle Automotive)

I purchased a 3 series (used) in October 2008. A light came on so I took it to Pinnacle "in the blind." I didn't know anything about their business. Kevin called me. He informed me that I still had some warranty left and that he suggested I take it to the dealer (Leith BMW) which I did at no charge. How honest can you get? I recently bought a used 5 Series and took it last week to Pinnacle thinking it may need brakes. Kevin surveyed the brakes and said they were fine. He said someone had installed a less expensive set of brakes but they would be as safe as any others. Too bad they don't fix televisions.

5 Stars: Very satisfied (by jgs1951)

I had a difficult EGR system problem with my vehicle. And the technicians were able to pinpoint the DPFE sensor. I am a do it yourself person and they told me where I could get a good sensor. They are very good and willing to share information with the customer.

5 Stars: #1 Source for auto repairs!! (by ScottIden)

Trustworthy, dependable, honest... all terms that fully describe Kevin, his family and the excellent work provided by Pinnacle. It was by simple good fortune that we found Kevin & his family to help us with our daughter's 1995 Saab convertible. A new Transmission, CV drive joints and clutch was expertly completed and on time. Her car really drives like new. Kevin gave us a fair and extremely competitive price for all the work completed. Our sincere thanks to all of you. We have found our new mechanic shop for all of our vehicles and look forward to working with you all for any and all of our vehicle repair needs.

4 Stars: Pinnacle Automotive (by Julie S.)

Our BMW had a light that kept coming on. We took it to other shops and that would charge us to look at the problem and tell us the computer didn't find any problems and turn it off. It would come back on it a short time. When I stopped in at Pinnacle to schedule an appointment to have this and a couple of other things looked at they pulled the car in right away. The light never came back on again. I was satisfied with the work and the price. Nice Family owned and run business.

1 Stars: Not a good look. (by eclemmons)

I went to pinncale today for a concern about a service engine light. They let me in first, ,because no one was there. After about 45 mintues, the technician came out and said there was no problem with my exhaust system, but he "reset the computer" . He was quick to add that my oil level sensor was faulty, and wanted to quote me a price for that. After that I was given a $96 bill for him "reseting" the sensor. He said I needed to go to the dealership for some type of program that needed to be downloaded to the car. If he knew that, why charge me $96 dollar to reset a light, that came on 2HOURS later! i called them back as soon as it came back on. Again they referred me back to the main dealership for the problem. I just hate the fact that they take advantage of hard working women like that. I am not trying to gain pity or sympathy, but $96 is a bit much for pushing a few buttons. Those guys knew that light would come back on., but what hurts the most is that it came back on the SAME DAY! I literally gave them $96 dollars for nothin. This is the last time I will ever do business with them again. I should not have went today, considering how my brakes were takin care of as well. Brand new brakes and shoes, and they squeak and squeal as if they were never changed. Hmmmmm go figure.

5 Stars: They are experts that really care about their customers (by mtb312000)

These guys are experts. And I'm confident that if there is something they can't do, they'll tell me up-front. They repaired my brake rotors, windows, AC, and in the process, fixed an inherent engine problem with my particular make of vehicle. Everything was fixed correctly. Everyone was accomodating, informative, and polite. And when they told me that customer satisfaction was there number one priority, I already knew. They understand that true customer service is a state of mind; not just a policy.

5 Stars: Great Service and a Great Place! (by Raymack)

I do most of my auto work myself, but when I'm in a pinch, they are great! I once had a radio that didn't work in years. I took my car to have a fuel filter probelm fixed. When I received my car, both the filter problem and the radio worked, which saved me a couple hundred dollars! Kevin and the staff always have great service and everyone is friendly. It's great to see a business that recognizes that good service is the key!

5 Stars: Best of the best... (by DDenic)

I have been to many repair shops in the Raleigh area including the dealership (BMW) and I'm very impressed with what I'm getting at Pinnacle in terms of quality, price, and overall service experience. They have saved me over $500 on the most recent visit as I was told I needed a laundry list of items for my BMW M3. In fact, I only needed a few items and the car is now perfect. Their rates are extremely reasonable... how many repair shops can you make that statement...

Don't spend more than you have to. Trust me on this... go to Pinnacle for all your automotive repair and preventive maintenance needs. They can be fully trusted with you vehicle in every way.

5 Stars: Customer-Driven, Consistent and Affordable Service (by RaleighwoodConsumer)

I would rate the service at Pinnacle higher than that of ANY dealership or auto service center I have visited, INCLUDING Honda which is known for dedicated account managers and the like (sorry guys, you're a close second here in Raleigh). The team at Pinnacle has delivered great service to me on my Subaru Outback 2.5XT, and my wife's Durango. Notice on their website the certifications these guys hold, and their level of expertise; that is recognized when you enter the shop. These guys love their work, and are car enthusiasts. Kevin, the owner, is always knowledgeable, accessible and able to provide tips and answers to my questions. With recommended maintenance and repair, they have always provided me with TWO quotes so that I can weigh all options; I have noticed this practice with other customers in the waiting area also. I have compared quotes they have given me, and they are consistently competitive. And, the waiting room is equipped with hot coffee, a big screen TV (with digital cable), huge comfortable couches and free wi-fi. The overall staff is helpful and friendly. If you drive a Porsche or a Datsun, come to Pinnacle for all of your repair needs. I LITERALLY have NEVER been as satisfied with any proprietor, regardless of service, as I am with Pinnacle.

1 Stars: Would not use this shop ever again!!!!! (by Kbalcon)

Took my car in for a check engine light, paid them 120 dollars to fix the problem. 50 miles later the light was back on. When I called to talk with Kevin, he told me he would research and get back to me. Needless to say,
I never heard back from him. Nothing is worse than someone telling you they are looking in to it for you, only to find out they could care less.

5 Stars: So glad we found them! (by Theresa E.)

I recently was having problems starting my car and was told to go to Pinniacle and they would take care of me. They were so right!
I needed the terminals changed on my battery and they did a 30 point check on the rest of my car. They told me what repairs I needed immediately and what could wait. I found them to be very trustworthy and honest which is a trait very hard to find now a days. We are bringing all our cars there for servicing and we are very pleased with the service we have received. The staff is very friendly and professional. Don't know why we never heard of them before but I highly recommend them to everyone.

5 Stars: Attention Ladies!!!!!!! (by mizzbenzcoupe)

It was time for a B service on my CLK 430......and I don't just let anyone under her hood....took my baby straight to these guys and she rides better than ever!!!!!!!!! It's not your average shop they should change the name to "The Comfort Zone". Their waiting area is very pleasant and pleasingly smells like apple cinnamon. So comfortable and quiet I fell asleep on the couch (LOL)....almost forgot where I was for a minute. Its a great family owned business. Everyone is very nice and they stand behind their work 100%. If you are a female and you have no idea where to take your car for GREAT service please take me on my word when I say these guys get the job done RIGHT. I'm pretty tight on a dollar.....always lookin for ways to cut corners and get the best value at the same time !!! I refused to take my car to a Mercedes dealership where the service prices are ridiculously out the sunroof when there is another automotive shop that can do the exact same service for half the price or better.Pinnacles prices are very reasonable and they let you know what's going on with your vehicle every step of the way. If you value your vehicle, time, and the money that your spending for dependable work (as I do) pull into Pinnacle. Welllll.....go on....hurry up ...... what you waitin' for call and make an appointment already........see you guys soon for my A service!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again ;)

5 Stars: Fantastic Customer Service (by Huspek)

Being new to this area, I was in search of an auto shop that will take care of my needs. Honnestly, I have never been treated so fair and honnest in my life until I started going to Pinniacle Auto. This is no joke, these people are "real". Chris, Kevin and Chase. What a family! They were raised to do honest work and to be fair in delivering it. I have had them do much work on my 92 Cadilac. Every single visit was the same - "excellent workmanship" and "excellent and professional customer service". And get this, they stand behind their work too. Try getting that consistantly from other auto shops. They are very creative in problem resolution, and sometimes offer several differnt solutions a customer can chooose from. This gives the customer a feeling of control over the excellent service they provide. They are in business for the customer. And thats us!
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! and thank you.

5 Stars: Just go here and nowhere else (by AdamParker)

My friend referred me to Pinnacle. Stupidly, I went to a dealership first. The dealership wrote the car up to the tune of $650, not money that I had. Worse, Southern States Nissan charged me $115 just to look at the car!

It's a completely different world when you go to Pinnacle. Everybody there is NICE. They treat you like a person, they tell you everything that could even be remotely wrong with the car, but then they are honest in the appraisals of what you should fix and when you should fix it. The prices are more than fair, and they are just genuinely interested in making sure that your car works like it is supposed to.

If you don't believe me, just go there for an oil change and try it out. You'll be family in no time!

5 Stars: Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great service (by Spiz)

I'm a first time customer, new to the Raleigh area, and found Pinnacle through a search of Triangle citysearch. My 1995 Nissan Quest had a loose transmission handle on the steering column. The local Nissan dealer wanted $115 just to look at the car. I called Pinnacle and they said they had seen this before, and it was likely a loose bushing that would cost about $100 to repair. I made an appointment for 9am the next morning, and they had me out in 30 minutes with a $38 bill. If first impressions are lasting, then I'm a customer for life.

5 Stars: Best Automotive Repair Period.... (by jasonwatkins)

This is a family owned buisness, by what I would have to say some of the nicest people you will ever meet... Complete honest, will bend over backwards to help you, as freindly as if you'd known them for 10 years.....I just showed up completely unannouced with a huge problem on my car, from faulty work done by another shop, and these guys really helped me out, cleaned up the mess and found the real problem, Then they only charged me for about have of the hours of labor they put into it... They see everything from BMW, to Saab, To your muscle cars....They can do it all, and do it well....I highly recommend them, and I know my family and I will not be going anywere else in the future,....Thanks again guys. I just can't say enough about you guys...You're the best.......

5 Stars: Look no further for reliable, honest service for your vehicle delivered with a very personal touch. (by indibene)

As an owner of a 99 Saab, I have come to know my mechanic better than I would like. That said, I have no complaints about the service received at Pinnacle. Thay have always been able to work me in quickly for whatever new noise I hear and have always taken care of the problem. They stand behind their work and they don't try to sell you things that you don't need. My latest service took care of an ongoing issue that another European automotive service station quoted to me at $230 and the dealership close to $500. Pinnacle took care of the problem for $38 and some change.
My knowledge of mechanics is limited to whatever problems I have had in the past, but I am not intimidated to bring my car here. Kevin, Chris & Chase have not only my vote for City's Best, but also my business.

Kevin and his brothers were great. I took an 83 jeep there with several problems. Although I am sure they wish they had never seen that jeep, they worked on it until they got it done right. Same thing with my 93 Landcruiser. Finding a repair shop that sticks by what they say is nearly impossible to do. We all go to the dealer because we are afraid to go to a small shop. Then the dealers just take us for everything we have. This is one shop you can trust. I have recommended them to lots of friends. I know that is where they will be going when they need a repair. You should too! Only reason to ever go to the dealer again is for warranty work, nothing else.

5 Stars: Repairs Subaru's ,Excellent service (by Cuck)

Kevin's family owned business was well recomended by an auto dealer. I brought my new(2000 subaru) to Kevins shop and Kevin's excellent mechanics made many needed repairs to make the car safe for my high school daughter to drive. They did axle work, break repair,Timeing belt replacement and assorted electrical repairs. The work was done in a short amount of time and kevin saved me a fair amount of money on both parts and labor that most auto repairs don't . Kevin's honesty and helpfullness and comitment to customer satisfaction has earned all maintenence business for my wifes car and my truck. Thanks again !

5 Stars: Great Auto Repair (by Puddlesmom)

I needed to get my car inspected and i had a problem with a tailgate light. I put several new bulbs in and could not get it to stay on. I needed to get this fixed in order to get my car inspected and pass. I called several shops in the area, I was told that it needed a new socket and or a getting my electrical system board fixed, all of which would be quite costly. I called Pinnacle Automotive and spoke with Kevin, he squeezed me in, had his mechanic look at the car and found the problem to be minor, just needed a little tweaking. They inspected the car and I passed, I was on my way within an hour!

They were very efficient and honest. I will be back there for all my oil changes as well as a minor repair needed. Great people and honest!

5 Stars: The Best Place for Auto Repair in the Triangle (by Icarus6880)

Very fast service. I had to get in and out in one day in order to go back to college out of state. They got it done. Everyone I encountered at Pinnacle was knowledgable, honest, friendly, and professional. Much better overall than other import auto repair shops I have been to.

5 Stars: Excellent customer service (by atiyam)

I love getting my oil changed now, because of the customer service here. I appreciate the honesty demonstrated by the owner (even when it meant I would go with a national chain to get a warranty for new tires). I highly recommend this business for all of your automotive needs.

5 Stars: Exemplary Customer Services & Overall Great Experience (by amandaca)

Kevin & Chase at Pinnacle made a trip to the mechanic fun -- something I never thought I would say about such a chore. These guys were so helpful & clearly invested in me & my car. As a female I felt comfortable; they weren't a bit condescending or rude. They took extra time, answered all our questions, and went above and beyond. They have a great business going, they obviously love what they do, and I would recommend them highly to anyone.

I always appreciate great customer service and found that at Pinnacle. They were friendly and helpful and I was able to drop my Honda off in the morning for a 95,000 mile maintenance and had it back that afternoon. Keep up the great service. Thanks!

5 Stars: Friendly and helpful (by persephone60)

I went to Pinnacle Automotive when I was in the market for a used car; I asked them to inspect a car I was thinking about buying. I have lived in the area for awhile, but the mechanic I have taken my cars to in the past was was far enough away from the owner of the car that I needed to find a mechanic more conveniently located for the owner. I got an appointment at Pinnacle quickly, they did not charge me for the inspection, and they gave me honest, detailed feedback about the condition of the car. I would definitely consider using them again in the future, and I recommend them to others!

5 Stars: Professional and helpful mechanics (by dugolfer)

I was interested in buying an used car from another dealership and called Pinnacle on a Saturday for an inspection. Kevin picked up the phone and told me they were closed but would be happy to take a look at the car anyways. I came by 30 minutes later with the car and Kevin and Chase took a solid 25 minutes to inspect the vehicle and did a tremendous job. Then they didn't charge me a thing!!! These guys are great, have a clean shop and treat everybody well. They definitely earned my business from just a basic car inspection. I'd recommend them without hesitation to anyone in the triangle.

5 Stars: Best mechanic in Raleigh for quality, customer service, and cost (by lmlenzen)

Excellent car service and customer service. Just about guaranteed to be a customer for life. The first truly honest mechanic I have found. I would have to say equal to or better than the dealer in terms of quality and a fraction of the cost. I bring both of my cars only there and have referred many friends who are just as pleased. They will make sure to get the job done right and won't try to sell you parts/services you don't need. I am a true car enthusiast and highly recommend their service.
