Inspiring
I could go on, but I think you get the idea.

Yoga Heaven
by crazook
I knew I was home the instant I stepped into the studio. You can tell when someone's put their heart and spirit into something and it's so very obvious when you step into the "Blue." There is such a warm and comforting feeling when you walk in the door and it just gets better from there. There are so many different types of classes that anyone from the newbie yogi to the more advanced student can find a class that they love. Even more important than that I think is the community of students at the Blue... there is really a sense of family in each class that you take. Makes ALL the difference.
Pros: great teachers, great classes, awesome boutique
Cons: need more of it all!

Wonderful haven in downtown Raleigh
by Anna Marie Ladd
The Blue Lotus is my all time favorite yoga studio. The instructors are all very professional and I never worry about trying new things because of the supportive environment. The carefully planned classes always help you to be ready for the next pose and transitions from posture to posture flow seamlessly. I wish I lived closer and could go every day! It has become one of those "special" places that I just sort of sigh and relax as soon as I come in the door!
Pros: Outstanding instruction, supportive atmosphere

A true sanctuary
by barbara227
The "blue" is a place that has made my move to Raleigh a true transformation in my life. The instructors care about each student in class. It is obvious that each teacher puts a great deal of thought into their class and music . There is a tremendous diversity in classes for the beginner to the life long experienced yogi. I like the balance of a challenging class, to a stretch and flow class. We need balance in our lives and the instructors recognize this with the variety of classes and workshops offered to the community. I also find that the students are very welcoming to those who practice often to the newcomers. I could not balance my life without my classes at bluelotus. Thank you Jill and instructors for your caring, hands on approach and teaching me to give myself permission to do what my body and mind feels once I get to my mat. You are a "blessing" to all of us!

there are so many wonderful reasons to visit blue lotus, i could go on for quite awhile. so to keep it simple, i will tell you this: through the instruction of each talented teacher, the practice of the postures, the breath work, the space, the music, and the letting go, you will find there a personal sanctuary and an amazing transformation of body, mind & soul like no other. i have experienced many avenues of wellness over the years, but nothing compares to being an active member of the blue lotus community. it has forever changed my life and i am exactly where i want to be.

THE most welcoming yoga studio in the area
by voomvaa
If you are thinking of trying a yoga class, or if you have tried it before but didn't think it was for you-- give blue lotus a shot. There are so many styles and levels of energy required...and you can experience a great number of them here. I agree with the other reviews--this is definitely a welcoming place to explore, and every teacher has something to offer that is unique and challenging in its own way. Yoga means a different experience for everyone, and I think most people will enjoy the experience here. Raleigh lucked out!

vacation for the body, mind and soul!
by spiny
How do I love the blue lotus? Let me count the ways ... After joining this amazing community I'm not only in the best shape of my life, I'm also living life more fully. I had taken yoga at my gym, but it is a completely different experience in the studio. No matter what level your practice is at or how you're feeling about your body this is the place to come, practice, be present, converse, meditate and evolve (inside and out!).

A yoga studio with heart and soul
by bnv
The atmosphere in Blue Lotus is warm and welcoming; this is a special studio where practitioners at all levels can feel supported and challenged. Teachers are very talented and utilize music in the classes in very creative ways. Regular members like myself keep coming back for more- in addition to a great variety of classes , workshops are offered on a regular basis which allow you to expand your horizons through music, dance and yoga. This is a serious studio which doesn't take itself too seriously! People have fun while stretching their minds and bodies. As one of my favorite teachers says, "Come play!"

Special place, amazing yoga
by TripleB57
As soon as you walk in the door of Blue Lotus, you know it's special. The instructors are fabulous, the space feels good (and not just because it's green), and there's something for everyone no matter what level of yoga you're at. I love the rigorous, ninety minute classes that leave me sweat-drenched as much as the gentle, relaxing classes in which I feel the stress ooze right out of me. If I'd created my dream yoga studio it would look exactly like Blue Lotus.
Pros: Instructors, Physical Space, Variety of classes, Community focus
Cons: None

excellent yoga in downtown raleigh
by karmapeep
It's no surprise that the blue has a 5* rating! I also highly recommend trying a class at blue lotus. The structure of the classes are that you can drop into any class you'd like; you don't have to commit to buying a slew of 6 weeks for one particular class. Instead you buy a pass for a certain amount of classes and go to any you want.
Both the teachers and the students at blue lotus keep me coming back. It's a space where you can drop all your baggage at the door and come in to relax & renew, get a great workout of mind & body, and meet like-minded people.
Pros: beautiful green yoga space, peaceful yet urban vibe, variety of classes and other activities, exceptional teachers, sense of community
Cons: i can't think of one!

Exceptional Yoga
by smh2
There are so many great things to say about Blue Lotus, it's hard to know where to start. My yoga practice has grown in ways I would never have imagined prior to my discovery of Blue Lotus. The staff are master teachers who inspire and generously offer their vast knowledge to all ... from the novice to the very skilled yogi. The energy is terrific in this beautiful space. I leave each yoga practice inspired, stronger, and centered. Raleigh is lucky lucky.

yoga bliss
by kevincain
Whether you're curious or very serious about yoga, here is a studio that has something for you. Blue Lotus has collected a delightful group of instructors who bring their personalities to the mat and offer ninety minutes of challenging poses or an hour of sweet stretching. Instructors are very mindful about their dialogues and clearly are thoughtful about the sequence of poses, so the benefits flow.
I've been practicing for eight years and I'm so grateful that I can look at the Blue Lotus schedule every week and find classes I need at times that fit my schedule.
The space is beautiful (and green), the other students are friendly and clearly enjoying themselves. There is a sense of community here that adds to the experience. A great place to get out of your head and on to a mat.
Pros: teachers, variety of classes, atmosphere

Fabulous yoga in downtown Raleigh!!

If you want to treat yourself, go to the Blue Lotus! It is a wonderful, peaceful environment to practice yoga. The instructors are exceptional and very inspiring. Make sure you try an early (8:00 a.m.) Saturday class with Yvonne to start your weekend . It is well worth it! It is challenging, but most enjoyable and you'll feel better all day after going. There are plenty of options for whatever level you wish to practice. We are very fortunate to have a special yoga facility of this caliber in Raleigh. Don't wait another moment; go to the Blue Lotus and you will feel great, physically and mentally!
Pros: Great instructors, peaceful and relaxing studio
Cons: When the class is over!

Guaranteed to be a great workout for yoginis and yogis in a friendly environment.
by Pemajolei
You can count on a really great yogic workout with mindful attention to the varying levels present at any one time in the room. I always feel like I've gotten in a good session, and the instructors are friendly and open. I like that there is a sweet and well-behaved dog that sometimes graces us with her presence after she hears the closing 'Namaste'. A really good place to go.

Best Yoga Studio Around---REALLY!
by kissjessie
Blue Lotus IS the best yoga studio I've found. And believe me, I've been looking--for 10 years, since leaving my practice in Manhattan. Slowly, I discovered amazing teachers in the Triangle (Yvonne is inspired, gifted, and life-changing!) and watched as they blossomed together into Blue Lotus.
Don't be concerned; there are classes for all levels and preferences. Just call, email, or stop by to ask any helpful Blue Lotus staff what's right for you. I always come away energized, strengthened, and more centered.
In addition, Blue Lotus is a wonderful community of interesting people. This is NOT a meat market, but you can meet and get to know quality, uninvasive people who share a committment to health and personal growth.
Did I mention it's fun too?
Do yourself a favor: give it a try! You won't regret it.
Pros: Best teachers around, serene environment.

finally an authentic place to go and be yourself - no matter what your goal is, you can find a yoga class to fit your needs/desires. classes are affordable (and market competitive) and the teachers all have something different to offer. it is a lovely melding of minds and bodies. i was driving to chapel hill to take class so it is awesome to have our own studio in our backyard (downtown raleigh)!!! highly recommended to give it a try

Blue Lotus is a wonderful yoga studio. The place itself is inviting and inspiring, but the true treasure are the instructors, which are all outstanding! There are classes for all levels and in very varied yoga styles so anyone can find the perfect class (or classes!!!!).
Pros: Amazing instructors, great location
Cons: Only one studio, which means only one option per time slot.

Yoga Yogini
by veddergirl
The Blue Lotus is my refuge. I am ever grateful for my teacher. Her kind words, soothing music and mindful practices are exactly what my body and mind seek out. The environment is peaceful and moving. The variety of classes and teachers fit any practicing yoga student. The Blue Lotus incorporates all of the following statements: The greatest quality is seeking to serve others. The greatest goodness is a peaceful mind. The greatest patience is humility. The greatest effort is not concerned with results. The greatest meditation is a mind that lets go. I am thankful for this space, these teachers and my practice. In Compassion, Namaste. Paula
Pros: Class Variety and Pricing

lovely, welcoming, inspiring yoga home
by knyount
blue lotus is a welcoming place for anyone, whether you're a young soul or an old pro. I'm more at the beginning end myself, but I've seen students of all levels, shapes, sizes and ages in my classes. In the few months I've been going to the studio, I've been able to try yoga styles I'd never heard of, as well as explore the practices I already know and love. The teachers really encourage you to make each class your own--they are all warm and welcoming, and they focus on safety, self-exploration, strong foundations, and good humor. Whether you want to sweat through a vigorous class, flow through a smooth vinyasa practice, or nourish tired limbs in a restorative or meditative class, you'll be able to find a space and time to suit your needs. No matter what mood I show up in, they never fail to create an atmosphere where I can find kindness and inspiration. I can't recommend them highly enough!
Pros: welcoming atmosphere, wide class variety, excellent and enthusiastic teachers

A Yoga Sanctuary
by annerogers
The Blue Lotus is a wonderful sanctuary in which to practice yoga in downtown Raleigh. Although the appearance of the studio is urban chic, the spirit of the classes and the expert instruction is steeped in the yogic traditions. There is a sense of true community in this place where many new and familiar faces congregate to share in the essence of Om. I would highly suggest this studio for all levels of practitioner in that there is a unique experience awaiting everyone. Check out the webpage and don't hesitate to sign up for a class. It's the greatest thing I've ever done for my health and well-being.
Pros: Ambience, Instruction, Sense of Community
