Small portions, overpriced food that isn't even that good. Unless you are dying to try bison, don't bother going here. Save your money. There are much better burger places that cost half as much.
Also, waiters barely check up on you and the atmosphere is lacking.

I had my first bison burger and it was enormous and delicious. I should have eaten only half! I ordered the onion rings instead of fries (ate some of son's fries though). GOOD onion rings, too! I did take out, but I heard they are family friendly. And they are GREEN - well, it's Ted Turner's restaurant. The straws are strong paperboard and the to-go "plastic" cups are actually made of all plants!

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. She said that she wanted a good steak dinner. We decided to give them a try and I was really impressed. The service was great. Especially our server Joe. I would definitely recommend this place to someone. This was the first time that we had been there and it was worth the wait.

Pros: quiet, good food, great service

Cons: parking

Portion sizes are small, especially appetizers.
When using a gift certificate, it's unclear what counts or doesn't count as valid. You may end up disappointed.
Not a good value for your money.

We frequent Ted's quite often, and after visiting many burger places in the Triangle area, Ted's hands-down has some of the best in town. The bison alternative provides a better meat at a fair price and is highly recommended. The burgers are always juicy, cooked to our request, and the service is always attentive. The salt and pepper onion rings are also very good, and a recommended alternative if you do not feel like fries. If you have not tried bison, we recommend you try it. If you have not tried Ted's we also recommend you go. There menu is the same for lunch and dinner.

Went for a colleague's birthday lunch. OK so it was "grilled bison" but it was still a burger on a salad. The standard was only $1 less. $11 ++ was way, way over the top for lunch (main course only with water). It was quiet/dead atmosphere (price related?) however staff were attentive. OK for a one off try of bison, but I've done that now.

Cons: price, atmosphere, value

In Short
Lots of mahogany, tin ceilings, metal crown molding and Arts and Crafts-style décor prevail at this casual, comfortable saloon, part of media mogul Ted Turner's domain. Beef and bison are king, and they're hand-cut…
