I went there to have dinner with my girlfriend and within minutes of arriving, while standing on the front balcony to watch the sunset, Sven came out to ask if we planned on eating there. I said yes, but first we wanted to watch the sun go down. He stood there watching us for several minutes then left.

Then his wife Elizabeth came out and just stood there watching us. We left in protest of this behavior. We then walked up the ramp to the pier and noticed the cafe was EMPTY! No surprise! We went for a walk on the pier instead then went to downtown Hollywood for a Thai meal. I found out after calling city hall to complain about this incident that the city is suing to evict them from their 20 year, $8,000 a month lease.

When I told one of my neighbors about this, he said he was there last year and ate what he called a tasty chicken wrap. Before the meal, as all customers must, he gave Elizabeth (or Sven) his license plate number and indicated the spot he was in and then was brought to a table to eat. When he got up to go, his found that his car was towed! SHE CALLED TO HAVE HIS CAR TOWED! He complained, she relented, called the car back but he still had to pay $80!!!! He found out from the tow truck driver that Elizabeth/Sven get a percentage of the tow!!

Do the research online: For her doctoral thesis on 'hospitality management," Elizabeth wrote about 9/11 and the effect of terrorism on 'her' industry. What is sad is that this location can be the foundation for a renewal of Dania Beach. It is a perfect location to eat a meal and enjoy the wonderful views. For all the people who have been terrorized (See reviews) by going to Beach Watch and take the time to post a comment, there are many who haven't. If you want to be terrorized by xenophobic, paranoid people who evoke cold war Germany, by all means patronize this establishment.

BEWARE: I saw video surveillance camera's everywhere and was told that there is audio surveillance by the pier entrance; the employees have to step outside of their kiosk to talk about "Beach Watch" when you ask about it.

It is a shame that such media is more and more used to fight personal battles. The truth is, the more these "reviews" slander, the more they proof themselves wrong. Unfortunately always when some-body does not give free what wanted it is "rude". Well, this still is a business and pays the bills and all salaries now for more than 3 years from the sales to all those who are not batteling here because they are very pleased, in count to date appr. 295,000 people. The discriminating from the very first day against this "not local alien" entrepreneur is still active and one day it will kill the place, not the owner. Don't forget nobody will take the risk in such "locale battlefield" and nobody else local had the guts to deal with it.

Mr. Jutz:

Our family recently celebrated the university graduation of one of our children at Beach Watch Restaurant. We visited your restaurant the week before and spoke with Elisabeth about holding the event there for 15-20 people. We agreed that the group would order from the Sunset Menu between 4:00 and 6:30 p.m. Each person would be responsible for their own alcoholic beverage costs. All non-alcoholic beverages, appetizers, entrees and desserts would be put on a single check and paid for by the hosts. A reservation was made for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010, preferably for seating outdoors. At no point were we told that we would need to vacate the premises by a given time.

Guests ranging in age from 11 to 75 arrived between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. Every guest ordered beverages, appetizers, entrees and dessert from the Sunset Menu. The serving staff was helpful and polite, and the view from the outdoor deck was unbelievably beautiful. Everyone was having a lovely time (despite the almost inedible food) and celebrating the occasion, our family and friends.

Imagine then our surprise when you very rudely approached individuals in our group at about 7:00 p.m. and told us we needed to leave immediately because our ??time was up.? At that time we had just finished dessert and the tables had not yet been cleared. We were not being noisy or causing any kind of disturbance. Most importantly, the restaurant was practically empty (now we know why), other than our group. We therefore could not understand what was causing this turn of events. This was so unexpected that the first guests you approached thought it must be some type of practical joke. When various members of our group tried to get a reason and object to your continued demands that we leave, we were told that on the ??web site it stated the time limitation.? We have since gone on the Beach Watch web site and the only reference to a time limitation we find is that food can only be ordered from the Sunset Menu between 4:00 and 6:30 p.m., which we did.

At the very least we feel others should know that at Beach Watch the view of the Atlantic Ocean and the company you are with will be the only things to enjoy. The food was mediocre and the overall experience left a bad taste in our mouths.

Please be advised that we will be telling our family, friends, co-workers, and posting this review for your restaurant on every rating service we are aware of: If you are looking for a venue where the great food, beautiful ambiance and good service combine to create a pleasant dining experience, DON??T CHOOSE BEACH WATCH in Dania Beach!

We ate here over the holidays. The male owner is a jerk and the chef would have a hard time feeding stray cats the food she serves. This place is terrible. I have never had to post such a negative review of any place I ate. I tried to talk to the owner, he didn't care. The chef wanted me to pay for the food we sent back! What a joke, get a grip, get out of the business!!!

Great little place located on the 920 foot, 24hr Dania Pier - where you can fish and then go and get something to eat from the restaurant. You can get a three course sunset dinner starting at 15.95 per person!

We went here over 18 months ago and I can still remember how awful the food is and clueless the owners were. The only decent thing was our waitress was nice, but I'm sure she's long gone from this establishment. And it's too bad, as they have a great setting. Too bad the quality of the food and the attitude of the management was better.

We've been there with our athletic group for breakfast multiple times. We loved the view and location, we found food and prices ok. Then the owner was so unbelievably rude to some of our members that we decided to take our business elsewhere. One of our group arrived ahead of the others, asked for a table for the group and then wanted to use the restroom. The male owner snapped at her that the restroom is only for customers and she isn't a customer before she is seated. She brought up that our group is there every Sunday and was snapped at again (something like: yeah, yeah, everybody says that...). Another friend who went dining there one evening was told to wait outside (in the heat) until the rest of her party would arrive and they could be seated. I've heard multiple similar stories from different friends since then. The best view can't make up for being treated like that.
P.S.: the last time we were there was June 21st. So I hope that what's posted in another review is true and the owner has changed.

I love the scenery, had an event here, owner threw people out, called the police, and shut down the event a half an hour before the agreed time. The view is great, and the food is good as well, but honestly there are establishments that appreciate their customers much more. Try the restaraunt at the Marriot on Hollywood beach, Great service there.

Where do I start? The owners are lunatics! First, they called the cops on our photographer for setting up his flash and then kicked the photographer out! The cops came and told us that they are constantly having problems with the owners! The officer also told us that the weekend before the owner had all the cars of the guests towed! THEN, we rented the restaurant until 11:30. At about 10:58 we were playing our last song. The owner then comes out and tells us to stop. We explained we paid until 11:30, he gets mad and pulls the plug on all the electricity so we have to leave!!!

If you already have this place booked make sure you get everything you want IN WRITING including - the bar on the patio, the parking, if you want a headtable (we didn't get one because it wasn't in writing) or anything. I STRONGLY recommend to stay far away from this establishment!!!

I live on the beach and have always wanted to eat there. I go with my 12 year old son in my 66' el camino. I park in front of the restaurant. We walk upstairs and tell them we are waiting for two other people to arrive. he promptly tells us we need to move are car while we wait and then changes his mind and literally throws us out. . I was only in the restaurant for 5 mins. I strongly suggest anybody reading this to not go there. Especially after all the other comments I have just read

We went there for a nice dinner with two other couples. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The food was so bland and no salt on the table- It was like eating hospital cafeteria food and the portions were small for the price -very over priced for portions. Most of us ordered salmon, which was small and hardly had a taste. They definitely need a new chef. Such a shame-the place has so much potential. It seemed clean, but lacked any real decor-very bland like the food. Not one of the six of us were happy with our meal-hard to believe ! None of us will return- I have never had reason to write a negative review before, but not only was the food bad, but the owner displayed such a mean side in front of us-so unnecessary-poor business and people skills. He had a fight with a mother coming in with her 4 year old child to use the bathroom- I am sure he has the right to turn people away from the beach, but what was the big deal-a child had to go to the bathroom-come on--- to fight wiht this lady in front of customers and cause a scene. Would have been a better scene to let the child use the bathroom and have a calm scene instead of a screaming match Very poor judgement on the owners side. Not a pleasant experience ! We were there because our kids were attending a party on the beach-not because of reading good reviews-there were not many anyways-now I know why.

The only thing special about this restaurant is the location and view. The owners are bitter and nasty people that are clueless when it comes to customer satisfaction. It's not just the food that is substandard...it's the parking monitors (the owners) that will have your car towed while you dine in their establishment!
My highpoint was that the beer was cold while I waited for a resolution to my tow issue. They did not offer to disount our check, pay for the tow, or refrain from scolding our children that were playing on the stairs (who where restless after 2 hours)...while we waited to have our car returned ...that they towed!
I am amazed that we were treated so poorly. These people have no shame or desire for repeat business.
This has nothing to do with the staff! They were wonderful.

Held Wedding shower at this location. Beautiful view but very rude staff. Couldn't even provide enough tables for our guests. Waiters did not offer guest what they were supposed to receive. I had to go behind them every 5 minutes to make sure they were doing there job. When they were done serving us the owner told us to "leave right now!" Although guest were having and paying for drinks on their own tabs. Horrible experience!!!!! Warning, do not go.

The wedding did happen as scheduled in a part of the restaurant with our utmost care of keeping the area privately. The bride did not ask for permission for a commercial photographer and he was not introduced. as there are other customers being served. The outside bar was not demanded or agreed, another bartender was not paid for. All events get a sheet to be filled out and signed. This is the contract with all major issues covered. The wedding took place close to six hours and at nine was no push as the restaurant is open on weekends till 10 p.m. Only two couples as regulars at the bar paid 3 times more than head count from the wedding. Any personal insult I would be useless I refuse. I designed and opened this restaurant after many others and oversee the scene to have everything in place and functional and not to jump in for some unpatient customers. So far the guests of the wedding were very pleased about the party as they told personally and did not share the frustration of the bride. We wish her the best in her marriage and life.
To radislandboy: Yes, there is a place down the beach as Grill this gentleman may belong to. The Sunday Brunch was enjoyed from more than 4,000 people during the high season and still we have calls for it.
To cupcake: They refused to pay anything, not the food they eat not the drinks they had. The Tuna is offered in the menu as grilled and this is what was served. They were offered a dessert on the house, a discount of $ 7 but refused any payment.
To rascal555: The opinions about gourmet are certainly different in public. This place strives for middle class but some kind of perfection. Colors are gold, dark blue and windows with ocean, beach, umbrellas, bikinis, surfers, sky, sun and everything. A review saying food was horrid... is not very perfect, it is just useless. To you and other useless reviews: Be sure this place will enjoy many people (95,000 last year) for the rest of 19 years. Who can do better, proof it!

So, about that wedding on April 26th...a few things went wrong but the main thing was the male host/owner. If you hate people that much, why would you want to own a restaurant on the beach with a beautiful view where people want to come hang and enjoy themselves? This place has so much potential, but he is ruining it with his bad attitude and unfriendly demeanor. Now, the only reason I even gave this place 2 stars is because the lemon chicken was quite good. The herb crusted mahi was good but needed a little more flavor or salt (they didn't put salt shakers on the tables). The female owner was pretty nice and helpful. She may not come off as the most friendly person, but I think she tries. She just needs to honor what was agreed, but that taught me to always get a contract from now on. I wish the bar would have been on the back patio where it was supposed to be because that's where the party was happening. It ruined the wedding a little bit because people kept hanging in the front. Also the bar on the patio looked run down and dirty. Maybe that's why they didn't want to use it, but they should have made it look nice and set a side bar back there. They just didn't want to hire another bartender. That male owner is useless. He just walks around with no smile picking on people. I don't recommend anyone having their special day here until the owners and that one mean waitress fix their attitudes. It's such a beautiful setting, but you don't feel that welcome to be there. It's such a shame. My husband and I want to go back there for our 1st anniversary, but not if it's still under same ownership. Message to the owners: please change your attitudes or sell the place to someone else who can make it a happy scene.

Pros: Beautiful view of the ocean, food is pretty good.

Cons: Attitude of male owner and one older waitress...she's rude.

I had my wedding there April 26th. The ceremony was beautiful and so is the scene from the back patio, but this place can use many, many improvements.
First off, I had asked for a contract 3 times from the female owner and never received one. I let it go trusting things will go as discussed. It was a BIG mistake not getting a contract. The bar was supposed to be on the back patio where the party was. Instead it was far in the front of the restaurant where guests had to walk back & forth. After awhile people just hung out in front away from the party and dancing because of the bar. They only hired one bartender for 90 guests and for people still dining in the restaurant. Some diners were ordering drinks off of our tab! The bartender was also slow as can be. Also, initially I discussed open bar with the owner and she said it was for 3 hours then last minute she changed it to 2 hours. After our ceremony, the waitress got a drink for my husband and I and later gave us a bill for $80! No explanation, we paid it just so we could have a good time and not argue. It was also agreed that the party would end at 10pm. By 9pm, they were pushing us out the door but we kept dancing. The waitress yelled at my friend to "FINISH YOUR DRINK NOW!" while I (the bride) was standing right next to him! The worst part is the male host/owner. When I walked in there in my wedding dress, he just looked at me, no hello or smile. It was uncomfortable. He was also harassing my photographer most of the time to not take photos or he would call the cops. This IS a wedding, he's supposed to take photos. He was rude to some of my guests I later heard. Some gave him compliments on the view and he just gave them a snide look. He acts as if he doesn't want you there. He doesn't help the restaurant either, the bartender needed help serving 90 guests. As an owner I would jump behind the bar to help, but all he does is walk around and looks mean and intimidating. Some of my friends were scared of him......

I wish I would have read these other reviews before I went here. My first clue should have been an empty restaurant on a Friday night. My husband and I ordered our dinners, Mahi & seafood platter. For being an empty restaurant it took an extremely long time to get our meals. Mahi was so/so, but edible. Seafood Platter - Fried (2 shrimp, 2 scallops, 2 small pieces of fish), fries and scant amount of vegetables ($26). My husband took a bite of something that resembled an egg roll ,supposed to be fish, was sickened by the taste/texture and asked the waiter what kind of fish it was. Waiter took to kitchen, returned & said it was tuna and should not have been fried but seared & offered a "piece of dessert on the house" as a consolation. We declined dessert & the bill was brought. My husband had not finished his dinner and they already disposed of it. When the bill was given to us they charged us for the full meal. My husband attempted to speak to the RUDE owner who shrugged it off and refused to discount our bill in any manner. After a few minutes of banter back and forth with the Owners, and their threats to take us to court, they called the police because we weren't going to pay for something we didn't get. We were treated like criminals by the owners, the female owner basically barracaded the door so we couldn't leave. Police arrived, we told our side, they told theres and they ended up taking a whopping $5 off of our ($60+) bill and wanted trespass warnings issued to us (which police refused to do). The owner had also told us that they would accept cash only from us as we would dispute our credit card payment. They were told to accept the credit card by the police and if we wanted to dispute we were entitled to do so. She then asked me to sign and "agreement" that I settled the matter and I refused to do so. These people should NOT be in the hospitality business, cold ruthless TRASH. Should've went for the 29 cent McDonald's hamburger specials today!

It could have been so much better. Yes, the view IS wonderful...BUT that is it. Unfortunately, we went for the high-season Sunday brunch, so we were not able to have a choice of what we ate (not that it would be any better). The shrimp was unpeelable, roast beef was tough and chewy, and the fruit bowl was lacking. We were really disappointed. For $22 per person we did not want to sit in a cafeteria. It is unfortunate that a place with such a great location is unable to deliver on its potential. They have had plenty of time to work out the kinks. Our recommendation would be the Dania Beach Bar down the parking lot. We will not be going back. We wish we had read the reviews prior to going so we could have saved $100.

I have lived in Dania for years. I think all Danians were very excited about a nice restaurant opening on the pier. Rumors flew for years about what it would be like and we finally saw the opening last January. I didn't try it until the summer, thinking that any new place would have a few a"bugs" to work out. I am now a regular and plan to work my way through everything on the menu. My favorite appetizers are the crab cakes (fresh and crabby), the spinach and artichoke dip, and the conch fritters which are just full of conch (they are just like the ones you get in the Bahamas, but the service is much better). They even have pizza! The Jamaican style chicken pizza is an absolute must for those that like it spicy. Their salad is not just any boring salad; it is loaded with baby greens and sweet grape tomatos and topped with an amazing dressing. Nothing here is from a bottle. My favorite dinner is the seafood fradiavlo just brimming with mussels, clams, fish, and calamari - made mild of spicy. Yum. Sit at the bar, the company is always fun and animated. I'll see you there! I WENT BACK IN SEPTEMBER AND IT WAS JUST AWFUL!!! THERE IS NO BARTENDER AT NIGHT. YOU CANNOT SIT AT THE BAR FOR JUST DRINKS, WE WERE TOLD THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO HAVE DINNER. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? I'LL NEVER GO BACK. THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST OUT AND OUT RUDE. OH, YEAH AND ALL THE SPARKLING REVIEWS WRITTEN IN BROKEN ENGLISH - ARE WRITTEN BY THAT NASTY RUDE MAN BEACHBEN OR SVEN OR WHATEVER HE IS CALLING HIMSELF NOW.

Well, we always check into the search engines and found this place with its "reviews" which made us very curious. Funny reading overprized, will not last longer as a year and even suggestions to coloring or pricing! We compared and did find a very well guarded and operated place with friendly prompt greeting and seating, attentitive and nice service people and extra fresh and very tasty food. A very awsome experience hardly expected. The place is in prime location and you can sit on the east terace over the ocean with the waves underneath, or you sit inside for a/c on one of all tables with window watching the beach crowed, bikinis, surfers and windsurfers. You can go there any day and any weather. It is just a mile from the A1A at the beach of Dania Beach on the fishing pier. Have a walk after your meal and enjoy a exceptional day off. The fish is mostly fresh catched out of the Ocean which is unbeatable and there are no other places like this in Florida. The chef/owner talked with us asking if we enjoyed everything and we will be there to christmas and New Years Eve, which offers for only $79 life music, 5 course dinner including oysters, lobster and Sushi, half bottle wine and champange toast. The place is for romantic dinner for two, just for hanging out watching the people or the waves, for weddings at the beach and rehersal in the restaurant, for anniversaries and any occasion. For regular visit you don't need to dress up as the place is casual but you need to have shoes and shirt. I can not understand the negative comments on this site but there are some employees or enemies trying to fail the restaurant rather than supporting such a unique and favorable establishment. All who read these comments please don't hesitate to give it a try you will not be disappointed at all. We have chosen it as our favorite restaurant and whenever we have the time we will be there to enjoy the genious building and built out as well as the effort of the friendly/ focused staff.

The view is the only only plus to this over-rated place. They're pricier then they need to be and the only ambiance is the ocean. Inside the colors are drab & tasteless...almost like a warehouse not yet finished.
The food was horrid...it was a tasteless array of badly combined mix of flavors. The service was way too long for a practically empty place. We waited 30 minutes to get our food served. Then the server brought the wrong food & we had to wait all over again. My prediction...this place won't last another year. If it does, it can only do so by coming down on the prices & getting some real servers that know what they are doing. My advise to this restaurant...forget trying to look gourmet, just start serving some great food at a family price. And liven the place up with some vibrant colors & perhaps some music. Can you imagine this...our visit was during a holiday weekend at dinner time time...on a Saturday night...and very few patrons filled this restaurant...maybe it was an off night...I sense it was not. We will not be returning.

We are fortunate to have this new restaurant.. Set out on Dania Beach Pier.... the view is exquisite. The menu offers plenty of choices from moderate to more expensive. Mahi Mahi or other fish sandwiches are delicious, as are the salads and individual pizzas. Delicious full dinners and sides are also available. The waitstaff personnel are pleasant and helpful. The facilities are extremely clean, and simply decorated with the all important view in mind. Best time to go is before dark. Tell your friends.....the restaurant is an asset to the community....we want to see it succeed! Don't be put off by reviews written during the early growing pains.

It has a beautiful view!!! The employees acted like they didn't even want to be there and it was just a chore to serve us. We did not feel welcome at all. Food very OVER PRICED. We ordered Macadmian crusted mahi mahi - sounded good but could not eat it. Did not taste good at all. Not a lot of items on the menu to choose from. We tried it and wont' be back. Like I said, a beautiful view. Restaurant was very empty for a saturday evening. one of our drinks actually had a piece of chipped paint in it. Not good at all.

What a day! Unforgetable. We took my boat out to celebrate my birthday. Along the Intracoastal we turned into the Dania Beach Marina and docked on the public floating docks. Just across the parking we entered the Beach Watch Restaurant, which is brand new opened February. Friendly nice greeting at the lobby and prompt seating on the Porch, passing all the lined up wndow tables with incredible view over beach and ocean, North to Pier 66 Ft. Lauderdale and South to Hollywood and Hallendale with the Westin Hotel Diplomat. The beach was not crowded but still nice bikini girls and families with kids enjoyed their time. Sitting on the Porch with the waves of the ocean underneath, incredible view far out watching the big ships in and out ot the Port Everglades - even the majestic big Cruise Ships and also watching the fishermen if lucky or not to catch a fish. We had a very nice waiter, very politely and professional and enjoyed the fresh catch of the day, Mahi Mahi we saw delivering from a fisherman to the restaurant. It took some time but they cooked it right for us. We loved the Lamb Osso Bucco and the Appetizer Bahamian Conch Fritters and Coconut Shrimp. We also liked the very economic wine list and chosed Cabernet Dynamite for $ 23. The dessert was award winning Key Lime Pie and Bergian Chocolate Brandy Cace - delicious. Full but not wanting to leave we also consumed a Beach Watch Cosmo Martini, Pina Colada Frozen Drink from Island Oasis and Coffee from Starbucks corporation. From West Patio you can watch the sunset from the East Patio the moonrise. You know, we felt like being on a big cruise ship but on land as this is build and as it is operated. You are in this area you need to have a peak there it is all the miles worth. We will be back as soon as possible and try out the other goodies they have to offer.

Despite some obviously influenced reviews we found an unique place in prime location the new Beach Watch restaurant in the oldest city of Broward. You find a parking place for free as customer. You enter the elevator for one story only and come into the lobby. Great and friendly we were greated, asked for the car information to be signed in and were then seated at one of the window tables. There is no one table you cannot see the ocean or the beach, inside or outside. You get a very complete menu for everybody something interesting in it and you order to the waiter who is handling your order directly in his hand computer. We asked, if we could use a notebook and sure he said. He told us everything is computerized, the seating, the ordering, the bar control, the LED lighting throughout the restaurant and the inventory. The food was very delicious, soup excellent seasoned and the steak right rare as I love it. The fish was as fresh as catched myself. The menu is lunch and dinner the same, but there are specials changing every day. We enjoyed very much watching the people down at the beach. You can watch surfers, girls, guys, families, light planes on paragliders, big ships leaving the everglades port and airplanes. We came with an airplane and you can see the fishing pier and on it the restaurant Beach Watch. The dessert was delicious, as we tried Carrot Cake and Cheesecake. After meal we had some Margharitas and frozen drinks. We will remember a wonderful time in Dania Beach and its new restaurant and will return when ever we have a chance. We think it is worth to visit such a unique place.

Meanwhile we became "regulars". We love this place and its great asset to the community. As those we also learned that some individuals does not like it and try to push it down with bad words of mouth very unjustified. If read some of the reviews it is clear and this is what for the place works actually. Sleek, modern, clean, good service and awsome food from the freshest. Yes it is a destination place but where you have to go for any good experience. Sit on the east terrace over the ocean waves and even watching the moonrise, or by daylight watching the surfers and windsurfers as well as beach lovers. Have a saturday night with the live music or even a late night with night club disco and the exceptional LED light computerized over the whole place. Never be disappointed meet the effort these guys are bringing up to satisfy focused on your needs. Fish with rented rod on the pier and bring the freshest fish ever to them, they will cook is as whole or part for you. You choose the starch and pay same price. The menu is for all day lunch and dinner and so it seams to be overprized in lunch time. Instead they offer lunch specials much more economic and dinner specials same. We compared the prizes to others in the area and the lunch offers as well as dinner offers are more valuable as the competition. Don't trust those bad reviews try it you won't be disappointed either.

Pros: Unbeatable location and hospitality in the area

Cons: Destination place to the beach and therefore unequal customer count

We should have known from the list of "rules" taped to the register that the dining experience we were about to have was going to be something to remember. Rule #1. Opening times are approximate. Rule #2 Reservations are under consideration and in sole discretion unless prepaid or credit card information is given. Rule#3 Seating is determined by the Host... which brings us to the second problem (the first being they did not write down our party's reservation.) The rudeness of the owner/host is something out of a low budget French film... surliness does not even begin to describe his demeanor. Problem three, the food - some dishes contained ingredients not listed on the menu, other dishes were passed off as entirely different species altogether - none of them would be considered tasty enough to brave the frigid environment parlayed by the maitre'd.

While our table of 8 found humor in the situation, nothing was funny about the way they treated a newly married bride and her wedding party. This establishment reneged on their previously agreed arrangement and were so horrible to them that the party of 40 left, leaving the new bride without a venue to celebrate her nuptuals.

Complaints to the owner fell on deaf ears as his response was a snide "eh".

Unless you truly dislike the people you are bringing there, I would not recommend visiting this establishment.

Pros: beautiful view

Cons: everything else

I have tried contacting this place for several weeks now to get information about having my wedding rehersal dinner there. Each time I call, I get some rude person who just tells me "to come in to discuss." He wouldn't even email me their pricing - which, in my opinion, is very strange. We are trying to find a great place on the beach, which I am discovering is very difficult to do here in Broward County. Anyone out there have any suggestions?

I recently attended a private party on the patio. After reading the reviews on line, I was a bit skeptical as what to expect and a bit nervous that everything would go wrong. After all, everbody is entitled to their opinion. However, the reviews in this column are pretty accurate with regards to food quality, service and management. $51 per person was a bit pricy for the quality of the food and service. At any event I have ever attended, usually everybody is served and eating within a reasonable amount of time. The first table was served and done eating before half the guests were even served. They need to make some changes and organize this service a little bit better. The Chicken in lemon sauce over linguini was extremly dry and very bland. Had no taste at all. Forget about ordering a salad with a choice of dressing because it just isn't happening. The steak and potatoes were cold by the time it came to the table. A guest heard somebody inside asking for a napkin and was told by management they didn't have any napkins. Are you kidding me? The only thing that made this party fly was the FANTASTIC DJ we hired for the party. Would recommend him for any occassion. He made the party and helped you forget how lousy the food and service really were. After all this being said, I would not recommend this place to anybody. If you want a view of the ocean and something to eat, bring a couple of chairs and a cooler of food, beverages and a radio, sit on the beach and enjoy yourself. Guaranteed to cost you at least $5 per person and you don't have to deal with any management or food you don't like.

I am local in Dania, and I was so excited to hear they were rebuilding the pier and opening a " Beautiful" resturant on the pier. My Friends and I went there one day on lunch about a month after it opened. We decided to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the " Breathtaking view". We waited about 15 minutes till finally the server came out and offered us drinks. As I glanced over the menu I noticed they offered a nice variety of foods to choose from, and although I thought the prices were a little high for lunch. I took into consideration that resturants like these love to take advantage of their customers', buy selling the BREATHTAKING VIEW. So, we ordered our food, and my Grilled chicken and avacado wrap, was delicious even though they neglected to put in the avacado. I did not get mad I said to myself they are new and are bound to make mistakes at the begining. So my friends and I went back there recently and I have vowed from this day on I will never go back there again, not only was the service, and appreance of the place horrible, but when I brought it to the owners attention not only did he treat me like I was a idiot, but he did not care and basically told me I could take my business somewhere else. I was appalled by this treatment. I've never experience such lack of consideration as a customer, and for him to not take any responsibilty for the errors that were made, and to basically make it seem like my expectations were set to high. So my question is this, at what point do you decide if a over priced meal and being treated like an alien is worth the naturally beautiful breathtaking view of Dania beach. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would not encourage anyone to spend a time of there hard earned money at this place. Its such a shame to because I love Dania, and if your from there you know its a easy going little city and to have such snobery and robbery in our city is disgusting.

Pros: its on the beach

Cons: service, management, cleanliness, food

I'm with Broward. I normally don't write reviews however my experience at this restaurant was so terrible I thought other should be spared. The service is ok and the food isnt great. The catalyst in this case was the terribly rude owners/ management. The staff can't even stand to be in their presence. My experience was so tense and uncomfortable you can't even enjoy that you are sitting on a beautiful patio overlooking the ocean. I would suggest sit on the beach and eat at Dania Beach grill. The food is better, same great view with pleasant staff.

Pros: It is very hard to find positives in this case. I guess the location

Cons: Food, Service, Staff, all of it.

If you are looking for a reliable place to have an enjoyable meal choose somewhere else. If you are looking for a breathtaking view with unpleasant company, than this may very well be your place. I made reservations 3 months in advance for a birthday party. When I went to test the food it was okay left something to be desired however the location was nice. When I called to confirm everything a day before the party I was surprised with everything being incorrect. TIMES, SEATING LOCATION you name it. The review says not kid friendly how about they are not human friendly. The owners of the restaurant are rude, not accomodating and definitely do not create a pleasant dining experience. Food was substandard and did not include all ingredients listed on the menu. I lucked out however and did not have my party there due to their incompetence and it couldnt have worked out better.

Pros: Beautiful view if you can get past managements crappy attitudes

Cons: everything besides the view.

Recommended by a friend I visited Beach Watch Restaurant on mother's day for brunch. It was packed, brunch buffet great with oysters, shrimps and salmon. We had a table on the East patio the ocean waves underneath. They said, it is since January open, short time but they handled the crowed very well. Real food, real desserts as chocolade cake, tiramizu, cheese cake, fruit plates varieties. They had a separate carving and omelette station, in no time ready. A nice place to go antime and casual.

Pros: Breathtaking Ocean view from each table

Cons: though on the beach need shirt and shoe

Don't waste your money or your time. The view is magnificant but you can't move because of the limited space. The maitre d' could be one of the most unpleasant people in the restaurant. The food left something to be desired, but the wait staff was great. It was just an overall bad experience.

i was looking for a place to eat, somewhere different for a change. i found this on ciry search on my cell phone.. i saw the bad review but decieded to try anyway ... since they were new i figured that was just because they may have been a little unorganized.

yes my wife and i had a great dinner. wish we could have seen the ocean at night, lighting will come they say. we had a great dinner and the food was very nice. sunday was a lazy morning, we wanted brunch and the beach .. so guess what, we went back.. the sunday brunch was great. food was fresh, nothing fried and lots of homemade stuff. since they are so new, no HOT CHOCOLATE OR EXPRESSO yet but the coffee was good and strong.

very recomended. the new guys need a break. they have some live music, and its gonna be a great hang out .. jack sparrow will be there too... thats me .. enjoy

We were there February of 2007, wanted a nice place to eat and see the ocean, the only thing nice was the view. The food was average, the trash I had to look at while eating my dinner was disgusting. I was sitting towards the kitchen area and watched the dishwasher doing dishes, there was a partial partition from the floor to his waist and right at the floor is where an accumulation of trash was sitting. The lights over the tables are multicolored and change as you are eating, I couldnt hardly see what color my food was, no wonder it wasnt that great either. Will never go back, it was nasty.
