I made an appointment to see the owner, Mickey, after finding the salon listed on spafinder. I was looking to have my hair highlighted and return to my normal blond color after having darker color during winter. I was very nervous throughout the experience and should have left after my quick consultation. I repeatedly asked Mickey to confirm the plans for blond highlights, yet I somehow ended up a few shades lighter and $145 poorer. The color is uneven and friends and family have commented that it looks orange, brassy, red etc. How I went from blond to red is beyond me. This certainly isn't what I asked for and it looks terrible. Mickey said the color is golden, HAHA. I have never had a color application this bad and chose not to return for a fix. I wouldn't trust Mickey to touch my hair, so I'm out the $145 and will be out even more to have it corrected!

This salon is well worth the visit. The staff is very personable, hospitable, and very professional; and the salon itself is definitely a must see. If you live in the area, or on the outskirts of town, you can't go wrong here. Personally, thus far, Jill Schoenleber has been my hair stylist, as she selectively gave me a new look/style, that she had an eye for, and by all of her experience that she has has gained throughout her career, she knows colors and styles well. She has cut and colored my hair with high lights, low lights, so far, as well as gave me the hand and forearm waxing, where my hands and forearms came out all silky and smooth. How wonderful the after affects from all three were. We all deserve a break today, every now and then, and personally, I couldn't recommend a better place to get the treatment, all the way around. And if you want to feel good, and be filled with comfort, laughter, and satisfaction, inside and out, then step into MC3. You'll be glad you did.

I found this salon on line and had just went to a previous salon with highlights that were terrible. I READ EVERY REVIEW ON THIS SALON. Mickey is supberb and I will tell all of my friends to go to her. I not only was in and out in an hour and, I have a 15 month old so I have no time she was reasonable and gave me a discount since I had just got it done. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING AND THE FIX.

What is it with the stylist in Charlotte giving Orange and stripes for Highlights. I moved here from CA. Was referred to a salon $300.00 later and hair that looks like Annie for Highlights. I go back and they charge me again to fix their mess. FOR ANY BUSY MOTHER WHO IS ON A TIME line plus works FULL TIME, AND BUDGET THIS GIRL IS BY FAR THE BEST I HAVE HAD AND EXPERIENCED IN MY TIME. MICKEY I HOPE YOU KNOW YOU ARE A REAL GEM. MY COLOR IS BEAUTIFUL AND I LOVED YOU HAD ME IN and out in an hour. This was the first time it was not only perfect and I felt like a movie star. My friends bought me a gift certificate to this spa and I was so pleased with the services and The Owner was the first to greet me and was so much making sure my services met my needs. The Facial was relaxing and I loved my pedicure. IT IS A MUST SEE

I honestly cannot tell you how many salons I have tried in the past 12 mos, once I finally gave up on my "brand name" salon in Ballantyne, due to rising prices and declining customer service, back in the fall of last year. I was about to give up my search completely, and settle for whatever hair color service I got at the next place I visited, when I found MC3 online and read Brian's profile. I scheduled an appt with him for last Fri (12/12) and was DELIGHTED with the results. Brian is the first colorist to actually listen to me. I have told umpteen stylists that I don't want ash in my hair and I don't want red either... only to walk out of the salon, $150+ poor-er, with one or both of those hues in my hair!!! Brian successfully avoided both colors and gave me awesome natural highlights just like I had in mind!!! While a lot of stylists claim to be "masters" at their art, he truly IS a master and he has won my repeat business!

Anyone looking for a great haircut and a spot on color with highlights that look natural go to Mickey. We were recommended to Mickey from friends and since we were new to Charlotte finding a hairstylist was very scary for my teenage daughters. I loved her salon and spa services were great. I LOVED MICKEY'S color and she was great with my teenage daughters and HER PRICES ARE very in line for all of us mother's who are on a budget with all needing color. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS SALON TO anyone she is so energetic and a real joy to be around.

I was sent to Mickey by friends who said let her do her magic. MY HAIR LOOKS GREAT AND IS SO SHINY I had to write something about her. She told me my hair would feel better after putting some type of color on my hair and just shaping a new style. WOW is all I can say to my hair. Coming from Florida I was nervous about getting my Blonde Highlights touched up. Having 2 other salons make my highlights look frosty and old, I almost went back dark. Mickey was referred to me by a woman in the grocery store who thought she had hung the moon. I went in and was surprised not only were my highlights real looking my hair felt great and I loved her personality. She is fun and energetic. Her staff is courtesy and very clean inside the salon. I have sent 3 friends which I normally don't do and they have been thrilled. Mickey I love my highlights and you are a gem. Lydia M.

First can I say my hair color and haircut is so wonderful that I am beside myself.

I found Mickey on citysearch and being Asian my hair is very hard to cut and straight .
as a stick. My haircuts are always boring and usually uneven. Since my hair was a boring dark color I had
no idea I could have a brown like this or a haircut like Mickey gave me. This is a gorgeous Spa and everyone is so friendly. May I say I was recommended to Mickey and was very sceptical since so many salons claim to of been trained with Vidal Sassoon and when I get there not one piece of information proving it. Their were diploma's and pictures on her wall, which says not all the salons try to pull the wool over us southern girls. My highlights were perfect and she listened to all of my concerns and wants. My hair looks very modern and is in the best condition ever with the shine she put over my highlights. Thank you mickey

I first was recommended by friends to Mickey for a haircut correction. She was so great and took my choppy hair and yellow highlights to a beautiful carmel color. Everyone loved my haircut and I get so many compliments. Then I was introduced to her staff and did a spa day FIRST CLASS OPERATION. Her spa is warm cozy and so inviting to everyone. Such a refreshing change from the snobby spas in Charlotte. I left feeling great and Mickey was gracious enough to touch my hair up at NO CHARGE. I am too picky for some but having a color that looks like my 5 year old did it is enough to have you stop coloring. My hair was a disaster, broken and I looked like a stripe. Mickey listened to my woes and let me show her every color I wanted, This is by far the best color I have ever had. She not only fixed my color, cut my hair that I can fix and MY husband thought I was gorgeous. THANK YOU MICKEY I look the best I have in 10 years, not to mention I can afford to go shopping for new clothes. Her prices were reasonable. ccdd here.

Like most women, I am pretty picky about my hair and can honestly say I have NEVER been completely satisfied with a cut and/or color. I always wish something were a bit different. Well today, I am completely and utterly floored at how much I love my hair. Yesterday, Mickey cut and colored my hair and it looks absolutely amazing. You know those little flutters you get in and around your sternum when you are really excited about something? I have not stopped feeling those since leaving Mickey?s salon yesterday! The color is absolutely PERFECT. It is the ideal mix of warmth and coolness that has catapulted me into fall. And the cut is insane. Insane. I went in without too much of an idea of what I wanted to do. Mickey asked what I wanted, and I told her to do whatever she thought would look amazing?and it sincerely does. I have never been this 100% satisfied in my life, and it is such an incredible feeling. Friends and family have told me it is the best cut I have ever had?and I?ve tried a few!

I found this salon on Citysearch and sincerely recommend Mickey to any of you out there looking for a new place to go. You will not be disappointed.

I moved here from California and my teenage daughter put color on her hair and made a mess. I found Mickey here on Citysearch and THANK HEAVENS: My daughter loved her hair and color. I decided to give this salon a try after reading all the great reviews about it, but it was a huge mistake. I am getting married in Charlotte, but I live in Cincinnati, so I only had one weekend in town to find a good hairdresser for my wedding. I drove 40 minutes to get to this place only to find no one there. When I finally got a hold of the owner she told me they had scheduled me a different time and asked me to sit there and wait for someone to show up (I had email confirmation of the appointment time). Needless to say, this was a huge waste of time and I still don't have a hairdresser 2 months before my wedding!

I read about all these ladies ranting and raving about this salon. So I go and check it out. I am just a professional guy looking for a good haircut. Sure I can go to a barber shop but I look for someone who makes suggestions and provide some style with their work. Mickey has "Style"!! She is one talented chick when it comes to cutting hair. If you want a great cut with some "style" go see Mickey at MC3 Salon.

Awesome Highlight and Cut from Mickey this morning. Wow coming from LA and Philly, I have had some awesome stylist but since I have been here in Charlotte It's been a nightmare to find someone who knows how to give you that sunkissed blonde highlight when you have dark brown hair. I found her salon here on citysearch and let me tell you all the reviews are true. I am very Picky and know exactly what type of result I am looking for and she acheived it. I hope this review helps others that are looking for a stylist who knows color and cut, Mickey is it. I almost forgot the total process for color, cut, style was 40 minutes..Yes I know It used to take me 2and half hours anywhere else.

Moving to Charlotte and finding a stylist here was a disaster until I was recommended to Mickey for color correction, and Haircut fix. What a great job and the best I have had in Charlotte. Women who have kids and are on a budget like my family is this women puts real passion in what she creates and cares for people. I normally won't write in but after 3 color disasters here in Charlotte and hairstylist/ color so called experts ruining my hair $ 1,000 later. I had to let other women out their know their is someone who listens and gets it. I went to Mickey with orange roots white frizzy ends and a disaster of a haircut I thought no one could fix. NOT ONLY DID SHE FIX MY COLOR AND HAIRCUT that I wanted to shave off and hide. I look better than my first color disaster. She listens and her personality is A PLUS. My hair was a huge SUCCESS with all of my friends and my husband loved it. My pocket book is still got something in it. She is a must see and her staff is sweet and they have such good energy. I was referred to Mickey to correct a very poor highlight. I was so pleased to have my color back to a real looking color. Her salon is so beautiful and she is wonderful. I have sent all my friends to her. We all love her creativity, honesty , and most of all I didn't feel like the bank broke me. What a great place to go and come out with a color that is exactly what I asked for.

My girlfriends and I did a day and what a beautiful place. The staff is friendly knowledable and so personable. The owner Mickey makes it a point to make your visit the best. her energy is contagious. This is a must see and do place. My massage was great and we all loved the facials and services. If you get a chance go what a nice experience from the snobs.

I absolutely love this place! The fun, laid-back atmosphere is a breath of fresh air compared to all the other snobby, patronizing "specialty" salon/spas in Charlotte. At MC3, you feel like you are visiting an old friend who happens to be in the beauty industry! Mickey, the owner, is wildly energetic and is an incredible stylist. Her new esthetician, Alison, is wonderful - besides being talented and possessing a soothing touch, she is easy to talk to and has a wealth of skin advice that is easy to understand and apply to your everyday life. I just need to go back and get a full spa day now, and stick around for a pedicure I hear is also perfection!

I moved from Atlanta hoping to find a Stylist right away and I had the opportunity to be referred to Mickey.

I was in Charlotte on Business and found Mickey online. I had a horrible perm and haircut. I made a consultation first. Can I say she knocked my socks off. My hair not only looks and feels like hair again. All the damage from my previous perm seemed gone and my outdated color and haircut were vastly improved.
If I could send all of my friends and people to her as my treat I would. SHE IS A SUPBERB STYLIST WITH ENERGY, VITALITY, AND MOST OF ALL COMPASSION FOR PEOPLE. If you have had a bad experience or someone who doesn't listen, check her out.

I was referred to Mickey from a client at work. I was so impressed with her facility. Her knowledge of color was very impressive and she was very attentive to my insecurities. I had many experiences with bad haircuts and brassy blonde highlights that were too heavy. Her services were very resonable and I did not feel like a production line. I left feeling the best I had felt in Years and her personality is so refreshing and enthusiastic. I can not say enough good things about my experience. My wife talked me into going to a salon from the barber shop and I was not thrilled but to keep her happy I went. Hands down Mickey gave me the best haircut I have ever had. She explained what she was doing and I got a little color and not one person could tell. If I would of known going to the salon would of made me look better I would of done it along time ago. I recently found the best salon in Charlotte. I have been looking for new style for my hair as I have had the same boring look for over 10 years and was ready for new "younger" look. Mickey was extremely knowledgeable and very up to date on the new styles and gave me the best cut I have had in years. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable in making this change. She also suggested something I never thought I would do and that is a manicure. Her assistant Hope was very friendly as well and they both make a great team and she did a awesome job on my nails. Her salon is much more then just hair as it was very pleasant from the moment I walked in as I felt like I was at home in the comfortable setting and warm atmosphere her spa gives you. Its relaxing from the second your in the door. It was truly a very enjoyable experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new change from the same boring salon your in now.

I was referred to MC 3 Salon for a corrective color. I had 5 colors and and my hair was breaking off from a bad color prior. Mickey was the first one to be honest and say it would not be fixed first go around, I needed to not be so blonde. I was thrilled and my haircut was wonderful.

The first time I visited the salon, Mickey gave me the wrong cut. I had told her what I wanted and she convinced me she knew exactly how to do it. I noticed while my hair was wet that she didn't look like she was cutting it right and I told her. She laughed and said I would see when it dryed and I trusted her. When she finished, she went on and on about how she had received an award for the cut that she had given me-- I guess she gave me what she wanted to give me. She was so fake and over the top friendly and she cut my hair too short for me to have it fixed until it grows out some more. Its the most boring cut I have ever had.

My girlfriend was in from LA and I wanted to treat her to some southern Hospitality. I took her into MC3 and it was such a great experience. I really enjoyed it and Mickey is wonderful. Moving to Charlotte from New York I had concerns of finding a colorist. I was referred to Mickey and was so blown away. Not only did she get my color right the first time she improved it and made my cut the best it has been in years. I loved the whole feel in her salon and I didn;t leave broke. She is one of the best stylist I have been to in a long time. I would highly recommend her.

I was referred to Mickey for corrective color. She took my horrible bleached out highlights to a beautiful and more natural color. Her salon is a welcome refreshment. Not only did I get a wonderful haircut, but the best Highlights I have had since I move to Charlotte. She is the only hairdressor I have been to that not only discussed my needs but seem to really want to hear my concerns on my hair and how to fix them.

I'm so happy i found MC3 Salon. It's in a small house tucked in Myers Park. The internior is quaint and was pretty quiet when i went on a saturday morning. It was a nice change from the larger, impersonal salons with loud music. Vincenzo cut my hair and did a fabulous job. He sat me in his chair before he washed it to discuss what i wanted. He actually listened to me and made recommendations based on what i had in mind and the texture of my hair. I cut 11 inches off my mane(decision i made before i went in) and Vincenzo made me feel comfortable about it. He gave me a modern twist on a bob and i've gotten so many compliments. I'm so happy i went to him for my drastic change. I'm a customer for life!
