It has now been over 4 years since arriving in Orlando and trying to find a good hair stylist. I found Joseph on the internet and have been his client since. You do not need anyone else after visiting Joseph. I have always been very picky over who does my hair as it it very thick and strong. Joseph has ALWAYS done a great job on my color, cutting and styling. He always listens before suggesting and spends a lot of time with you getting the job done with amazing results. This time with him I made a big change in color, which Joseph had suggested a while ago. I was not disappointed and love it. If you can get my husband to make great comments on my hair after a visit to Joseph you cannot go wrong. As you can see I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JOSEPH KELLNER, he will not disappoint.

Jospeh is thee best hairdresser I have ever been to. I have visited him twice for color and cut, and I have been extremely happy with his service both times. He delivers a truly personal service, listening to your requirements and is able to interpret what you want and produce a terrific end result. If you are tired of leaving hairdressers frustrated, give Joseph a try. You won't be disappointed.

First of all Joseph meets and exceeds my needs with appointment times... His new location fits him well! You have to see it!! Joseph has a phenomenal memory and takes a genuine concern to you as a person, not just another person in his chair. I used to think of getting ideas for my hair through magazines After my first visit with him I knew I didnt have to bother. It has been well over 4 years that I have know Joseph and watching him amazes more and more every time. I cant thank you enough for how great you make me feel and how great my hair looks

I came down to Orlando for the winter with a recommend from my at home stylist and toally fell in love with Joseph. Went to his new very sheek and stylish salon with some changes in mind ...Well i could not believe how magnificent he made me look Had my family coming down for my husbands 60th surprise party .......when my daughters and friends saw me they flipped ..... said my hair looked better than it has in all the years they know me COLOR FANTASTIC...SYTLE SPECTACULAR he took 20 years off so i am now 60 is the new 40!!!!!!!!! I can only say if you are looking for a spectaular colorist as well as an informed and interesting creator Joseph is your man....My only problem is i can't take him back north with me!!!!!!!

I had black hair and I wanted to go to a dark choc brown and made the mistake of allowing a girlfriend who's hair always looks great and seems to do a good job on other peoples hair attempt to lighten my hair.. well it was ended in a mess where I had like 4 or 5 different crazy bright oranges and reds in my black and brown hair.. I looked a crazy !!! I was soo upset , and felt gross with my hair. I was desperate and did not want her ""trying to fix it"" So I searched google for a color expert and this was the first site I seen and started reading about This guy. Checked out his website the whole 9.. seemed like he was the one to fix my hair from hell.. Best decision I think I made ever for my hair!!! Not only did he Fix my hair that looks amazing now he also opened my eyes to the beauty industry and the REAL TRUTH! He truly is a hair Genuis & he will be the only person allowed to ever work in my hair.... He is funny & personalble! I came in down and I left feeling amazing & looking amazing as you should!!!

The bottom line is my hair color looks great and he does a great job of cutting my hair too. He has a new location which is really nice and in a convenient place. Go see Joseph if you want to look your best!

This is the second time I've gotten my hair cut and colored by Joseph. I am really picky and I've also had some really bad experiences getting my hair colored by other people. I found him online because of his website and his great reviews on city search. Since he was voted ""Best Colorist"" in Orlando, I thought I couldn't go wrong, and I gave him a try.

I was more than happy with the results! I've gotten my hair colored by so many people in Orlando, but the reason I came back to him was I loved the color he gave me. I am usually nervous waiting for the results, but I completely trusted him to make me gorgeous! The highlights looked natural, and the color was EXACTLY what I wanted. I've looked through the photos of my various hair colors, and the best hair color I've ever had was done by him! He really knows how to get the look that fits your skin color and brings out your eyes. He also has given me the best cut - the layers are perfect and make my hair bouncy and frame my face nicely.

On a side note, he has a fun personality, and is easy to talk to, which is a bonus, when you're in the chair for so long.

Joseph is supremely talented. I've lived in different parts of the world - Europe, US so my experience with stylists has been incredibly varied. From obscenely expensive high-end salons in London to quaint small-town stylists in rural Scotland, Joseph has been the best, period. To be honest, I've never been enthusiastic enough about a stylist to write a review (I found Joseph through these reviews, so I figured I'd now write my own...).\r
It goes far beyond the fact that he's incredibly meticulous and has a fantastic eye for detail. He's a true professional who takes immense pride in his work. Joseph's cuts and color work get better & better....they build on each other in a steady progression, as if he's carefully honing his work with every visit. He spends plenty of time discussing what you want, every time, and offers insightful suggestions that hadnt even crossed your mind. Oh, and hes a genuinely cool and interesting cat to boot...a few of his stories are pretty wild.\r
After my first visit or two, I started to get approving remarks from friends & family. Even someone who had always said how over-processed my hair looked mentioned with no prompting that she really liked the condition, cut and color. When I said, Ahbut havent you always thought my hair lacked condition?, she replied, Well, but this is different - now youre obviously working with someone who knows exactly what he's doing!. \r
In other words, Josephs work speaks for itself. \r

I used to drive 2 hours to get my hair done. Joseph is the one and only person in Orlando that has done an absolute amazing job with my highlights. He also has a great personality and I look forward to my hair appointments!

I arrived in Joseph's chair with hair badly burnt and damaged by another claiming to be a ""Master Stylist"". He immediately put me at ease with the extent of his knowledge. He was honest with me that there was no immediate solution, and explained to me the steps he would take to help expedite the repair process. Joseph worked with my hair over several visits to bring it back to its former glory. He is a TRUE Master in every sense of the word. \r

Joseph is the most flexible, accomodating professional in the industry with my crazy work schedule. We had an appointment at 7am so that I could get in or he has stayed late in the past.\r

Joseph is a master colorist. And he truly cares about his clients. I've been going to him for over 5 years and he always always does a beautiful job on my hair, making it look so natural and healthy. And I love how Joseph is constantly learning more about his craft -- and teaching others too! ... I left Orlando for 5 months and I was totally lost without Joseph. I spent even more money at an expensive salon in New Orleans and walked away unhappy and with damaged hair. Now that I'm back in town for good, I'm never leaving him! :)

I first discovered Joseph, 9 years ago after I had my blond hair turned blaw brown and fried at another salon. My hair is very fine and I was sure he'd have to cut it almost entirely off to restore it. When I walked into this high end salon, I spoke with the manager who said you need to see Joseph. Joseph is the best.

I returned for my appointment with Joseph and I was amazed that he was able to restore my blond and recondition the hair so that it wasn't even damaged. I didn't even have to cut it! I was truly impressed.

I can honestly say, that in all the years I've been having my hair highlighted/colored there has NEVER been another hair colorist who has CONSISTENTLY done a fabulous job every time. (I have gone to the best high end salons in Boston, etc) The color he does is beautiful and even my BABY FINE hair doesn't get damaged. I wear it long too.

Since my first visit, I have followed Joseph to every salon he has been at. I am a very happy, real customer who can't say enough about Joseph.

I'd like to start off by saying how OBVIOUS it is that all the 5 star reviews on this site are written by Joseph Kellner himself. They are ALL written the exact same way, by people with only ONE review who have NO cons on their experience. Anyone who has had their hair done by this man know there are plenty of cons!

Now onto my experience at the ""Joseph Kellner Salon,"" which might I add, does not exist; he rents a chair in a hair salon and only comes in for his appointments.

My appointment was at 1pm; as I was walking to the salon from my car at 1:02pm I received a phone call from Joseph asking if I was lost. He sits me down in his chair and I tell him that I would like to dye my dark hair blonde, something I've done several times in the past. The ""Top Colorist in Orlando"" says he can't do that, so I just let him cut my hair. I told him three times I was growing out my bangs and not to cut them, but it was obvious to me that he wanted to. While he is cutting my hair he asks me to close my eyes because he did not want to get some product in my eyes. THEN HE PROCEEDED TO CUT MY BANGS WHILE MY EYES WERE CLOSED! While he blow dried my hair, he positioned my head in several different ways. Whenever I slightly moved my head, he would turn the blow dryer off , stomp his feet, and say ""Are you going to sit still now?"" I had asked prior to my appointment how much the cut was going to cost; it was supposed to be $50, but he says it is $75. I ask why and he tells me he put a special treatment in my hair, which was really just a simple pomade that I did not ask for; I tell him I will not pay for that. I give him a $100 bill to pay with, which was all that I had on me. He then tells me he does not have change, and to put it on a credit card. I explain to him that I do not have a credit card, and to ask someone else in the salon for change. He refuses and tells me to go to the gas station to get change! I go and they do not have change. When I tell him, he insists that I use a credit card even though I told him I do not have one. He rudely says he doesn't understand how I could not have a credit card. I tell him I don't understand how you could come to work knowing you do not have change. Finally, I had to ask customers in the salon if they had change.

This man is extremely rude, unprofessional, and just plain AWFUL. I could have gone to Supercuts and received the same or better cut, without being treated so horribly. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO TO JOSEPH KELLNER.

I made an appointment as a new client early in the week for friday 3pm and I was working over night at a hospital and I had not checked my voicemail for 30+hours. I had a vm from Joseph saying that I need to call him and confirm my appt or else he will take me off the book. So early Friday morning I call back to let him know that I was still planning on coming and as soon as I said my name he said "" sorry I took you off"" and HUNG UP! I call again and I explain the situation and he says ""THATS TOO BAD"" and HANGS UP ON MY FACE AGAIN!!!!
Im glad this happened prior to getting my hair done by him. He was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. I have been to many salons and never have I been treated in such a way. I would rather go to ANY SALON but this one!

I honestly thought that I was in a ""candid camera"" set-up, I kept looking around for the camera, and kept thinking, this couldn't be so over the top bad? This is some kind of candid camera stunt. But in fact it was that bad, by far t he worse experience I've ever had.

The sad fact is that this guy thinks he is the official hairstylist for Hollywood movie stars, I've seen clowns with better hair and make up than what this guy does, it's ridiculous.

Reading the ""positive"" reviews, they'RE more fake than a $3 dollar bill. This guy obviously wrote them up or paid people to do it for him. This is why these review sites aren't very reliable. One business owner can write up 30 fake reviews with 5 stars and people who don't read them fall for it.

After reading the reviews posted on this site it's plain to see that these comments are as fabricated as his list of talents. One would think that as a salon voted '""BEST OF"" a salon of this caliber would not be breaking womens hair off by the handfuls & making it look like spider webs. Handfuls of hair breaking off? You would have to be a ""MENTALLY OUT TO LUNCH"" to go to this salon. And the ""JUNIOR VARSITY"" haircuts that are showcased as high fashion on his website are the same as JCPenny give my 10 yr. old daughter, what a joke. With so many other talented color salons in orlando I will be going elsewhere. Thank you city search for putting the truth out there.

I did ALL the reseach,reviews and I do LOOK AFTER MY HAIR with the best products! Joseph is on his own agenda and was not honest with me. I had asked he if there was ANY chance of breakage I was fine with low lights being added and leave my hair, as is. I made it very clear I was very concerned about the condition and NOT about reaching a ""GOAL"". Well, I was white blond with not a stich of brass and the pay off was HANDFULS OF HAIR BREAKING OFF! When I voiced my concerns I was told it should stop soon!!!! I was not happy and he knew it. I called back to find out exactly what product was used and was told 60 v peroxcide! You cannot even buy this in North America because its illegal! Ya there is not doubt Joseph can get a black Panther blond and bald!!!! So if yo want blond he's the man.

When I first got home my boy friend couldn't stop commenting on how incredible my hair looks. The next day at work was the same. I went out last night with my friends and it was the same!

I never write reviews because I do so much writing at work, but after about the 20th compliment, I felt I had to share my exuberance with everyone.

I love my hair! I've never had reactions like this before. I look like a new person. Best part is how it makes me feel. I feel very glamorous. I love my hair!!

After getting my hair done by Joseph I wanted to share my experience with everyone. I'm not a big blogger and rarely have the time to write reviews. Joseph is special. He's an extremely knowledgeable and talented artist. I feel fortunate to have discovered him and will only trust my hair to him.

I had my mind made up as to what I was going to write until I read the disdainful review and thought to myself, ""Who is this person? How could they have anything bad to say about Joseph?"" I have worked in customer service for 30 years and I knew ""who this person was"" and ""How they could speak such bile"" because these people are the customers that are never satisfied with any service. I've seen them over the years. As a provider they are always difficult to work with and never happy with anyone's services. Joseph, I'm sorry they happened into your chair.

First: I've been to the most exclusive salons from Boston to Miami. I've paid top dollar by the best in the swankiest salons. Can I be honest? I've never felt my money was well spent on a snobby waiffish 20 year old receptionist who looked down their nose at us mere mortals. I've followed Joseph from salon to salon and I'll be honest: I like when I call and reach him for an appointment. I get scheduled for what I need not by an over zealous receptionist who under schedules my appointment slot because she doesn't know what the job entails.

Second: I have never found Joseph to be rude or gruff to anyone. He's fun, yet professional and never pretentious (I hated those types of salons).

Third and most importantly: Joseph is a truly, gifted, knowledgeable and talented artist. I would change doctors before giving him up.

When I first discovered him my hair was ruined from a horribly over processed job done by one of those snobbish, high end salons. I truly thought the only recourse for my baby fine hair was to cut it to about 2 inches and wait to grow. I was horrified. Much to my amazement my hair was beauitfully restored. The texture was silky and smooth. I didn't have to cut it off and the blonde color was spectacular. I have seen Joseph for years and cherish him as an individual and artist.

I feel offended at the previous reviews because they are wrong. I know the type of customer who wrote it and their discontentment is not a reflection on Joseph. I stand strong in my recommendation that Joseph is special and if you are fortunate enough to work with him, you will understand what I mean.

Joseph you are the best and I look forward to being your customer for many, many years. Thank you for all the consistently beautiful work you have provided me over the past years.

I made an appointment for a color correction after reading about Kellner on Cotysearch. When I called the salon I was surprised to hear a very grumpy man answer the phone without even stating the name of the salon. I wondered what had happened to his receptionist?? I made the appointment for two days later at 10AM. The day before the appointment the same man (Kellner) called me to confirm for 9AM the next day. This was an hour earlier than we had agreed to but I said okay I will be there at 9AM. \r
The morning of the appointment a very rude Mr. Kellner called to cancel me. He said he did not remember reaching me the night before by phone and removed me from his appointment schedule because he was unable to reach me to confirm.\r
I suggest he hires a receptionist to handle these things for him. I would advise you to go anywhere other than this thoroughly unprofessional and rude salon!!

I researched him through this site looking for a good colorist to correct my blond hair. He was VERY brash to begin with, but ignored it because I wanted the best. He didnt go over what he was going to do with my color (I was correcting my blond) and just began on my hair. I wasnt feeling so concered because he was supposed to be the best.\r
It wasnt until his assistant was washing out the deep conditioning treatment that I began to wonder about breakage...MY HAIR WAS FALLING OUT BY THE HANDFULLS!!!!!! LITTERALLY! Handfulls of hair! I was tearing up and shaking! He was finishing up with another client, so I waited patiently to speak with him about what we were gonna do to fix this. I am NOT that girl who makes a fuss of anything!!!!! So it is out of character for me to get upset, but this was an exception!\r
I finally get back in his chair and told him I was freking out a little about the breakage...HE THEN TOLD ME I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN, THAT I DONT TAKE CARE OF MY HAIR, AND THAT I NEEDED TO LEAVE HIS SALON! He was literally kicking me out of his salon! I said that a little sympothy would go a long way and continued to blame me for what HE DID. I was FLOORED! I asked him if he could at least cut it so it would stop breaking..and he SAID NO. I still had WET HAIR and was crying...he walked me to the front door and said...""PLEASE LEAVE, you dont take care of your hair"". WHAT?? arent you the professional???? I then proceeded to have a panic attack in the parking lot in my car. I now have to cut my long hair SHORT to fix it because of how much hair has fallen out. I will be taking him to small claims court...not for how BAD he messed up on my hair, but how BAD he treated me..acting like it was my fault that HE messed up. \r

My visit to Josephs Salon was a long time coming. I had seen just about every terrible hairdresser in Orlando. Finally I decided to log on to City Search, do my research and find a hairdresser that would allow me to leave the salon a satisfied customer. Upon walking in I felt very welcomed. Joseph listened to my past hair traumas and came up with a vision which came to life on my locks. I have had about four appointments since and left each time feeling gorgeous. My hair has never been so vibrant and healthy. I get complements on the cut and color at least once a day. If you've been looking for the right style, look no further...make an appointment today I promise you won't be disappointed.

I am an international model, and I have to have my hair perfect at all times. I fly back and forth between Asia and Florida doing photo shoot after photoshoot. Every time I am here, I have to see Joseph! He really listens to my vision for my hair, and does exactly what I want!\r
I even have him flown out a few times in Tokyo and Miami, because I didn't trust anyone to do my hair but Joseph!\r
When you walk into his room, you can see his past clientele, and it sets the newer clients at ease, because they know they are in the right place! All over his walls are photographs of model after model, and even some photos of Ms. Universe pagent he did the hair for! He really knows his stuff! I highly reccommend Joseph Kellner Salon as THE salon to go to in Orlando!

Orlando is very lucky to have Joseph Kellner! He has so much knowledge about the beauty industry and his experience is absolutely incredible. On the walls in his salon are photos of Joseph shaking hands with Donald Trump while he worked as a hair dresser at the Miss America Beauty Pageant. He stays on top of the trends so he can give people what they want when they come see him.\r
Joseph has colored and cut my hair many times and each time I am extremely satisfied with the results. I have so many people compliment me on my hair color. I refer many of my friends to him because I trust that he will make them look fabulous!

Okay Ladies... We all want hair just like in all the magazines but after going to numerous number of hair stylist we start to give up. Thinking unless we are in Hollywood, the chances of looking like ""Hollywood Glamor"" is not existent. I use to think that until I found Joseph.\r

Well guess what ladies, I have truly found the stylist with a magic wand. Joseph sat me down and he gave me a consultation and talked to me about my options. He was extremely thorough and honest which I thought the world of. After working his magic I thought ""WOW""! \r

Even the very next day I was at the airport catching a flight and two ladies stopped to ask me where I had my hair done, one of which of those ladies waited for me on the other side of security. Now we all know when someone goes out of their way to point out something good about you... you know you look good. So all I can say is Thank You Joseph! \r

I travel the world for a living and can have my hair done abroad in some of the most exotic places but you don't give up a good thing. And Joseph is a good thing. Here's a doozy for you.... I'm a natural dark blonde, but during a punk rock phase of my life, I colored my hair jet black, and it stayed that way for about 3 years. Why? Well, for one, it was totally RAD...for two, it was REALLY hard to go back to blonde. Salons would tell me to either let it grow out, cut it off, or just keep dying it black. But that's really hard to hear when you want to see your natural color again (and coming from the generation of instant gratification, I can't say I was a saint about hearing those opinions). I found Joseph by doing some corrective color research online. The first three pages of Google are FILLED with reviews of him and his work, so I thought I would look him up. I told him my situation and scheduled the consultation, and I have to say that I appreciate his HONESTY. Joseph tells you like it is...he's honest about the situation, sets real expectations, and finds a solution that meets your needs and desires. I spent my first appointment with him just getting some highlights to correct some of the black in my hair, and his passion was an inspiration. I found Joseph Kellner online after I moved from Saint Augustine and decided after driving back and forth for three months (to Saint Augustine) to get my hair done, I was going to give Joseph a try. That was almost a year and a half ago. I have never met an individual with more passion about hair than Joseph. He is a truly amazing artist and has an incredible eye for color.\r
