My first experience with the Woodhouse Spa was at Christmas three years ago. I wanted to buy my husband a year's worth of monthly massages for a present. I called the spa and they took my order over the phone. Twenty minutes later, I drove up in front of the business and the owner came out to my car and delivered the gift certificate beautifully wrapped and ready for giving I was Impressed!!
My husband and I have set up "spa days" for ourselves and our six adult children when they come in from out of town for holidays.
This is a highlight of the holidays for all of us and is the ultimate experience in relaxation and enjoyment.
As soon as you walk into the Woodhouse you begin to feel pampered. The aromatherapy, luscious robes, rich dark wood and crystal chandeliers are just the beginning.
The staff could not be more accommodating. We usually gather in the quiet room for mimosa's and appetizers prior to our massages. I have experienced several different massages and different massage therapists, since I started going to the
Woodhouse three years ago and they have all been professional and well trained.
In my family we talk about our spa parties long after the experience is over.
If you have not been to the Woodhouse Day Spa I recommend that you treat yourself, you will not be disapointed!
I've been to the Woodhouse Day Spa a few times. I have received 3 massages 2 manicures and 2 pedicures. Every time I have been there my experience has been amazing. The staff is top notch, polite, helpful, knowledgeable , talented, and the best part SKILLED. I recommend to all my friends and clients to go see the staff at Woodhouse. Take my advise go today.
Whenever I come in from Chicago to visit I always set up a service for either myself or my fiance. The spa staff is always extremely courteous and thorough. I bought spa treatment for my 4 sisters and they absolutely loved the place. I've personally had massages and facials there and will continue to visit every time I come to town. Highly recommend.
I was at Woodhouse Day Spa getting a message and I spent $110 for a hour message and I left feeling like I was ripped off. I did not feel relaxed, the masseuse did not spend any time working on my problem areas she kept trying to talk to me when I told her that I did not want to talk that I just wanted to relax. When I complained about the service I received nothing was done about it, no apology was giving .
All around the Woodhouse Day Spa offers bad service.
Went with a friend for massage and facial. Facial was great loved the products, love that they are organic and natural. Parking was a bight tight i had to wait for a spot for a few minutes but it was worth it!
Pros: atmosphere, customer service
Cons: parking was tight
I visited The Woodhouse last week and really loved it. I gave the manager my compliments and asked what I could do for him to help spread the word; he said "post a review" so here it is!
I had a massage with Ed who was fabulous (and cute) and also had a pedicure (although i've forgotten the girls name). The spa has a great atmosphere, and the people that work there really seem to care about what they're doing. Overall, it was just a really great experience. I would highly recommend.
Pros: Great Service, Nice Atmosphere
Cons: None really
was in post-massage zone and girl convinced me that my $120 gift certificate was needed to cover a swedish massage and tip. Went home to find out swedish massage was only $70... she took a $50 tip?!
i emailed Woodhouse i was so annoyed - and no one even responded to me.
I will never go back, even if the venue is nice because the people are not trustworthy.
Pros: nice massage, good ambiance
Cons: girl at front desk cheated me!
I've been to two of the top spas in the USA and Woodhouse would fit in with this list. The small, intimate nature of the lobby to the top shelf products provided free of charge in the shower -- this place can't be beat. The services are very reasonable, when they could charge a lot more for their services. I always see Brian when I go, he is the best! I highly recommend this spa to all.
Pros: Beautiful spa, reasonable pricing
I was scheduled to be off work for the day, but decided to go into the office to attend a budget meeting. A one hour meeting turned into three hours of ?one more thing?. I was literally replying to e-mails as I was walking into the wonderful escape called The Woodhouse. The minute I entered door my entire being shifted. I was warmly greeted and given a relaxing cup of peach tea after I changed into an oversized (very important) terry cloth robe.
The Woodhouse is for the discriminating spa lover. Each room is uniquely designed and inviting, with state of the art equipment and simple organic touches that immediately engulf you. The staff is professional, warm and knowledgeable.
By the end of my body scrub and swedish massage, I had forgotten what all the fuss was about at work and drifted home on a cloud.
A neighborhood gem, with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. Menu of services can meet any requirement and the quality of the services delivered are well worth the trip.
Pros: warm, friendly, comfortable atmosphere
Cons: parking can be a challenge depending on the time of day
After having difficulty trying to schedule an appointment at a different spa, I stumbled upon the Woodhouse. It turned out to be an amazing discovery. They were extremely friendly and helped me to plan a very romantic afternoon to celebrate the day I proposed to my girlfriend. From the moment we walked in, everything was wonderful. We felt like VIP?s as every member of the staff knew who we were and congratulated us on our recent engagement. We started our experience with an incredible couple?s massage which we both really enjoyed. After the massage the staff had previously helped me to arrange a nice lunch at a nearby diner. After lunch I surprised my new fiance again with a trip back to the Woodhouse where we were escorted to the waiting area and served chocolate covered strawberries and two glasses of Champaign. The afternoon was finally topped off with The Woodhouse Manicure to ensure that her hands looked great for showing off the ring. Once again the customer service was superb and everyone treated us fantastic. The experience was beyond expectations and I highly recommend the Woodhouse to everyone. I know they helped me to create a lasting memory I will never forget.
Pros: The customer service was extraordinary!
TAKE ME AWAY WOODHOUSE .... were my thoughts when I first entered the doors of this beautiful spa. I immediately felt relaxed with the ambiance of the surrounding wood, lights and aromas. Pure relaxation is how I felt during my full body massage and facial. The staff was not only professional but made sure that all of my needs were being met. This includes serving the most wonderful herbal tea. All I can say is "Thank You" for such a great experience. Of course, I will be back!
The Wood Day Spa was an excellent experience. The massage not only was relaxing it was no expensive. They knew how hard to push and how soft to push. I had no complaints and nothing but excellent feedback. I also booked a time for my husband to go and have his done as well. We went on the same day and I plan on going back. I believe everyone should try them out, I guarantee that you will love it.
Pros: Everything was wonderful. nice atmosphere, smelled lovely, very relaxing.
Cons: It went kind of quick for 45 mins.
I had been wanting to go to the Woodhouse Day spa since the day it opened, it looked beautiful and peaceful when I would drive by on my way home. My first experience there was in December when I bought a couples massage for myself and my fiance for christmas. The massage was amazing, the people were friendly and I really felt like I could tell them if something hurt or if I wanted them to work on a spot more. They asked me several times through out how I was doing and if I was comfortable, but they didnt ask to the point where I was not at peace laying there. The atmosphere from when we walked in until we left was serene and calming. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful, from the tour to the private room where sweets and water or tea was served. I loved the experience so much that my fiance bought me a pedicure/manicure package for Christmas. I was so excited to use it that I was back in there in January. My experience with the pedicure/manicure was just as great as the one with the massage. When I left there I felt rested and relaxed. My toes and nails look amazing and I was ready to get on with my day after starting it that way. I would recommend this place to someone who has time to relax, even if it is just for 30 minutes. You will leave there feeling relaxed and rejuvinated and it is well worth the price.
Pros: atmosphere was amazing, staff was friendly and helpful, easy to relax
Cons: little pricey, but not as bad as some that are out there
The first thing that struck me about Woodhouse Day Spa was how peaceful it was. It's a very comfortable and quiet entrance process: very welcoming and calm. There is not a big rush to the counter, people on phones or any hustle/bustle. You instantly feel part of the spa environment. The staff was extremely friendly, accomodating every need and never rushing us along. Our pedicures were in a peaceful room however we felt comfortable talking as it was very private. It was like having a pedicure in a massage room complete with candles and a warm environment. I was very impressed with Woodhouse and would definitely return again!
Pros: Very calm and serene, friendly staff, spa atmosphere from start to finish
Cons: I wasn't sure exactly where to park at first but the lot is right under the building so very convenient
I went to Woodhouse to get a manicure and pedicure for my daughters wedding. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service was quick and efficient. I was very pleased with the work and the professionalism. I also purchased one of their wonderful candlles and some of their products. I have been happy with both.
On my next visit, I am going to get a massage. I have heard that the massages are the best in the Cincinnati area.
Pros: Thumbs up
My daughter lives out of town and searched on line and found Woodhouse Spa in Montgomery, which is close to where I live.. It was a special treat for my birthday. It was the most wonderful experience I have had. From the time we were greated, the 90 minutes messages we had, which was fantastic My gal Angie was great, to the facials we had which I believe were 90 minutes was as fantastic as the massages. I had Kristie, I believe her name was. It was the most relaxing experiance I have ever had at a spa. I go occasionaly to treat myself or gift cards from my girls. But, never have I experiance a relaxing afternonn as I did at Woodhouse. I have told my friends about it, and have been back, not as often as I would like. I am retired and wish I go more often than I do. It is first class all the way. I am truly looking forward to my next experience there. Hoping i can go again at the end of the summer.I
Every time I visit Cincinnati from Seattle, I try to stop in at The Woodhouse Day Spa for a visit. The first time, I had traveled for two days and had a splitting headache; the pleasant receptionist made some recommendations for treatments for travelers and headaches, which both ended up being perfect! I definitely recommend the "headache relief" treatment! Private, quiet, and the therapists are professional and courteous. Setting is comfortable and clean. Shopping area is a lot of fun too! An A++ in my book.
Pros: service, ambience, setting, great massage therapists
After searching for day spas in Dayton as a gift to a friend and finding the options limited I decided to broaden my search to include Cincinnati and I'm so glad I did. I signed my friend up for the Gentlemen's manicure and a massage, imagine my surprise when he suggested we get the couples massage. We walked into Woodhouse and were immediately greeted and shown to changing areas. The robes were comfortable and the slippers will massaged your feet all by themselves! While my friend was getting his manicure I was asked to my delight if I would like to soak my feet in the foot bath while I waited! Next came the massage with hot stones...what an awesome experience. We both commented on how neither of us has had a more pleasurable experience in a day spa before and we have had spa experiences in various parts of the U.S. as well as outside the country. I would happily recommend Woodhouse Day Spa to anyone looking for 1st class treatment in a 1st class environment.
Pros: Ambience, Staff, Lighting, Music, Tea
My husband gave me the "12 Months of Christmas" package as a gift, which entitles me to monthly visits to
The Woodhouse for the service of my choice. I admit I was a little concerned before the first time I went, due to some bad past experiences at other spas. I had no reason to be concerned - the atmosphere is so peaceful, and everyone is so nice. I'm never rushed, and I love sitting in the quiet sitting room with a cup of tea before and after my massage. The robes are always soft and inviting, the music soothing, the scents pleasing. My favorite so far is the volcanic stone massage.
I have visited this Spa twice. Both times I have had a wonderful experience. My husband and I went for couples massages last fall for our anniversary. As soon as we walked in off the busy street, we were instantly calmed by the smell and the quiet atmosphere, and the relaxing music. The robes and sandals are very comfortable and the sitting room with the snacks is resort quality. There is no rushing about from the staff or the guests.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our massages; my husband's first. We also added on a Hot Stone Treatment for me and a Shirodhara Scalp Massage for him, which we also enjoyed very much.
My second visit was for a spa pedicure, for which my husband won a gift certificate from the radio station. I was treated exceptionally well and I am looking forward to coming back soon!
Being a guy I was hesitant of visiting a spa but my girlfriend convinced me to go. The staff at Woodhouse were welcoming and made me very comfortable. I had the peppermint scrub pedicure and it was great. I'm looking forward to another one.
As a male and a first time visitor, I had a mixed bag of emotions as I walked into Woodhouse Spa back in early March. Whether it was nervousness or masculinity, I was quickly put at ease with the friendly staff who greeted me at the front door complimented with relaxing music in the air. The staff walked me to the men?s changing room and provided guidance on what to do as I waited for my female counterpart to arrive (who was treating the two of us for both our birthdays). After slipping into my robe and sandals I was seated in a private room with dark wood floors and plush chairs and offered a beverage and snacks while I relax. After my girlfriend arrived we were guided to our couples massage room where we sat side by side and underwent a full body massage. The two women who provided the service were very professional and friendly from the moment we introduced ourselves until we walked out the door. The overall experience was something I highly recommend and plan to do once again in the future.
After a lot of searching the "perfect" spa, I have found one in the Woodhouse! From the minute you walk in, you feel that you are getting luxury service and pampering. The decor of the space is truly inviting--elegance mixed with home design comforts. This is the only place where I hope they are running late, so that I can enjoy the serenity of the waiting room. The service is excellent--the staff are wonderful and make you feel comfortable-even for the first-time spa visit! Overall, it is a great place to bring friends, family, or relax in your own self-indulgence!
Everything at this spa is top notch, from its management, products, ambiance and front line staff. It's also THE place to go if you're looking for an eco-friendly spa experience.
Pros: eco friendly products
The Woodhouse is by far my favorite spa in all of Cincinnati. I like to get massages about once a month for stress relief. I also get pedicures and manicures periodically throughout the year. The experience at the Woodhouse is so much more relaxing than other places I have been. They go out of their way to make you feel like you are being pampered. You do not simply wait in a waiting room for your name to be called. You are put in a clean and comfortable robe, offered tea, coffee, capuccino, cookies, etc. while you relax and prepare for your service. The massages are wonderful and you can never hear other people talking or walking around outside. The pedicures are wonderful also. The Woodhouse does a great job of making you feel pampered and the best part is, it is comparable in price to all those other places :) I was recommended to this place by a good friend, and now I always recommend the Woodhouse to my friends and family.
Pros: Service Quality, Experience of Relaxation, Friendly Staff
Cons: I wish there were more places like this!
From the moment I walked in the door at the Woodhouse Spa I was impressed and feeling right at home. I felt as if I was a guest in a friends home and was so comfortable in the homey atmosphere. It was clean, peaceful, and relaxing to say the least. The customer service was outstanding, the robes and slippers were so cozy, the relaxation room was a perfect setting with the hot tea and snacks, and of coarse oh yea the massage was one of the best I have ever had! It was everything that I was hoping for and more. I was so impressed with my overall expereince that I will definelty come back when I need a relaxing massage or just time to feel like I went on a mini vacation right in my own backyard!! This spa is unlike others in that from the moment you walk in you feel like you are at a resort spa. I was so relaxed when I was finished I left the spa and driving home realized I forgot to pay my bill!! I called immedietly and told them how sorry I was and my only explaination was that I was sooo relaxed I wasn't even thinking about the bill nor did I care what it was it was because I knew that it was worth every penny. This spa is a must! Give it a try and you will feel pampered and right at home.
Pros: Atmosphere, Customer Service, Overall Experience
My husband and I enjoyed a romantic and relaxing couple's stone massage together at The Woodhouse Day Spa. As our first experience with Spa's in Cincinnati, The Woodhouse Day Spa has definitely set the bar high. We enjoy rewarding ourselves anytime we can, whether on vacation, as a reward or gift, or simply just because and The Woodhouse Day Spa made our first experience in Cincinnati absolutely wonderful. We were treated like guests and given all the comforts of a massage at home and more. The robes and slippers were oh so comfy and the ambiance of the spa was phenomenal from the aromas to the soft music and dimmed lights. The staff were great and very accomodating to all of our needs. After spending a relaxing day together, my husband and I were even more touched to receive personal thank you notes from the staff at The Woodhouse Day Spa. From the minute you walk into their doors up until days after your treatment, you will feel pampered, relaxed and rejuvenated by visiting Cincinnati's Woodhouse Day Spa!
Pros: Ambiance, Amenities, Full Services, Staff
Cons: Book early, as they are very popular!
I could go on and on about the AWESOME massage I received at the spa, but it was the extra mile that my hosts went to that really made it an incredible experience. Someone passing my car in the parking garage had noticed that my lights were flashing, so after I was already changed into my robe I had to re-dress, go to the garage and check it out. It was nothing, but by the time I got back inside I was a little flustered and 15 minutes late in starting my supposed relaxation! Not only was Monica wonderful about me holding up her schedule, she told me to take a few extra minutes to relax before we started so that I would enjoy it, because it was all about me (being the mother of two young children, it's never about me so that was really nice!) I still had my hour long massage, even though I went over (luckily there was no one booked behind me), and Monica made it a wonderful experience, I think I would even say the best massage I've ever had. As if that weren't enough, the gentleman out at the desk told me when I checked out later that he had gone down to the garage himself after I went in for my massage to make sure my car wasn't acting up again! I was so pleased....it made for a really nice end to what had been a stressful day (because of my car and other stuff). It is so rare to find good customer service these days, and I really felt like Woodhouse went above and beyond what they had to do. I will definitely be back!!
The Woodhouse Day Spa is a great place to go if you're looking to treat yourself to a relaxing afternoon to rejuvinate yourself. As soon as you walk your experience starts with the wonderful aroma that fills your nose and starts to make you feel better already. The building is kept in immaculate condition. It has a very soothing look and feel to it. You have sandals and a robe that fits your body and foot size like they were made specifically for you. I've only been in for the sports massage package, but it has helped me tremendously through a 6 month 300 game softball season each of the past 2 years. The massages help fix the abused muscles and let me continue to function normally. The employees are always very curteous and nice. They treat you like the King or Queen you came there to be treated like. The employees offer up suggestions like exercises that would help you with your sore muscles and keep your body in working condition. The oils and rejuvination lotion they have used on me continue to work for hours after I leave the Spa. The only thing I feel is a negative is that the pricing is a little expensive compared to other comparable Day Spas. Overall it is a wonderful place and that is why I haven't put any effort into finding another place to go and have my body worked on and rejuvinated to get me back on track. Everyone looking for a massage or other form of therapy should try this place out just once and as you leave you can sign up for your next session.
Pros: Ambience, Customer Service, Skill, Building Condition
AHHHH!!!! What an experience, Once you step foot inside the front door of Woodhouse Spa. You find yourself relaxing with each breathe you take, The decore is beautiful no expense spared to assure a Spa that a profesional as well as a work of art. The staff see's to your needs quietly so as not to break the mood of relaxation . I've been to spa's all over the country, trust me when I say this not only compares with some of the finest 5 star resort it out shine some of them to. The fees for their services are very reasonable . I treat myself as well as my daughters whenever we get a chance (It's their spa of choice for birthdays etc) . Ok I will admit that I sneak sometimes when they are at work/school.Sh don't tell them A mom has to have sometime to herself. Woodhouse Thanks for offering such a beautiful spa to Cincinnati.
Pros: thumb's up!!!!!!!!!!!
As a first time customer at Woodhouse Day Spa, I was more than impressed with the services they provided. On my first visit, I received an hour-long facial and pedicure. From the moment I walked into the spa, I knew I was going to satisfied with my experience. My facial was one of the most relaxing experiences I've ever had. I was able to completely let go of all of my anxiety and allow the calming atmosphere to relax me. The facial made my skin feel immensely clean and refreshed. I was then escorted to a room with very friendly women who made me feel completely comfortable while receiving my pedicure. The women were enthusiastic and wanted nothing more but to make sure I was satisfied with their services. I left Woodhouse Day Spa that day realizing that I deserved and now needed to receive such services on a regular basis. I try to come into the spa as much as possible, because in all honesty, nothing relaxes me more.
Pros: friendly staff, clean enviornment, experienced and professional services
From the minute I walked into the Woodhouse salon, I was relaxed. The salon was beautiful and the staff was so friendly. The relaxation room was peaceful and I was immediately offered water and a magazine. Quickly, but not too soon, I was lead to the private pedicure room. Fantastic!!!! The chair was easy to get into, the room was perfectly lit for a relaxing afternoon and everything was so clean. For 60 minutes, I was able to relax in a beautiful, quiet, and private room while I had a pedicure. I will never need to go anywhere else in Cincinnati for salon needs. My toes looked great, my feet felt good and I was so relaxed!!!!! Next time you need to go to the salon, go to Woodhouse!
Pros: ambience, parking, staff friendliness, cleanliness, service
My girlfriends and I love to frequent spas. We have been to spas all over the country and the world; Hilton Head, Tucson, Paris, the Bahamas, etc. and have never been able to find the combination of atmosphere and skilled technicians in CIncinnati. We have now been to the Woodhouse Spa twice as a group and have had manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages. All were awesome. In addition, we were given a private room to have lunch and drinks in between services. The comfy couches and relaxing fragrances and lighting made us feel as though we were far from home. It was as if we were on vacation...no plane fare required! This is truly a relaxing place; great for rejuvenation and for doing some serious bonding with your friends. I have been to many spas in Cincinnati and this one is definitely the best.
Pros: Atmosphere and capability of the staff
Cons: Private pedicure rooms, unless specified that you want to be with someone.
I received a gift card for my Birthday, when I went to the spa everyone was so nice. I had a Minkyti Facial - it was GREAT! I also found out that the spa does body wraps. I started with my legs and before I knew it - I was in love with the way my body felt and look. I LOVE IT. I go every month to get the facial and body wrap.
The facials are so amazing, so much better than any facial I had ever had. Now that I go to The Woodhouse I have great skin. If you have acne or a skin condition this is the place to go. I didn't think I could ever get my pores so small. JUST TRY THIS SPA!!!!!!
Pros: Ambience, Esthetician Knowledge
I was very happy with my experience at the Woodhouse Day Spa. I had to organize a girls' weekend get together for all my Chicago friends who were coming in town. I wanted to find a spa that would impress these big city girls and that would be able to accomodate all of us at once. Woodhouse was perfect-the staff was very willing to work with me and to make sure all of my girls were able to enjoy our epxerience together at the same time. They even offered to bring in extra staff to pamper all of us, if necessary. Everyone was thrilled with their experience and Woodhouse even wrote me a personalized thank you letter the following week. On top of that, it was probably the best message I've ever had-in Cincinnati or otherwise. I would definitely recommend this experience and will be back again. Kathy Kirlin
Being a guy, I was nervous about going into a spa but the staff made me feel at ease. I had a massage and a manicure scheduled. I was nervous about getting a manicure, since I had never had one before. The nail tech quickly reassured me that many men get nail services. I'm not quite sure that that alone was enough to relax me but hey what the heck I was there and my girlfriend said I needed some serious help with my nails. I have to say, that I would definetly do it again, it was just as relaxing as my massage. The staff was very down to earth and friendly. I'll be back!
Pros: seperate nail rooms
Cons: parking lot was full
I've been to many spas as I travel frequently for work. This place felt like I was on vacation. The atmosphere was outstanding. I was there for my birthday with a friend of mine. We had massages and when we were done they had these beautiful chocolate deserts with flowers waiting for us in their 'living room' where we sat before and after our services. I'm not sure if they do this for everyone or if it was just for my birthday...but whatever! Then we had pedicures in our own private nail rooms (it was nice not hearing a bunch of people talking while I was trying to relax). I will definately be back. Much better than anything else I've seen in Cincinnati. My only complaint was that the parking garage was hard to find (it's kind of hidden behind the building). Overall a great experience.
Pros: Ambience, Service, Private Nail Rooms,
Cons: Parking garage hard to find
This spa is unlike any other that I have been to locally! From the second you walk in the door, you notice all of the small details that have been put into place to make this the most relaxing environment. The facial and massage that I received were fabulous, and I was even able to sit in their "quiet room" and relax until I was ready to change and go back out into the world! I won't go anywhere else now!
Pros: Wonderful ambience, skilled and friendly service, excellent retail products
