Asian Flavor
A divine, heavenly dining experience. The food melts in your mouth. Oudi is an amazing chef who has master the art of preparing food from the Asian continent. The ambiance is fabulous. Flavor is the place to enjoy an eclectic dining experience under the warm cozy lighting.

BEST FOOD IN DALLAS
I've been to Flavor since it's just open in the beginning of last year. I went there and celebrate my valentine's night in 2007. The food was great!--- even though it's just opened up, and not too crowded. This year, I went there again because my husband and I always love the "Special Menu" for the "Special Event" that Chef Oudi has created. It's very good valued for only $75 per COUPLE, yes I mean a couple, for these gourmet meals--- it's worth it! The foie gras's so creamy and melt in the mouth. I had chosen poached Maine lobster with Malaccan crab cake for my entree and my husband had grilled rib-eye steak with Malaccan crab cake. Both of them were so delicious! and cook to perfection! Dessert was the almond white chocolate truffle---sooo....... yummy! The decor for valentine's was so romantic too.
Everything I had there at Flavor was so wonderful. I am totally agree with D Magazine that Flavor is The Best Neighborhood Restaurant in Lake Highlands (Feb. '08 issue). I told all of my friends and everybody I know about this restaurant and all of them LOVE IT! The servers are very nice and friendly, make me feel so special when I went there. They remember my usual order and even my name! Great food, great service------glad that you're here in Lake Highlands
Pros: Awesome Food, Very Friedly Service, Nice Ambience, Bright Parking Lot
Cons: N/A

Great food in an unlikely place
The first time we went to Flavor, my wife and I almost didn't go in. It's located in a strip shopping center that has seen better days. We decided to give it a try, and we were pleasantly surprised with what we found.
The first time we both had Thai food and a couple of pieces of the Sunday $1 sushi. The pad thai was really flavorful and we were so impressed with the sushi we went back a week later to make a meal of it. We tried two different desserts and they were both very tasty.
My only complaint about Flavor is that both times we went, the service was really, really slow. Neither time was particularly busy, but we still didn't see much of our waiter/waitress. They would take our drink orders and bring back the drinks, then leave without taking our food order, and we didn't see them again for several minutes. I know sushi takes some time, but a lot of time was wasted just sitting without our order being turned in. Next time we'll be more assertive.
Overall, this is a much more upscale restaurant than you'd expect in a somewhat run-down shopping center. A really neat atmosphere and great food with very reasonable prices.
Pros: Great food, good variety of choices, reasonable prices
Cons: Slow service

Lake Highlands Find!
What a great find! We started with a spicy tuna roll which was excellent. Next was the sample plate which included some exceptional dumplings. We had a few more sushi items and finished by sharing a banana crepe.
There was a couple at a nearby table that was praising their Thai dishes.
Flavor is currently BYOB but it looks like they are working on a liquor license.
Please frequent this jewel in Lake Highlands.

Our new favorite place for dinner.
This place just keeps getting better and better.
They mix Thai, Japanese, and Indian flavors into all the dishes in very surprising and delicious ways. The Tuna Tartar and Salmon Ceviche appetizers are amazing. The Tuna Tower is standard, but fresh. The Tuktas Roll is one of our favorites. It's made with cucumber instead of rice and is very refreshing. They have a small sushi menu, but what we have tried has been very fresh. For main entrees, the Indian Paella is outstanding. The Duck Leg Roulade is unusual, but worth a try. My only complaint was that the sweet potato puree around it was way too sweet for me.
The desserts are outstanding as well. If they have the roasted banana foster dessert, order it - you won't regret it.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. Try to go during the week if you can - word has gotten around and they are packed on weekends. Prices are very reasonable and it is BYOB!
Pros: Amazing food, BYOB.
Cons: Can get VERY loud when busy.

FABULOUS Food and presentation - best Thai in Dallas
We have been trying Thai restaurants in Dallas for 20 years and have seen all the good ones slowly lose their quality. We have been looking for years for another good one to come along - and it's FINALLY here! It's a long drive from Lakewood and you have to know it's there (Skillman just north of LBJ on right), but it is sooooo worth it! My husband is extremely particular about the quality of restaurant food and therefore, hard to please. The shrimp tempura was delightful, the dipping sauce delicious and unique, and beautifully presented on the plate. The soups are made to order and the wonton is our favorite (though they're all good!), with shrimp and pork dumplings, baby bok choy, chives and cilantro. He ordered a filet mignon, which was as good as any fine steak house, cooked to perfection, served on a balsalmic vinegar reduction (sounds weird, but it was incredible), and served with perfectly grilled vegetables. I had the leg of duck in orange sauce and every mouthful was divine - a very unique preparation, as the chef had deboned it halfway and stuffed the leg with a mouth watering combination of ingredients and chopped walnuts. Our next visit was with my "foody" brother, and we decided to go the more traditional Thai route this visit. His garlic pork was the best thing at the table, but the yellow curry was the best Thai version I've ever had and the Pad Thai was perfect! We will definitely be regular customers and tell everyone we know. The wall is covered with all the awards the chef has won around the country, and the food showed it, for sure. We can't wait to try everything on the menu! Please don't let this jewel get away!
Pros: THE FOOD!!! Presentation was also very impressive - Five Stars to the chef!
Cons: Location - only word of mouth will help this restaurant out - GET THE WORD OUT!
