TERRIBLE SERVICE

to replace my wiper blades.
They told me that there was no problems with the headlights. Howevers, they replaced the wiper blades within 2 minutes. Fine. I went inside to pay. Chris told me the total was $15.01. I signed the receipt and left the shop. I did not realized that he had charged me $51.05 on my credit card until I got home that afternoon. I contacted my VW dealership service dept and asked to speak to a service advisor. The dealership's service advisor told me that the cost to change the wiper blades is $12.00 (parts) & he would change it for me with no labor charge. I contacted European auto mechanic shop, spoke with Chris, explained to him that I feel this is a mistake and I don't want to pay for $51.05 (two Bosch Micro Edge at $23.95 each + tax) to replace my wiper blades when it should only cost $12. Chris gave me some story that the wiper blades that I got is a Bosch which are high quality blades and it like buying a blouse from Bealls vs Bloomingdales. I told him I don't need high quality wiper blade just ones that would does the job. I told Chris that I would take my car back in to get them taken off and get a refund. He told me that they won't take them off because I sign & paid for them. I explained to him that I understood the price to be $15 which is reasonable. I told him that it's only been 5 hours since I was at their shop and I don't want overcharged wiper blades on my vehicle - it is unnecessary. There is a big difference between $15 vs $51. He refused to take them back & is uncooperative. Furthermore, I think that this is price gouging because I am a woman. I informed him that I would be contacting the BBB on this issue and dispute with my credit card. He said to go ahead and that I should just accept it.

Uff. I had the car broken a couple of months ago. I forgot to change something with th oil.. David repaired it and the cost was fair. I was afraid of paying much more, but the final price was really a good surprise!

David's garage is by far the best experience I have ever had at any auto repair center. I got a quote for repairs that were so outrageous, that I purchased my own replacement part. I found David's Automotive Repair Service and they did charge me a dime more for supplying my own part. After the job was done, I actually saved 50% based off the initial quote from the "other guys."
I dropped my car off at night and Chris (the manager) met me after hours, and put my car in the garage so it wouldn't be sitting out all night. I told them what needed done and they did it. They fixed what was broken, and gave me a call. I picked it up and there was no surprise cost. It was actually penny for penny the exact amount they said it would be.
They are nice, honest, and incredible work. If we lived in a perfect world, this would be how all garages would operate. But since we don't, I'll keep going to David's Automotive Repair Service.

Transmission Repair

Did you know that David's automotive repair in Dallas has Automotive Transmission repair? I needed some service done on my transmission and did not know they did transmission repair. I called anyway just to see if he could reccommened a transmission repair shop since David's had so many good reviews and he said come on in. As you know Transmissions are not cheap and I am not rich so his on-site owner financingin was a godsend. If you need transmission repair or service, call david first. Heck, if you need anything, call david's first. They are honest and realiable.

I was there last week for some automotive reapirs and found out tat david's automotive repair shop now offers financing! What a reat way to show they really do care. david's wife told me that too many people are having a tough time making ends meet and still need quality auto repair services so they are now offering most makes and model autos for financing on the repair. Call today to see if you qualify. You probably will, if I qualify, you possibly do too ;)

YOU GOTTA CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. MY TRUCK BROKE DOWN AND AS MANY OTHER SINGLE DADS(PARENTS) SORRY LADIES, WOULD DO I REACHED FOR THE YELLOW PAGES IN ATTEMPT TO OBTAIN THE CHEAPEST ESTAMATE POSSIBLE. I WAS MET W/ MUCH OPPOSITION AS FAR AS SCHEDUALING, FINANCING, AND AN OVERALL APATHETIC ATTITUDE FROM MOST OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS I SOUGHT HELP FROM. HOWEVER ALL THIS CHANGED WHEN I STEPPED INTO DAVID'S AUTOMOTIVE. I WAS GREETED BY A COURTIOUS , KNOWEGABLE STAFF THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THE LITTLE GUY. I SHOPPED AROUND THE REMAINDER OF THAT AFTERNOON BUT MY DESISION HAD ALREADY BEEN MADE . BEING MECHANICLY INCLINED MY SELF I WAS SURE THAT I WAS NOT ONLY SHOPPING FOR THE GREATEST DEAL BUT ALSO QUALITY WORK. EVER HEARD OF HAVING YOUR CAKE AND EATTING IT TO? WELL NOW YOU HAVE. I'M RAISING 2 KIDS ON MY OWN AND I ALREADY KNOW THAT YOU CAN RELATE TO THE FACT THAT 1. THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH TIME IN THE DAY TO DO EVERYTHING THAT MUST BE DONE. AND 2. THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH $$$.
THIS WAS NOT AN ISSUE WITH DAVID. I TOWED MY TRUCK TO THE SHOP ON 35 JUST OFF THE COMMONWEALTH EXIT AND THEY TOOK CARE OF THE REST AND I DO MEAN EVERYTHING. THEY DROPPED ME OFF @ WORK & CALLED ME EVERY TIME A NEW OR ADDITIONAL ISSUE AROSE. THEY TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLANE IN DETAIL AND MADE SURE BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT THAT I WAS AWARE OF ANY FURTHER WORK THAT WAS NECESSARY AND THEN EXPLANED WHY IT WAS NECESSARY . ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS THEY ALSO OFFERED FINANCING ON WORK COMPLETED THE SAME DAY. I WOULD HAVE BEEN STUCK OUT. ALL OF THE WORK WAS COMPLETED BEFORE THE END OF THAT BUSINESS DAY. I DEPEND HEAVLY ON MY TRUCK AND USE IT EVERY DAY TO EARN A LIVING . MY LEGS WERE BASICLY CUT FROM UNDER ME. DAVID AND HIS STAFF TREATED ME WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT. HE RECONISED THE PROBLEMS I WAS HAVING AND OFFERED A SIMPLE ECONOMICAL SOLUTION TO THEM.

I broke down while in town visiting friends and I also went to David's because of the reviews and no I am not a family member as the other guy has suggested the reviews are from. I also had problems with my brakes. They explained it to me where I understood it (I'm a 23 yr old girl), treated me like I knew what they was talking about and when I had a question they answered it. I also had them talk to my Dad to explain the problems to him, which they was happy to do. I only waited 30 minutes to get the estimate and they said they would take me back to my friends house if they needed to but they was on there way to pick me up. They did a front and rear brake job on my car and turned my rotors. It was done a llittle later than I was told but with my Dad being a machanic I understand when parts don't get there as planned(no control over that). I did have to bring it back after I picked it up but it was taken care of right then and they stopped working on the other car to check out what I was talking about and rode with me. I quess it helps having a Father that is a machanic so I do understand the ins and outs of cars and the automotive field, I'm not some dumb girl as most service places like to assume. So to the other guy I say take your car back if your not satisfied, they have the 3 year/36000 mile warrenty so it will be covered.

Well, I brought my 4Runner there because I read good reviews about this place. I told them that as I braked, the vehicle would shimmy to the left and mostly to the right (but the alignment was fine). We discussed that it could be a brake grabbing on one side or it could be worn suspension components. A while later I get a call that I need several hundred dollars worth of brake parts (and one suspension part) replaced to fix the problem. I authorize it and return to the shop. After they test drove it, the mechanic told me the problem still existed. I told them maybe it was the suspension. No, he said, I need new brake calipers. One is sticking, but they recommend two new ones. I was mad. He said I needed the other things anyway. I pointed out I didn't want to fix things that had nothing to do with the problem. They install new calipers. The total was $600. He took it for a test drive, but did not tell me the original problem wasn't solved, but did say that perhaps it was because I had too much air in the tires (!). I drive off with fingers crossed. Well, the vehicle has the same problem. It was never fixed. Am I supposed to go back there and keep giving them money (that I no longer have) so they can keep experimenting, till they finally get it right?? I don't think so. Consider: They service thousands of people, do you want to trust a handful of reviews? Who wrote them, family members? I'm sure after posting this, they will rebut by saying, why didn't I just return it... like I said, they'll just keep asking for more money and keep rebuilding the truck til they get it right. That's no way to do it. Bill

I was driving down the freeway and my car started to make noise, I saw Daves sign and pulled off the road and drove to his shop. I told them to ?just fix whatever was wrong with it? . He gave me a ride down the street to my meeting I was on my way to and when he picked me up, I had a ZERO balance on my bill! Apparently when the air gets low on my mx5 car tires, they make a really scary noise. These are high performance tires, so it?s hard to tell even when they have air, so I was clueless. Dave told me he simply put air in my tire and to come back anytime for repairs on my car ( funny guy) . Amazing customer service, courteous, funny and honest. I will be back when I have a real or non-real repair. They are not only on my mechanic list but my Christmas card list as well. Thank you David?s Auto! Happy Holidays! YOU ROCK!

Best place I have ever had my car worked on!

They looked at my car, wrote a estimate, and explaned in detail ever step of the repair and answered all of my questions. David told me himself that he would stand behind the work that he did and if I ever had a problem, to call and he would take care of it. I can't belive I did'nt find this place sooner, "boy would I have saved a lot of money".

I went to this place based on the favorable reviews that I read on this website. I had become tired of overpaying for work at the dealerships and was hoping for good service at a reasonable price. First of all, I was quoted less at the dealership for the work to my A/C ($60 to be specific). I was having some work done to my engine also, so I specifically told David not to do the A/C work. When I came back to get my car, he did the work and charged me for it! I was frustrated enough that he promised me that it would be done by 2:00, and it ended up being 4:30 by the time I got it. I'm not convinced at all that I saved any money by taking my car here. In fact, I'm 100% sure that it was a much bigger hassle. Stay away!

Friendly staff, open and honest service environment

Had my 03 Honda Accord serviced at David's for brake problems. They inspected all 4 of my rotors/pads for free within 20 minutes of my arrival there. My aftermarket brake discs were warped in the front so he resurfaced those rotors for me and told me my pads had plenty of life left (the dealerships would not perform this service on my aftermarket brakes). They also installed a set of rear brake discs & pads for me, all together for 1/4th the price the dealership wanted to charge me.
David the owner is very easy to work with and took part in the inspection and the work done. He seems very straightforward and honest about the required work. I approved the quote and they began work on my car immediately while i watched them. I was ready to go in less than 1.5 hours.

I am a petite girly girl female and of course I always am a target for those automotive shops that try to rip you off!! I may be little but my brother is a mechanic so I always call him and ask him what I need to get done before I get anything done after an estimate is given to me. Too bad he lives across the country, otherwise he would be my personal mechanic! But I went to firestone off of lovers lane and they tried ripping me off giving me an $800 estimate on all these things that I supposedly had wrong w/ my car and a 4 hour wait. I then was outraged b/c i went to John Eagle Honda the day before and they told me all I needed was $200 rear brakes. So everyone knows that the car dealer is always expensive compared to outside shops, but I went to citysearch and found David's Automotive. He gave me a quote for $129 for brakes & had me done in an hour. The whole time I was waiting, there was no A/C but they did offer to drive me home, but I figured it was only an hour so I mine as well wait! It's such a mom & pop place and the owner is a good man. He just wants to fix your car and make a descent living. Give them a chance. I totally will not go to any other mechanic shop in dallas except this one now!!

David is one of the most honest mechanics I have met. He treats you with respect if you are a woman and doesn?t tell you to do things to your car that aren?t necessary. You should really give him a try. He is one of the few honest guys left.
