Morris Salerno is a piece of work and his staff is the worst! My wife, who has cancer decided on the Grotto for maybe our final anniversary together,(31st of Dec). After many mess ups for over a month in reservations, menu and price, Kathy Salerno told me that if we had a problem contact her. When we got there, we were told that it may be an hour before we got seated even though it was our anniversary and she has cancer...she was very uncomfortable and needed to sit. When I asked for Kathy, her puke husband Morris appeared and basically said it is what it is and just accept it, I said this will be my last time at the Grotto and he said we couldn't eat there, get out in two minutes or he would call the police. I have eaten on 6 continents, 50 countries and 50 states and have never encountered the arrogance, the abuse and the negative attitude that I did from Morris Salerno. He and his restaurant The Grotto of Highland Village, are the worst!

A wonderful experiance - An event !!!

Pros: stick to the steaks and chops . Duck and Fish --- not so mu

Cons: nice place - on the pricey side - worth the few extra bucks-

My wife have dined three times at the Grotto and the food has been exceptional in quality and quantity; however, our last trip was our last. We requested a non-smoking area and after eating our salad, we were asked to move to another table/area because other guests wanted to be seated and smoke in our area. This is a great place for smokers and consumers of alcoholic drinks, but not for us.

If you like a smoky bar, the Grotto excels. \r

Tonight with reservations for the Valentine's Day dinner at 8PM, it took almost an extra hour to be seated. Part of the problem was inept staff. While waiting in the bar, it was apparent

Great elegant dining with wonderful food. Upscale dining with wonderful, friendly service. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion for that special one.

The atmosphere was fabulous and the food, including service, was perfect. We had our first date there and plan to have many more to come.

Pros: quaint, wonderful food, good service

Cons: a little pricey, seating can be cramped!

The food was wonderful (comprable to Morton's or Bob's) and the price was reasonable (at least 30% below similar quality food offerings).

Pros: Food quality, Service, Price

Cons: , Strip mall setting

Over priced for the quality of the meal. The food is good but only average. Reservations are required but there is no dress code which is contradictory, not only to the outrageous prices, but to the environment. I have eaten at fine
