Satisfied with the prices.... 5 Star Rating - World class

After I was researching and shopping around for a Rental House Package for a while I was refered to Aus-Tex Appliance by a friend. They showed me many options that were available for me to do. Either to go with scratch and Dent Dishwasher-Range-Microwave I was looking for or they could find me new in the box deals, and even find me ones that I could go home and research model numbers that they would be able to get me a better price on than a Lowes or a HomeDepot. I ended up going with a new in the box package deal with the Dishwasher-range- and microwave for just 999.00, and ordering a new in the box top mount fridge for 399.00..all in all i was very impressed and happy that I was able to find a local appliance dealer like this....

Pros: Local-nice people-low prices

Horrible Customer Service 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

So I call them to ask about the cost of a used washer. "We don't sell used washers." says the lady who answers the phone. I ask how much new ones cost. She says that she'll get the owner for me. He gets on the phone and quotes me a price of $249 for a new washer, and says that he can sell me a used one for less. When I tell him of my earlier conversation, his response is "She doesn't know what she's talking about." Why, I wonder, is she answering the phone? My next mistake was going to their shop. The owner tells me to come on a Wednesday, as they will be getting a new shipment I ask to see the new $249 washers. I'm told that the cheapest that they have is $299. When I say that i was quoted $249 by the owner, the guy helping me says " I don't know anything about that." So I look at different models, write down model numbers, and come back home to do more research. When I find the one I want, I call Aus-Tex again. . The guy who answers the phone says tat they have the exact model that I want in stock for $449. So I go back to the shop. Third mistake. I mention the model number and the latest phone call and, at first, he starts to look around, then he wanders off. Someone else walks up, and when I way I'm being helped, the new guy says "He doesn't know what he's doing." So I mention the model number again, and shows me one that's wrong and says "This is it." When I tell him that the model number doesn't match, he says he can order me a new one, but it will cost more. When I tell him that I was quoted a specific price for a specific model and that said model was in stock, he says "We have a lot of old guys who answer the phone who don't know what they're taking about." Then his cellphone rings, and he starts talking to the person on the other end, as if I'm not even there. No "Excuse me" or "I have to take this" or anything. Terrible, terrible terrible customer service.

Pros: Cheap stuff.
Cons: Bad, bad service

WORST customer service and WORST response time ZERO STARS 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Purchased something and was not given what I asked for. I complained and was not compensated. Full of excuses all the time and still cannot deliver a product properly and could not even remember me when I approached him again later...as if I had never even complained!

Pros: nothing
Cons: bad service bad service bad service

To the guy upset about the diagnosis and $40 charge 5 Star Rating - World class

Why would you call an appliance company to come fix your electrical outlet? Electricians fix outlets, and appliance companies fix appliances. It does not say anywhere on our advertisements that we are certified electricians.

Pros: Best Prices in Texas. 2 Locations
Cons: None

Great Experience 4 Star Rating - Very good

I bought a GE Profile range from Aus-Tex and had a great experience! I researched tthe model I wanted and called the owner of the south store (Bob) with the GE model number I was looking for . He called back within a half hour to let me know they had the model number I wanted at the north store and placed it on hold for the day until I could get there to take a look. I checked it out and found no cosmetic issues with it. I bought it for $500 less than Home Depot's price. Aus-Tex held the range for me for two weeks while I had my floors put in and delivered and installed with one day notice and no issues at all.

I had a great experience and would recommend Aus-Tex Appliance to my friends. I plan to use them again for my refrigerator and dishwasher.

Pros: Price, convenience
Cons: Don't take AmEx
