So I call them to ask about the cost of a used washer. "We don't sell used washers." says the lady who answers the phone. I ask how much new ones cost. She says that she'll get the owner for me. He gets on the phone and quotes me a price of $249 for a new washer, and says that he can sell me a used one for less. When I tell him of my earlier conversation, his response is "She doesn't know what she's talking about." Why, I wonder, is she answering the phone? My next mistake was going to their shop. The owner tells me to come on a Wednesday, as they will be getting a new shipment I ask to see the new $249 washers. I'm told that the cheapest that they have is $299. When I say that i was quoted $249 by the owner, the guy helping me says " I don't know anything about that." So I look at different models, write down model numbers, and come back home to do more research. When I find the one I want, I call Aus-Tex again. . The guy who answers the phone says tat they have the exact model that I want in stock for $449. So I go back to the shop. Third mistake. I mention the model number and the latest phone call and, at first, he starts to look around, then he wanders off. Someone else walks up, and when I way I'm being helped, the new guy says "He doesn't know what he's doing." So I mention the model number again, and shows me one that's wrong and says "This is it." When I tell him that the model number doesn't match, he says he can order me a new one, but it will cost more. When I tell him that I was quoted a specific price for a specific model and that said model was in stock, he says "We have a lot of old guys who answer the phone who don't know what they're taking about." Then his cellphone rings, and he starts talking to the person on the other end, as if I'm not even there. No "Excuse me" or "I have to take this" or anything. Terrible, terrible terrible customer service.
Pros: Cheap stuff.
Cons: Bad, bad service
