I don't really know what this office is called anymore. When I started going it was Dr. Staffon, then I saw it became Genesis Dental and now I see it's Robert T. Cadalso, Jr.
Whatever this office is called now, I question the practices they use to bill insurance and most of all how they reflect insurance payments on a patients account. My family hasn't been to this dentist since Sept 2006, yet I receive a bill in mid- June 2007 with a balance forward. Keep in mind, it's the first bill I've ever received. The balance forward shows no history behind how they arrive at the figure. Keep in mind, I was constantly in contact with this office after our services to get them to take care of doing what they agreed, billing the insurance.
So, after a hassle to get a breakdown of our bill and being told our balance was at $0 despite what the bill stated, I see they NEVER took any adjustment amounts or write-offs for amounts they are not allowed to collect because they are a provider with our insurance. When I call to question this, i get the person who said our balance was zero and she says she'll call me back in 10-mins which was over 3 hours ago. Staff is incompetent and then unwilling to fix or see their mistakes.
Sorry Dentists, but your staff can leave a lasting impression on your clients that will keep them from coming back.
