Over the years I have had several pieces of well-loved furniture re-upholstered. I have come to expect jaw-dropping prices, long waits, and less then perfect results. I am so glad to have found Buffalo Gals. The rates are a bargain, the service is prompt, and the results are absolutely beautiful.

I have an old rocking chair that originally belonged to my husband's grandfather. It was grandfather's favorite chair and it has been passed from father to son. Unfortunately, our beloved rocking chair looked like it was ready for the dumpster.

I will soon move to another state. The movers are due to arrive next week. I knew there was little chance of having the chair reupholstered in time for the trip. Nevertheless, I called Sherri at Buffalo Gals and explained the need for speed. Her response was, "How soon can you bring it in?" I arrived with my chair an hour later.

Although her shop is chock full of fabric samples, we didn't have time to wait for ordered fabric to arrive. Sherri directed me to a first rate fabric store, Cowgirls & Lace, less than a mile away from her shop. Sherri told me that I would receive a 15% discount if I mentioned that she was doing the work - and I did!

Four days later, on a Saturday, Sherri called to tell me the chair was ready. I went immediately to pick it up and simply couldn't believe the transformation. It's absolutely gorgeous!

The fabric on the seat pan of the chair (beneath the cushion) was still in good shape, but it was an awful shade of blue, and completely different from the new fabric I had selected. I figured it wouldn't show so I told Sherri to skip it. Instead, Sherri found a solid fabric in her inventory that exactly matched the background color and texture of my new fabric. I'm so glad she did because it looks just right. I was not charged for the additional material or effort.

Additionally, Sherri replaced the flattened, deteriorated old cushions and the chair is more comfortable than ever.

Sherri was very clear that she does not refinish wooden furniture. I told her that I didn't want the rocker refinished anyway because the scratches, dents, and scrapes were, to me, the charm. True, the wooden arms were quite rough and the wood was very dry, but I certainly didn't want to sand, stain and polish away the many good years and memories. Sherri understood this, but also recognized that without some basic care, the wood would deteriorate to splinters. So, she took care of this also.

The age and imperfections are all there for me to enjoy, but the wood is glowing - warm, rich, and elegant. Absolutely beautiful! And again, no additional charge. She cleaned and oiled the wood and the results are just lovely

Finally, Sherri gave me detailed instructions on how to care for the wood and fabric so the rocker will still be lovely when it is time for my son to make it his own.

I am so impressed with the craftsmanship, the courtesy, and the the extra service care I received, that I have written this review - something I've never done before. Thank you, Buffalo Gals, for making my sentimental old rocker more beautiful than I thought possible.

I encourage anyone with an upholstery/slipcover project contact Sherri at Buffalo Gals for top quality work, friendly service, and fair pricing. Thanks for reading my review.
