I love the facilities at Manhattan Beach Preschool. There is lots of outside space for the kids to play in and the classrooms are large and nicely decorated. There is always fun activities going on, such as snow day, country western day, family fun night. There is also a nice balance between the academic curriculum and developmental activities.

I have really enjoyed my experience at MB Preschool and look forward to sending my son there. I have had two different teachers who were kind and loving to my daughter. She has made friends and is doing well academically. Kim, the director, has been great with helping us out with schedules. I would not hesitate to recommend this school to others.

This is one of the few schools in the Manhattan Beach area that actually prepares the kids to move onto Kindergarten. My son knows his alphabet, the sounds, can count to 30, has made friends, and much more. The teachers have been great in my 3 years there.

This school does not teach any academic preparation. Anyone who claims it does teach academics is mistaken. If you want to give your kids the advantage of a teaching preschool, look somewhere else. The quality of the teachers varied from loving to uninvolved (sitting at her desk surfing the internet all day) Shannon J. I respectfully disagree with you, in fact my experience was the exact opposite. If you are planning on putting your kids here, go in and ask the teachers exactly what kindergarten readiness skills they will be working on. This is a step up from having a nanny because of child social interaction, but in no way a teaching or school preparation facility.

I loved this school. My son went here last year and was so prepared when he entered Kindergarten this fall. All the teachers at his elementary school stated how well all the children do from this preschool.

This is one of the best preschools I have been to. My children love going there every day. The teachers are great as is the director. There is also a great balance between developmental skills and Kindergarten readiness skills.

One of my children went through this program several years ago and it was great. Then the program was completely restructured. I enrolled my second child to find that, in my opinion, the school's quality has dropped significantly. The teaching staff is very uneven, some are great with kids, others just are not. The school's leadership is unresponsive to the concerns of parents or the needs of individual children. I feel there are much better options in our area.

This is the worst preschool in the district. The teachers are submissive and show favoritism which are absolute no nos with preschoolers. It may be one of the more affordable preschools in the area but my recommendation would be to pay the extra money and give your child the attention that he/she deserves. He/she will definitely not get it here.

I used to be very happy with the teachers. My first child had great veteran teachers who were helpful both with potty-training and preparing for kindergarten. Came up with creative projects. Unfortunately, both those teachers have left. Also, I feel as if this place has become complacent due to its success in enrollment, and so it no longer feels as if it needs to try because there are so few options in the area. My second child had only so-so experience. Frequent absenteeism, poor communication, no sense of what the teachers are trying to accomplish with the kids. If you send your child here, you REALLY need to ask around for teacher recommendations. Also, although the director (Kim) is great, the office staff is not helpful (since Deborah Snook left) - "not my job" attitude when I ask for help/information, and sometimes downright rude.
