I think it's around $9.99 for dinner, which may seem a little high, but it's delicious and you will get your fill for sure. My favorites are the tika (sp) masala and the palak paneer. They've got steamed and saffron rice, usually fried spinach leaves and a few other appetizer type choices. Spicy potato dishes, other veggie and beef options, sometimes fried chicken or fried shrimp. They've also got salad, chutneys and for dessert they usually have this GREAT carrot pudding (just try it), or rice pudding, banana pudding or jello, and those little milk balls in syrup are my favorite. We were SOOO happy when they came into the neighborhood. Open over a year now. It's absolutely delicious.

This restaurant has moved into an unlikely old greasy spoon place and totally transformed it. The buffet is amazingly large with something for everyone. It is quiet and peaceful inside and I have not had to wait for a table - even on a Friday night!

The food is authentic and very well prepared. Service is better than excellent. Value is very good.

I highly recommend it!

I am so tired of the westernized Indian restaurants but Himalayas was a nice experience. It has some spicy subzis and a good variety for the buffet.Provides more options in the buffet for vegetarians like me.The ambiance of the place was good as well. The staff are friendly and helpful - and would be more than glad to make you something a la carte - Overall I would rate this place as a 4/5.

I admit when a colleague and I went to this restaurant we expected Tibetan food but once we say the menu we were pleasantly surprised by the breadth of Indian food offered. The restaurant looked clean and the tables were set with read cloth napkins - it was very inviting. The staff was pleasant and well dressed. We looked at the buffet but decided to order off the menu. We were impressed by the variety of Indian food offered. The items were clearly described and divided as northern or southern Indian cuisine. We each ordered different meals - she had a saffron, grilled chicken and dried fruit meal, and I had stewed chicken with cardamon, curry, and basil. They were both very good - but they did tend to play the seasoning on the safe side (I asked for it hotter, but my coworker was really specific about it not being spicy - so I was not surprised mine was not fire engine hot). The flavor of the food was really rich and well balanced, it was well presented, with jasmine rice with seasonings. We also ordered bread and papadam which was very good. Finally we had carrot pudding which was amazing. I have lived in Norman for a year and really missed a great Indian restaurant. I was so impressed I was surprised. The buffet also seemed like a good deal and looked fresh even until 9 pm at night. We will try that the next time.
