Excellent service! Not sure about the 1 star given in 2007 but I can tell you that it must be new management because I got the royal treatment! Awesome awesome service. And VERY honest!

Storefront is nice, but it ends there. Owner / contractor had promised quality workmanship and a crew that was covered with medical / dental benefits and explained that's why the prices are the way they are. He also said they needed to pull permits from the city (which was a load of cr*p and never happened) which increased the prices as well. The prices he was now quoting me were signifigantly higher than the salesman had at the store. I was willing to pay for the quality and agreed to have them complete the installation of the spa. I had one guy, who could just barely survive on a jobsite in regards to construction work (and that's being nice), supervising a crew of four day laborers show for work. They worked at a snails pace, turned up whenever, dug a 9' X 9' X 48" trench with shovels (a little prehistoric), never cleaned up after a day of digging and left the back yard in shambles. It only got worse when they attempted to lay paver blocks on top of lightweight concrete, allowing for no drainage beneath the blocks. The blocks were out of alignment and it would have turned out as anything but an even surface. I had spoken with them in regards to the quality of work and I was told they've done this many times over and had no complaints. I stopped it there. I ended up overpaying for the work (if you can call it that) that was completed up to that point and got Systems Paving Inc. to complete it. They ended up tearing up the lightweight concrete that was laid and starting over from scratch, redoing a lot of what Pacific Spas & Sauna had started.
They say they've been in business for 30 years, selling and installing spas and landscape work around the spas. If that's the case, I'd say they've had a good run of ripping off customers and provided sub-standard workmanship and labor.
The only bright side in all of this is Sundance Spas, the manufacturer. The spa itself is well constructed and are at the high end of quality.
The Spa Design Center and Pacific Spas and Sauna has been anything but a pleasurable experience. I wouldn't recommend them as you might have guessed.
