I have been to Dandana restaurant several times. The main courses that I have tried have been VERY GOOD as well as the appetizers. The pita bread is hit or miss, sometimes soft, sometimes crunchy. The service is also hit or miss depending on the wait staff. Some of the waitresses understand that no matter your nationality, you are a paying/tipping customer. Other waitresses are exceptionally poor at their job. These individuals do favor serving customers of their own culture, forgetting to bring the appetizers before the main meal, very long wait times for drinks, the meal, the check ect.... On these occasions I do not leave a tip. I suffer through the poor service because I like the food. I do not know of any other Middle Eastern restaruant in the area. I would like to give a 5 star rating on the food, but the intermittant sucky service ruins it for me. -MM

I have been to a lot of middle eastern restaurants that are better than this but not in Glendora. It is very nice inside, however the cigarette smoke was not (the patio was almost completely enclosed and I would think this would be illegal in CA). I noticed that they are very rude to people outside their culture but just my observation. It took over 10 minutes to acknowledge we were there to seat us and another 15 minutes or more for our drinks to arrive. The pita bread (if you can call it that was horrible). It was so crispy it tasted stale and it is hard to screw up pita bread. The salad was brown and two pieces of my chicken kabob were raw inside (the chicken would have been good except for this)! The hummus was good. The rice was not basmati rice and was disappointing. The worst part was the service. No refills and the waitress never came back once except at the very end (we were finished with our meal 15-20 minutes prior) to bring us a dish we ordered as an appetizer and then expected us to pay for it. The restaurant had about 4 tables of customers so to say they were busy would not be an excuse. Needless to say I was not planning on leaving a tip (even though I usually tip 20% for good service), however I noticed with mine and one other table the waitress stayed and made sure I signed the credit card receipt (even though they already processed my credit card). We were dressed up that night and came directly after work so I thought this was very rude and have never had this happen at any restaurant I've ever been to. I will never go back here.

This resturant is a great new place in glendora with friendly people and a soothing environment. There home baked bread, hummus and pastries were out of this world. I went there because I heard they serve hookas and that they were good and for a reasonable price, their hookahs were good but i was taken by their food. I then took my girlfriend the very next day so that she would believe me that the cheese pies that i tried are one of the few things with cheese that i would eat. It was amazing.
