The Scratch Patch is a fun family experience - interactive gemstone collecting/treasure hunt that is educational, and fun for the whole family. The Scratch Patch just opened a NEW LOCATION with 2 tons of tumbled gemstones!!! Please visit us this summer! It’s a place where parents, grandparents, kids, teens and groups of friends can visit and each age group gets something different out of this magical experience. Visualize an extra large sandpit, but instead of sand it is filled with over 150 varieties of sparkling smooth tumbled gem stones from all over the world. You sit among thousands of stones and “scratch” for your favorites then fill a bag to take home with you. You only pay for the bag, not the weight, or type of stones. Identification of the stones cannot be easier with our identification chart. Put an identification chart up in your home, every time you walk past it, take a minute to stop, pick up a rock from your collection and search for its name on the chart. You can put the stones in pot plants, in aquariums, in the garden, in a beautiful glass vase for decoration in your home, you can use them for mosaic art, put them in your bathroom or simply hold them in your hand to inspire you with its texture, beauty and color.

What an experience. We just visited the new location and it is amazing! It is much bigger and they have over 2 tons of rocks there. As always my kids loved it and I got some beautiful stones for myself (again:))
There is a new identification chart to identify the rocks with, they have over 150 different types.
Parking: Find parking higher up on Latona Ave or on a side street like 64th. It is a minute or 2 walk.
I highly recommend this unique experience, please give them a try this summer.

Imagine thousands of beautiful tumbled stones. Now imagine being able to walk and sit amongst them. Now imagine finding your favorite and taking them home with you. Our whole family had the most amazing time. We are still talking about our experience. The color, the sounds it was truly unique. I highly recommend a visit to the Scratch Patch.

I recently visited the Scratch Patch with my family and it was truly an amazing experience which we continually talk about. From the very moment I entered the bright yellow doors I felt as if we entered into another world with thousands of beautiful gemstones covering the floor. We spent hours there scratching for our favorite gemstones. Thank you Scratch Patch! We will be back soon.
