I've had great luck with North Shore CrossFit - the classes are fun, always varied, and motivating. I personally would never keep going to the gym if I was depending on myself for motivation and facing a room full of machines and walls full of mirrors - or even going to the usual gym classes where the teachers have a full class and lead the movements, but don't really teach each person.

Classes at North shore crossfit involve a lot of interaction with the trainers - they go from person to person and coach and correct form - this has helped me progress much more quickly.

Everything is about function and fitness here - it is refreshingly fluff free. The trainers are highly trained and are working toward their own goals and events - so it is very easy to take their advice! The classes have all kinds of people in them, from housewives to serious athletes - and the workout is scaled to each individual so everyone gets what they need. The atmosphere is very encouraging and unintimidating.

I hadn't exercised in 10 years when I first went to a class - but I did fine because they encouraged me to just do what I could at my level and slowly build up. I have seen a huge improvement in my strength, flexibility, endurance - everything. I really think that CrossFit works!

Highly recommended!! I can't say enough good about it. It has been GREAT and EFFECTIVE for me.

PS - no contracts. Just pay per class, or get a break by paying per month if you come often enough. . . and stop any time. First class is free, too.
