I have worked at Children's Cottage for almost six years. The teachers and staff are caring and loving individuals who take a great interest in the children in their care. The children are provided well balanced snacks and lunches that are well above the state requirements. Classrooms are cleaned on a daily basis as well as toys and other equipment found in the classroom. The classrooms are provided with toys and equipment that meets the needs of that specific age group. For example computers for the 3 and 4yr old pre-k classes. The children are very happy and are well taken care of by staff and teachers, The school is bright and inviting as you enter the building and visit the classrooms and the well equiped playground. As a teacher and a grandmother I would highly recommend this daycare.

I have worked at Children's Cottage Preschool for 6 years. I previously worked at other preschools and this one is the best. The school is large, bright, cheerful and clean. The classrooms are divided according to age and are full of age appropriate toys and educational materials for the children. The older classrooms have computers for the children and learning programs that teach the children. The older classes do special activities including tumbling, music, dance and physical education. The school has a large shaded playground. They serve breakfast, lunch and snacks each day. The toys are sanitized regularly. Most of the children love coming to school to learn and be with their friends. The other teachers are friendly and caring and all seem to love their jobs and the children. The younger childen at the school learn also and appear to be happy and well cared for. I love working at Children's Cottage Preschool. I recommend the school to everyone.

My daughter is in the 2 year old class at Children's Cottage Preschool. She loves her teacher and is learning a lot. She loves to go to school and misses her friends and teachers on the weekends. This is my second child to attend Children's Cottage. My older daughter is now 6 and spent 4 years at the school. She has fond memories of her preschool years. The school is well run and we have never had any problems or complaints.

You get what you pay for. It is an inexpensive daycare. The toys are old. I picked a random toy out of a shelf in the baby room, just to check cleanliness: the toy car garage was sticky from top to bottom! The food is cheap. I didn't think people ate those 99 cent hotdogs. I think the name brand is Bar. What ever the most inexpensive ones are that taste horrible.
Yes I did watch the PB and J webcam. I watched children in the baby room just stand around with no direction any time I randomly checked. I watched the owner try pull a child who had a tantrum off the floor with only one of his arms. She wasn't successful so she left him on the ground. She also pulled toddler off a table with one arm. I thought there was a procedure as to how to handle children. Maybe I'm wrong but I volunteered at a daycare in my college years we were trained to pick a child up (or off) with both their arms to prevent injury.
They have plenty of outside time which is good.
I have a childcare worker yell to a crying child missing mom who just left, "stop your whining already!" I'm sorry but that is the most inappropriate thing to say to a child, let alone in front of another parent leaving his/her child.
Have your child join and watch for yourself. Too bad the webcams do not have audio. Unfortunately, most parents who send their children there don't have the time to watch the webcam, nor have time to stay a while and listen. I had the chance to do both and shortly after, am no longer a paying customer to that facility.
The supervision is dependent on who is working. Some better than others. MUCH better. Just watch the webcam. I'll leave it at that.
The older classrooms have more consistency. It seemed like there were a lot of random workers in the baby room I really was not comfortable picking my baby up and seeing a worker I'd never seen before.
It is affordable childcare. The activities are very basic - crayons and xeroxed coloring sheets/activities. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say 6.

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS DAYCARE AS POSSIBLE!!!! Use this daycare as your last, and I mean, very last resort. The owner is very mean and rough with the children. She never says anything positive to the children and staff. The staff, I believe, are the only reason the place still has children. The staff are great and wonderful! The owner is not one you would want to associate with. She is negative and a terrible person. STAY FAR AWAY!

Children's Cottage is a great preschool.
The facility is new.
The building is bright and cheerful and is kept very clean.
The children are grouped according to their age and
are taught in all of the classrooms.
The business is well run and the teachers are
very caring and experienced.
The tuition at this school is very reasonable.
I highly recommend Children's Cottage Preschool.
