I chose this dematologist office because their web site states that your initial visit is complementary. I had my visit and was prescribed a cream to apply to my condition. I had a follow-up appt. that I had to cancel and before I reschduled, I received a bill for the initial visit. I called the office about this and was told the initial visit is not free it it was for a medical reason. If it was purely cosmetic, it would be free. Seems that little detail could be better noted on their web page!

I've took my daugher to Dermatology Associates recently to have a bump on her skin diagnosed. They diagnosed it as a type of wart (it was on her hip) and recommended that they apply an acid-type cream to remove it. My 7-year old asked if it would hurt, and was told, "trust me, this won't hurt at all." It didn't hurt at first, but later that evening she was in a great deal of pain as the surrounding skin began to bleed and swell as it was etched away by the acid. We would have appreciated some honesty, and perhaps a different choice on the treatment.
